Matthew stood there, letting what his brother had just done sink in.
"Al, you idiot!"
Honestly, only his brother could make that big of a mistake, and on one simple sentence nonetheless.
Now what was he supposed to do? Get Arthur, or follow him?
He sighed and made his decision. Stepping into the fireplace, he repeated his brother's phrase.
"NIRAGON DILLY!"
Matthew's head felt like it was being squeezed so hard that it was going to pop. Green flames swam through his field of vision as he spun around and around. The air rushing past him making a deafening roar, the pressure just kept building, and building, and then, just as thought he was going to explode...nothing.
Coughing up soot, Matthew tumbled out of the fireplace. Blinking at the blur, as he fumbled around for his fallen spectacles.
After locating his missing glasses, he slipped them on and gazed around the room[situation?] that he had -quite literally- fallen into.
It was an odd space. There were no windows in the room, and the only piece of furniture was a display case sitting in the floor's centre. Black pillars ran along curved maroon walls and up the dome shaped ceiling, making patterns that reminded him of a spiders web.
There was no exit.
Trying not to panic, he forced himself to think rationally.
'I'm sure I said exactly what Al said. Yes, I'm sure. So if there wasn't an exit, he would still be in here, right?'
As he sat there trying to reassure himself, he felt a tug on his limbs and a voice resounding in his head. "Come here." it said, speaking in a language without words.
In a trance, he padded over to the display case. Looking inside, he saw a small red stone, perched upon a green and gold pillow. It seemed to almost glow, and gave off an air of power thick as pea soup.
For a moment, as the Canadian's hand touched the glass, he felt it. Unimaginable power, and unimaginable pain. A single word came to mind. Quintessence.
It terrified him.
Pulling away harshly, he stumbled and fell. A loud crunch reverberated throughout the quiet room as he hit the floor.
Once he had calmed his erratically beating heart, Matthew moved over so that he could see what he had crushed with his rump.
It was a..a very mangled Texas.
"Al." he breathed, and all thoughts of the stone were shoved to the back of his mind.
With a reinvigorated determination, he looked around from his new angle on the floor. Spotting a bit of light coming from what seemed to be a crack between the wall and floorboards. He quietly crawled over to it, inspecting the area.
Feeling along the floor's edge, he noticed one of the wooden tiles was loose. Digging his fingernails in between the cracks, he managed to dislodge the piece of flooring. A passageway.
"Alfred must have gone through here" he muttered before disappearing into the tunnel's hazy torch light.
A/N: well there it is, I hope you liked it and sorry about it being so short. I Promise, I'll update real soon :)
Purpal'ice: aw your welcome, sorry it took me so long to update. And yeah, it was a very awesome musical.
Your so sweet thank you, i was worried that i did a bad job at writing Al's POV.
Also, OMG you have no idea how awesome it is to know that i made someone laugh, in my family I'm always the
notfunny one. And yeah, Al's reaction to the castle ghosts is going to be interesting that's for sure. :D
Leafdapple3: the pleasure is all mine, yeah everybody love reviews. And lol that happens to me all the time even when I'm not pretending to be Mattie. Just the other day i was standing beside my mum trying to get her attention for at least 10 MINUTES and she didn't even notice i was there :(
Any way, thanks for the review :)
DarKitsuneFluffy: ha ha yeah, only Al :)
Canadian Otaku 2001: MuahHahaha do you like were i sent Al? (and Mattie) ;)
Lukas Le Stelle: Squeeeeeeeeee! THANKS and Alfred sure did mess up didn't he XD
invisio-bella: On the hetalia side of things, i don't there will be any shippings, perhaps a few small Fruk innuendos.
Maybe a prucan referece here and there. But nothing that would dissuade someone who doesn't like a pairing, from reading it. On the HP side however, there will be a few pairings, mostly cannon with a side of Nevile/Luna. :)
