Chapter 4: May I Have This Dance?
Tony's POV
"Ouch!" I said as Dummy stabs me with another needle. "Sorry Sir, but if you had not ripped your good suit 2 hours before the ball then we wouldn't have to be doing this." Jarvis said with a tone. "Sorry I didn't know trying on the suit would rip it. Ouch!" I stood there not wanting to go but I had no choice. I needed to go unless Ana would be depressed and sad. Nothing is worst then a sad girl. I sigh as I only wish that Selena was going. I think that would make this night a whole lot better if she went. My phone went off as I receive a text message. I dig inside my pocket and say that the text was from Ana. "Can't wait Tony! It's going to be a wonderful night ;) 3." Sighing I texted back, "Yep." I placed my phone back in my pocket as Dummy finished fixing my pant leg of the suit. "Ugh I hope this night ends quickly."
Selena's POV
"Omg you are going to look beautiful!" Tara said as the hair dresser finished my hair. "Thanks Tara. Makes me feel like I look ugly every day of my life." I said as I hand my credit card to the hair dresser. "Ugh you know what I mean! Just imagine if Tony will be there! He will be drooling all over you!" I roll my eyes and giggle as the hair dresser hands me back my credit card. We walk outside and headed to her car. "Now you just need make up and your dress and you are all ready for tonight!" Tara said as we walked to the parking building. I smiled just thinking that maybe Tony will be there tonight. I wanted to text and ask if he was going but I would think it would make me sound like I'm love crazy for him. Which I am...sort of….I don't know, but I know that I really like him a lot. We got in her car and started to make our way back to my house. I'm very excited for tonight.
Ana's POV
"Now don't forget it's going to go off at 11:30 so that means you needs to rush out and live right away just in case you might get caught." The Master said as I finished putting on my eyeliner. "What about Tony and Selena?" I asked as I turned to look at him. "If the plan works right then Selena should be with Tony for the rest of the night." I nod as I walked to our walk in closet to pick out a dress for tonight. "Who is going to be the one going off tonight?" I asked as I pull out a black silky dress from the closet. "He is a poor excuse for a project so we lied to him that we were giving him the next stage of it, but actually just killing him." I look back at my lover with a surprised look. "Don't worry baby. Everything will be alright." He said as he gives me a deep passionate kiss. "Come on. You need to hurry before you are late." He smiled and gave me a playful smack on the ass. This is going to be a very interesting night.
Tony's POV
"Tony! Tony! Over here! Smile Tony!" That was the only thing I could hear as I stepped out of my car. I smiled as I had my sunglasses on. I gave a few waves and a few weird comments. I gave a few more cheesy smiles and winked at the ladies that weren't able to get in, but wanted to see me. I made my way in the Nokia center at where the event was at this year. The Chinese theatre not far from here, so I might just go there if I get bored. I walked into the grand hallway and handed my keys to the valet and made my way through to the center of the party. I was greeted by many people from the company and other I have no clue who the hell they are. I was told I was here I should give the awards to the top 3 companies who donated to this charity. I agreed, so now I have to stay. I excused myself from the company's businessmen and their wives. I made my way to the bar, but then I was stopped by a brown haired woman. It was Ana. She was wearing a one shoulder black dress that had a cut on top to show her cleavage, the dress had a cut on the side that went up to her thigh and showed her leg greatly. The dress was finished off with a gold belt, and on the ends it had a leaf for detail. Her make-up was light for the first time since I saw her. She had gold eye shadow with a natural color for the lips and cheek. Her hair was up in a curly bun that had a few strands hanging out. She was wearing heels that are black and had red souls. "Tony!" She said with an excitement tone. She stepped forward and gave me a hug then a kiss on my right cheek. "Hey Ana." I said as I returned a friendly hug. "I'm so glad you are here! My boss wasn't able to make it tonight, but I'm just glad that you can be here." She said with a wink. I gave her a soft smile as we both walked to the bar. "Whiskey on the rocks for me and the lady will have…" I said as I looked to Ana for she can tell the bartender her drink. "And I'll have a martini extra dry and extra dirty." She said as she scooted closer to me. "How are you this evening?" I asked as I grabbed the small glass and drank some