Ashley: So…are we going to kill the bitch now?
Sapphire: Yes, yes we are!
Ashley & Crystal: YAY! (pulls out swords and knives) OH TEA! COME HERE YOU LITTLE BITCH! (runs out to chase Tea)
Sapphire: Oh my crazy yami and hikari…SAVE ME A PIECE! I do not! NOT own Yu-Gi-Oh or Amnesia! I only own the characters me, Missy, Matthew, Ashley, and Crystal. Amme, Kathy, and Mindy belong to Wordsorcereress! Thank you my sister for letting me you put you and your OC in here! Now on to the story! (pulls hood over and raise my scythe) BITCH, IT'S TIME TO DIE! WHAHA!
Chapter 4 – Our Sisters are Monsters
The boys continued down hall after hall, checking room after room for anything that could help them. They rushed into one and hid in a closet when they heard one of the monsters walking around. Atem and Yami held Yugi closes as he hid his face away from the monster, once it was gone and at the far end of the hall, Yami closed the door quietly and the others got out of the closet.
"That was close one." Yugi said, crashing onto the bed in the room, the room they had ran into was another bed room, this one had a walk in closet, bed, desk, desk chair, nightstand, bookshelves and-
"Barrels! I don't trust them or the suits of armor!" Stephano yelled when Yugi laid his bag on the bed. The bag had opened up and the statue saw three barrels.
"And why is that? They can't even do anything!" Atem said, banging on one of them.
"I just do okay. You really can't trust them or the suits. I won't be surprised if that demon woman uses them to hid stuff and sent the suits after us as well!" Stephano yelled from the bag.
Yami grabbed the bag and shushed him, "We don't want ugly coming after us again, so be quiet," he whispered.
"I'm sure that it is gone Yami." Yugi said, and slipped his hand underneath the pillow. "Huh?" he said and pulled out a piece of paper and read it before gasping, "It's from Crystal!"
Atem and Yami rushed to his side and listen as he read the journal page out loud, "Today we arrived in England, I'm so nervousited! Nervous because we have a lot to do and I don't want to fail this course, excited because few reasons, one, we're going to be exploring ruins, two, we get to see our friends Amme, Kathy, Mindy and Ryou again, and thirdly, we get to be in England!
"This is just awesome, Sapphire and Ashley are just as excited, but something's up with Professor Edwards. I don't know what, she seems happy, but with an evil glint in her eye. I'm not sure what it is, I'm getting this weird feeling like I did when Malik pretended to be someone else during the Battle City Finals and when Marik was out controlling his body.
"I'm going to have to keep my eyes on her. I told Sapphire and Ashley, but they couldn't see it. Maybe I'm just seeing things again, but I know what I saw and I know what I'm going to do."
"Sounds like everything is fine, except for the professor. I wonder what that was about." Atem asked.
Yami shook his head and looked at the paper, but there was nothing else on it. "I don't know, but you have to trust Crystal's instincts, they're never wrong."
Yugi nodded and the three looked around the room quickly, finding more timber boxes and Laudanum, before carefully walking out of the room and down another hallway that lead to a chamber with a hallway to their left, stairs going down to the right, stairs going up further up and to the right of the room and a landing with a door that was boarded up, and a dark hallway was in front of them,
"Where should we go?" Yami asked.
Atem looked down the hallway to their left and saw that it had a giant crack in the roof, from the archway to the end of the hall where the roof had collapsed and block the way. "Well we can't go further down that way, but there is a door that hasn't been covered with rubble."
"And there is light coming out, I think I could stand in that for a while." Yugi said and start walking down that way, with Atem and Yami following closely. They all sighed in relief as the sunlight basked them in warmth.
Atem looked to the door again and nodded to it, "I'm going to check in there, you two say out here and enjoy the light. I'm getting a feeling we won't be seeing it for a while." Atem said as he went to the door.
Yugi gulped and stood closely next to Yami, who held him for his own reasons, mainly to calm his secret love. The three have been in love with each other for a long time, but haven't confessed their feelings yet. Yami sighed, he really wanted to but now wasn't the time, they had to find their sisters first and get out of this place before he could be romantic with both Atem and Yugi.
Atem pulled out the lantern and turned it on as he searched the dark room. He found a pot used for alchemy and a jar of weird red goo. "I wonder if we might need these?" he asked himself, he shrugged and put the things into his bag before searching more.
