A/N: Sorry that I haven't updated in quite a while. I still love to write but for the last year and a half or so, I've had writers block or lack of motivation, not really sure which. When I do update any of my stories it will be sporadic. This story will focus mainly on the Harry Potter series with the Percy Jackson series running as a background. Also a fair warning, Jade will be bisexual. The relationships will be mostly male but there will be females as well. Nothing graphic. At most kissing and coping a feel. It won't happen until Jade is 13 or 14. I try to avoid spelling errors but rereading I have found a great number. Eventually I will go back and correct it but I want to get the story going again first. A few chapters from now I will be skipping to when Jade is eleven and about to receive her letter.

Chapter 4~ Learning from Camp

Jade woke up the very next day. She felt exhausted. Must be the excitement of finally being claimed last night. She feared that people would begin to hate her because she choose and was claimed by Hades as her father. She had been at Camp Half-Blood for over a week already but she still felt like no one would care for her, even though that a few already showed that they did.

Jade knew her relatives hold on her was slowly disappearing but she knew that part of it would be there for a long while. Jade put on an outfit of loose jeans and a green t-shirt. The Aphrodite kids had delivered her clothes while she still slept. Jade wanted to ask Chiron about getting a curtain or something similar for her bed. She knew it was odd and that others would think her weird for it, but enclosed spaces made her feel safe. The wide open areas of the camp made her uneasy but she was getting used to it. Slowly.

Jade tied her shoes before heading outside. No one else seemed to really be up and about outside. It was still rather early. That was another thing Jade needed to get, a watch or something to help her tell the time. She guessed it was about six o'clock in the morning. That was when she was usually woken by her shrill aunt demanding she start on her share of the chores; or rather all of the chores. Ones that even a grown man would have trouble completing in one day.

Jade shook her head free of those thoughts. She really needed to stop thinking about those vile people and what they did to her. Jade walked slowly to the weapons cabin. She could use her own weapons that her godly parents had given her but she wanted to train with the camps weapons.

She was also not looking forward to the birthday party that Bailey caused by speaking out. She knew that Bailey was only trying to help out but Jade really hated the attention. Usually her birthday meant a beating and an old pair socks, which she should be immensely grateful for, as they had cost the Dursleys precious money. This year would be different, she knew that. Jade really needed to stop thinking about the Dursleys. She had a new life now with people that cared about, including her three fathers.

Jade headed to the training hall and armory. She wouldn't be using her wand that given by Hecate for some time. She grabbed a bow and some practice arrows. She had never used them before but she felt drawn to the archery aspect of weapons. She felt the slick wood of one. Dark oak. She grabbed it from the rack. She also grabbed a quiver of arrows.

Some would think that being six years old meant that she couldn't use the bow properly but it felt natural to her. She placed the arrow in the bow and aimed at the target. It was over fifty feet away. She took a deep breath as she pulled back on the string. Then she let go. She walked up to the target to see where she hit. Not a bulls eye but close.

Jade walked back to her previous position and fired six in a row. Quite quickly. It had surprised Jade, the speed that she had performed. Her aim wasn't perfect but that would take some practice.

She retrieved her arrows after she had used up all 16 of them. She practised for quite some time. She hadn't noticed some of the kids exiting their cabins. Jared immediately noticed Jade at the target range.

"Good aim kid." He said.

Jade frowned.

"I need to do better." Jade said.

"Kid, usually on Ares or Athena kids are good with a bow. The way you're using it is pretty amazing." Jared said.

Jade shrugged. She looked up at the teenager.

"Is it time for breakfast?" She asked.

"Yes. Everyone's heading there now. Care to walk with me. Bailey will meet us there." Jared said.

Jade smiled.

"Thank you." She said.

Jared seemed confused but he spoke with a smile.

"For being nice to me. Bailey too." Jade said. She bowed her head in childish shyness.

"No problem." Jared smiled.

Jade and Jared walked into the dining hall. Bailey waved them over.

They sat at the table together. Despite being from three different godly parents, they decided they wouldn't let that separate them.

Chiron stood up at the head table.

"May I have your attention lease?" Chiron called out. The campers quieted down and looked to their leader.

"Thank you. For those of you who were not at the sing-a-long last night, we will be having a belated birthday party for one of our newcomers Jade Potter. She has just turned six years old. The party will be held in three hours here at the dining hall. Everyone will bring something, it can be anything, homemade or bought. Thank you. You may all eat now." Chiron said as he, himself sat down.

Jade felt everyone's eyes on her as Chiron gave the announcement. She tried to accept it but it was very difficult to do so. Bailey rubbed her back. Jade almost started crying. She remembered the same feeling. Her mother used to do the same to her.

