Dante's POV
Bullhead - Skies
2:00 AM
After catching up to Ozpin and Glynda, Dante followed them to a Bullhead heading towards Beacon, hoping Ozpin could lend him some money.
"So...Beacon Academy huh?" Dante said. "Any students there yet?"
"Since the semester hasn't started yet, every single student is back home." Glynda responded. "Though the next semester starts in two days."
"Good. Less time for me to interact with others." Dante said.
"So, why do you need Lien again?" Glynda asked.
"I'm going to rent some space in Vale. Probably open my store there." Dante said. "It may not be as successful, but I could probably manage."
"Your store?" Glynda asked.
"You know...my demon hunting store, Devil May Cry." Dante said.
"You're going to hunt Grimm for money?" Glynda asked.
"Yeah. Why?" Dante asked.
"Well…" Glynda said, "Considering most Huntsmen kill…"
"Yeah. Yeah. Huntsmen don't expect money in return." Dante said. "Ozpin already told me about this. I'll just see how far I could manage."
"I see…" Glynda said. "How much will you need?"
"That's what I want to know." Dante said. "But I guess we could just talk about it once we arrive there."
"Although...we're already here." Ozpin said while looking forward.
"Hm?" Dante muttered while raising one brow.
Looking through the Bullhead windows, Dante just saw a gigantic academy in front of him. Just impressed at the architecture, Dante can't help but whistle at how impressive it was.
Beacon Academy - Pathway
2:04 AM
Walking alongside the pathway, Dante continued following Ozpin and Glynda. While still following them, Dante can't help but be a bit impressed at the architecture of the academy.
"Man...this is one hell of an academy." Dante said while looking around.
"I see that you like the architecture of Beacon so far." Ozpin said. "So...that's kind of good to hear."
"So, where exactly are we going?" Dante asked.
"We'll be heading up that tower. Beacon Tower to be exact." Ozpin said while looking at the gigantic tower that was in the back of the academy. "That's where we'll give you the Lien."
"And maybe while you do that, I think I need to talk to you about even more things." Dante said.
"You haven't explained everything yet?" Glynda asked.
"No, it's just a basic question." Dante said.
"If it is, then I think it's best we discuss this later." Ozpin said.
"Sounds about right." Dante said.
Walking for even more time, Dante and the others eventually reached Beacon Tower, where they finally entered the elevator and reached the top.
Beacon Academy - Ozpin's Office
2:10 AM
After riding the elevator to the top, Dante and the others finally reached Ozpin's office. Walking out of the elevator, Ozpin started walking towards his chair and proceeded to sit on it. Once Ozpin has sat down on his chair, Dante started negotiated the amount of Lien he needed.
"So, how much is the average cost of vacant space?" Dante asked.
"Well that depends on how much square feet you'll be renting." Ozpin responded. "But for the average office space, you'll need about 5,000 Lien a month."
"5,000? That's doesn't seem that much." Dante said.
"So...how about 25,000 as a start?" Ozpin asked.
"That could do." Dante responded.
"Very well." Ozpin said. Saying this, he turned towards Glynda. "Glynda, mind getting the extra Lien back at the teacher's lounge safety deposit?"
"Of course." Glynda said while heading to the elevator. Now in the elevator, Glynda just left Ozpin and Dante by themselves.
"Though wouldn't it have been better if you kept the deposit box up here? You know...to keep it safe and more accessible?" Dante asked.
"Trust me, you're not alone on that thought." Ozpin said. "Now with that Lien problem solved, you said that you had questions right?"
"I did." Dante said. "And that is what the hell is up with that Ironwood dude?!"
"James…" Ozpin said. "In all honesty, I didn't know what he was thinking. He doesn't always act like this."
"Well good. Because was it really a bright idea to release his whole army just to get me?" Dante asked.
Before Ozpin could answer Dante's question, he turned towards his window, only to see one gigantic Bullhead land in front of Beacon Academy. This was odd considering that it's a bit too late for visitors to come to Beacon. But before Dante could question who it was, an unidentified device on Ozpin's table started ringing for a moment.
"...Is that a cellphone?" Dante asked.
"It's a Scroll." Ozpin said. "It's a device in Remnant that allows us to communicate with others."
"So it's a cellphone." Dante said.
"You could kind of put it like that." Ozpin said. "Even though I have no idea what that is."
"Oh well…" Dante shrugged. "Anyways, who's calling?"