"Hello, what's this?" he asked, picking up a book. He looked to the cover and his eyes widen as saw the name on it. "This is Crystal's journal." He opened the book and saw that there was nothing in there. "Looks like all her entries are gone. I guess we're going to have to find them and figure what the hell is going on."
He put the book into his bag and left the room when he found nothing else. Atem smiled as he saw Yami holding Yugi close. "Hey," he said, closing the door behind him and turning off the lantern.
"Did you find anything?" Yugi asked looking to him and breaking the hug from Yami. Yami frowned but covered it up and gasped when Atem pulled out Crystal's book. "I found this, belonging to Crystal with pages missing, a jar of red goo, and an alchemy pot. I don't know if we'll need them, but it wouldn't hurt to take just in case," he explained before handing over the empty book to Yami.
Yami pulled out the note from Crystal and put it in the journal, noticing that it was the first page thanks to the rips. "This is definitely from Crystal; I just wish the rest was there as well."
"Well probably find the rest around here somewhere. Where do you guys want to go to next?" Yug asked as they walked back to the chamber. They all looked to the stairs in front of them, going down as a weird red glow seeped out the cracks of the old door. They looked at each other before Atem and Yami pulled out their swords and carefully the three walked towards the door and opened it.
They braced themselves for anything, but looked when nothing happened. Atem walked forward but stopped when the hallway started to shake and the growl came back. The three fell/crouched and waited for it to end.
"GGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"
When it passed and the castle finally settled, the boys opened their eye and gasped/groaned when they saw a red flesh-like net blocking their path. "Wh-wh-what is that?" Yugi asked.
Yami shrugged before getting close, "Looks like flesh." He swung his sword at it, trying to cut it away, but was shocked and tossed back into the door.
"Yami!" Atem and Yugi yelled as they rushed to him. They checked on him before Yugi help Yami drink a bottle of Laudanum.
"Thanks Aibou." Yami said once he got some strength back. "It looks like we can't get threw this way."
Atem sighed and looked around the tunnel before spotting a cassette tape. "Look what we got here, another tape," he said, picking up the tape. "Let's get back to that light spot, the darkness in here doesn't feel right."
The two on the floor nodded and they left the hall and rushed back to the light hallway. They took a seat and pulled out the tape player and slide in the tape before pressing the play button. The evil woman's voice came out laughing, "Well, well, well, you actually got this far. I'm surprised…not. Your sister's were able to reach me, but couldn't defeat me, how sad. I'm guessing you're wondering how to get further with that electric red flesh net blocking your way, hmm?
"Well listen up idiots cause I can tell one of you touched it and got a shocking of his life, my pets and the shadow are watching you three closely and we don't want you to die just yet. No that honor will fall onto someone very close to you all. Now to get rid of the blockade you must make a bomb to blow it out, what are the ingredients?
"…I'm not telling you. You'll just have to find the recipe somewhere in the chem. lab, just go down those dark stairs. I hope you have a lantern, it's really dark down there. Oh I hope my pets don't scare you too much, WAHAHAHAHA!"
Yugi shivered when the tape finished, "I don't like that woman, I don't like this place, and I certainly don't like her pets."
Yami nodded, "Neither do we Aibou. Neither do we."
Atem sighed and got up, "Come on guys, we have to move or one of her pets will be after us."
"Atem do you think that goo you got will help?" Yugi asked as Atem helped him up.
Atem shrugged, "Maybe. We should find that recipe first and make sure it is then come back." Atem took Yugi's hand, with Yami taking the other and started towards the dark stairwell. "If we run into one of the monster, Yugi and Yami run, I'll take care of it."
Yami shook his head, "We'll stick together Atem, I'm not losing my husband to anything and we both could take it together." Atem sighed, but nodded anyway, knowing better then argue with Yami. He was just as stubborn as him, probably the reason he married him.
Yugi sighed as well, "I wished I had something to help you guys out, I feel so useless." Both of his yamis squeezed his hand resurgently and shook their heads.
"Hikari, you are not useless. You're very smart, we will need you to help make this bomb. You know that I suck in chem." Atem said, with a sheepish smirk.
"Mahad would be so disappointed. You couldn't get making elixirs and potions then, and you can't get chem. lab, so sad." Yami said as they started to walk down the dark staircase. Atem glared at him and turned on the lantern as they came to a fork on the road, two sets of stairs to their right and left. "Now which way?"