of the hard liquor. "I'm great! I never really been to a ball like this before and it's really exciting." How the hell does this woman have so much energy? "How come your boss was unable to make it tonight?" I asked as I shot down the rest of the liquor that was in my glass. "He had a last minute business meeting to take care of and it ran over the time it needed to end at. He sends his dear apologize to you though." She said as she takes a sip of her martini. I and Ana continue to talk for the next 5 minutes until someone caught my eye. I looked beyond Ana to see a female entering the ball. "Selena?" I said as I move away from Ana towards the entrance. I walked through pushing m way towards her. Finally I was feet's away from her as she finally sees me. She takes a few steps towards me as we were already face to face to each other. "Hello Tony." She said with a blush and a smile. "Hey Selena. Wow. You look beautiful." I said as I grabbed her hand a kissed it. Then pulled her in for a hug. She does look beautiful. She was wearing a white strapless dress that flowed down to cover her feet. The dress shows her great hourglass body as it hugged it tightly enough to see her curves. There was black trim on top of the dress that was pattern in somewhat of a lace that was also patterned on the waist part of her dress. The dress showed her collarbone very well as well with her shoulders. She was has wearing a pair of strappy high heels which made her taller to my chin. Her make-up was glamorous, but not heavy on her face. Her lips were red but not too bright. Her eye shadow was somewhat of a smoky eye of black and gold to bring out the color blue in her eyes. Her hair was down in a curly volume fashion. She had side bangs that swept to the side showing layers in the bangs. She was blushing as I pulled away from our hug. "I didn't know you were coming tonight." I said as I offered my arm to her as I lead her to the bar. "I didn't think you were coming so I didn't want to bother you and tell you about me going to your event." We stood by the bar as I buy her a drink. "I'll have a Coke." She said. "No alcohol?" "Not tonight. I'm accepting an award tonight for Forever 21 and I promised my boss I wouldn't have any alcohol in my system for when I accept the award." She said as she took a sip from her soda. "I understand." I gave her a smile as we talked more. This is going to be an awesome night.
Selena's POV
"Forever 21, for being our second highest donor, and for supporting this year towards the Tony Stark Charity." I walked up onto the stage and accepted the award from the Master of Ceremonies. After I grabbed the award I said thank you and walked back down to where Tony was waiting for me. "Now you can drink!" He said that followed a chuckle afterwards. "Here." He said as he took the plaque in my hands away from me. "Tony? What are you doing with that?" I said with a panic voice. "I'm going to have it be sent to your house right now for you don't have to worry about it for the rest of the night." He places the plaque into a server's hands and told him what to do and gave him $200 bucks to cover any cost that it might have token out. I shook my head and giggled. "You are something Mr. Stark." I said as I patted his shoulder. He turned to me and grabbed my hand. "You haven't seen all of what I can do." I blushed at his words, then again when he gave me a charming smile. "May I have this dance?" He said with his opened hand pointed towards the dance floor. "Ye-Yes." I felt my cheeks burn as he leads me through the crowded dance floor to the middle where it was open from people. He pulled me close to him as he placed his hand on my waist while his right hand held my left. I placed my right hand on his shoulder as I come closer to him. The band and singer started the next song which was Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Tony started to lead me softly to the music. His eyes where connected on mine as we moved around the dance floor. He spins me around and pulled me back softly and safely to his chest. "You are one talented person Ms. Acevedo." He said as we continue to dance. "Well it takes practice." I said with a smile. Tony smiled as he looked down at me. We held eye connection for the longest moment, and saw a spark in his hazel eyes. His hair was in his normal style, but still formal. He smiled down at me which made me blush. "So this is your first time at a ball?" He asked me as he spun me around and then caught me again close to his body. I felt my cheek burn more. "Yes, I never really had the status to come to one, but it's amazing." I said as I held on tightly to him. "Well I'm glad that you are having fun. Also because you made my night so much better." I let out a small gasp at his words then smiled widly. For some reason I