Slade's: Chapter Four
Slade had stopped far away from the cops, Dark Wing stood from the back of the bike in moments. Throwing the contents of his stomach, Dark Wing leaned over a pile of rubbish. Running his hand through his hair, there was nothing that Dark Wing could do. Staying where he was, his apprentice throws his stomach on to the rubbish, probably making it smells nicer then it currently was.
"Pull yourself together," Slade ordered.
"This goes against everything which I stand for," Dark Wing whispered, barely able to say the short sentence.
"Batman taught you such stupid ideas; you will learn soon enough how the real world works.
Dark Wing's eyes blurred, patches of black spotted his vision, until finally his whole body gave out on him. Catching the much smaller boy, before he could hit the ground, Slade shook his head at the boy's weakness. Lifting the seat to find the compartment beneath, shoving the bag of jewels into the compartment. Slade swung on the bike with Dark Wing sitting on the bike in front of him. Using his arm to keep the boy where he was supposed to be, out cold Dark Wing seemed to mould to Slade's body. Making their way back to the hideout, Slade pulled into the warehouse before he stopped. Standing from the bike, Slade pulled the teenage boy up into his arms.
"Come on, my little bird," Slade said voice low as he carried Dark Wing to his room.
Sitting the boy down, Slade sat on the side of the bed, stroking Dark Wing's hair. Slade leaned down pecking the boy on the forehead, before Slade stood up to leave the room.
"Slade, I can't do this," Dark Wing mumbled, eyes remaining closed as he mumbled half asleep.
Walking away, Slade left the boy knowing that they would talk in the morning. Sitting at his cluttered desk, Slade stared at the many gadgets that where being upgraded, fixed or used for spare parts. Crossing his arms, Slade leaned his head on his arms, staring forwards at the large screens across the room. Before too long, Slade had drifted off to sleep. Waking the next morning, Slade change before he went looking to try and find Dark Wing. With no one up in the hideout, Slade looked into Dark Wing's room, surprised that he was curled up on the floor shaking.
"Dark Wing?" Slade questioned, stepping into the room.
"No, please don't," Dark Wing shouted in his sleep, rolling over on to his side.
"Dark Wing, Dark Wing!" Slade shouted, startling Dark Wing from his sleep.
Jerking into a sitting position, Dark Wing's cheeks went blood red when he looked up at Slade. Having to look away, Dark Wing stood to his feet turning his back to face Slade. Squeezing his eyes closed, Dark Wing hugged his stomach as he stood facing away from Slade.
"Leave me alone," Dark Wing whispered.
Slade walked round Dark Wing, standing in front of him Slade reached up to touch Dark Wing's mask. Pulling away Dark Wing touched the side of his mask, to make sure it was still there.
"Go away," Dark Wing whispered.
Slade grabbed Dark Wing's shoulders, not expecting the move Dark Wing lost his footing, falling down, ending up on the ground with Slade on top of him. Without thinking Dark Wing found his lips covered by Slade's. Slade wrapped his hand around the back of Dark Wing's neck pulling him close; kissing the boy like his life depended on it. Lying there in shock, Dark Wing couldn't do anything. His body was frozen, eyes wide and lips slightly parted.