Looking at his Scroll, Ozpin saw who was calling him. Just looking at who's calling caused Ozpin to raise his brows in shock.
"Dante, you know when you said you wanted to know why Ironwood released his army towards you?" Ozpin asked.
"Yeah. Why?" Dante asked.
"Well now's your chance to ask him." Ozpin said.
Before Dante could realize what he meant, the elevator behind them started ringing. Once the elevator started ringing, the doors opened, revealing none other than General Ironwood himself. Of course, this pissed off Dante a bit.
"Ozpin." Ironwood said while walking towards him. "It's nice to…"
"What the hell are you doing here?" Dante said towards Ironwood.
"Dante." Ironwood said while glaring at him.
"So James, what are you doing here?" Ozpin asked while getting out of his chair.
"It's about Dante." Ironwood said.
"What are you going to do? Arrest me again?" Dante asked.
"No." Ironwood said. "I'm not here to arrest you. I'm here to apologize."
"Oh? Now you're apologizing?" Dante asked.
"I'm sorry. But only now did I realize I made a grave mistake." Ironwood said.
"Hell yeah you made a mistake. You ordered your whole army to get me." Dante said. "Not really the brightest decision as a general."
"Yes. While that is technically my fault, that was never my intent in the first place." Ironwood said.
"Mind explaining that?" Dante said.
Hearing this, Ironwood just sighed in annoyance.
"Fine." Ironwood said. "First of all, I never even heard of you until one of my soldiers mentioned you. They said you committed all of these crimes and said that I had to respond. Of course, I decided to refuse that offer since I thought they were exaggerating. But after I saw some pictures, I decided to intervene with, not my whole army, but just a few squadrons. So if there's anyone to blame, you should blame my incompetent soldiers."
"Then explain why you pointed your gun towards my face?" Dante asked.
"Well, with the crimes I assumed you committed, I thought you were a dangerous criminal like Roman Torchwick." Ironwood said. "So I had to act cautious and made sure you didn't do anything stupid."
"Pfft...that all you need to say?" Dante asked. "All of this was because of a few soldiers of yours?"
"That's what I'm trying to clarify." Ironwood said. "So all I just have to say is...I apologize. I take full responsibility."
"And what'll happen to these 'soldiers?'" Dante asked.
"Those soldiers will be rightfully punished with the right consequences." Ironwood responded.
"Well, I think you have your answer Dante." Ozpin said. "So are you convinced?"
"Do you accept my apology?" Ironwood said.
Sighing for a bit, Dante tried thinking of the pros and cons of the two alternate choices. He could either forgive Ironwood, or just downright reject his apology. So with a sigh, Dante decided to act.
"...Sure. Why not?" Dante responded while shrugging a bit.
"Dante, I know that...wait what?" Ironwood asked before realizing what Dante said..
"I forgive you. Simple as that." Dante responded.
"But...why'd you forgive me so easily?" Ironwood asked.
"Look, I get it. You just wanted to do your job, and that's what you did." Dante said. "If you didn't know already, I have way too many things to focus on. And the last thing I want to do is add 'hide from the military' to the list."
"O...kay…" Ironwood said.
"Besides, you sounded pretty honest with your apology. So I think that's more than enough." Dante said.
"Well, I didn't expect you to be so forgiving after everything you had to experience in the last few hours." Ironwood said.
"Trust me, hiding from the military was probably the more tolerable experience that I had in the last few hours." Dante said. Once Dante said this, he turned towards the elevator and started heading out. "And I think the Wizard of Oz here will explain that to you."
"Where are you going?" Ironwood asked.
"Just going to grab the Lien Ozpin is offering and I'll be on my way." Dante said while waiting for the elevator to open.
Just as Dante arrived at the elevator front, the doors opened, showing Glynda with an envelope filled with Lien.
"Ozpin...I got the Lien." Glynda said while exiting the elevator.
"And I'll be taking that." Dante said while taking the envelope out of her hands. "Thanks by the way. I'll try to visit you guys again sometime."
Before Glynda could turn towards Dante, the elevator closed, leaving only her, Ozpin, and Ironwood in the room.
Ozpin's POV
Beacon Academy - Ozpin's Office
2:18 AM
"Um...okay?" Glynda said while turning towards the elevator. Turning back to Ozpin, Glynda just now realized that Ironwood was also there. "James…"
"Glynda." Ironwood said. "Look...I could explain…"
"Explain what? How you almost caused an uproar with your unnecessary manhunt on Dante?" Glynda said.