"Let's go…left." Yugi said and rushed down only to be stopped by a door. He grabbed the door handle and pulled, but it was locked. "Then right is it." they took the right and enter a giant room.
They were on a wooden walkway that had stairs going down to a creepy area with a few doors. "Should we go down?" Yugi asked and started down the stairs, noticing the stairs creaking and cracking a bit. "Be careful guys."
"You too Ahku." Atem said as they walked down. As soon as they reached the bottom they saw three doors. "What's with all the different ways?"
"I guess to confuse us, how our sisters made it threw I would like to know." Yami said.
"They had weapons remember? Sapphire got a scythe when Ashley appeared, Ashley has swords which you guys are using, and Crystal somehow had chainsaws when she came to live with us, but also whips, swords, and her beloved magical bow with infinite arrows." Yugi said walking towards one of the door. He took a deep breath and opened the door, expecting something to come out, but met with a room. "It's clear."
Three walked in and saw bookshelves, boxes, barrels, and a barred window on the ground. "I don't see much in here." Yami said looking at the shelves.
"Please stop! Please, I'm sorry! I won't tell anyone, please! PLEASE LET ME GO!"
The three froze when they heard that and looked to the window where the voice was coming from. "That sound like Tea!" Yugi said, but was shushed by his Yamis. They got a bit closer to the window, making sure that whatever was going on didn't see them.
Down below they saw Tea strapped to a table, blood was dripping from cuts all over her naked body. "Please…please let me go?" she asked, sobbing every now and then.
"What's going on? How did Tea get here?" Yugi whispered to Yami, who was standing behind him. Yami shook his head and focus the three creatures walking out, from what he could tell they had hair like their sisters', but messy and tangled.
The middle one walked over and raised her scythe up and slashed the girl across her stomach. "No, ehehehehahaha, stay and have fun with us!" she said. The boys shivered and realized that it was Sapphire.
Tea confirmed them when she said, "Please Sapphire stop! I've never done anything to you or Ashley or Crystal! I'm your friend!"
"Be quiet or I'll ripe you mouth off!" Ashley yelled and they stepped out of the darkness. The boys gasped behind their hands, their sisters were turned into monsters. Their skin was dirty and scratched/scared/bruised, they ribs were showing, they looked they haven't eaten in years, they had hug black rings around their necks, chains and bandages wrapped around their bodies, their fingers were like daggers and were sharped, the most scary thing about them was their eyes. Their eyes where black, like they were gone, and black and red liquid feel from them, like they were crying.
"They're not your friends anymore." The boys watched as women with black hair, tan skin, and grey eyes came out of the shadows. "They're my obedient servants, and I rather have you dead then living. You know about this place and what you saw, I'm not taking my chances. Plus I don't want a whiny bitch like you ruining my new world."
"I don't understand, Professor Edwards. Why are you doing this?" Tea said, shaking when Sapphire lead over her with a creepy, scary, toothy smile.
Professor Edwards laughed darkly, "You idiot, I'm not Professor Diana Edwards. My name is Katherina Vannal of Cheshire, baroness of this castle. You, your friends, and those boys are in my way, I have to get rid of you while I still have a chance. You and those boys shouldn't have come here, but that matters not." She turned away, the boys hid and waited for her to talk some more.
Diana, or rather Katherina smirked, holding her hands behind her back, and said, "Kill her."
"Yes, my lady," said the three. Sapphire laughed darkly as Katherina left. "Time to die bitch, ahahhaheheheheha," Sapphire said, laughing like a mad man as she raised her scythe and delivered the final blow.
Yugi turned away just as she did, not wanting to see he sister commit murder. Atem and Yami watched as the three killed and tore Tea apart, Yami held Yugi close and let Yugi hide his face in his chest as the sounds of ripping flesh, the breaking of bones, pain-filled screams, and maniacal laughs filled the room.
Tea looked up to the window and saw Atem and Yami looking down at her, she mouthed a 'I'm sorry Atem' to them before Ashley grabbed her throat and crushed in her hands like it was a twig.
Yugi whimpered before rushing out of the room and threw up in an empty barrel, all this was too much for him. When his stomach was empty, he straightened up and leaned into the warmth of his yamis. Yami looked worriedly to Atem before picking Yugi up and rushed up the stairs and out of the room, leaving him behind. He was worried for their little one and didn't want him in the darkness to long.