leaned up towards him preparing to kiss him. I have no clue why, but I just wanted too. He must have known what I was doing since he did the same thing. We were inches away from each other and it was perfect. I started to feel butterflies in my stomach and my cheek burn bright red. All of a sudden a huge explosion happens outside. The ground was shaking and flames were seen from right next door. Everyone at the ball was running crazy as they see the flames come from the Chinese Theatre and the parking building that held the cars of most of the people here. I turned to face Tony, but I couldn't find him. "Tony! Tony!" I yelled his name when I wasn't able to find him. He wasn't behind me at all and I couldn't see him anywhere. I was all of a sudden I was knocked to the ground by the panicky crowd. My forehead hit the impact of the floor when I was pushed. I was dizzy and lost. I couldn't find anywhere to move. Suddenly I was picked up by someone. I look back and see Tony in his Iron Man suit. He picks me up holding me in his arms as he runs out to the balcony and jumps into flight. We take off as I let out a small scream and I hold on tightly to Tony. "Don't worry. I'm taking you to my place again for you can be safe from this." I look at him and gives him a nod. I look down and see endless flames coming from the theatre and parking building. I believe it looks like hell. "Well, so much for my car." I said with a sigh. I then turned my attention to the night sky that was my view from up here. The stars were bright and beautiful. I stared at them until I felt a gust of cold blast onto me. I cuddled closer to Tony's metal chest. The warmth of the metal suit brought me some comfort from the cold.
Ana's POV
I ran down the stairs of Nokia ballroom. There was nothing but mass mayhem and panic coming from every direction. The flames and smoke rose up high into the night sky. I looked up to the sky as I see Tony's Iron Man flying out of the disaster of the bomb. I smiled since I knew this is the plan that was going on. I walked over to the nearest ambulance that was on the scene. I looked as I see Happy being lifted into the EMT car. I smiled as I then quickly moved out of the way into the opened area. I took out my phone from the purse and quickly dialed the phone. "They are taking him to the hospital now and Selena is with Tony heading back to his house." I hung up the phone and made my way to the Lexus that was parked on the corner of the block. I got into the passenger side seat and closed the door behind me. "Your plan is going on track." I said as I looked over to the driver side seat. "It always does my dear." He said as gave me a kiss on my cheek and started the car. "Step 2 starts now."
Tony's POV
I carried Selena close to my chest since she started to get cold and me being overprotective about people I care about. I look down at her as she held her right hand around my neck and her left on my chest. She was looking up at the starlit sky. I chuckled softly as I look back out to see my house insight. "Jarvis, open up the garage." "Yes Sir." The door opens as I decrease my altitude and carefully fly down the curvy driveway. As we enter my garage I made a soft landing on the concrete ground. I landed with a hard metal clank. I placed Selena softly and safety down on the ground. I lifted my mask and gave her a smile. She smiled back as she looked around my garage. "It's been awhile since I was at your house." She said as she went and sat down on the nearby stool. "Yeah it has been awhile." I said with a soft chuckle as I exit out of the suit. I walked out towards her as she struggled to get her heels off. "Here, let me help you." I said as I kneeled down in front of her and started to undo her heels. "Thanks." She said with an embarrassed tone. She pushed her hair behind her ear as she looked down at me. I finished taking off her heels and placed them to the side. I stood up and looked down at her. "Are you ok?" I asked. "Yeah, just a little shaken up at what happened. I mean I wouldn't think this would happen so close to where we were." "You tend to get use to it if it happens all the time to you. Trust me you haven't seen what happens." She lets out a small laugh as she stood up. I smiled at her as I took her hand and lead her upstairs to the main floor. "Better than keeping you in the garage." I said with a joking tone. She laughed softly once again as she lifted her dress to walk up the stairs. We entered into my living room and turned to face her. "There are still the clothes that you left here in the guest room. I'm going to go and change this suit is starting to itch." She smiled and laughed. "Ok. I'm going to change too." She walked down the hallway leading to the guest room she stayed at last time. I gave a small grin and walked to my