"Glynda, I've already explained this to Dante, so I'll explain it again. And like Dante, I hope you could understand." Ironwood said. "That manhunt wasn't my order, I just approved it. I had no intent on doing this in the first place. Besides, with how my soldiers described Dante, they made him look as dangerous as Roman Torchwick. So I had to respond accordingly."
"By releasing your whole army?" Glynda asked.
"It wasn't my whole army. It was only a few squadrons." Ironwood said. "If it truly was my whole army, you would see Paladins and more Bullheads in Vale."
Just looking at Glynda, Ozpin knew that she wasn't going to forgive Ironwood that easily.
"Come on Glynda, if Dante can have it in him to forgive me, at least you could too." Ironwood said.
"It's not about Dante. It's the fact that you were willing to send numerous soldiers in Vale while one of your soldiers kept saying it was his whole army." Glynda said. "Do you have any idea how much peril that could've caused?"
"I know. If there was any peril, then it would've attracted Grimm into the city." Ironwood said. "So I can't blame you there."
"So the next time you choose to pursue someone, make sure you don't do something this stupid." Glynda said.
"And he won't. Won't you James?" Ozpin interrupted.
"I just had to stop all of that…" Ironwood said. "You know that Oz…"
"I know. But you did back there was risky. So it's best we don't repeat that same mistake." Ozpin said.
"I understand." Ironwood said. "Though I just wanted to ask...what did Dante mean by 'more tolerable experience'? What else did he experience."
"James. Before I tell you, please promise that you won't be provoked." Ozpin said.
"Sure." Ironwood answered hesitantly.
"Well…" Ozpin said.
"Please don't…" Glynda said.
One Devil May Cry 3 Summary later…
"My God...you actually explained everything to him…" Glynda muttered in annoyance.
"It was kind of essential." Ozpin said.
Like Ozpin and Glynda before, Ironwood needed some time to comprehend what he just heard. Just after apologizing to Dante, Ironwood started having some mutual respect towards him. But after hearing what Dante had to go through, he started even having more mutual respect for him.
"So, Dante's a demon from another world huh?" Ironwood asked.
"Half Demon to be exact." Ozpin corrected.
"Hmph...one more secret to talk about." Ironwood said. "Though I want to talk to Dante about this."
"James, I swear to God, if you plan on hunting him…" Glynda said.
"I don't plan on hunting him Glynda. I just want to clarify if this is true." Ironwood said, silencing Glynda. "If I didn't make it clear, I've already settled my debt with Dante. Besides, if he truly was a threat, he would've just killed me when he pointed his gun towards my face. From another world or not, we should just leave him be for now."
"I couldn't agree more." Ozpin said.
"But before we talk about this even more, let me just get something out of the way." Ironwood said. "Does he know?"
"...No. Not yet." Ozpin said. "He's only been in Remnant for 3 hours. So it's best we give him some time to adjust to this world. And should the time come, then we could tell him."
Dante's POV
Vale - Vacant Building
4:00 PM
The next day…
After finally finding the perfect building for his Grimm hunting store, Dante started getting things ready. The appearance of the building was similar to his old shop back in his world when it comes to the exterior and interior.
"Okay let's see…" Dante said while making a list on a notepad he found. "So I need a jukebox, two couches, a drum set, a fridge, a shower, a phone, an office table, a few billboards, a sign, and a chair."
With the list done, Dante just ripped the page out of the notepad and pocketed it in his red coat.
"Now with that done, let's see if Vale has any of these things." Dante said.
Walking towards the exit, Dante just saw a silhouette walking towards his door. Wanting to know who it was, Dante proceeded to open the door, only to see that it was none other than Ironwood.
"What brings you here?" Dante asked. "But also how the hell did you know where I was?"
"First off all, the sign outside said that this building was recently sold to a tenant. Ozpin told me you were going to be putting your business, so I decided to look for some buildings that were recently sold. So here I am." Ironwood said.
"Well that's one." Dante said. "But why are you here?"
"Ozpin filled me in on everything." Ironwood said.
"So now you know." Dante said. "What? Are you going to arrest me because I'm a half-demon? Pfft...I thought we'd be done with this already."