He eventually got them to the light hall again and let his little one cry his eyes out. "What happened? What did that woman do to our sisters? They're monsters now! Why, why?!" Yugi yelled into Yami's chest as he rocked them both.
Yami shook his head and said, "I don't know, but we will make her pay and save them, no matter what. I promise Yugi." He looked up to the light and thought as his own silent tears fell, Sapphire, Ashley, Crystal…Please Ra, help them, help us, help us all.
Atem just watched as Yami carried away Yugi, him stuck in his world. He's sister had become a murder and killed one of his friends, but she wasn't herself. No, that wasn't Ashley, that couldn't have been Ashley. That woman, that Katherina was responsible for this, and he was going to make her pay for what she did to not only to his sister, but what she done to Sapphire and Crystal and trapping them in this place.
He sighed and pulled the lantern out, having to put it away when he was watching the massacre of his friend. The room lit up a bit and he walked to the door behind the staircase. "I'll let them rest for a bit. Better let Yami know." Atem said as he open the door.
"Yami, Yugi? Can you two hear me?" Atem asked threw the mindlink.
"A-A-Atem? W-W-W-Where are you?" Yugi asked weakly, still crying a bit.
"Atem are you okay? Come back here please, we need you now." Yami said.
Atem mentally shook his head as he checked the room, it had a table, shelves, barrels, boxes, and bags with spoiled food and ingredients. "I'll be back after I check the other two rooms. We need to find that bomb recipe."
"Atem it's not safe to be alone. You saw what happened to Tea! You could be next!" Yami yelled, causing Yugi to whimper again.
Atem sighed and said, "Yes, but Yugi is in no condition to go any further right now. Give him a bottle of Laudanum or Sanity Potion and I'll be back as soon as I can." He closed the mindlink as quickly as he could before either could protest and found a sheet of paper.
He smiled, "Found it, the bomb recipe!" His victory was short lived when he heard one of them monsters and had to quickly hide in a floor cupboard, leaving it cracked just enough to see the monster and hopefully not the other way around and turned off the lantern.
"Is that you my love? You came for me!"
He had to keep himself from gasping as Crystal came in dragging her left foot, her feet look like they been threw the seven pits of hell and back. Skin was ripped, toes missing, around her ankles the bone and join were exposed, but was still hold together by some muscle and tendons, and chains were wrapped around the ankles and legs..
"Where did you go? Come back!" Crystal said as she looked around the room, thankfully not looking in any of the cupboards.
"Oh, why did this happen? Come back!" she asked sadly as she dragged herself out of the room. When her moans and wails were gone, Atem carefully crawled out of the cupboard, thanking Ra that he was so short and lean, and closed the door.
He leaned against it and asked, "Why indeed Crystal, why indeed?" He sighed tiredly and sank to the floor, placing his head on his knees and wrapped his arms around his legs. He took several deep breaths, stood back up, and finished looking around the room, finding two pages from Crystal, oil, which he had to fill the lantern when it went out, and several pages with Egyptian text on them along with pictures of monsters. He slipped all the stuff back into his bag and quietly made his way to the last room.
He walked in, looking around he notice it was a lab of some sorts. He put his lantern down on a table with five Bunsen burners and stands to hold chemicals as they heated. He pulled out the bomb recipe and skimmed over it. "And warm each ingredient until it bubbles. Sounds easy enough, I wonder if that red stuff I found is one of the ingredients?."
He pulled out the jar and saw it was one of the chemicals he needed. "Good, that's one, only four more. I better get back to Yugi and Yami before they really start to worry, if not worry more."
He slipped the stuff back into his bag and rushed out of the room, noticing that Crystal wasn't there anymore. "Where did she go?" he asked, he looked to the room they were in earlier and gulped, "I'll worry about it later, I got to get back to the others."
He rushed up the stairs as quickly and quietly as he could and rushed back to his lover and hikari. He smiled slightly seeing Yugi safely wrapped in Yami's arms as Yami hummed to him. He cleared his throat and walked over to them just as the two looked to him.
"Atem!" Yugi said as he rushed up and hugged the former pharaoh. "Are you okay? What took you so long?"
Atem pulled him off and pulled him back to the light, making Yugi sit next to him. "I'm fine, though…"
"What Atem? What happened?" Yami asked heatedly, he was pissed and worried. Pissed because his husband didn't follow or come to join them; worried because he could have lost him again.
