Anyeonghassaeyo... it's HyunBin again, with a new chapter for NBFTY (no better father than you). I felt like I wanted to right again, so why not? Well, here you are, the next chapter...

OoOOOoO

In his room, Tao had sat on his bed, doing nothing. What did Kris mean earlier? Who was he talking about? Who is this "she" person? Tao was deeply confused, because his dad wasn't acting himself now. The two of them had both been in their separate rooms, not knowing what the other was doing. Tao was just concern for Kris. He never acts that way. Usually, it's Tao who's the one stressed out by something, while Kris is the one calming him down. Now that it's Kris being stressed out, Tao doesn't know what to do. Should he talk to him? Maybe he shouldn't. There were other times where Kris got upset like this, and when Tao tried to talk to him, he was even more upset. Tao thought he should just let him be. He just hopes that Kris lightens up soon. Tao waited, hoping Kris might walk into his room, but he didn't. Tao grew tired of waiting, and fell asleep.

Tao was startled by the sound of his alarm clock. He picked it up, and saw that he still had it on, even though it was a Saturday. He reached for it, and noticed it was 10am. "That's funny, I don't remember setting it at this time". Tao got up, and then remembered the incident this morning. Could Kris still be upset? Those thoughts suddenly vanished, as he smelled the smell of pancakes coming from the kitchen. He raced towards the smell, and was shocked to see Kris cooking, as if nothing had happened earlier this morning.

"Happy Birthday, Tao". Kris looked at Tao with a smile on his face. Tao, seeing Kris, was pretty surprised. He wanted to reply, but couldn't think of an answer. He ended up laughing by himself. Kris on the other hand found it funny that Tao couldn't even say a simple thankyou, he then also laughed. Tao still thought it was impolite of him to just laugh, so he then answered Kris with a thank you. Tao then sat down, while Kris put a plate of pancakes in front of Tao. Tao smiled as he saw the warm pancakes in front of him, and dug in. While Tao was eating, as if something was reminding him,a memory of this morning came into his mind. He was still pretty curious. Should he bring it up?

"Tao, how 'bout, after you finish your food, you go and shower". Tao looked at Kris, still having the memory from this morning. Tao was really curious, but he didn't want to upset his father. Tao nodded, and continued eating until he finished them. After that, he went straight to his room for some clothes, and walked to the bathroom.

After he had showered, he went back to the kitchen, wanting to see if Kris were still there, but when he had arrived, the kitchen was empty, even the dishes were all clean, and the leftover pancakes were already in the refrigerator. Had Kris left him already? His shoes were still here, so maybe he was still around here somewhere. Tao ran back to his room. He saw everything was just as he left it, except for his bed. He didn't remember doing it yet this morning, yet it was already done. He also realized, there another thing out of place, his study table. There was a present on top of it. He walked towards it, and held the big box wrapped with wrapping paper in his hands.

"Surprise! Happy Birthday Tao". Tao spun around, to see Kris was standing by his door. He had a that face on him again, the one that could make anyone happy. What is it in Kris's face that could do that?

"Well? What are you waiting for? Open it". Hearing the words that came from his father's mouth, Tao sat on the bed. He ripped the wrapping paper, and was extremely shocked of his present. It was a MacBook Air. He had never gotten anything this amazing before.

"Dad! You're amazing!". Kris was glad to see Tao this happy. "I've already filled it with some of your stuff, like your homework, projects, a few movies, and a whole bunch of our pictures from the past. It's got 66 GB, so don't worry, there's still plenty more space for you". Tao was so happy, he can't believe his father really got him this. Tao ran straight for his dad, and hug him. "Thank you so much, Dad".

"Your welcome, son. You know what? How 'bout later, we go out today, somewhere special?". Tao was pretty shocked to hear Kris say those words. He had already bought him a MacBook, and he's "still" going to take him out? This must be the most amazing father in the entire world. Tao answered Kris with a nod. He loves his father so much.

"If you want, you can check out you new MacBook for a while. We'll be going out later, at about 3pm". Tao nodded as an answer, and Kris walked out his room. Tao was so happy today. He quickly turned on his MacBook, and the screen lit up. As he saw the wallpaper on it, it was a picture of the two of them at a Wushu competition, when Tao had won first place. Tao had always loved to fight, and that was when Kris decided Tao to take some lessons. He became a pro at wushu and Kungfu, and now, he was able to take care of himself with no problem. He had mastered martial arts at the age of fifteen. He remembered this picture very well. It was only a few months ago, this picture was taken by a friend, but he never knew his father had it. Tao smiled.

All day, Tao had been opening his MacBook, checking all the things Kris had uploaded into his MacBook, and was quite happy. All his projects were there, so no need for him to move them all the way from the school computer. He saw all the pictures Kris had uploaded, and noticed that Kris were rarely in these pictures. He was only in the new ones, when he was nineteen till now. He was never in pictures when Tao was a kid. Tao tried to remember if he ever took a picture with his father, but he then realized, he never did. The more he scrolled down, the younger he looked, and in each picture he saw, neither of them had his father in it. Not one at all.

Kris had loaded his laptop with over 450 pictures, and only about 20 of them had Kris in it. Why wasn't he in these? Tao kept wondering why.

He then opened the last picture, which was a picture of himself about a year after losing his birth father. He was smiling in that picture, but that wasn't what caught his eyes. Tao was more than shocked, to see that Kris was also there in that picture, and what made it even more shocking, was to the fact that Kris looks like he hadn't even aged a day since then. He looked at the pictures of Kris now in the present, then back at that one picture when Tao was seven. He looked exactly the same. Tao then thought, how was this even possible?

There you have it. My latest chapter. Sorry for the cliffhanger though, I know some of you may hate cliffhangers, but don't you ever was to keep guessing? Just wait for the next chapter. Oh, and I almost forgot, for some of you who don't know Korean, in my last chapter, I wrote two Korean words, kyeopta and aegyo. Kyeopta means "Cute" while Aegyo means "Cuteness" or to show off your cuteness. Just so you know... Well, thank you for reading, please review... gomabseumnida...
