Chapter 4: One of Those Days

Today was slowly turning into a very horrible nightmare. Like almost every day did for Yzak. Often, it felt as his he was dreaming and he would close his eyes and will himself to wake up. When he opened his eyes to find it hadn't worked though, he'd usually throw a chair across the room, or scream at a subordinate just to make himself feel slight better. After all, being stuck in a state of constant humiliation does tend to drive a person beyond their limit.

But this surely had to be some sort of joke. Even his real nightmares weren't as bad as this! Right now, he really needed Athrun or Dearka around to attack, physically or verbally, doesn't really matter. But the only two people around this damn house were his mother and that god forsaken Tomboy.

Shiho

Even her name made his blood boil. To everyone else, she was a quiet, level-headed girl, but behind closed doors, she was a violent, loud, opinionated Tomboy. He'd be damned if he actually went through with this marriage.

'Seriously, what kind of hellish place have I been born into!?' He growled to himself.

Who even has arranged marriages these days anyway? Had no one learnt from Lacus and Athrun? And with someone like Shiho? She wasn't pretty, she wasn't nice, she wasn't compassionate, and she was like a clone of that woman Athrun liked. Except of course, Shiho was prettier, nicer and a lot quieter.

Oh what the hell!? He'd just contradicted everything he'd just thought. Oh no. No, no, no. He was not falling into this trap. He'd seen it many times before and there was no way in hell that he was just going to stroll right into it. Athrun had fallen in love with that Cagalli woman, Cry-baby Yamato had fallen in love with the Pink Princess, and Dearka had fallen for that crazy brown haired psycho who'd tried to kill him. He witnessed them all and he'd cleverly found a way to avoid ending up like…like them.

The best and most efficient way to stop himself falling in love with Shiho; was to stay as far away as possible.

Not that he would fall for her or anything, but you know, just in case…

"Yzak dear, I've arranged the date for-dear? Wait sweetheart, where are you going? Yzak? COME BACK HERE!"
