Chapter 4

It's been 2 whole days and still there was no clue or progress in the finding the woman of the video, which was now nicknamed 'mysterious woman', by John. The lack of results had gotten everyone frustrated and crushed their big hopes that they had that night. It was like they know the path but they had hit the dead end because she was nowhere to be found and Leon's room was filled with picture of women who were assassins, agents, mercenaries and even terrorists.

"Is this the girl", Claire asked, who was sitting beside him, showing in a random picture of a woman.
"No", replied Leon.
"How about this one?", asked Jill, who was sitting across the table in front of him.
"No", replied Leon with a frown.
"Look at this one, what you think?", Rebecca showed him another picture who was sitting by Jill's side.
"No", replied Leon feeling bored, irritated and all the same.
"She's definitely the one, has killer looks and is sexy too", John said holding a picture and everybody looked at the photograph curiously. Leon looked at it, it was definitely not her cause it was picture of old woman.
"Hey that's my grandma, where did you get it from", screamed Percy who was on the other side of John. He took the picture back.
"I didn't know your grandma is in this Business", John said trying to tease him.
"Shut up!", Percy yelled in annoyance
"Sorry Perce we just took everyone, I mean every picture that we found in your room", Jill apologized.

"Hey guys look what's on the paper", said Chris in a worried tone and throwing the news paper towards them. The headlines told them that Umbrella, WilPharma and Tricell were bought by some Research Pharmaceutical names Symbios, which held the major shares in the pharmaceutical industry.
"David called an emergency meeting", Barry told them. Once again they all headed to the conference room.
"I think you all have seen the headlines", asked David. Nobody said anything but the answer was a yes.
"Then forget about the woman, I think you should follow your agency's orders I think they must have something in their minds", said David in plain and calm tone but the disappointment was visible.

"I don't know David I think we should give it another try", said John at once.
"We've been trying for so long I think David is right John", said Leon barely keeping out anger from his voice and keeping it as neutral as possible because now that beautiful face had taken the shape of his nightmares. "I am tired of seeing photographs of them and its difficult to find her now, she could be anywhere."
"That's right what I am saying, I have an idea if you remember where she jumped off we could search that area maybe we can find her there, if we are lucky", replied John trying to the save the dying hope.
"And what if we are not lucky, do you have any idea how unlucky we are that we are in this mess", Leon burst out, now his anger was uncontrollable.
"And do you realize how lucky we are to survive this mess. C'mon Kid let's give it a try", John said calmly and it did made sense. He usually gave nicknames to everybody Kid was Leon's; Red head was Claire's and many more and was the joker of their group but sometimes he had some valuable insights.
"Okay", Leon sighed. He knew it was difficult for anybody to convince John when he's onto something.

"So John what do you have in mind, huh?", Jill asked him pretty neutral about it.
"Well I have been watching that tape over and over again and I figured out that the other two guys were some sort of air mercenaries, so if Carlos could help us we can make them question them for the whereabouts of that woman. And if that fails we can check the place from where she parted with Leon, What you say, huh?", said John explaining his whole plan.
"She jumped out of chopper in middle of somewhere, how are we suppose to find her if we do not know where exactly she went to?" asked Leon a little bit confused and annoyed at John's persistence.
"You jumped after her right?", John asked again.
"Yes", Leon replied with a nod.
"So we'll search the area near where we found you, it's not like you jump from a chopper in America and land in Africa is it", John said laying out his plan once again.

"So John do you have a plan?", asked David with a little bit astonishment in his voice.
"Hey I am not like Chris over there", said John, "and for this plan to work I need Leon, as said before Carlos's help and that Percy over there."
"Mee…?But why?", asked Percy a little bit terrified at the thought.
"Don't worry I'll treat you nice", said John smiling deviously.

And with that the meeting was adjourned everybody went back to work for their respective organizations except for Leon and Carlos. Leon had took a few days off thinking they'd be able to find the woman with a day or two, of course a slight miscalculations and hoping too much. Carlos after pulling some strings getting info about AM and fixing a meeting with their Chief got back to work. Percy worked out on taking out the coordinates of where they found Leon. John watched the video again and Leon started to doubt if he was looking at it to find clues or just to make out how the woman looked and once.