"Are you okay?" Jason asked, as he sat across from her and saw the tears in her eyes.

"I miss my mommy." Jade whispered quietly.

"Anyone would, especially someone with a life as tough as yours." Bailey whispered back as she continued to rub Jades back.

"You should eat some food Jade. A demi-god needs to keep their strength up. We eat three times as much as a mortal does." Jared said.

Jade nodded and some for appeared on the plate. It was a small amount but her appetite was very slowly growing. However it would be some time before Jade would eat as much as a claimed demi-god her age.

A half an hour later breakfast was finishing up for most of the campers. Jared, Bailey and Jade stood. Jade looked up to the older campers. She suddenly thought of something.

"Jared, Bailey, are there any campers my age? The youngest I can see are 12, I think." Jade asked.

"Most demi-gods don't come into their abilities until their teens, a few come in at 11 or 12. I'd say you're a special case Jade." Jared said.

"Now that you ask it, I have never seen a demi-god come in at your age. It must be because you're a child of Hades." Bailey said.

"Oh, I was hoping to get along with a few kids my age. I'm mature but at times I'm just a child." Jade said.

"You can talk to Chiron about possibly going to a school with mortals. Some of the campers do that here." Bailey said.

"School? I've never been to a school." Jade said with a contemplative look.

Jared and Bailey shared a dark look. They seemed to both hate these mortals more and more. They walked into a classroom like place.

"This is where you will have some of your theory classes. We have to leave you here. I have a sword fighting class and Jared has a shift in the infirmary." Bailey said. She kneeled sown and hugged Jade.

Jared ruffled up her hair. Both teenagers left and Jade sat down. One of the camp leaders began to teach the new campers about Greek history.

The class only lasted 45 minutes. Jade stayed in the classroom afterword's to talk to Abigail, the teacher.

"I have a question ma'am." Jade looked down ashamed.

"Please call me Abby. What did you want to ask?" She asked.

"Are you writing in Greek?" Jade asked.

"Yes, I am. Why do you ask that?" Abby asked.

"It's the first time I've been able to understand writings without a headache." Jade said.

"Greek is the only languages the demi-gods can completely understand. It's how our brains are wired. Any other language, mostly written is difficult for the Greek language to truly understand and translate into words your brain can comprehend. So we are diagnosed with dyslexia. Is that understandable?" Abby questioned.

"Yes, I understand. Thank you." Jade said and turned to leave.

"Oh Jade, happy birthday." Abby said.

Jade cringed and turned a little red but smiled anyway.

"Thank you Abby. Goodbye." Jade left.

"Goodbye Jade." Abby said as the younger girl left.

Jade had to deal with people wishing her a happy birthday until her part at the dining hall. She knew that they were only being nice to her. She just wasn't used to it yet. She wasn't sure if she would ever be alright with the attention that was placed on her.

Jared seemed to be finished his shift in the infirmary and he was walking towards her. Jade had been practising with the bow again.

"It's time for the birthday girl to arrive at her party." Jared smiled.

"IS what I'm wearing okay?" Jade asked.

Jade was wearing brown shorts and a blue and white striped t-shirt.

"What you have on is fine. We always wear just causal stuff to parties, unless it a solstice party." Jared said.

Jared held her hand as they walked to the dining hall.

"Happy birthday!" Everyone shouted as they walked in.

"Thanks." Jade said shyly.

"What do you want first, cake or presents?" Mr. D asked.

"Uhhh… I don't know." Jade said with a shrug. She looked to one of the tables. It was covered with presents. The cake was amazing. It had Hades symbol on it.

"Flip a coin!" One camper suggested.

"Okay, heads is presents and tails is cake." Mr. D said. The coin flung through the air and landed on the dining hall floor.

"Heads!" Came the proclamation.

"Presents!" Another shouted.

"Sit down Jade, you look like your about to faint." Bailey said.

She was sat at one table and presents were brought to her one at a time. She opened them with childlike glee.

She got a number of things, such as coloring books, crayons, toy soldiers like her brother had, a backpack, clothes, a bike and a few pairs of sneakers. Bailey got her a Greek dictionary and Jared got her an arm guard for archery.

Then they had cake. It was rainbow sprinkles on the inside. Jade loved it. She quite enjoyed her birthday party, even if she didn't like the attention.

At the end of the party, which was near 3 o'clock in the afternoon, she took all her presents to her cabin.

It was all very strange. She no longer felt like she was worth less than the dirt on her relative's shoes. Now she felt as if her life had a purpose and that people truly cared for her here.

Jade promised she would make the most out of life, while facing her destiny.

Happy update after a year and half. It will be probably sometime before I update again but it will be less than a year and a half. Thank you for waiting so patiently.
