A/N: Ah, Gran Turismo, in times like this you make my day. –evillaugh mode-
Statistics and Research really don't mix especially if the one in question tackles about your mind creativity in writing and the other is purely made up of equations. So I chose equations instead of creative writing, which is an irony since my creativity level is on a level of average to below average while I typed this fic.
And I finished this chapter on my birthday. Sadly the same did not go for my other fic T.T

Chapter 4: Destined
Day 3: Evening
She believes in him, and that man betrayed her trust.
She is only supposed to be toured around Fuyuki City by a priest since she is a foreign Enforcer. Not everyone can achieve that kind of status, except for the ones that sponsor them, notably the Queen or the Nobles of the Magus Association. Sadly, many of the Enforcers are also unfamiliar with the wide world since they are always confined in their rooms. So, when they found out that Bazett Fraga McRemitz is about to participate in the war, they contacted the one who will be in charge of the Grail War to let Bazett know more about the country.
The priest and the current overseer of the war, Kotomine Kirei, obliged, and accompanied Bazett to her travels across Fuyuki City after she has summoned the Hound of Ulster. But the real intention of the priest is to remove her Command Seals and dispose of her body afterwards. That moment came as soon as Bazett reached her hotel. He beckoned her to give him her left hand to grant her another Command Seal to ensure the Enforcer's victory. Bazett, now trusting the priest, decided to do so, only to find out that her fate is now sealed by the time the priest told her that.
Lancer, now materializing in front of him, decided to attack the priest, only to find out that he has been subjugated by a Command Seal. Now having no purpose in life, as his Luck stat is E, he requested the priest to give her a proper burial at least. But even that request is denied, so he decided to cover her body with the softest blanket that he can find.
With no place to go, Lancer reluctantly accepted the priest's offer. But one day, he will have a chance to kill the priest.
Day 2: Evening
On the cool evening, two people are now standing on top of the building, beginning their assessment of the people that will participate in the war, and how many innocent bystanders will be affected by it. The cool winds blow in the middle of the night as they went through the city. Although it will be a tedious work, it is her job as the Landlord of Fuyuki to ensure the safety of the people while the war is taking place. And for that reason, she is only partially grateful that she has an Archer by her side instead of a Saber – class Servant. Even though his Clairvoyance can detect people from afar like he is an eagle, he can't help but make snide remarks here and there on how he is displeased by his summoning.
Meanwhile Archer saw two people that he knew from his life. A blonde man with ominous crimson eyes is also staring at him like he knew he is there. He felt that he is of the same class as him. Also, he felt a shiver on his spine by just looking at that man. But at this time, he is thankful that he does not take any action yet, otherwise it will be a premature battle that will cost the life of his Master even before the war will begin. The other one is a maiden with her hair colored like a plum in its ripeness. He also knew her from what he gathered of his jumbled memories, but he did not know yet if she is still the same girl that he met or not. It's for the best that his Master will not know that she will be a participant to this war, as she is too innocent enough to be involved in it.
Only one thing is missing in his puzzle. That boy will answer his questions, and that is if Rin will allow him to kill the boy. But for now, he must follow her orders, as her words became absolute in his very being. Such is the life of a Servant.
As he is contemplating all about these things, he saw a blue flash of a shadow near their range. Rin saw it too and is about to inform him when he motioned to Rin to keep quiet; otherwise, he might notice them. When that shadow disappeared, she now sighed in relief.
"That was really close." The lady in red said as she wiped her sweat off her forehead with her handkerchief, while Archer looked on. "Good thing I lowered my prana levels, otherwise the thing might notice us."
"It will be advisable to return home for the night and rest, Rin." Archer replied.
"Maybe you're right. I have school tomorrow." Rin agreed. "Let's go, Archer."
Day 1: Morning
Emiya Shirou now awakened to his place, and he felt that he fell asleep for so long. He is in a workshop, and he still held the tool that he used to repair the scooter that his guardian grandfather Raiga has given to his daughter.
"Senpai?" A young lady called to him. He brought himself up and rubbed his eyes. That calm voice really is effective in waking him up. He has to thank her for that one of these days.
"Good morning, Sakura." Shirou replied as he packed up the tools and placed them in a corner. Closing his garage, he now decided to take a long shower before he decided to cook for his teacher and his friend.