room. I passed the closed guest room door she was in and then reached my room at the end of the hall. I closed the door and immediately started to take the bow tie off. I threw it to the side along with my jacket and shirt. I put on my grey muscle tank top as I started to undo my pants. All of a sudden my phone rings. It was the LA hospital calling. "Strange." I said as I answered the call and pressed the phone to me ear. I hear a panicky background as the woman on the phone was trying to talk to me in a calm voice. I froze in place as I hear the news from the nurse. "Thank you. I'll be there shortly." I hung up the phone and took a deep breath as I tighten my hands into fist and slammed them on the nightstand. Happy was hurt badly and is in a coma from this attack. I didn't even know that he was in downtown LA tonight. I quickly took off my pants and place on a pair of dark jeans. I then put on a blue long sleeve shirt and put on a pair of black sneakers. I grabbed my wallet and phone and quickly opened the door. I ran down the hall as I then ran into Selena. I quickly stopped as I see her coming out of her room. "Selena, I'm sorry but I really need to get to the hospital. My friend Happy was injured in the explosion and I don't know how he is doing right now. I'm so sorry that I suddenly need to leave. I feel so bad I mean…" She places her hands on my shoulders. I look down at her as she was wearing a black tank top with a pair of gray pajama pants. Her makeup was off and her hair was up in a high ponytail with her side bangs hanging down. "Tony. Its fine I understand. Your friend needs you so go. I'll be here, don't worry." She gave me a bright white smile. I gave her a smile back as I grabbed both her hands and kissed them. I gave her a hug then quickly ran down the stairs to the garage. I jumped in the Audi and quickly turned it on as I press the gas and quickly made my way to the hospital. What a night.
Selena's POV
I watched out the wide glass window as I see Tony speed down the driveway and disappear into the dark midnight road. I smile softly as I turn around and looked at an empty Stark house. I started to walk around as it's my second time here alone. I walked down the hallway of bedrooms looking at the different artwork that was hanging on the walls. I then ended up at the end of the hallway that had huge double doors there. I was guessing that it was Tony's room since the doors were massive and elegant. The doors were hard wood that had cravings of the Archangel Michael holding down a demon that seemed to be fighting his hold from Michael. Even though he had a sword to his head. "I didn't know that Tony was a religious type." I said as I trace my fingers along the craving. I also at the same time held my silver cross that was around my neck. I slowly and carefully turn his doorknob and open his door slowly. I know it's wrong to enter his room but I want to know what it looks like. I open the door to see a small staircase heading up to a top floor. I carefully and slowly walk up his hard wood stairs. I reached the top step as I then step on white soft carpet. I smiled as the carpet was soft to the touch and very comfortable. I look up to see a gran huge master bedroom. The room was probably as big as my studio apartment. My jaw drop at this amazing view, and the huge horizontal window showed the night sky beautifully. To the left of the room were a huge bed and a nightstand on each side. To the right was a huge wood dresser and to the right of that was a walk-in closet. To the left of the bed was a full bathroom. I smiled and gasped on how amazing his room was. I stood in the middle of his room in awestruck not wanting to move and just take in the room as I will never have anything like this in my life. I walked into his closet as the light automatically came on. His closet was the size of a normal sized room. There was a white arm chase in the middle of the closet. I started to giggle and jump around as I could hold a party in this room. I walked out of the closet and went to stand in the middle of the room again. I looked out to the night sky as the stars were bright and the moon was full. I then walked over to his dresser top and looked at his collection of cologne and watches. Then something caught my eye. It was two identical bracelets. They were silver with a small red screen in the middle. I then put both of them on each wrist. Very nice, Tony has really good taste in accessories. I let out a small yawn and then sat that the edge of the bed. "Oh my goodness." I exclaimed of how comfortable his bed is. It felt like a cloud. I moved more into the middle of his bed as I laid down on my side with my arm as a pillow. I yawned once more and all I knew I felt sleep come to me. "I hope he doesn't mind if I fall asleep here."