"Dante. I don't have a quarrel with you anymore. We already covered that yesterday." Ironwood said. "I just wanted to know if it was real."
"Ugh...you and Ozpin are so disbelieving…" Dante said.
Channeling some of his demonic energy, Dante finally unleashed all of it, transforming into his Devil Trigger form in the process. Looking at Dante's demonic form, Ironwood can't help but be surprised at it.
"...Words can't describe how I'm feeling right now." Ironwood said.
Hearing this, Dante reverted back into his normal human form.
"So everything must be true then." Ironwood said.
"But does any of that really matters now?" Dante said.
"Well besides making us know more about you, not really." Ironwood said. "Though this made me wonder, why did you plan on opening your shop here?"
"Well, I need something to do for the past time." Dante said.
"You have no plans on attending an academy?" Ironwood asked.
"And force myself to experience school?" Dante asked. "I'm sorry. But I'm going to pass on that."
"I would be a bit helpful, but considering you're a demon hunter, I think it wouldn't be that mandatory." Ironwood said. "So what are you going to do now?"
"For starters, I really need to get some furniture for my store." Dante said. "And see if I could get some billboards for advertising."
"That's it?" Ironwood said. "Well, I think I could help you on that."
"Hm?" Dante asked.
"I could see if I could help with your little furniture and billboard problem." Ironwood said. "After all, I think I still need to repay you after everything."
"Oh." Dante said. "I mean, you don't need to. But alright, I would appreciate that."
Saying this, Dante grabbed the note he wrote earlier and gave it to Ironwood.
"Alright. I'll see if I could get everything tomorrow morning." Ironwood said while turning towards the door. "And possibly for the past time, you could start roaming around Vale more."
"Heh...I'd appreciate that." Dante said.
Nodding as a response, Ironwood turned towards the entrance and left Dante's store. Leaving the store as well, Dante started roaming around Vale.
"Alright, now that I don't have to worry about running from the military, let's see what I could look at." Dante said.
Vergil's POV
Outskirts of Remnant
8:00 PM
Knowing that he was done with Vale, Vergil decided to travel around Remnant a bit. But since he had no currency at hand, he was unable to travel around on any sort of transportation vehicle. So instead, Vergil decided to travel on foot.
Just a few kilometers , Vergil just saw numerous black wolves and bears from a distance, the same creatures he saw back at the wasteland.
Knowing that this was a waste of time, Vergil immediately unsheathed Yamato and swung it towards the horde, who just stood there as if they were statues. Turning away from the horde, Vergil started slowly sheathing Yamato back into his scabbard. And once Yamato was fully sheathed, the horde that was in front of him was horizontally bisected, leaving just a huge pile of body parts in the outskirts of Vale.
"Hmph...useless…" Vergil muttered.
Saying this, Vergil just heard a gun cocking right behind him. Annoyed at this, Vergil turned around to see who it was. All he saw were three random strangers. Not Atlas soldiers nor Dante himself. Looking at the attire of these people, Vergil immediately presumed they were bandits.
"Stay where you are!" Bandit 1 said while pointing his gun towards Vergil's head.
"And what do you plan on doing?" Vergil asked.
"We saw what you did with those Grimm over there." Bandit 2 said. "We could use skill like that."
"And your reason being?" Vergil asked.
"Someone like you could use some extra coin." Bandit 3 said. "Perhaps you can make some profit if you join us."
"Hmph. Not interested." Vergil said.
"Then we have no use for you." Bandit 1 said.
Just as this bandit said this, Vergil dashed towards him with Yamato unsheathed. Passing right through the bandit, Vergil immediately sheathed Yamato. But instead of bisecting the bandit, it just caused him to fall onto his knees.
"My God…" Bandit 2 said while looking at Vergil..
Seeing this, the other two bandits turned towards Vergil with their weapons ready. But just as they did this, they just saw numerous Summoned Swords surrounding them.
"Did you guys really think it would be that easy? Idiots..." Vergil said. "Unlike any other person, I don't lust for petty things like riches."
"So what are you going to do? Kill us?" Bandit 2 asked.
"I'm giving you two choices." Vergil said while pointing Yamato towards the wounded bandit. "You can either take your friend over here back to wherever you came from. Or you could die trying…"
Knowing they can't do anything to fight off against Vergil, they decided to go with the former option.
"...You'll regret doing this." Bandit 2 said while grabbing the wounded bandit.
