Chapter Three: Preparing for Battle
Earth, France
Danny walked towards Catherine's chambers with three Jaffa behind him. They were an intimidating sight with their black armor that caused deep thuds with every step. His was different from the others as it was covered by green stripes that went from the chest to the limbs and boots. The helmet had a white stripe that went from the forehead to the back and ended at the neck where it connected to the armor.
The Jaffa held their staff weapons in their hands and the pistols at their sides. They were not the only weapons that the Jaffa had on them but they were the most visible. The staff weapon for his Jaffa were mainly weapons for either causing destruction from a distance or knocking out people. The pistol was not a weapon other Jaffa used. The pistol his Jaffa were carrying around were not tool designed for killing. They were for stunning. The distance could be adjusted based on desire so no matter how far a target got away his soldiers were still able to take them down. The pistol was equipped to not only be able to target far distances but also so that it got range. If the setting was changed and shot into the sky then instead a blast of energy firing out it would be an orb of energy that would rain down on the desired area.
The armor was filled with energy blades of different lengths so that if they needed a weapon and could not rely on the pistol or staff weapon that they could have one. The suit also came with an electric shock function. It was voice activated because after going over several designs it seemed easier than having a knob or button on the suit.
Danny knocked on Catherine's door and waited for her to respond.
"Who is it?" Catherine asked.
"Answer her for me." Danny said looking at the Jaffa behind him.
"It is the King." A Jaffa answered.
"Come in." Catherine said. She may have tried to hide it but Danny could hear the sound of resignation in her voice. It was more than likely that he was going to be getting some good news.
"I am sorry to interrupt your morning." Danny said to Catherine who was combing her hair.
"Are you really?" Catherine asked him. It looked like she did not believe his politeness was sincere.
"Of course I am." Danny said.
"Are the guards necessary for a single lady?" Catherine asked.
"Not really but the Jaffa prefer knowing that I am protected." Danny answered.
"I assume you are hear to get an answer?" Catherine asked.
"Yes. So what is your answer?" Danny asked.
"You promise to give me back my son?" Catherine asked.
"I give you my word that as long as he gives up his crown Francis will be returned alive." Danny answered.
"Very well. I give up my crown to you." Catherine said as she passed her crown to him.
"Thank you Catherine." Danny said.
"What about the other nobles?" Catherine asked him.
"They are fine where they are." Danny answered. Excluding Narcisee, Catherine, and Mary and her friends the nobles of the castle were currently enjoying a stay in the castle dungeons. The Jaffa were bringing the food made by the kitchen staff to the prisoners as he knew that it would reduce the chnace of someone releasing them or being blackmailed.
"You do plan on releasing them eventually correct?" Catherine asked.
"Narcisse will while I am gone." Danny said.
"So Narcisse has agreed to join you?" Catherine asked.
"He could see that it was more than likely that I would win." Danny said.
"Where do you plan on going?" Catherine asked.
"My kingdom stretches very far. I cannot stay here all the time. I will visit from time to time to remind people who rules them and accept tributes but Narcisse will handle day to day affairs." Danny said.
"Do you really believe that he can be trusted?" Catherine asked.
"Maybe if not then I can just replace him." Danny said.
"What if the other nobles stand against you?" Catherine asked.
"Even if they can raise a large army the weapons that I carry are more than enough to crush them." Danny said. The Ha'taks were equipped with fifty staff cannons that could bring destruction to the planet from space. The death gliders could travel vast distances and deploy enough bombs to carve a canyon into the land. Given the current century no other army on the planet had vehicles designed for flight so even if he had less men his army had the advantage of being able to attack from the sky.
"My King I have news for you." One of the Jaffa said.
"Yes?" Danny asked.
"We would prefer to tell you in private company." The Jaffa said. The jaffa that guarded him were very suspicious of outsiders and very reluctant to leave him on his own. Nirrti had given them the order to guard him and so that is what they did.
"Very well." Danny said and taking that as their cue the Jaffa walked to the door and held it open for him.
"Before I leave I want to tell you something. You were right to fear the marriage between Francis and Marry." Danny said.
"What are you talking about?" Catherine asked him.
"The prophecy by Nostradamus. It would have come to pass soon if not for my intervention." Danny said.
"How could you know this?" Catherine asked.
I have my own ways of knowing the future. Just know that if the marriage between Mary and Francis were to last it would lead to the death of your son." Danny said.
"Would that death be due to your hand?" Catherine asked.
"Not originally but I cannot say the same now." Danny said.
"You gave your word." Catherine said.
