Satori removed herself from her seat and walked over to Mario and Ty Lee, having to look down at Mario due to their height difference. She placed her hands behind her back and her staff floated behind her, as though she was controlling it despite its distance from her.

"What can we do to help you?" Satori asked.

"Cut the smooth stuff," Mario replied, pointing his finger at Satori. "You did something to the Super Crowns to make them harder to come off and mess up memories of whoever has them on."

Jordan and Ava looked at each other's crown. Satori clapped her hands.

"Nice performance," Satori said, giving a smirk to Mario and throwing her left arm in the direction of Jordan and Ava, "but surely you didn't think my friends here would believe any of that, did you?"

Jordan and Ava watched the interaction with their eyes squarely focused on the section of the room Ty Lee, Mario, and Satori were occupying. Ty Lee pointed at the two, Satori turning around in seeing her hand dart past her.

"I want to know what you two think," Ty Lee said. "Why would Mario create some story about Satori doing something to the Super Crowns you're wearing?"

"You mean what would be in it for him to say that to us?" Ava asked.

"Yeah."

"Maybe he really, really doesn't like us being friends with Satori and Bowsette and wants to stop us from liking them."

Satori clapped her hands.

"Good answer," Satori said, walking back to the table Jordan and Ava were presently seated at. "These two have found themselves jealous of our friendships and they can't quite get what it's like to have multiple people want to be around you for a long time. But rather than just ask us how to do it, they want to create division amongst us friends so they can create some sick world where everyone wants to be away from each other."

Jordan placed his hands to his cheeks and opened his mouth concurrently with the sound of a gasp piercing the room.

"What kind of people did they know that made them want to take out how angry they are for what they did at us?" Jordan asked.

"That's a really good question," Satori said, looking at Mario and Ty Lee. "How come you guys are so upset that you don't have very many friends?"

"I've got loads of buddies," Mario boasted, maintaining a frustrated expression, "and that has nothing to do with what you've done to these people."

Upstairs, Bowsette had smashed pieces of the doorway between the room Justin was staying in and the bathroom. The tears were large enough to allow for Justin's behind to be moved by Bowsette into the room. Justin turned to Bowsette with a face indicating satisfaction and gave her a hug.

"Thank you so much," Justin said.

"No problem, Daisy," Bowsette replied.

"I don't remember my butt ever getting stuck like that before. It must have been inflated from something."

"Or maybe that Super Crown made it larger."

"What do you mean? How could the Super Crown do that?"

"Oh, my mistake. I meant to say maybe it got larger from what you've been eating. There's some uneven distribution of where the weight goes when it comes to your body."

Bowsette said that with a laugh, Justin looking back at her with his arms folded.

"Are you making fun of how I look?" Justin asked.

"No, no, no. I'm just trying to explain what might have made the difference," Bowsette said. "I would never make fun of how you look."

Bowsette moved to hug him, but Justin pulled away her arms.

"I've been trying to make a good impression the entire time I've been here," Justin told her. "I know you don't normally get visits from people that aren't Koopas but I wanted to distinguish myself further by going out of my way to see to it that you have a good time."

"I'm happy you did that," Bowsette replied. "Now let's not fight. We should go downstairs and enjoy the rest of my company."

Bowsette held Justin's hand as the pair walked back into the dining room, where they saw Mario and Ty Lee standing in the corner while Satori, Jordan, and Ava ate together.

"Things just went from bad to worse," Ty Lee observed, placing her hand on Mario's shoulder. "We might be better off leaving."

"I don't run away from bad things," Mario told her, turning to Bowsette. "Well look what former dragon has prettied himself up. Tell me. Were all those times you tried kidnapping Peach to get her to be with you or to get beauty tips from her?"

Bowsette looked at Mario with a frown, her sharp fangs pressing against the soft skin underneath her lip. And then, a tear appeared beneath her cheek. Mario and Ty Lee stared at her with open mouths, as though surprised by the reaction.

"I'm just trying to make friends," Bowsette said. "And I don't need either of you trying to make me look any worse than I already have in front of them. It's bad enough I was too stupid to make a bigger door for Daisy before she got stuck in it. Now I'm getting this from people that don't even want to get to know me."

She threw her head down and slammed her fist against her legs.

"I can't do anything right," Bowsette declared, placing her hands to her face while weeping.

Jordan rushed out of his seat and placed his hand on Bowsette's back.

"You didn't do anything wrong, Bowsette," Jordan told her, looking at Ty Lee and Mario angrily. "It's these people that have made everything wrong."

"Jordan," Ty Lee called out to him. "You can't seriously tell me that you don't remember anything about your past."

"Don't call me names that aren't mine. It's Rosalina."

"Oh please."

Mario tapped Ty Lee's arm.

"Maybe we should do what you said earlier and get out of here," Mario told her.

"Why the change of heart?" Ty Lee asked.

"Look over there."

Ava had removed herself from the table, her white gloves being surrounded by a red construct of energy that Mario kept his eyes on. Jordan's hands were also bleeding the same color, as were Justin's, who was furthest from the two.