With the wounded bandit now resting on their shoulders, the other two bandits started running away from Vergil.
"A weak threat coming from a weak person..." Vergil muttered before slicking his hair back.
With that useless confrontation finished, Vergil continued his small journey across Remnant, walking as if that whole confrontation never happened.
Dante's POV
Vale - Sketchy Street
10:00 PM
After four hours of walking around in Vale, Dante finally reached a portion of the city that could be classified as "sketchy".
"Man...this section is one hell of a ghost town." Dante said. "No business. No people. Not even any working streetlights…"
Turning around the corner, Dante just saw numerous strobe lights from one specific building. Walking towards the building, Dante looked at the exterior, only to see that this specific building had no designated name. But looking at the numerous strobe lights coming out of the windows, Dante immediately assumed it was some sort of nightclub.
Since Dante had nothing else to do, he decided to check it out.
Vale - Unknown Nightclub
10:02 PM
Just as Dante entered the building, he started looking at his surroundings, only to see a dance floor, a DJ, a bar, and numerous other people dancing on the dance floor. Just from looking at this, Dante knew that it was a nightclub.
"Now this is my kind of place." Dante said while walking towards the bar.
Arriving at the bar, Dante sat down on one of the stools and waited for the bartender to come to him. Seeing Dante sit down, the bartender immediately ran in front of him.
"What do you want?" The bartender asked.
"Just give me a shot of beer for the night." Dante said while placing one Lien on the counter.
"Got it." The bartender said while turning to get a bottle of beer. Grabbing the bottle and a shot of glass, he poured some beer in and slid it towards Dante. "Here you go."
"Thanks." Dante said before downing the shot of beer. With the shot done, Dante decided to try another drink while looking at the small menu right in front of him. "Alright, this time I want...um...a strawberry sunrise with no ice."
"You want the umbrella with it?" The bartender asked.
"Sure." Dante said.
"Coming right up." The bartender said.
While waiting for his drink, Dante decided to kick back and listen to the music the DJ was playing. Waiting even more, Dante started feeling someone tapping his shoulder. Turning around to see who it was, Dante just saw a tall man, wearing a black vest, white dress shirt, and red tie.
"Can I help you?" Dante asked.
"Aren't you a bit too young to be in this club?" The man asked.
"And who are you supposed to be?" Dante asked.
"The owner of this place." The man said. "And I said you're a bit too young to be here."
"Don't worry about it." Dante said while reaching into his pocket. "I have the money for this kind of stuff…"
Saying this, Dante pulled out at least 200 Lien out of his pocket. Fanning them towards the man, he can't help but be impressed at how loaded Dante was. Knowing that Dante had the money to pay for the drinks here, he decided to leave him alone.
"Well then...hope you enjoy yourself here." The man said before turning away from Dante as if nothing happened.
"Pfft, that was pointless." Dante said. Just as Dante said this, the bartender gave him his strawberry sunrise. "Thanks."
With the drink at hand, Dante started drinking it. Of course, like expected, Dante liked the drink. So much so that after his first strawberry sunrise, Dante decided to order another one.
"Hey bartender! Mind if I get another one of these beverages." Dante asked.
"On it." The bartender said.
Just as the bartender said this, he immediately gave Dante the strawberry sunrise. Once Dante grabbed the drink, someone started walking right beside him. Looking at who it was, Dante just saw a blonde girl with lilac eyes while wearing a tan jacket and two golden bracelets.
"I'll have whatever he's having." The blonde said while pointing at Dante's drink.
"Coming right up." The bartender said.
While the blonde was waiting for her beverage, she decided to sit beside Dante for a bit.
"So...what brings a pretty girl like you in a place like this?" Dante asked.
"Please. You're not going to go far with compliments like that." The blonde said.
"Heh...worth a try though." Dante said while drinking his strawberry sunrise. "But you have yet to answer my question."
"What do you mean?" The blonde asked.
"Do you really expect someone to believe that a girl like you decided to travel to the sketchiest part of this town just to get some alcoholic drink and party a bit?" Dante asked.
"Maybe. Though I'm surprised that you were able to guess correctly. Maybe you're not as dumb as I thought." The blonde said, prompting Dante to scoff a bit.
"So...what's the reason?" Dante asked.
"Anyways, have you seen this person?" The blonde said while pulling out a Scroll.
