Dahhhhh, thats hawt. Memes aside, here's chapter 4. More of an A/N at the end.
Summary
After defeating the Space Pirates, the Reds and Blues find themselves stuck in Hargrove's office. With no other choice left, Epsilon deconstructs himself in order to save his friends. But what if, when Epsilon wakes up, he finds himself in a whole new world?
Previously, on Church Full of Roses
Seven figures appeared on Epsilon's shoulder. All were in different coloured armour.
"Very well. Welcome to Beacon… Leonard Church."
"Ah, Church... We will get the chance to meet at last." Said Temple.
Chapter 4
Over the last few months, Church had found a lot about both Teams RWBY and JNPR, the latter becoming his friends quickly. Thankfully, no one questioned where he came from. He also learned that some people sounded a lot like those he knew back in his universe. For example, Ozpin sounded like Agent Washington, Oobleck sounded like Caboose. Well, when Caboose was actually Caboose. Goodwitch sounded like Tex, or BitchPants McCrabby to her friends. Pyrrha was a special case though, as she both sounded and looked like a certain teal armoured freelancer he once knew.
Still, he kept thinking that something was off, like Ozpin was hiding something.
"Delta, can you do me a favour?" He asked
Delta appeared on Church's Shoulder. "Sure. What do you need?"
"I need you to have a poke round Ozpin's systems. See what you can find."
"Understood." Delta disappeared and Church sighed. This was going to be a long wait.
"Hey, Church." Jaune Arc came behind him. "What's wrong, man?"
"Oh just homesick I guess. I've come to realise that I actually miss the Reds and Blues." He stopped. "Huh, never thought I'd say that."
Jaune hesitated. "I'm not really the best person to talk about this, but I'm here if you need anything."
Church stuck his hand out, to which Jaune grasped it with his own. "To the end?"
"To the end." Jaune confirmed.
"Aww the bromance is real." Nora walked over to them, accompanied by Blake.
"Up yours, dickhead." Church said playfully. "Where's the rest of the team?"
"Oh they're playing Ruby's silly board game." Said Blake.
"Seriously? We have the Vytal Festival right around the corner, and they're playing board games?" Jaune asked.
"Oh don't sweat it. All we did was stand around and talk, and we still got shit done at Blood Gulch. Ah… good times." Church smiled under his helmet, before he quickly got rid of it. Wait. Why the fuck is this world making me miss the Reds and Blues? Some weird shit is definitely at play here.
"Church, you ok? You kinda spaced out for a bit there." Nora asked.
"Yeah-Yeah I'm fine." He replied.
Nora shrugged. "Well, if you're sure. Come on, let's go see Ruby."
-o0o0o0o-
"Nooooo!" Ruby cried from her table. "My fearless soldiers!"
"Eh, most of them were probably androids." Yang shrugged before a grin formed on her face as she began to collect the spoils of victory.
"This game looks… complicated to say the least." Said California.
"Well, only intelligent people can play this game and win." Yang declared.
"Hey! I'm intelligent!" Said an offended California. "Well… I hung around with Church, Tucker and the Reds for ages but I'm still intelligent."
"Pick up some cards and we'll see who is the best." Yang challenged.
"Oh it's on, bitch." California said.
"Here." Yang handed him a set. "You can have Weiss's cards, since she's half asleep."
"Ok then. But first you gotta explain this shit to me." California told her.
"Sure." She agreed. "You're playing as Vacuo which means that all Vacuo-based cards come with a bonus. You with me so far?"
"Yeah I think so." He nodded. "What do my cards do?"
Yang leant over to look through California's cards, until she found something of interest. "You've got Sandstorm, Desert Scavenge… Oh, oh! Resourceful Raider! See, now you can take Ruby's discarded Air Fleet, and put it in your hand!"
"Ok… What does that mean exactly?" He asked.
"You're just three moves away from conquering Remnant!" She said excitedly.
California stood up and took his helmet off, his face showing an expression of triumph.
"Yes! My name is Michael J Caboose. And I! Am! Winning!"
"Sorry, Cal. Trap card." Yang grinned as she held up a card, then scooped up her newfound rewards.
Instantly, California's face fell. He slumped back in his chair, defeated. "Son of a bitch! Also don't mind my mood swings. I sometimes feel myself slip into Caboose mode."
"Naw, it's chill." Yang said. She turned her head to see Blake, Jaune, Nora and Church walk over.
"Hey guys!" Yang waved at the four approaching.
"Sup." Church said. "Caboose, can I talk to you for a sec."
"I've told you to call me California." He grumbled. "But fine, yeah."
Church led California away from the two teams, into a nearby classroom.
"What the fuck's going on Church? You've been acting strange lately." California asked.
"I don't know." Church said. "I don't think we can trust Ozpin."
"Why?"
"He just doesn't sit right with me. I've had Delta go through the files in the school system. Just to be on the safe side."
-o0o0o0o-
"I've had Delta go through the files in the school system. Just to be on the safe side."
"Church, you what?! Are you insane? What happens if Opzin finds out? You ever think about that, huh?"
"Calm your shit. I'm in AI fragment remember? I know what the fuck I'm doing."
Ozpin put down his scroll, amused by the conversation he had just heard.
"Ah Church." He said aloud. "I'm one step ahead of you. Isn't that right, Delta?" Ozpin looked over to the contraption where he had Delta held. Temple called a… memory unit? If he remembered correctly. He must remember to thank Temple when he next sees him. 'Hopefully, if all goes well, our little plan will change the course of history as we know it.'
"One down… seven to go."
Updates will be slow, bear with me. But I should have time over the holidays which is in two weeks. So I'll have more time to write longer chapters. Hope you enjoyed, and as always, this is Lolagejosh02 signing off!