It is an understatement to say that Shirou cooked really well. One might say that he will be invited to parties if ever he has the time. For all the food that he makes in his personal sanctuary that he called "kitchen", comes out glorious the moment that he brings it out to the people to eat.
But for all of this, he just smacked his head at the sudden energy of his guardian, Fuji - nee, blowing up at inappropriate times. Shirou just wished that if he could turn back time, he wanted this conversation to not happen in the first place. But still, it happened. There is no turning back now, I guess. He mused
"Ah, Sakura, did you know that Shirou wanted to be a hero?" His guardian, Fujimura Taiga, gleefully gave out childhood trivias to his friend that sent him almost spitting out his drink. All the while the news is flashing about some sort of gas leaks happening in the city.
"Senpai wanted to be a hero?" The girl named Sakura tilted her head in confusion. It has been years since she met Shirou. That is where her eyes hold light once again after that unspeakable torture that she went to.
"Fuji – nee, that is in my paper a long time ago." Shirou scratched his head as he tries to cover the embarrassment that he feels. To which he now snapped out of his thoughts of coming up with a great reply as Taiga now swung her "katana" over his head, which is actually a metal holder for streamers.
"And it is still your dream up until now." His "big sister" finally took up the role of being a big sister to him. That situation is really an irony, to the point that he should write about her exploits on his annals to let her be remembered as the one who changed his course of history.
He now nursed his aching head at that. Good thing she never brought out the infamous Tora – Shinai that made her the Tiger of Fuyuki, or else Akasha knows what will happen to them. That shinai is never satisfied unless it draws warm blood.
"By the way, Fuji – nee, is it time already?" He now pointed at a clock that states that it is now almost eight in the morning. She promptly dropped her chopsticks at that point and began to run away as far as possible.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! IIIIIII'MMMMMM LAAAAAAATEEEE!" She now screamed at the top of her lungs as she ran for dear life, trying not to be late at the class that she will be in.
Day 1: Afternoon
People may take one look at Ryuudou Issei and say that he is playing for another team, but in reality, his senses are so keen at sensing someone out of place, especially Magus candidates, without him even realizing it. He just thought of it as someone not giving good feelings to him, especially around Tohsaka Rin, Matou Shinji, and the new student at their school, Matou Sakura.
"Emiya – san, for your own good, please stay away from Tohsaka – san." Issei nonchalantly replied while he is eating lunch. Shirou is now beginning his repair of the blender that Issei has tasked him to do.
"What's the problem with me meeting up with Tohsaka?" He asked this out of the blue just to humor his friend. He is not fond of him being all cautious, but for some reason he believes what he says. "Besides, that school idol is really untouchable in the first place, so even if you don't say it, I'd be better if I back off."
"You know that's not what I mean." Issei monotonously replied as he finished his lunch. "Let's just say that she feels…different from any of us in this school as of now." He placed the box in the bag, and closing his bag, he stood up in a manner befitting of a student council president. Shirou just scratched his head at the oddness of his friend, but he took a note of it, as he also sensed from the situation that something is not right.
"In any case, you may continue your repairs of that tomorrow." Issei replied as he lifted his bag. "That can wait. You still have your work at Copenhagen, remember?"
At that point, the boy's eyes went wide with horror as he remembered that, and sped up ahead of Issei.
"Oh, shoot!" Shirou now hoisted his bag up. "Neko – san will be very angry at me for being late!"
Issei just put a palm on his face for breaking one of the school rules that should never be broken in the first place no matter how late you are, but he decided to let him go this time since it is his part – time job. After all, no one should be late at a job or they will be fired. Without a job, how can they even provide for the expenses to be paid?
This is the one rule that should never be broken in school: Running in the corridors is not allowed.
Day 1: Evening
After cleaning up the shot glasses and receiving his pay, he is about to walk out of the Copenhagen bar when a lady began to knuckle – rub his head in a playful fashion out of a whim. The lady that is doing the knuckle rub is Otoko Hotaruzuka, claiming to have everyone call her "Neko – san" because her actual name sounds like a man's name. And for the record, she is not delighted by her real name one bit.
"So, with your pay, have you got anyone lately?" the lady winked at him playfully. Shirou has his face redden at that thought.
