We all go as a team 4

Author Note: Okay, okay, I KNOW it's been, like, EVER since I updated this thing! Well, the story flow is flooding as it is, so I guess let's get this party STARTED!

Rainy stared at the ceiling fan, swirling slowly as Abby slept on the other side of the room. She was younger and so bubbly, and everything seemed a bit better with her around. Twinkle was shy but strong, Calvan was displined and a amazing swordsman, Paula was sensitive and bubbly, Lily was bold and fearless, John was..well, John, and Derik was a bit moody. Wendy was headstrong and stubborn, and Tiffany was their EPIC leader.

So where did that leave their Green Ranger?

She was insecure and felt bad about her lack of skill in battle. She wasn't as fast or strong as the others, and she never would be. She was a video gamer and a skater with insecurities she never wanted to talk about. She acted real tough around the others, but inside, she was crying. The young adult sighed and headed outside into the garden.

The dark haired girl took her long black locks and twirled them in her fingers. If she had someone else to be Green Ranger, she'd run away. The team wouldn't miss her at all.

Suddenly, she got an idea. Rainy climbed over the wall quickly, dropping down to the other side. Cool night air rushed against her as she ran, hair billowing behind her and eyes squinting. Finally, she haulted in front of a house that looked so familiar. She knew this was dangerous, but it would be worth it. The teen climbed up the side with the garden ladder and dropped into the bathroom.

She silently crept into the dark hallway. Snoring came from one door, and a light was on in for another. It was dim, meaning it was a nightlight. She tiptoed down the carpeted way, peering into one room to see a sleeping girl around her age in there, fast asleep, Finally, she found him. He was sitting on his bed in the dark room, playing a handheld game .

"Boo," she whispered, and he about jumped out of his skin.

"Rainy?" he whispered excitedly.

"What's up, Josh?" she sat beside her crush on his bed. Josh was Tiffany's older brother, whom she'd competed against when seeing who'd be Red Ranger. (See To be a Ranger.)

"What are you doing here?" he asked, "isn't it, like, really dangerous to be outside of the Shiba House?"

"Well," she decided to come right out and say it, "I want you to be Green Ranger instead of me." She covered his mouth and shoved him into the bed to muffle his scream.

"I can't," his eyes were disks, "I'm not a decendent, and besides, YOUR Green Ranger!"

"But I can't do this," she sighed, "I'm not as strong or quick as the others, and I'm a bad example to the younger kids. I can't go on with all this stress. I'm not ready, and I never will be."

"But I can't harness the symbols," Josh argued.

"You will just like I learned," she insisted, "please, Josh. I know how much you wanted to be Red Ranger, and here's your chance to prove yourself! To be a true Samurai Ranger!"

They locked eyes, and he saw the pain in hers. He wanted to help and to be a Ranger, but what about the team? Could he really just take the place of her and be able to be as good as her?

"Please," she lowered her head.

"Okay," he finally agreed, "teach me."

For the next couple of months, Rainy taught Josh how to be Green Ranger in secretcy at night. He caught on quick, and pretty soon he was able to take her down in battle. She finally decided he was ready to be a Samurai and handed over her samuraizer, Zord, and power disk.

"You seem in a good mood," Abby commented the morning after she'd given up all her Samurai gear.

"I have a guest who's coming over in a little while," Rainy replied, looking at the clock and ringing her hands.

"Guest?" Mentor looked at his student, "what kind of guest? You know family and mortals can't come here."

"You'll see," the dark haired girl looked outside, "he's here!" The roar of a Harley Davvison filled the air, and the Rangers all barreled outside.

"No way," Tiffany's eyes grew into full moons.

The rider took off his helmet to let his coco hair fall free. Cutting the engine, he walked up to the Samurai.

"Green Ranger," he announced, "reporting for duty."

"Josh?" Tiffany blinked, "what are you doing here?"

Looking baffled by their shocked looks, he gazed at his crush, "You said that you told them." She put her eyes down to her shoes.

"Tell us?" Paula inquired.

"I can't be a Samurai anymore," Rainy looked at her team, "I'm not strong or fast enough. I can't keep doing this, I'm not strong enough or good enough. I'm not doing anybody any good, so…Josh is taking my place!"

"First of all: That's not true," Lily spoke, "and second of all: Josh doesn't have Green Ranger training."

"It is true, and I've been training him for the past month," Rainy took his helmet, "thanks for letting me use this."

"Don't crash it," the older brother of the Red Ranger grinned before taking her hands, "are you sure you want to do this?"

"Go get em', Green Bean," she responded, fastening the helmet to her head.

"Wait a minute," Tiffany grabbed Rainy's shoulder, "you can't just quit."

"Looks like I just did," the former Green Ranger batted the younger girl's hand away and climbed on the motorcycle, speeding off.

The team stared at where she once was.

"I can't believe this," Abby looked heartbroken.

"We'll bring her back," Calvan tried to assure, "I'm sure we can."

"Well, until we can," Josh gave a small smile to Tiffany, "where do I put my stuff, sis?"
