Katniss's P.O.V.
Last night Peeta took me. Just me. It wasn't a double date with Madge and Gale like what we normally do. It was perfect in every way. He is such the gentleman. I would have never thought that in a million years I would be actually dating a football player. The stereotype of football players is semi misleading. Gale and Peeta aren't your normal football players. They aren't obnoxious, or full of themselves. They don't pick fights for fun.
Peeta's P.O.V.
I love her. I know it. I've known it since kindergarten when she sang for the first time. She stole my heart. To this day she steals it every time I see her. I know that we are currently only juniors in high school, but we have both been looking into college and I really want to ask about going to school together. I have already been offered several football scholarships, but I want to go to the school that Katniss is going to. I am kind of scared to ask her about going to college together, but I love her and I need to get over that fear. I think that when I pick her up for school I will ask her in the car.
I get to Katniss's house and like every day since we started dating I go into her house and say , "Hello" to her mom and I talk to her little sister Prim. Soon after Katniss is down and grabs a granola bar and a travel mug of coffee that was prepared by her mom then she grabs her backpack and heads toward the door. I wave goodbye to Prim and Ms. Everdeen and I leave out the door after her.
We get into my Jeep and I start to drive before I start to talk. "Katniss," I start. "Yes," she says looking up from her text form Madge. "What do you think about going to the same college," I ask. I seriously think that I held my breath the whole time that she texted Madge back before she answered. "Yea, I'd love to go to the same college," she says with a smile, "That would be perfect." Everything that I was scared about was for nothing.