Looking at the scroll, Dante just saw a picture of a woman that looked similar to the girl, but her hair was more ravenous and black with red highlights, her eyebrows are a little bit higher, her complexion is significantly lighter, and there are slight age lines under her eyes. Not only that but her eyes were red rather than lilac.
"Sorry. Don't recognize her." Dante said.
Hearing this, the blonde can't help but sigh a bit.
"Well, it was worth a try." The blonde said.
Just as the blonde said this, the man from earlier started approaching the girl.
"Aren't you a bit too young to be in this club, Blondie?" The man asked.
"Heh...and aren't you a little too old to have the name Junior?" The blonde asked.
Hearing this name, Dante can't help but chuckle a bit at how stupid of a nickname that is.
"Heh...Junior…" Dante muttered.
"This doesn't concern you." Junior said to Dante.
"Whatever…" Dante said while gesturing his hand towards Junior. Turning towards the bar, Dante decided to go for another drink. "See if you could get me a glass of beer."
"Sure." The bartender said.
Slouching his arm a bit on the counter, Dante waited a bit until he finally got his glass of beer. With the glass at hand, Dante just started taking small sips from the glass. Though while he was drinking, he started hearing numerous gunfire behind him. Though instead of looking behind him, Dante decided to continue drinking, thinking that all that gunfire was just a drunk hallucination.
"Man...I really need to lay off the beer…" Dante muttered while looking at his glass.
Just as Dante said this, the bartender in front of him started ducking behind the counter, much to his confusion. Once the bartender was behind cover, Dante just saw numerous thugs being thrown towards the beverage shelf, causing every single bottle of alcohol to shatter in the process. Now a bit skeptical on what the heck was going on, Dante decided to turn around to see who it was.
"Alright, let's see what the hell is going on…" Dante said while turning his stool towards the dance floor. "Oh…"
Looking at the dance floor, Dante just saw numerous thugs with fire axes charging towards the center. Glancing even closer, Dante just saw the blonde girl from earlier punching each thug that was in front of her with her shotgun gauntlets. Getting really bored of just fighting everyday, Dante decided to drink his glass of beer even more and ignore the fight in general. But before Dante could finish his beer, a thug that was thrown by the blonde was sent flying towards Dante. While Dante was able to dodge thug's body, it prompted the thug's body to knock the glass of beer out of Dante's hand. Of course, this kind of annoyed Dante a bit.
"Come on...I wasn't done with that." Dante said. Sighing a bit, Dante turned towards the crowd of thugs and started approaching the girl. "Fine, let's see where this goes. After all, a fight here and there would make today a bit more interesting."
Dodging every single thug that was being thrown towards him, Dante continued walking towards the center of the dance floor until he finally saw the blonde punching more and more thugs in front of her until there was no one able to fight her. Once the blonde stopped attacking, Dante can't help but whistle at her as if he was impressed with her moves.
"Heh, not bad." Dante said, catching the girl's attention.
"What? Are you going to fight me now?" The blonde asked while getting into her fighting stance.
"Nope." Dante said.
But looking behind the blonde, Dante just saw two other girls approaching her. One was wearing a cyan and white dress with numerous silver accessories while the other girl wore a red dress and black dress with numerous black accessories. As for weapons, the girl in the white dress had bladed heels while the girl in the red dress had claws.
"But they might." Dante said while pointing at the girls.
Looking back, the blonde just got into her fighting stance while loading her shotgun gauntlets.
"So you gonna help me?" The blonde asked.
"Pfft...it's not like they're going to fight me." Dante said.
Saying this, Dante just saw numerous bullets heading towards him. Looking where the bullets were coming from, Dante just saw the DJ aiming his Tommy Gun towards him. While dodging every single bullet with his Trickster style, Dante can't help but sigh in annoyance again.
"Gimme a break…" Dante said. "Why am I getting shot at? I just wanted a drink!"
Jumping towards the DJ and dashing in with Sky Star, Dante appeared right in front of the DJ and proceeded to kick him straight to the ground. While the DJ was too busy getting up, Dante equipped Beowulf and slammed his fist down with Volcano, punching the DJ straight in the gut and making a huge crater in the process.
"Hmph….let's see how blondie is doing over there." Dante said while looking over the DJ booth, only to see the blonde managing well against the two girls. So much so that she was actually able to knock both of them to the ground. "Damn."
Looking a bit closer at the dance floor, Dante just saw Junior approaching the blonde with a gigantic rocket launcher on his shoulder.
