Today was just not Shinso's day.
Monoma was being an asshole, like usual, to anyone who got in his way. This time it was Hagakure, a girl from class 1-A.
Poor Hagakure. She didn't do anything (this time.)
Normally Shinso would brush it off, maybe try to help if he felt up to it. Today however, he absolutely did not feel up to it.
Shinso got about an hour of sleep last night. Not to far off from the usual, but today was worse.
Today he had three tests, all in a row. He forgot to study for every single one of them.
He got an hour of sleep. That's it.
He has almost nothing except new bruises and extreme under-eye bags.
Wonderful.
Today wouldn't be so bad if everybody was unobservant enough to notice.
Just my luck that half of everyone in this school has an IQ of over 9000.
Shinso had a mental list of people he had to watch out for the most. The most observant and intelligent people in school, not just limited to students.
Monoma (for some reason).
Bakugou.
Yaoyorozu.
Izuku.
Aizawa.
Tokoyami.
Iida.
Todoroki (...maybe-sometimes he seems rather unaware of other people)
Midoriya.
Shinso was sure there were more (because he's paranoid), but he didn't know enough about his classmates to say who. /Authors note: lmao he has no idea/
What he did know for sure was that they were all dangerous.
Well, maybe not physically dangerous. Mostly Monoma and Izuku.
The most physically dangerous were Bakugou, Tokoyami, Todoroki, and maybe Aizawa. Maybe Yamada, although maybe not the brightest, could be dangerous.
Shinso had seen how they react to seemingly perfectly normal things. Even a pencil dropping had them all alert. They all had wicked fast reaction times. Even the way they walked spelled danger. He didn't exactly know why; he just had a feeling.
Shinso shook his head a bit.
Now isn't the time to focus on such things.
Shinso knew he should focus on his tests.
Not that there's a point-I'll fail anyways.
However, his train of thought kept going.
I know they have secrets.
He knew he shouldn't try to meddle. After all, he could end up accidentally revealing himself.
Doesn't mean I can't wonder.
Shinso shook his head again. He looked at the clock and saw that the bell was about to ring.
Only a few minutes left.
I'm glad I'm too tired to really freak out.
Too bad I'm too tired to really care about anything except... it doesn't matter anyways.
When the bell rang, he made sure to take his sweet time getting up and leaving the classroom.
Partially because he was sore from a fight last night, mostly because he wanted to delay the inevitable.
He slowly walked to his next class. It took all of his willpower to not skip class.
He knew he couldn't afford it... his grades were already bad enough.
Shinso sighed internally a he stepped into the classroom.
Almost everyone was already in their seats.
At least nobody cared enough to pay him any mind.
He begrudgingly sat down in his seat, just moment before the bell rang.
The teacher immediately began to pass out tests. She was saying something about the tests, but he wasn't really focused on that.
He was busy looking at the questions and realizing he's in deeper water than he thought.
As he looked at the questions on the first page, he vaguely realized that the teacher was telling them to start.
Shinso sighed internally again, and picked up his pencil.
Might as well at least try.
Shinso started filling out his paper, ignoring the heavy feeling of dread.
At least I'm getting it over with.
Shinso hadn't even finished the first problem before he heard the first gun fire.