"I will try to keep it but a major part of that relies on your son not rushing to his death by challenging me." Danny said as he walked through the door and left Catherine's room. Danny could hear the sobs of Catherine from behind the closed doors. It made a part of him feel guilty for what he was doing but with a deep breath Danny reset his pace and faced his Jaffa guard. He knew when he started out that his dreams would require others to suffer but he was not going to look back. It was just ahrder when he could actually see the harm he was doing to others.
"Well where are we headed?" Danny asked the Jaffa.
"To the ship my king." One Jaffa said.
"Very well." Danny said.

"I hate that." Danny said as he started stretching his arms.
"Your ancestors created the transporter rings my king." A Jaffa said. The ancestry of this body was known to all the Jaffa in his kingdom. It was his idea because it gave a reason for Nirrti to declare him as king. The goddess Nirtti that found a member of the ancestors still alive that had remained unknown to the rest of the galaxy. It was something out of fairy tales. It also improved Nirrti's abilities in the eyes of the Jaffa.
"That still does not mean that I can't hate it." Danny said.
"Very well my king." Another Jaffa said.
"So what is this news that you have for me?" Danny asked.
"It is all waiting for you in your quarters." A Jaffa said.
"You could just tell me what it is." Danny said.
"We cannot. We have orders to bring you to the room and were forbidden from reading the contents of the message." The Jaffa said.
Well given that response all he could was nod and walk to the the room that he was staying in. The only people that could give his guard orders besides himself was Nirrti and given that Nirrti was their goddess it was unlikely that he could get them to go against their orders. Well without a mass amount of violence being applied to them and even than it was not certain.
When Danny reached his room he walked to the table near the wall. He took the gloves lying on the edge and put them on and clenched his fingers to make sure the that they were tight. He clapped his hands and separated them and a huge screen appeared. He loved holographic technology. With a swipe of his hand one packet of information opened up. It was an update from the Phantom. It seemed that King Viserys I was starting to show signs of sickness and no Maester had a cure for him.
"Seems like the dance of dragons is close." Danny said feeling a bit of pressures. He had been waiting a while for King Viserys to fall ill and show symptoms. It had been on his orders that the man had become infected by one of Nirrti's concoctions. The people of Westeros ahd not advanced to the point of being able to cure what was affecting Viserys. The sickness had been designed to keep the man alive and unhealthy but made him unable to be killed by any other poison or stress. Goa'uld like to watch people suffer before killing them. Sometimes even death was not enough and so they brought them back to life so that they could kill them over and over. Many used the Sarcophagus but they had also developed other means to keep people alive but in pain.
Another piece of important information was the discovery that there was another planet full of life in the same solar system. Apparently it was similar to the Chinese culture that was on this planet. The planet was about the same level as this one and Westeros. The funny thing was that the probes sent to the planet had revealed that one of the continents on the planet were split into seven countries that have been at war with each other for centuries. Just reading that made him want a Targaryen on his side even more just for the irony of having that continent unified by people that ride dragons.
"Alright." Danny said and swiped his hand dragging the information about the planet to the to be conquered list. That information would be transferred to the Phantom and the number of probes sent to the planet would increase. They would study the planet, people, language. Basically all the basics that would be needed to understand the people and conquer them.
"Next." Danny said and saw that he had a message from Nirrti. That was probably why the Jaffa wanted him to check the messages he got. Their prime probably contacted them under Nirrti's orders because she did not talk to the Jaffa unless she was ordering someone dead or performing experiments on them.
It had only two words on it and they were very simple. Contact me.
Danny pressed a button on the hologram and another screen stretched from the one that he was facing.
"Hello beloved." Nirrti said as she faced him.
"Nice hair." Danny said as he faced the alien he was partnered with. She had cut her long brown hair short and he found it looked good on her.
"Thank you." Nirrti said. Goa'uld were not the type to be kind and mean it but they had been together for the past five years without trying to kill or undermine each other and for relationships with a Goa'uld that was truly rare.
"There is a reason for this call?" Danny asked.
"I wanted to tell you the good news as close as possible." Nirrti said.
"What is it?" Danny asked. There were lots of projects that they were working on together and many that they each worked on alone.
"The sky engine is complete." Nirrti said as she brushed a stray hair from her face.
"That is wonderful news." Danny said with wide eyes. That had been one of his first projects. It was meant to create engines that would let cities fly in the sky. The one that they were working on was based on the technology the Lanteans had used for Atlantis. The Lantean city was on the planet that he was currently using as the capital for his empire. He had grabbed it after the first year of having worked with Nirrti. She had spent days just traveling the city and researching their knowledge. He had expected such a reaction and so was not surprised when he eventually had to drag her out of the laboratory before she started messing with things that could be deadly.
