Chapter 4

Author note: this one and the next chapter took some planning so I didn't mess them up to much. Hope you enjoy xox

The case had dragged on for a long 8 days ending with the team finally finding the unsub and putting that son of a bitch into prison for life.

[Emily: Alex we've just closed the case staying for 1 or 2 more nights to finish everything up. Love you I'll see you soon xox

[alex: yeah ok Emily, love you too!!! guess what I got onto the soccer team and Jess got onto her cheer squad!! Xox

[emily: Oh my god baby girl, I'm so proud of you both!!!! I knew you would do it, you're amazing at soccer , taking you out when I get back to celebrate!!! xox

Emily squeaked out loud not realising she was surrounded by her team. She looked up from her phone to see them staring at her.

"What was that about Princess?" Derek smirked at the pale girl sitting in the chair across from him.

"Alex made the soccer team and Jess made her all star cheer squad" Prentiss smiled proudly watching Derek pump his fist into the air. He was Alex's soccer coach for her tryouts and they trained so hard, he also helped jess with her flying so he was like a proud dad.

"That's great" JJ added, things were tense between the two women, Emily told Jennifer that after the case they needed to talk about everything, neither was looking forward to that.

"Okok celebrations can be in order when we're back in dc, now who wants a drink this ones been a long one" Rossi offered receiving various answers that all translated to "hell yeah let's get pissed"

The team were at a local bar drinking and dancing together to get their mind off the case.

JJ had drank a lot more than everyone else, they assumed it was because the victims were children but it wasn't just that , she felt guilty, she couldn't avoid Emily any longer so getting too drunk to function was a way to do that.

Emily was up dancing and laughing with Morgan, she decided not to drink much since they were headed home tomorrow and traveling was bad enough without the hangover. That's when she saw JJ get out of the chair to leave but falling slightly, she rushed over to the blondes side to keep her safe.

"Woah woah woah Jen, where you going? I think you've drank a bit to much , let me take you back to the room" Emily wrapped an arm around JJs waist to stabilise her.

"Hey guys I'm gonna take Jenn back up , she's a little to drunk" she giggled, "see you in the morning"

Goodbyes were shouted back at her.

It was taking too long to walk back to the motel, which was usually a five minute walk,JJ was too drunk to even stand by herself. Emily made the conscious decision to pick JJ up and carry her to the motel.

She scooped the blonde up carrying her down the street.

JJ automatically snuggled into Emily's neck while being carried like a five year old.

"Why are you being niceeee" JJ asked poking Emily in the chest.

"Because I care" Emily laughed at the blondes actions turning onto the street of the motel.

"Ohhhh you cutie patootie, you care about meeeeee, I care about youuuu" JJ started to sing a made up song to the brunette while holding onto her so tight.

They made it to the motel room and Emily let JJ down and gave her some water. She seemed to have sobered up a bit but she was still very drunk, but at least she could walk now.

Emily went into the bathroom to change and allow JJ to do the same only to come out to a half naked JJ dancing and singing. Emily burst out laughing watching the blonde dance.

"Like what you see em?" The blonde bit her lip placing her hands on her hips.

"You're way too drunk for this and we need to real talk before the dirty talk love so get your pJs on and get in bed" Emily laughed at her walking to the couch.

After ten minutes of silence the two were lay staring at the ceiling, Emily on the couch JJ on the bed.

"Emily?" JJ questioned in a cute tone.

"Yeah Jayje" Emily sat up from her position to face the bed

" I know this is stupid but can you come and stay with me till I sleep, I'm a clingy drunk person and I can't sleep without someone next to me when I'm like this" she whispered to Emily.

The brunette thought it was cute how she waited so long to ask could she sleep in the same bed as her.

"Sure Jen" a very tired Emily smiled at a smiling Jennifer and slipped under the covers with her. JJ cuddled up to Emily to keep warm and Emily didn't have the heart to tell her they shouldn't. Not because Emily didn't want to but because they seriously needed to talk and this isn't helping her prepare for the worst.

The next morning Emily woke up early and slowly and carefully escaped from Jennifer's grip. Emily got dressed and headed out to get some food for breakfast, the two needed to talk but JJ would have a wicked hangover so she may aswell get some stuff to help her out, she bought toaster waffles, fruit ,orange juice and Advil, hoping it would help jjs hangover subside so they could talk. When she arrived back JJ was no longer in bed and she heard the shower running, Emily decided to prepare breakfast while the blonde showered and got ready.

"Oh em, id wondered where you went , what's this?" JJ didn't seem to have a hangover at all.

"Oh I went to the store, just some breakfast, thought you may want it for the killer hangover you don't seem to have" Emily chuckled bringing the plate over to JJ along with Advil and orange juice.

"Yeah I have a little one but I don't really get hangovers, I thought after last night I would but the 2 litre water you gave me before bed really helped" Jennifer smiled sitting to eat her breakfast. The two sat in silence for a while until Jennifer broke it.

"Did I embarrass myself last night?" She asked shyly

"No not at all, you were great apart from getting distracted while getting in your pjs, it lead to you dancing around half naked" Emily laughed seeing JJ cover her face "then you proceeded to ask me if I like what I saw, I mean you have a great body kid but I told you that you were too drunk for that"

JJ looked up horrified, she couldn't believe she said that. "Thanks , for the good body thing and for looking after me all night, you're great honestly, especially after everything that happened and you still looked after me" JJ said as she took the last bite of her waffle.

"Look JJ you're my bestfriend ok, nothing's going to change that, even if something happens between us you will always be my bestfriend" Emily offered a friendly smile.

"You're mine too em" JJ added.

"We need to talk" Emily stated seriously JJ huffed.