Tony's POV
I was seated at the only chair that was in the hospital room that was behind the many machines that were connected to Happy. I was sitting there thinking about this ass who has been doing this to many innocent people around the world. Now this dick has hurt a close friend of mine. I stood up and told the nurse about Downtown Abby and that my bodyguards will not let anyone in without a badge. I then made my way out of the hospital I put on my glasses as I see a whole bunch of press outside. It was 5AM and they knew that I was probably going to be here. I walked out as a whole bunch of reporters and cameras came onto me. I just made it to my car when a report stopped me in my tracks. "Hey, Mr. Stark! When is somebody gonna kill this guy? Just sayin'." I turned to his guy as I'm heated with anger. I looked him straight in his eyes ignoring his camera phone. "Is that what you want? Here's a little Holiday greeting I've been wanting to send to the Mandarin. I just didn't know how to phrase it until now. My name is Tony Stark and I'm not afraid of you. I know you're a coward, so I've decided that you just died, pal. I'm gonna come get the body. There's no politics here; it's just good old-fashioned revenge. There's no Pentagon; it's just you and me. And on the off-chance you're a man, here's my home address: 10880, Malibu Port, 90265. I'll leave the door unlocked." I then grabbed his phone and threw it against a wall. "Bill me." I told him as I got into my car and sped quickly back to my house…I pulled into my house and parked the car in the garage. I ran up to the main level and gave orders to Jarvis about the visional crime scene to be in my workroom. I held towards my room and open the double doors and quickly ran up the staircase. I then stopped in my tracks as I see a figure in my bed. I walked over to see the sleeping face of Selena. I smile. She must have been looking around my room while I was gone. I softly caressed her cheek as I then walked over to my closet. I took off my blue long sleeve shirt with my muscle tank top. I then grabbed my grey and black Underarmor shirt that the sleeves only went up to my elbows. I then changed into a pair of blue jeans. After I put on my socks and shoes I grabbed an extra blanket I had in the closet. I walked over to Selena and put on the black soft blanket over her form. I then noticed the motion bracelets on her wrist. I kind of panic but then realized no harm will come to them. Never know something might happen and she has protection. "Jarvis, authorize usage to Selena when needed." "Of course Sir." I then ran down to the workshop to look at the crime scene.
Ana's POV
"Calm down!" I told the Master as he pace back and forth. "How the hell am I when he is making threats to us like that? This bastard is going to pay for it. We are already going to hurt him hard at his little home. He won't know what will hit him." He said as he gave orders to his men. "Babe, what are you going to do? We need Stark! You can't do anything to hurt our chance of making us not overheat anymore. Please!" I said as I went over and grabbed his arm as I was begging him to not do this. He then turned to me and slapped me hard against my left cheek. The blow of his arm made me fall to the floor. I then felt myself heat up with anger as my arms started to glow from the inside. I then look straight up at him with anger in my eyes. I bet they were orange since it's the color the others have too. "Babe I'm sorry it's just steps we need to take in order to succeed with our mission." He reached down his hand to help me up. I pushed it away as I got up and walked angrily out the door. I reached outside as I started to calm down. I looked around and then at the driveway. It was about 2 in the afternoon. I then ran to a car and got into it. I wanted to get Tony away from his house. In order to save him and me. We needed him badly to be able to make sure when we over it won't kill us. I turned the car on and quickly made my way down the driveway onto the highway to get to Tony's house. I hope I won't be too late.
Selena's POV
I woke up in a good feeling as I was in Tony's kitchen eating some cereal that was in the cabinet. Tony was in this workshop as Jarvis told me when I woke up in his bed. I had a blanket on my which I knew Tony put on me when I was sleeping. I smiled at the thought. I then changed into a pair of dark blue skinny jeans, a black short sleeve shirt that had a white spiral design on the side and a pair of black combat boots. I had my hair down as it still had curls in from last night's ball. As I was eating my cereal I had a little conversation with Jarvis and watched the news. The news was about Tony and his threat. So now there are a shit load of helicopters outside surrounding his house. "Well good afternoon lovely." I looked behind me and I saw Tony coming up from his workshop. "Good afternoon." I said with a mouth full of cereal. I felt ladylike. He chuckled as he made his way over to the fridge. "Flight plan was made Sir." "Thank you dear." "I liked your threat you made this morning." I said as I finished the last of my cereal. He chuckled then turned his face to sadness. I felt like I did something wrong. I stood up and worked over to him and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry for saying that I didn't mean to make you feel down." He looked at me straight in the eyes. "No no its fine it's just things go on in my life and it's just hard to shake sometimes. I want to make sure people I care about are safe and I failed that with Happy. I want revenge just to make sure that this ass will get what he deserves." I smile at him softly.
