A/N: What happen to Sonic and Co. after they've been discovered by Asuna? Read this one and enjoy, folks!
At our heroes' world…
Blaze and Knuckles were having discussion about what should they do next until Cream came along to their group.
"Blaze, Knuckles, is something the matter?" The rabbit asked politely
"Cream, good timing! We're just talking about your part!" Blaze said
"Hmm? What part are you guys talking about me?"
"You see…we think than since this world hasn't completely peace as we thought, we might have to train you and Amy so you guys can protect yourself, that's what I think/" Knuckles explained
"I see…If that's true, then I'm gladly accepting it! I'll tell Amy about this, okay?" Cream agreed about the training.
"That would be great! Please send this message to Amy!" Blaze said in grateful. Cream then left and flying towards the sky. "Well, Knuckles, are you sure this method will protect them?"
"This is the best idea I had since both of them were not given the power of Chaos Emerald. This is the best that we could do about it."
"I understand." Blaze and Knuckles continue their training after the discussion was over.
Meanwhile, back in Mahora Academy…
Sonic are having trouble dealing with Asuna. Not just he had to keep dodging every attack that she launched to him whom he is already used to it by dodging with such an ease, but also about their secret and their origin.
"C'mon, Asuna-san! I have no idea what you are talking about Asuna-san. Where did you come up with that conclusion?"
""Because I saw you guys just disappeared in front of the statue with a bright light," said Asuna sternly as she still swing the broom that she hold. "Are you guys a mage?"
Our heroes who just heard what she said blinked a couple of times before they could process what she just said. Sonic turned his attention to Shadow while still dodging Asuna's swing, "Hey, Shads! Should we tell them about our secret?"
"It's up to you, Sonic. You seem having trouble with that girl." Said Shadow rather sternly as he watch the fight between them.
"Don't worry, I got this one covered. Sorry, Asuna-san." Sonic's face turned into serious one as he prepared for his attack. When Asuna swing towards him for the last time, she thought that it hit him. But Sonic immediately use his tremendous speed to avoid it and appear behind Asuna's back. The girl didn't realize about that one but little did she know that the broom she holds was also gone and Sonic holds it. Then Sonic use the stick of the broom to appear right next to her throat, ended their battle. "I suggest that you don't move an inch because if you do, I can't guarantee about your life."
"H-how in the world did you do that? You guys are definitely not normal…" Asuna said in trembling from the threat she had. But Sonic is not a sadistic killer as he throws the broom away from the side and explained the situation.
"*sigh* you know, if you want to know so badly about us, we would gladly tell our stories without doing anything like this one." Sonic sighed
"Well, excuse me! I'm doing that because I thought you guys are perverting, okay?" Asuna yelled
"Hey! We're not damn stupid pervert here! We just want to take a shower then you guys suddenly attacking us because of that stupid thought of yours!" Sonic back yelled at her.
"SAY WHAT? I dare you to say that again, baka (idiot) hedgheog!" Asuna and Sonic glared each other as they continue to argue each other. Tails and Negi try to calm them down but to the surprise of all, Shadow grabbed Sonic out of nowhere and throws him away, but Sonic landed safely.
"Sonic, you need to calm down! Remember our mission here!" Shadow scolded at his friend/rival
"Sorry, Shads. I got carried away. I shouldn't do that earlier." Sonic scratched his back after been hit by the wall, although it seems he used to it. "Negi-san, Asuna-san, if you want to know all of our secrets, ask the old man in the office."
"Old man? Do you mean Konoe-san?" Asked Negi
"Yeah, I mean that one. He knows all of our secret and our origin. Just asked him, okay?" Sonic said rather irritated.
"And why didn't you guys just telling us now? We know that we good when it comes to keep a secret!" Asuna yelled at them.
"It's not the right time. I'll tell you guys on our way to Kyoto, how's that sound?" Sonic giving a trademark smile.
"Fine, I'll trust you, but you better keep your promise or I'll hit you head!" Asuna said while let out her grin.
"Hehehe, sure thing! Oh, if you must know, we have been assigned as the dorm's supervisor. Ask Negi if you still don't believe us." Sonic pointed at the young-boy named Negi.
"Negi-bouzu, is that true what he said?"
"Ah, yes! They were been assigned as the dorm's supervisor since I was at Konoe's office and heard about the conversation." Negi said
"Well, that was awkward, but whatever." Asuna said in defeat. Our heroes let out their sigh of relief.
"Well, now that we got that cleared out, we should get going before the other girls sees us," said Sonic as he grabbed his or Tails's stuff and left the bath hall.
As our heroes walked way down to their room, Sonic talked to Shadow about their trip to Kyoto, "Shads, do you have something in your mind because you look rather serious lately?"
"Do you remember what Asuna thought about us earlier?" Shadow asked
"Do you mean mage? Yeah, she said that to us. What about it?" Sonic said
"Don't you get it? It means that she know about that Negi boy as a mage too."
"I know what you mean, Shadow. I sense Negi's energy and he sure a mage for sure." Tails stated
"Well, whatever in case, we just have to protect him, right guys?" Sonic asked in casual tone.
Our heroes entered the room without being seen by anyone and went straight to their bed as they begin to sleep. However, Sonic still feel guilty about the quarrel he had with Asuna. 'Guess I have come to her room in my usual way.' He used Chaos control to teleported him in front of the door way of Negi's room, only to be greeted by an Asuna in pajamas. "What is it? What do you want now? You know what time is it, right?" Asuna said tiredly.
"Well, I want to say sorry about earlier in the bath. This is a token of friendship." He took out a box from his pocket and tossed it to her. "Hope you like it, Asuna-san."
He then flashed away using his trademark speed. Asuna walked inside and opened it, to reveal a nice ring and inside of the box there was a note as she took it and read it.
"I asked Negi what your favorite gift was since today it's your birthday which this is all of sudden for me. This is all I have in my store and giving this to you as a sign to asking if we're finally cool with each other? I know we had rough start back then, so happy birthday, Asuna-san!" A sign of Sonic's peace appeared on the note.
'Baka, we're friends already,' Asuna thought. 'I should thank him tomorrow on the train..' She drifted off to sleep as she put the ring in herfinger.
A/N: Wohoo! It looks like Sonic and Asuna are having some nice friendship here, or maybe as a couple? Nah, the possibilities can go anytime as the story goes on.
Next chapter will be start of Kyoto arc. What will Sonic and Co. have store in them?
