Hello everyone and welcome back to the fourth chapter of Miraculous: True Guardian. I'm writing this just after finishing chapter three so I don't know any of your reactions to that chapter yet but if I had to guess I would say that some of you think I'm crazy or are angry for how I left the ending. To be honest I'm not a fan of cliffhangers so I won't be doing them too often but its my opinion that anything more than one thousand two hundred and fifty words of storyline are too much to publish at one time. If you disagree tell me why and I might reconsider my philosophy. Well enough boring stuff from me let's get to what you really came her for, yeah?

Disclaimer: I do not own Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir.

Miraculous: True Guardian

Chapter 4

Mr. Nine looked down at the girl- no, at the warrior before him. She didn't deserve to die on her knees. She deserved a warrior's death. He reached out to take her by the arm and drag her to her feet but a cry from above caused him to look up. It also had the effect of making Ladybug open her own eyes and look up to see just who had caused the small feeling of hope to spring back into her chest.

True Guardian

When Adrien arrived on the scene of conflict, he saw a strange man dressed in samurai garb with eight swords floating behind him with an additional one being held in his hands. He watched in horror as the already exhausted Ladybug blocked the Akuma's strike against a civilian in the only way her tired body could. She used herself as a shield. His blood began to boil as an all encompassing rage began to fill his being. How dare this monster strike out and harm the kindest girl in all of Paris! Adrien clenched his fists and prepared to jump down and attack the Akuma when he felt his body freeze up in an act of betrayal.

'Lǎo shī, why have you betrayed me? If you stop me from going to her rescue, Ladybug will die and then where will all of Paris be but at mercy of Hawk Moth and his Akuma!'

'How quick you are to judge Xuéshēng! I am simply performing my role as your Lǎo shī and stopping you from going into battle in a blind rage. You will do no good to Ladybug or to Paris as a corpse, Xuéshēng! Once you are calm, I will release you. You must learn the difference between battle rage and mindless anger Xuéshēng.' Adrien took a few breaths and recited his mantra a few times in his head. He was released from his master's hold when he had calmed down enough but was once again frozen when he saw the samurai pull his sword back for a finishing strike.

'Lǎo shī please, I beg you to let me go! I will submit to whatever punishment you deem necessary and take upon myself whatever training you require of me. Ladybug needs me now or her head will roll!'

Wayzz mentally sighed at the bad humor his chosen had just shown. Was now really the time for it? The girl's life was at stake and he had made a joke about it. That would have to be discussed and taken care of at a later date, but for now, he supposed he was right. Ladybug did need his help and if he held him here any longer then she would die.

'Fine Xuéshēng, but remember your promise to me.'

'Yes Lǎo shī!' Adrien felt his body unfreeze and he immediately sprang into action. He jumped off of the roof he was standing on and angled his body down so that he was doing a nose dive at the ground right between the two people. Originally he had planned to use his shell buckler to block the samurai's strike, but he was able to come up with a better plan during his conversation with his Lǎo shī.

"You get away from her," he shouted as loud as he could. This had the desired effect as both parties looked up. Adrien knew that the next few seconds would be crucial so he moved on to step two of his plan.

"Giga Impact!" Both of his hands started to glow a forest green color. The samurai became weary of this new opponent and jumped back giving himself room to maneuver if something were to come up. Adrien flipped in mid air and landed on his feet. He placed a palm on the ground and shouted his next ability.

"Shell Domain!" A giant spectral turtle shell covered him and Ladybug. He breathed in a sigh of relief, and now all he had to do was heal Ladybug so that they could both get into the fight at one hundred percent. Thinking about it he had - at worst - thirty seconds before the Akuma broke his domain and he had only three more choices when it came to his abilities. Granted, he already knew what the next one was going to be but he had to get her to agree to it first.

"Greetings Ladybug, I am Guerrier Intemporel. I have come to help you fight the Akuma. However, it seems that you are heavily injured. May I use my power to heal your wounds?"

True Guardian

Ladybug watched as this stranger dressed in traditional Chinese warrior clothing fell from the sky and separated her from Mr. Nine. His timing was almost too perfect. Could she trust this warrior? His costume looked nothing like hers and she hadn't been told by Master Fu of any coming help. She was lost in her own thoughts so she didn't hear the question the new arrival posed until he asked it again.

"Ladybug, may I heal your wounds?" The stranger had gotten extremely close to her and she could now see his face which was once covered by the shadow of his hat. His eyes were green just like the rest of his suit but unlike his suit - which was a dark forest green - his eyes were a vibrant, electric green which seemed to hold wisdom beyond his years. Ladybug felt that she could get lost in those eyes forever. Within his eyes was serenity and peace. It was at this moment that she knew she could trust him.

"Yes please Mr…," It was at this moment that Ladybug realised that she had missed his name. "I'm sorry but it seems that I missed your name."

"That's quite alright Ladybug. My name is Guerrier Intemporel." Ladybug translated the name in her head, so this guy was calling himself Timeless Warrior huh. While it wasn't the strangest name she had ever heard, it certainly didn't match the theme his powers were showing. "Perhaps we should work on the name a little there, buddy."

"Har har. Everyone's a critic." Guerrier Intemporel set to work healing Ladybug's wounds. It was a slow process but he definitely counted it as a worthy use of one of his five allowances. Once he was finished, he watched with joy as Ladybug stood up. He could tell that not only had her exterior wounds been healed but her exhaustion had been removed as well.

Ladybug was surprised when she felt her energy return to her as her wounds were being healed. If she had to compare how she was feeling now to a similar time in the past, she would say that it was like waking up from an excellent dream and feeling as though you could take on the world. With her fatigue gone, she could once again focus on the matter at hand. "Let's see what we get this time." Guerrier Intemporel raised an eyebrow. Why was she talking to herself. Had she taken a blow to the head that his powers didn't heal? No, that was impossible. His powers were able to heal all wounds. He was so lost in thought that he almost missed it. Guerrier Intemporel smiled when he saw Ladybug raise her arm and shout the phrase that activated her magic ability. He understood now.

"Lucky Charm!"
