Shiemi's heart sank when she heard the voice calling her name out. Inuyasha and Kagome noticed how nervous she was not that Inuyasha really cared about Shiemi.

"Who are you people?!" The voice demanded, it was slightly far away from where Inuyasha, Kagome and Shiemi stood.

The voice was already familiar to Shiemi but not to Inuyasha and Kagome. But they make out the silhouette of a boy with messy jet black hair and piercing blue eyes that was somewhat taller than the trio. He slowly approached them with caution.

"Um... uh," Kagome wanted to say.

"I said who are you people and what are you doing with Shiemi?" The boy asked impatiently.

"Calm down, Rin. These are uh... my friends," Shiemi told him as she gestured towards Inuyasha and Kagome.

"Are you sure?" Rin folded his arms across his chest.

"This is Kagome and-" Shiemi pointed to Kagome and Inuyasha.

"Inuyasha," the white haired demon finished for her and took a quick whiff at Rin's scent.

"I'm Rin Okumura."

"Rin? Sorry, there's one Rin we know who's traveling with-" Kagome looked at Inuyasha who shot her an icy glare. "Um. Never mind."

"If you say so." Rin examined Inuyasha from head to toe and his attire. "You're not certainly from around here except for Kagome."

"And you must be from Kagome's time I assume," Inuyasha guessed and he sniffed Rin's scent into his nostrils. "You're another half demon?"

"How do you that?" Rin's tail went back. Normally, he kept tucked underneath his shirt but chose to keep exposed.

Kagome slapped her forehead with her left hand and groaned.

"Inuyasha, please," Kagome grumbled. She felt Inuyasha was gonna start an argument with him and she was ready to use the magic word.

Shiemi noticed how irritated Kagome was and tried calm her bittiness Inuyasha's starting behavior with Rin. She took a quickly glance at the beads that were around the silver haired Inuyasha's neck. Perhaps, it also concealed his demon nature similar to Rin's sword concealed his. Or it could be the sword around Inuyasha's waist.

"I ain't gonna fight him," Inuyasha answered calmly.

"A challenge or something?" Rin clenched his sword.

"Maybe." Inuyasha smirked.