"Well, better help her out." Dante said while vaulting over the DJ booth.
But just as Dante jumped over, he just saw Junior holding a strand of the blonde's hair, angering her so much, she made a huge shockwave that shattered everything around her. Looking at Junior's scared reaction, Dante can't help but feel sorry for whatever is coming to him.
Using the recoil of her gauntlets, the blonde dove straight towards Junior and punched him straight in the face, launching him out of a nearby window in the process.
"Alright." Dante said while approaching the blonde. Walking right behind her, Dante tried to pat her on the back. "That was great and all..."
Though just as Dante was about to walk towards her, he accidentally grabbed onto her hair and pulled some out instead of patting her on the back. Looking back at Dante, the blonde took notice to this and immediately looked at him with a very angry look on her face. Looking closer at the blonde, Dante just saw her eyes glowing red while her hair started glowing a peculiar aura. Seeing this and knowing what'll happen next, Dante just sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Man...I'll never get a break, will I?" Dante said before dropping the strands of hair he grabbed.
Getting her gauntlets ready, the blonde punched straight towards Dante. As an instinct, Dante immediately teleported out of the way and appeared right behind her. Though before Dante could dodge again, the blonde turned around and punched Dante straight in the back. Instead of dodging, Dante had to use Royalguard to parry the attack. But what kind of surprised him was that, he was knocked back a bit.
"Crap...if she keeps this up, this whole place will be destroyed." Dante thought. "I better knock her unconscious."
Using the recoil of her gauntlets, the blonde launched herself towards Dante and tried punching him in the face again. Equipping Beowulf again, Dante blocked every single punch blow after blow. Bobbing beneath one of the blonde's punches, Dante proceeded to sweep kick her towards the ground. Though while the blonde was still tumbling in the air, Dante proceeded to grab one of her legs, pulled her towards him, and punched her straight towards the ground.
Recovering from the ground with a kick up, the blonde dashed towards Dante and started punching him even more. But thanks to Royalguard, Dante was able to parry most of the attacks with ease. As for the attacks that were able to land, they knocked Dante back a few feet. While Dante was knocked back by one of the punches, the blonde dashed right in front of him and punched him right under the jaw, knocking him up into the air. While Dante was still in the air, the blonde used the recoil of her gauntlets to launch herself up into the air as well. Now with both of them in the air, the blonde started punching Dante numerous times, until finally punching him back into the ground.
Though before Dante crashed into the ground, he immediately recovered with a kick up as well.
"Alright, let's just get this over with…" Dante said.
Still in the air, the blonde used the recoil of her gauntlets once more to dash towards Dante. But to dodge it, Dante proceeded to teleport right behind the blonde, surprising her a bit. With Beowulf still equipped, Dante proceeded to use Hammer to slam the blonde towards the ground with both of his fists.
"Sorry. Nothing personal blondie." Dante said.
Landing right behind the blonde, Dante ran towards her, jumped straight in the air, and slammed his palm towards the blonde's stomach while using Release. Because Dante parried all of the blonde's punches from earlier, all of that damage was redirected right towards her. Of course, because of how painful this was, the blonde started gasping for breath.
And with that, the blonde finally lost consciousness, much to Dante's relief.
"...About time…" Dante said. Dante was about to leave, but he knew that he can't just leave the blonde laying on the floor unconscious like that. "Alright, let's see if there's a hospital nearby."
Grabbing the blonde and placing her on his shoulder, Dante started carrying her out of the club.
Vale - Sketchy Street
10:30 PM
Walking out of the club, Dante just saw Junior lying unconscious right in front of him.
"Geez...talk about unlucky." Dante said.
Still looking at Junior, Dante just noticed someone standing in front of him. Looking up to see who it was, Dante immediately recognized who was standing in front of him. Of course, it was none other than Ruby.
"Hey...it's you." Dante said to Ruby.
"Hey Dante!" Ruby said. "So what happened here?"
"Um…" Dante said while looking at the nightclub, which had at least one broken window. "I think it's safe to say that we should just leave that alone."
Just hearing this, Ruby can't help but tilt her head in confusion, knowing that she might never know what happened in there. But what confused Ruby even more was that Dante was carrying someone quite familiar to her.
"Dante, who are you carrying?" Ruby asked.
"Oh! Her?" Dante asked. "Honestly, I don't know who it is. I don't even know her name."