"Neko – san, how many times will I tell you that I have to 'get' anyone yet." Shirou replied in an annoyed manner, to which Neko – san sees it as an opportunity to push on his buttons a little more.
"You can have me then." She winked at him one more time, to which Shirou is not amused.
He sighed deeply. "You know that I only treat you as my older sister after Fuji – nee."
"Ah, of course." She laughed. "Unless you are looking for a brother – sister 'bond'." At this point, Shirou now decided to pop up his frankness, even though she's the one who offered him for a job at Copenhagen bar. After all, bluntness can be a really sweet wine, only if the drinker decided it to be one.
"Neko – san, for the final time, do you really think I look like the one who will be into that kind of relationship?" He now bluntly replied, to which Neko – san is surprised. But her laugh betrayed the surprise that she has.
"My, you are really growing into a really big boy now." She remarked, her small laugh still betraying her surprise. But then it came back with such a force that even she thought that it is out of her comprehension. "Anyway, take care of yourself."
"Yeah, sure." He now hung his bag on his back. "Take care, Neko – san."
"You too." She replied melancholically. She shook off her head when she remembered the first time that Shirou offered himself to take the job even though he is a child. And that is after his father had died, which according to her neighbors, is a really nice man. She never met him personally, but given the number of people who came to his grave, it is enough proof for her that this man has done so much, that even his son looks up to him as his inspiration to work even harder.
"I think you are getting along with that boy, huh, Otoko?" A man with a moustache is watching their entire conversation, and is amused by their exchanges as though they are siblings.
"That boy really is something, huh?" She now mused as she took out a bent cigarette from the folds of her apron. She fumbled her pocket for the lighter, then she lit up the cigarette with it. She now savors the taste of it, before she lets out a smoke that disperses with the winter wind.
"I can't help but worry about him."
Day 0: Evening
The archery dojo is pristinely clean at long last, and this is where he decided to go home. Fuji – nee will not be really happy if she finds out that he let the Tiger be hungry for too long. He made a mental note to keep of the time that he is in the school just to let Taiga eat all she wants.
But as he is leaving the school, he is amazed by something that should never happen in their school.
On one side, a man dressed in blue thrusts his spears too fast. On the other side, the red – clad man waves it off with his moves complementing each other like a dance. Each shatter that he hears is being replaced by clashing of weapons once again.
But for now, he must run for his life as soon as possible. Because this kind of war is not supposed to be seen by outsiders such as himself. He does not need to die needlessly just because he is seen at the scene of the crossfire.
Rin now faced an inevitable situation. She now faced a Servant that does not even care even if his identity is now unravelled. Her Servant watched all of these in an unamused expression, rushing only for help as he caught his Master.
"Show him what you got." Rin replied in a sinister manner as her Servant prepared his black and white blades by grasping air and making them appear.
"Sure thing, Master." He replied as he held the two blades. The black blade has red veins all over it, while the white blade is a pure color. Lancer smashed those blades in an instant, making the red clothed Servant back off from the impact.
"Ah, let me guess your class." Lancer smirked as he spun his spear really fast in his right hand. "By your weapons, I name you Saber." The spear now stopped and he now took his stance.
The red clad man just smirked, giving Lancer second thoughts. "Wait, that's not right. Who the heck are you?" Archer now materialized his weapons for the second time, still identical to the weapons that he has when it shattered under the force of the strike from Gae Bolg.
"Who knows, Hound of Ulster." The man snided with a grin plastered on his face, earning the rage of Lancer even more. "You have two guesses left."
Lancer now deduced on his class and he did not like it one bit as he charged. His attitude and demeanor in battle should have given it away, and yet he is fooled by the weapons that he holds in his hand. Scathach will have a year's worth of laughter if she found out about this. "What kind of Archer uses swords? Has your summoning really screwed up your mind?"
The red – clad man just danced and weaved his every spear attack shot at him as he replied. "No thanks to that lady over there." He blocks every spear strike with precision and grace by his weapons. The blades shatter at the impact of the tip of the spear, but it is then replaced by another copy as easy as getting paper from the copier machine.
Rin now heard what Archer had just said about her and she just deadpanned over that sentence. "I heard that very clearly, Archer."
Lancer is now getting frustrated by this Archer, as this one just makes the copies of famous weapons, but those are as effective as the original ones. He is getting nowhere with this kind of fight. Besides, the priest only sent him to that area for recon, yet he wished he has gotten a piece of this man before he leaves.