"Hey we're Carlos's buddies can we get the info which Carlos talked about", John said with a rather commanding tone in his voice to one of the men at the air mercenaries' base. It was pretty quick but within a few hours after Carlos's request the head of A.M. decided to meet them and they at once set out to see him.
"Yeah, did you bring the money with you", asked the man who was supposed to be A.M.'s Chief with a hoarse voice and a breath that can knock out an elephant ten feet away.
"Boy these men do not do anything without money", Leon said in an undertone John so that only he could hear what Leon said, remembering that nights incident.
"Yeah here", replied John to the man and tossed him a 500$ bill.
"So what do you wanna know?", asked the Chief picking up bill and inspecting it of its authenticity.
"We want to know about this woman who booked the Chopper near that Research Facility and what did she look like", asked Leon quickly before John can open his mouth.
"Okay let's see, a woman? Research Facility? Oh yes I remember she booked us alright she talked to me about it", said the Chief acting really poorly.
"And what did she tell you?", John asked barely keeping down excitement in his tone.
"Uh I can't remember you don't think I remember every conversation I had with this woman", said the Chief looking slyly, "besides we have so many customers." John tossed him another 500$ bill, "Oh now I remember she told us to be near that facility heavily armed and with every type of fire power we had and if she needed us she would call us and if she didn't need us even then she would pay our fees, later my guys told that she made them took out two Choppers and a Jeep so she was right about fire power", the Chief stopped as if waiting for something John took the hint and tossed him another 500$, "but she kind of overpaid us."
"And how does she contacted you for her back up?", asked Leon.
"She sent a communicator so that she could contact us and some money in advance if she doesn't need us", Chief told them.
"So can we have that communicator and one of bills she gave you? Also can you tell us about her looks", John asked the chief.

The Chief didn't say anything nor did he pay any attention. John again tossed him two 1000$ bill with a little frustration and while collecting those, the Chief gave him what he wanted.
"And what did she look like?", asked Leon.
"Oh never ever seen her face she contacted me on phone but my men said that she was beautiful young lady", replied Chief.
"Thanks that all we wanted to know", Leon said being little too courteous to the man who literally robbed them off their money.

"You don't have to say thanks to him all he did was, rip us out of our money", John said now looking at his empty wallet as they walked out the A.M.'s office.
"At least we got something", said Leon now holding the communicator and one of the bills from the girl, "she must be rich look at this its 500$ bill and back in the Chopper she tossed a Bundle of 1000$ bills at them and believe me it was thick. Percy can you find its pair", asked Leon handing over the communicator to Percy.

"I think I can, if it's in the range and if it's out of the range I am not sure; but if it's in the range it would be easy because this is the latest this only receives its pairs signal to enhance clarity of signal and to prevent any bugging. But one thing's sure she's definitely very rich this is the latest and expensive piece of equipment, even we do not use it", Percy told them looking curiously at the communicator.

"You two head towards HQ while I go to bank to get some info on this bill and recharge my wallet", John sighed holding the now empty wallet.
"Okay we'll meet you there", Leon said.

"It is out of the range man we're screwed", Percy told Leon with frustration clearly flashing in his face. Leon could totally understand his situation after all he had been working on it for past 1 hour. Leon's cell phone rang he picked it up without even looking at the number.

"Hello Kennedy here", Leon answered.
"Hey kid did you got any lead", asked John from the other side.
"No, Percy said it is out of range and it's difficult to track it. Did you find something", Leon replied and asked back.
"No, they say that she had it withdrawn from ATM and it would take time to check the records. I have left the bill with them as soon as they find it they will contact us. I am…"
He was cut off by Percy who screamed in excitement, "Leon I got it. Look I amplified the signal and I got her location, if she still has that communicator we can find her."
Leon looked at the screen and shot back to John, "John come here now we found her."
The door blasted open, "I am here, Let's go", said John now standing at the door.

In the Chopper…

"Are you sure this is it Percy, this looks like a forest to me", screamed John by pilot's side.
"Yes this is where the signal is coming from its steady though, I think she must have discarded it", screamed Percy over the sound of rotating blades.
"We have come this far let's give it a try guys", said Leon hoping to find the girl.
"Yeah let's get down, come on Geeky boy you're coming too", said John. They used the rope ladder to descend into the forest as there was no space for chopper to settle down.
"Where to Percy", asked Leon looking at him.
"That way", Percy pointed into a direction,"This is it this is where the signal is coming from", Percy stopped. They all looked around and began to search the area visually and moving here and there.

"Ahhh…" Leon and John heard a scream and ran towards it.
"Somebody let me out", they saw Percy come out under what seemed to be a Parachute. "I…I … saw this on the tree and when I pulled it something fell on me", Percy said still a little terrified.

Leon moved closer and rummaged in the parachute till he felt something hard he pulled away the parachute and when he saw what it was he said, "We found her! It's her!"