Atem sighed and said, "I was looking around when I heard one of the monsters, I hid in a cupboard as it walked in…it was Crystal. She didn't look good guys; her feet and ankles are messed up. She was talking in that echo-y voice we heard on the tape. (sighs) Thankfully she didn't find me, and I found the bomb recipe and a place we can make it."
"It's down there isn't it." Yugi said not as a question. Atem nodded while he groaned. "Did you find anything else?"
Atem pulled out the rest he found and said, "Yeah, I found papers that Crystal wrote and papers with Egyptian text on it and pictures of duel monsters."
"Are you sure?" Yami asked and looked at the papers, he recognized a few, "There are three here that look like Silver Fang, Magician of Black Chaos, and Black Eyes Red Dragon." (A/N: Yeah, I know there isn't a monster called that, but Red Eyes is Joey's monster and Ashley loves that one too, but can't have it, so I'm creating one for her that looks like Red Eyes, but with different colors. Red skin and black eyes and looks like Red Eyes' twin. Hope that helps.)
Yugi took the two pages in Atem's hand and read them out loud. "We're in England! We're staying at Amme's house since she's near the ruins. It's so nice to be with a good friend again, Ryou too. I know he misses his yami, Bakura, but without the documents to prove he's alive and real, Bakura can't get a passport and see him. I hope Kaiba finally helps the others, they need those papers and soon.
"Anyway, we've been here for two days now, just trying to get used to the time difference and jetlag. It really hit Ashley hard, been sleep for most of our stay. Amme doesn't mind, Kathy does though. Those two just love pulling pranks and trying to get as much blackmail goodness on people as they can. Mindy is out visiting family in London, she's supposed to be back soon, which makes both her lovers very happy.
"Amme's looking better now that we're here to help, Sapphire really happy that she and her can spend time together again. Matthew's here with us as well and enjoy a few magical duels with her or Kathy. Must be a magician/sorcerer thing, I don't know. Anyway, we'll be spending the rest of this week, it's Tuesday, and part of next week enjoying the country side and maybe a few runs into London. I want to check out the shopping and I know Ashley wants to get a new pair of boots since Missy, Matthew's husky puppy, gnawed on the last pair.
"I can't believe he brought her, but that's fine. She's doing okay, but when she's around Professor Edwards, she tenses and growls. That funny feeling comes back when it happens. Well I'll write tomorrow, going to a pub and see if I can stop Ashley from getting wasted with Kathy."
"Nothing sounds out of the ordinary." Yami said.
"But Missy acting up around Professor Edwards, or Katherina." Atem said, thinking. "If Diana Edwards is really this Kathreina Vannal, then has she planned this since the beginning?"
"I don't know, but we got to figure it out and save our sister and ourselves!" Yugi said standing. "Yami, did you find anything in those papers?"
Yami nodded, "It's a ritual spell for a demon or damned soul. It's actually not an Egyptian spell, someone just using it to hide the truth. Unfortunately, some of the pages are missing. I have pages one, five, six, and ten. I can't tell much, if we can find the rest of the pages then maybe we could figure out more. I'm getting a gut feeling that this is very important to this mystery."
"The famous Crystal instincts are now with in you." Atem said as he helped his husband up. "I think we should look back in that room over there and give it a good checking." Yugi and Yami nodded and they went in and checked again. They found not only another ingredient but a key as well before leaving the room.
As they head back to the chamber, Yami stopped, his eyes looked a bit glazed over. Atem and Yugi notice he wasn't following and rushed back to check on him. "I-I remember some more. I remember us coming here…."
Sapphire: Wahahahhahahaha! I'm stopping here~! Nah nah nah na!
Ashley: At least it's something. Kathy, I hope this chapter pleases you.
Crystal: Now we're the queens of evil cliffies! Wahahahah!
Ashley: Why are you still like that?
Crystal: (kicking the ground) The zipper is stuck.
Ashley: I'll help you my love.
Sapphire: Now I know I said I would update VPLL after I updated Talent Show, but as Ashley said a friend of ours wanted/wondered when this chapter would be updated. Here you go! The next story I'm going to do work on is my joint story with Wordsorcereress 'Sees through the Dark.' But I'm also been busy drawing lately. I've started to draw ponies now, if you want to see them go onto Deviantart and look for Beaded wolf 22, I also got wolf versions of me, Ashley, and Crystal.