Lancer now saw a break as he saw a student that is still near the premises, stunned as he watched the inhuman fight. The rules state that there must be no witnesses, and Lancer now has his fortunate day to draw first blood. But as soon as the student snapped out of his senses, he began to run. He is no fan of playing cat and mice, so he decided to run after him and put him out in the cold for his own good. After all, the rules of the Holy Grail War states that if anyone has witnessed the scene, he or she must be silenced immediately.
Archer just wished that they could leave the boy at the very spot where he is lying right now. But the Tohsaka Heiress decided to heal that boy since she felt responsible for his misfortune. Some things do never change in this world, I guess. Archer mused as he disapprovingly watched Rin heal that boy.
"At the very least, I have done my responsibility as the Second Landlord." Rin mused as she finished the ritual for healing. Archer watched all of these in a not – so – amused expression. This event will be the catalyst for setting chain events in motion, leading to his status right now. If that boy is still the same idiotic person who wants to be a hero, he must dispose of him by himself to end his own contract. Not with Rin, of course, but with the other entity watching over the world like it was her television.
Alaya.
It's not proper to say that Alaya is a she, since the existence encompasses every living being and can change the form as easily as changing clothes. If the existence wants to be a "she", that existence can do so at a snap of the fingers.
"Let's go, Archer." Rin nonchalantly mumbled as she left the body. What she didn't know is that she forgot the gem that she used to heal Shirou. That gem is now acting on its own and began to drain itself of the remaining prana to supply the lifeless body of energy.
Shirou is now confused, as he saw Lancer slowly approaching towards him. He grasped a hard rod that is near to him, and is relieved when he found out about the nature of that rod.
It is the same rod that his adoptive sister Fuji – nee whacked him over the head with for stating his dreams to be a hero. He now strengthened the rod with reinforcement by chanting these lines first:
Trace, On.
He now began to analyze the structure of the rod, and then he Reinforced the weak parts of the rod afterwards. When he felt that the hardness of the rod can now equate to a titanium one, he now swung the rod as a test for two times before he decided to hit it on Lancer. But he swatted that weapon away like a pesky fly, and kicked the boy senseless outside of the house.
Shirou decided to run to his workshop. In his intense fear he did not notice that the circle is now glowing with a bright blue color. Lancer, now preparing his spear for another thrust that brings a curse to the one who is held victim by it, spun his spear like a disk before he deals the final blow.
"Nice meeting you kid." Lancer quipped. He now pointed his spear at the boy's left hand. "And it seems that you now have your Command Seals, which confirms that you are the seventh Master." Shirou looked at his left hand, and he saw an intricate design etched on his hand like a fleur – de – lis.
"You are really brave. But this will end now." As he is about to thrust Gae Bolg in Shirou's heart, a flash of light appeared, throwing Lancer backwards and over his head. He is now disarmed of the spear due to that bright flash of light.
Shirou is now astounded at what he saw. A noble lady in a coat of armor has now appeared in front of him. The cool and calming winds that blew are produced by the one that she holds right now. He can't see that one, but what he knows is that she exudes an aura of royalty.
Most of all, this is the first time that he saw a woman so beautiful that even he cannot put it in words on how beautiful she is. The lady now turned towards the boy, and she stated those words.
"I am Servant Saber, the Knight of the Sword, arising to your summons. I ask of you. Are you my Master?"
A/N: Terms:
Gae Bolg – legendary spear of Cu Chullain, the one that reverses the strike's logic. Turns the sentence "the spear has struck, so the heart is pierced" into "The heart is pierced, so the spear may have struck"
Kanshou and Bakuya – Archer's black sword with red veins and a pure white blade respectively.
Trace, on. – an aria used by Shirou to create a path for the prana to flow through. Stating this aria may lead the one to his death. Diving into details later.
A/N: Too…many…things…going on…right now. –plomps head in a desk.-
I think this is it for today, I hope that I didn't disappoint you with this chapter. I will edit this just like the one in Fate/Zero Hyakki Yakou Route if I have the time. I feel that there are missing parts in there, partly due to the fact that this one is rushed, and I must make adjustments if my mind cooks up anything missing from this chapter.
Having a Master's course does not help my mind much. T.T
