Chapter 4:Mystery meat part 2
In the school library,Raven was nervously pacing around the room while starring at a piece of paper.
"Okay,you've been walking around with your eyes glued to that old piece of paper for the past 15 's going on?"
"Sorry Samantha but I'm worried,ghosts that have already crossed over can only return in the corporeal world via portals.I have someone moderating those but the Fentons managed to create one without a scythe and we might have different individuals coming back."
"Can't we just close the portal before the crazy lunch lady comes back to turn Sam into a snack?"Tucker said earning a glare from Sam and an elbow.
"Sadly it's not that barrier between worlds is thin.A strong enough force can create a breach and the ghost portal in the lab has made the barrier even weaker,without even using magic.I also have no jurisdiction over it since it belongs to Dany's parents."
"We're never going to convince my parents to close and dismember their life's 's also the whole secret thing."
"Fortunately, Edith is still in the ghost zone so the news hasn't hit her,yet..."
Back at the Fenton residence,an elderly female ghost dressed in lunch lady garb exits the now open skin is a spectral green and her eyes a threatening red.
"Ooh! Somebody changed the menu!"her words were laced with poison.
Have you ever done anything to ignite a fire of hatred from your peers?Oh boy,I had more than my fair share.I'm dumb but this story ain't about me.I have to say,getting this pissed off by a menu change is quite drastic but my High school didn't have a cafeteria so I'm a stranger in a strange land.
"Face it Sam,you screwed up."
When people unite under a common goal they can do wonderful and not so wonderful things.A meat vs ultra-recyclo-vegetarian protest?I'm sitting this one out,makes no sense…
"Are you serious Tucker?Can't you support your friends?"
"Normally I would but I'm not a sheep,I don't eat grass."
In the shadows of the empty halls,Raven and Danny are trying to shake off a headache.
"Told ya not to intervene."
"Yes Danny,I get and Tucker are stubborn and I'm an idiot."
"Not an idiot but like not very good with people."
"Not helping but marks for that a cold wisp escaping your mouth just now?"she said before one escaped her lips as well.
"Lunch lady ghost?"
"Well it ain't Jazz,your parents are still on her go ghost and warn your buddies,I'll check lunch room."
"On it.I'm going ghost!"
The kitchen and the cafeteria were empty,silent as a a cemetery but Raven couldn't feel any spirits.
"Crap."the reaper said and rushed and behold,Edith in the form of a giant meat monster,ready to swallow Sam.
"No one changes my menu!"
"Man,a lot can happen in 5 me guess Stubborn Sam meets the already pissed off lunch lady ghost?
"That just about sums it 't you slash the monster with your Scythe and be done with it?"
"My blade can only open portals,find spirits and cut through titanium but I usually have to bargain with the ghosts that are not keen on leaving the realm of the 's part of my duties is to take care of unfinished business and the rules prevent me from forcing them to come against their will."
"Wait,since your own rules are preventing you from dragging them back to the Ghost zone…What about me?"
"Worth a shot.I'll go after your parents and find if one of their gadgets can help us,you go and redirect the crowd somewhere meat free and you distract to get Sam from Harm's way."
"Got it"The boys said in unison.
Tucker diverted the crowd away from the monster while Danny annoyed the monster enough to grab grabbed the Fenton thermos while our favorite bumbling ghost hunters were fixated on did they not notice the all commotion?
"Got the thermos."
"Great but how are we going to get that into this?"Sam inquired.
"If Tucker can eat a whole buffet,I'm sure this little thing can suck in any Ghost."
"Well unless anybody got a better plan,let's do it."he said heroically while striking a pose.
"Just save our butts ghost boy."said an annoyed Sam and Tucker.
Do you know how annoying it is to clean a mess that size?Ugh,they should've seen the tidal wave of spoiling meat coming a mile away."Of mice and men"yelled Lancer and put all four of our friends on clean up was Raven glad she didn't need to eat to survive after seeing Tucker eat some of the discarded meat.