Looking even closer at the girl Dante was carrying, Ruby immediately recognized who it was.
"Wait...YANG?!" Ruby said in shock.
"Who now?" Dante asked.
"Yang. She's my sister." Ruby said. "So that's where she went…"
"So this is your sister huh?" Dante asked, prompting Ruby to nod a bit. "Well, what a small world you live in…"
"Though...what happened to her?" Ruby asked.
"Well first of all, since she's your sister, mind if I could help you bring her back to your house?" Dante asked.
"Um…" Ruby hesitated.
"Maybe on our way back, I could tell you what exactly happened in...there." Dante said while glancing at the nightclub.
"I don't know about that. Considering my dad might be home, he might get a bit ticked off that you knocked out one of his daughters." Ruby said.
"Which is why I'll only escort you to the Bullhead." Dante said.
"So where will you go then?" Ruby asked.
"I have to go back to my store." Dante said.
"You own a store?" Ruby asked.
"Well, not really. I mean I have the building, but the store is not open yet." Dante responded.
"So, you're just going to sleep in your store?" Ruby asked.
"Basically." Dante said.
"That's...not convenient." Ruby said.
"Hey, it's better than nothing." Dante said while shrugging a bit. "Anyways, come on. Let's head to a Bullhead before it gets late."
Nodding as a response, Ruby started following Dante to Vale's Docking Bay.
Bandit's POV
Unknown Camp
11:00 PM
After their confrontation with the man in the blue coat, the two bandits carried their wounded comrade back to their camp. Entering the camp, the two bandits saw Vernal and two other bandits approaching them.
"What the hell happened?" Vernal asked.
"We were trying to mug a guy, but he retaliated and wounded one of our own." Bandit 2 said.
Looking at the wounded bandit, Vernal turned towards one of the bandits behind her.
"Get a medical kit ready." Vernal said.
"Of course." Bandit 4 said.
Saying this, the two bandits behind Vernal started carrying the wounded bandit into one of the tents.
"Though, mind being a bit specific on who did this?" Vernal asked one of the bandits.
"...It was a man. With white hair and a blue coat." Bandit 2 said.
"He was strong. Stronger than anything we've seen." Bandit 3 said.
"How strong?" Vernal asked with some curiosity.
"Before we mugged him, we just saw him kill a whole horde of Grimm with one slash from his katana." Bandit 2 said. "He wasn't even close to the horde. He just slashed the air and bisected all of them."
"He was also fast." Bandit 3 said. "Fast enough to wound our comrade before we even noticed."
With a description like that, Vernal had some concern on who this man might be.
"You know Raven won't be happy about this." Vernal said.
"Happy about what?" Raven asked while appearing right behind Vernal, surprising her. "That a man in blue wounded one of own?"
"...Yes." Vernal responded.
Hearing this, Raven just scoffed a bit and started walking towards the two bandits.
"This man in blue…" Raven said while smirking a bit. "Please, tell me more about him."
And that's the end of this chapter.
Reviews:
Ultimate Kuuga:
-Honestly, it was kind of expected.
Shincore:
-Yeah, I kind of noticed that as well. So I might edit that later on this week.
Forge master 00:
-Now that is something you got right.
-To be honest, as much as DmC get's hate, I actually don't hate it myself. Sure, the characters of each person was terrible, but it's saving grace was the gameplay, which was actually pretty fun.
Diabetes4dinner:
-RIP, he gave a whole summary.
Jack905:
-Thanks.
Xivitai:
-As explained in this chapter, you'll see the reasons behind his actions.
Shadow Joestar:
-Honestly...I have no plans on Dante or Vergil meeting with Salem...yet.
LockeBelmont:
-Thanks for the compliment.
Guest:
-As for DMC4SE moves, yeah. I have plans for adding those. Especially Judgement Cut End, considering that's one of Vergil's best attacks.
Guest:
-Sorry dude. I don't take requests for actual chapters. So I can't do that. Besides, I have no plans on Raven or Qrow fighting against one another.
Pink Pidgeon:
-Yes, you're right. But I only made that update just to try my best to tell any of the readers who are unaware of it.
YuukiAsuna-Chan:
-Well, he had to get it out of his chest somehow so better get it out early. But I can't force you to like this fanfiction. So if you don't like reading this fanfiction, then I understand. People have different taste and preferences y'know.