Tony's POV
I smiled at her softly then looked at her wrist to see the Mark 5 sensors. "I like your bracelets." I said to her as I hold her wrist. She blushes with embarrassment. "I'm sorry I liked the way they look I'll take them off." "No, No its fine I don't mind. They look nice on you." I said with a reassuring smile. She smiled back. All of a sudden the doorbell rings. I break our eye contact as I roll my eyes at the door. "Really we are still on dingdong! We are supposed to be on a total lockdown." "Sorry sir, but it's what you get for telling the media your home address." I sigh as I hear Selena giggle on the side. I look at her as she smiles and then she laughs again. I wink at her as I whip my arms forward and summon Mark 42. The metal titanium suit hits me hard as I then suddenly covered with the Iron Man suit. I then walk towards the front glass door as the person enters. "Don't move." I then lifted my mask and looked at the female in front of me. "Ana? You aren't the Mandarin. What are you doing here?" I said as she looks panicky. She was wearing an all-black shirt and skinny jeans. Her heels where even black and her brown curly hair was down and lose. "Tony I'm here for your help." She said as she came closer to me. I back up from her as I then exited the suit. "What do you mean?" I asked her with an confused tone. "Tony there is something that I desperately need your help with. I need you to come with me." She walked forward to me again as I back up more. "Tony?" I see Selena walking towards me as Ana stopped in her tracks. "Hello Selena." Ana said in an angry tone. "Hi." Selena said back. "Tony please I need your help this I can't do without you." I stared at her as I didn't know how to take this panic in her voice. I looked at Selena as she came to stand on my right. "Tony! Look!" She said as her point to the TV. There was a missile that was heading towards my house. We both turned to face the glass window. "Jarvis! Deploy Mark 5!" I yelled as the missile just then hit the base of my home. Then everything seemed to go in slow motion. I looked over as I see Ana fly back towards the front door. Then I see Selena. She was flying towards a wall so was I. I see as the bracelets start to glow knowing that Mark 5 was finding her. Then Mark 5 came attaching itself onto Selena right before she hit the hard wall. I then it myself. Time then started to speed back to normal I look around panicky as I see Ana was in the hallway by the glass front door. I started to breathe heavily as I then see the ceiling starting to crumble above me. I try to move but it was too late as it started to fall. I close my eyes as I get ready for the impact of the rumble. Then I see Mark 5 above me to stop the rocks to fall on me. The mask was lifted as Selena was safe inside the suit. "I got you." I grin softly as I then got up along did she. I moved my arms to call Mark 42 to me. As each part comes to me I look at Selena. "Jarvis get her out of here!" "Where too?" "It doesn't matter a flight plan somewhere now!" All of a sudden her mask went down and she was in flight out of the disaster. I then started to do what I can to stop the attacks. Everything went by so fast. I was shooting everything I got at the attackers while trying to run on my house that was crumbling into the ocean. The attackers were shooting missiles and guns it was hard to even look at where I was firing because of the house coming down. Next thing I knew I was in the water. I was trying hard to get out, but a wire caught me. After that it went black.
Ana's POV
I sat up with a shake of my head. I looked around as I see Tony's house destroyed. I looked around as I'm dizzy and have no clue what to do now. I then felt pain come from my right side of my body. I looked down and see that my right arm was missing. Then it started to regenerate back. The pain was intense and hard to bear sometimes. I stood up as my arm came back. I looked around and I didn't see Tony or Selena's body anywhere. "Shit!" I screamed as I knew that they were dead. I quickly get out of what is left of the house and into my car as I speed down the road to get away from the scene. I was angry and pissed as the Master did this when we needed Tony to help complete our plans. He will wish he wasn't born tonight. My clothes where ripped and covered in dust. My wound were all healed, but doesn't change the fact that the Master didn't listen to my pled. So much for listening to your girl.
