Sitting in the break room inside the police department. Brie picked at her nails sighing heavily as she lent further back into the small metal chair. How could the people had found her that quick? Frowning, she bit the inside of her lip as she glanced up when the door opened. "Hey, your dad and Kelly are here." Jay told her.
Nodding her head softly, Brie took and walked towards Jay exiting the break room. Seeing her dad run to her, she wrapped her arms around his neck. Burying her face into the crook of his neck, she frowned feeling the tears form. "We're here honey." Benny told his daughter.
Her dad, Benny Severide had never really been there in her life. Till she hit her teenage years. It'd always been her and Kelly, and their mom. Her mom was an amazing woman. Single mother who did whatever she could to keep her kids safe, and fed. "Where's mom, Kels?" Brie questioned her brother pulling back from her dad, as Kelly hugged her tight.
"She's on her way squirt." Kelly told her.
Nodding she walked with the two back into the break room. Sighing she saw Jay sit a cup of coffee down in front of her. Giving him a light smile she played with the cup. Taking her finger around the rim she sighed looking up when Hank walked in. "So?" Brie asked.
"Someone forced entry into your apartment. Fingerprints were clear, according to the patrolmen that cleared it. Only thing taken was a picture of you and your brother." Hank told her.
"Does that put Kelly in danger?" Brie questioned.
"Not officially, but we'll keep a watch on him." Hank promised. "Brie, with them finding where you lived so fast. We're dealing with head poncho people here. I swear, I won't let anything happen. But I want you with Jay all times. Got it?" Hank asked.
"Yes, Hank." Brie replied softly.
"Good. Jay you don't leave her side for nothing." Hank warned.
"You got it, boss." Jay told him.
"Alright. I am going to meet with Sharon at the hospital. Let her know what's going on and everything. At work you should be safe. So Jay will be able to be here working. In any case, his brother works there. You feel threatened, get Will to call Jay." Hank warned.
"Ok." Brie nodded.
"Alright." Hank told them before exiting.
Sighing, Brie watched her dad and brother walk out. Getting up slowly she walked to Jay feeling his arm slowly go around her waist. Walking with him it wasn't long till they were exiting the department and going to his car. Sitting back she frowned a little as they headed for his apartment. In a matter of hours, her world had gotten turned upside down.