"How are the domes going?" Danny asked. It was his plan to eventually move the people on these planets he captured closer to his empire. The planets would still be under his control but they would mainly be used for farming and resources. The Goa'uld may have been fine with having their planets spread out by distance and their only means of contact be either ship or Stargate. Danny would rather have his empire together in the same solar system and only move out when they were running out of the room and needed to expand.
His planets were large and based on the blueprints of his project could hold dozens of cities. The planets were about the size of Jupiter and while few of them could support life he had a solution for that too. In the beginning he had thought of terraforming the planet but to save time decided to create artificial oxygen and gravity for the city while allowing the light of the sun to be absorbed through the dome shield. The plan was to have it be absorbed through the shield and then filter down to a level healthy for them and released to the people below.
"They are doing well but it will be a long time before they are able to be useful." Nirrti said.
"How long?" Danny asked.
"About twenty rotations around the sun." Nirrti answered.
"This one or ours?" Danny asked because difference mattered. Their suns moved at a different rate. One day Danny was going to create a standard set of time but that time was not now.
"Ours." Nirrti said.
"That is just great." Danny said sarcastically. Converting the difference between systems and that meant by earth years it would be seven decades before the cities were properly ready. While they both had the time to wait for it to be accomplished did not mean that the wait would not be annoying.
"We do need more Jaffa." Nirrti said.
"You running out of people to experiment on?" Danny asked. It was a bet between them to see how long Nirrti could keep her group of Jaffa alive though her experiments. In the beginning she was given a thousand and was to make her experiments as successful and non-lethal as possible. Basically it was a challenge between the two.
"I have plenty left but if you plan on actually holding all these planets you will need ships and Jaffa to pilot those ships and I no longer have that many." Nirrti said as she reached to her hand. When Nirrti was kicked out of the system lords she lost her right to a gold Kara Kesh and instead was given a silver one. It still annoyed her whenever she looked at it but she refused to take it off as it would make her vulnerable.
"I know and I have a plan for that." Danny said.
"What are you going to do?" Nirrti asked.
"I am going to attack Zipcana." Danny said.
"His name is Zipacna." Nirrti corrected him. He was always getting that name wrong when Nirrti was teaching him on the Goa'uld hierarchy.
"Whatever. I have a plan." Danny said. He was going to make sure that he killed him and then take all his ships and his Jaffa. It was not personal he just never could stand the man's face. It just looked so tempting to punch.
"Be careful." Nirrti said. It was not like he expected her to complain much. After all the reason Nirrti was kicked out of the system lords was for taking the Jaffa of other Goa'uld.
"I will be." Danny said.
"Farewell beloved." Nirrti said.
"Farewell." Danny said.
"Alright now that I am leaving I have to deal with my current problems." Danny said before he split in two.
"You know the plan." Danny said before the two went their separate ways. The duplicate was going to England and capturing Elizabeth before going to destroy Rome for not giving in. He had given his warning and since they stood up against him they would have to pay the price. He on the other hand was going to deal with King Henry and his children.

"What do you want?" Francis asked.
"You already know what I want." Danny answered.
"I have already given you my answer I will not give up my claim to the throne." Francis said.
"I really wish you would stop being so stubborn." Danny said while using his thumb to crack his fingers.
"You have nothing that will make me give in." Francis said.
"If you are not worried about your life how about seeing your son be born." Danny said.
"My son?" Francis asked.
Sebastian turned towards Francis and Danny could see the jealousy in his eyes.
"Yes Lola is pregnant with your son." Danny said.
"You slept with Lola?" Sebastian said turning to face Francis. Danny could see the jealousy turn to anger. To think that before Mary and friends had arrived they were so close.
"Well how about? you give up your claim and get to live to see your son?" Danny asked Francis.
Author's Note: Well I have been thinking and realized that not everyone has seen Satrgate and so here are a list of terms for people who have not seen the show or checked the wikia.
Alterans: humanoid species of aliens that invented the stargate and ascended to being of pure power and energy. called the ancients, ancestors, etc..., inventors of most advanced technology in several galaxies.
Goa'uld: parasitic aliens that posses host and take control over them. span the galaxy and form the Goa'uld empire. council is the system lords and supreme system lord rules them all. current supreme system lord is Ra. came to Earth in the time of ancient Egypt and kidnapped mass amounts of humans and convinced them that they were gods/goddesses.
Jaffa: Humanoid aliens that have been experimented on and implanted with a Goa'uld symbiote to be faster, stronger, and live longer. They serve as the main fighting force with one single Jaffa serving as the Prime for the Goa'uld and that commands the other Jaffa.
Kara kesh: Hand device used by the Goa'uld. Gold for system lord and silver for underlord.
Lanteans: Descendants of the Alteran people that lived in the city of atlantis after leaving earth.
