Flashback: London, January 3rd 1952

Alice was walking down a singled cobbled street, pulling her black coat tighter across her purple 50's dress. The wind breezed through her blond hair, causing strands of it to fall in her eyes. She heard footsteps behind her, and gasped turning around, but seeing no one. She shrugged, turning back around, and jumped when she noticed a figure standing in her path.

"Mitchell?" Alice questioned, stepping closer to the figure. The figure smiled, their mouth open wide, allowing Alice to view their sharp fangs. She screamed, turning away from the figure, and heading back to shop that she just exited. She panted, her breath exiting her in the cold winter air, as she ran to safety.

A searing pain entered Alice's neck, as a cold unfamiliar arm wrapped around her waist. She gurgled, leaning helplessly into the stranger's hold. She felt the life drain away from her, as the vampire sucked her blood from her neck.

"Alice, Alice" She heard a voice call.

In her swimming vision, Alice noticed Mitchell appearing in her foresight, looking angry with blackened eyes and sharp fangs appearing. The Vampire, who was feeding from her, pushed her to the floor, like she was nothing. She whimpered, glancing at her attacker. She recognised the face, but couldn't put a name to it.

"Herrick, what the fuck are you doing? She is my best friend." Mitchell said viciously, staring at Herrick.

"That is why I did it. Because you pissed me off, and she is the most important person in your life right now, and she is your weakness."

Mitchell stared at Herrick confused, before Herrick smiled and zoomed off.

Mitchell cried out, leaning over Alice's bloodied body, willing for her to live. Her body went limp, and he froze.

He shook her, calling her name. With no reply falling on his ears, he sobbed, cradling her close to him.

He remained at the street until the early hours of the morning, cradling his best friend's body close to him.

Alice gasped, pulling her self upright, her eyes as black as midnight. She clutched her throat, where two punctures lay bleeding. She gasped, almost wheezing, when Mitchell gently steered her face to his.

"Hey, Al, calm down. I will help you." Mitchell promised, hugging Alice tightly to him.
