Chapter 3

Hermione couldn't believe it, the father whom she always yearned to know, was looking down at her with the most sadistic smile on their face.

This is not possible… AXEL! This is not true is it?

Young cub, I'm afraid it is. That's why I couldn't tell you who it was. His wolf didn't want to be found, and as he is our father, I had to obey.

You couldn't at least give me a warning?

No I couldn't.

Hermione was about to say something else when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Looking up, she saw Fenrir smile down at her, though this time, the smile was a lot softer, there was no anger in it like there had been just a few seconds ago.

"Hermione…" he whispered into her ear. "You aren't going back to those brats, you understand that, don't you?"

"No!" she screamed, and tried to pull back, but the grip on her shoulder was too strong. "You aren't my father. My real dad is Justin Granger," she placed heavy emphasis on the word "Granger" just to aggravate Fenrir, and when she saw the expression on his face quickly change to that of anger, she knew that it was a stupid thing to do.

"Listen young cub! I am your father! I know you have been curious, your wolf tells me you have wanted to know who your father is!" Fenrir's grip tightened and Hermione started to gasp in pain. "Now you know, and you will listen!"

Axel, I swear... If I could, I would kill you right now!

I COULD DO NOTHING!

Axel snarled at Hermione before abruptly cutting off their connection.

"Take her to the room beside mine," Fenrir shouted to Pettigrew before throwing Hermione her way.

Hermione screamed into the empty bedroom in frustration and starting shouting obscenities to Axel.

He's my fucking Father? Please tell me YOU ARE JOKING AND I AM DREAMING!

You're not

I absolutely hate you Axel, I swear!

Like I said before, I COULD DO, NOTHING!

We have been together since Hogwarts, perhaps even before that if you include me not knowing about you, and now here comes our real father and BAM! You go and stick with him?

He is our father like you said! I HAD TO LISTEN TO HIS WOLF!

Couldn't you just break his order or something?

You humans are different from us wolves, we can't just 'break his order', that is of the highest insult to the parent wolf!

Hermione wanted to say more, but she knew that Axel would stand her ground and wasn't going to sway anytime soon, if she ever would. Axel had always been a stubborn one and Hermione never minded, she was similar, but times like this, she really did hate her wolf.

It was a restless night for Hermione, the thought of Fenrir being her father still heavy on her mind. Axel wasn't helping, she hadn't opened up their connection again since their fight and Hermione didn't know how long it would be until she did. They had always fought and closed off against each other, but never more than for a few hours. She just hoped that by morning, everything would be alright and she's wake up in her sleeping bag and all this would have just been a nightmare.

Waking up, she couldn't have been more wrong. She was still in the bedroom that she had been in yesterday and Axel still wouldn't open up their connection.

Its so empty… Without Axel I feel even more alone… I wonder how Harry and Ron are.

Harry and Ron argued as to what their next plan would be. Hermione had cast a spell on them that had teleported them to her muggle parent's house. Did she know though?

When Harry and Ron appeared at the house, it had all been silent, furniture everywhere, wallpapers torn, tables turned up, shattered glass everywhere. But through all this, there was not a single sign of her parents.

After they had explored the house and looked through Hermione's room for anything useful (just another bag with an undetectable extension charm which she seemed to have placed for them in emergencies).

"Hermione's just great!" Rom commented as he pulled out a pair of jeans and a new top from the bag.

"Yeah, but now we need to find her, and break the news about her parents…" Harry replied quietly, the thought of Hermione not being with them currently daunting upon him.

"Mate, I don't know if we should do that at the moment. For you to be able to fight You-Know-Who you need to have Hermione focused."

"Then what? Find out that they've been dead for Merlin knows how long before we tell her? I don't think that's right. It's downright wrong."

Ron shrugged at this. "Well, whatever you say mate. Now let's get out of here and try to look for her."

Hermione sat in the room that she'd been locked in and sighed. She couldn't do this. She had to get out of this place and help Harry and Ron. Merlin knows what trouble they've gotten themselves into without me… Axel was still giving her the silent treatment but she'd learnt to presently preoccupy herself by trying to find any faults within the magic, which was extremely difficult without her wand and lack of real knowledge with wandless magic.

'Knock, knock'

The sudden sound from the door shocked her before she allowed herself to speak.

"Come in," she said and watched as the door opened and as her luck would bring about, Greyback appeared, carrying a tray of food for her. "Oh… Just leave it and get out." Her voice turned bitter at the appearance of her 'father'- she could not accept it and wouldn't accept that he was really her father.

"Oh… Just leave it and get out"

At her daughter's tone of voice Fenrir couldn't help but laugh, soon enough she'd learn to respect him just like her wolf Axel already did and so he was going to fight back. No daughter of his would be spoilt!

"I don't think I will, I wan to stay and I will." He replied as he left the tray of food on a nearby table. "You are never going to see those two brats you call friends ever again! You're also going back to Hogwarts, with your own personal room. I am not going to let any Gryffindors near my pup."

"NO!" he watched as Hermione stood up and glared at him. "You are not controlling my life more than you already can!"

"You will listen pup! I am your father and your wolf has already understood this. You will soon too!" At this he grabbed the tray of food off the table and looked at her. "Maybe not eating for a while will help you understand this…" He stormed out with the food and slammed the door shut. He however forgot to lock the door properly with a spell…
