As the days proceeded, Kom had went over many thoughts and ideas rushing through her head of how to kill off her sister. The dark haired princess knew that it wouldn't be an easy task, but she was very adamant. Since Kom and Kori were not very close, in fact, they had gotten into physical fights as children, she had to earn the trust of Kori. Those fights were what had distanced them in their relationship. As a child, Kom had felt that Kori was the favorite, that the servants and anyone who had come to visit the King had adored her immensely. Despite the fact that Kom had pitch black hair, she took for granted that her mother did not want to get rid of her or lock her up in an insane asylum for looking different and causing fights among her sister. Even then, Princess Kom could still feel the rejection. Princess Kom knew what she had to do in order to win her sister's trust.
It took many days for Princess Kori to realize that her sister had a change of heart. Kom had made many attempts to show Kori that she wanted to have a relationship with her. She even started the conversation that she apologized for being cruel over the years and that it had been she felt so out of place in the family. She wanted to have a relationship and form a bond with her very own sister. Princess Kori had seemed astonished at this confession, but did not want to accept so quickly. Finally, it had been when Kom wanted to know more about Kori's interest and when realizing that they had more than a few ideas in common, Kori couldn't help but feel overjoyed. The King and Queen themselves, were pleased and admired the bond that their daughters were finally forming for each other, more so pleased with Princess Kom.
As the months went on, the princesses had gotten so close that they began to act out and be silly around the castle together. Although, Princess Kom was very mischievous, she had decreased the mischief acts she created with Kori. It was unlike Princess Kori to misbehave, Princess Kom had been considerate in how they got in trouble. Years earlier, Princess Kom had done certain things to get her in trouble, but since she was the Princess, her actions never got the appropriate punishment. When she was a child, she had purposely broken a set of beautifully painted porcelain dishes in the dining room and had set a rose bush on fire in the garden with a portable fire lamp. With Princess Kori, Kom had little mischief ideas to do such as throwing pebbles at a guard and running away and leaving their rooms in the middle of the night to sneak around the castle. The daughters of the King had a great deal of fun together. On certain days, they would ride their horses and even raced them in the field for many hours. The girls even had certain faces and looks they would give each other when they were about to do something childish. The Queen had known about their little mischief activities but had not said anything to cease it, for the girls had gotten closer with each other and they were merry.
