Chapter 3: Nick's Big Date, An Invitation to Disaster

Author's Note: Alright, so I finally finished up Chapter 3 of The Lawyer, the Ninja, and the Assassin. Please don't ask me when Chapter 4 of the story will be posted up, because not even I know that. I will do my best to update on this story. To be honest, every single chapter has been very long. It takes quite a while to write each one, and typing it all over again is a pain. Please be patient, my followers. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy this chapter of LNA.

"There he is. Phoenix Wright vs. Nova. Combos by both of them. Pow! Wam! Bam! Nick gets beats, but there I go and save the day! I take out Nova, and here comes Ryu, a formidable opponent for me. Whack! Blam! Kablammo!" Deadpool described the first match of the tournament to his allies Phoenix Wright and strider Hiryu as they walked down the hallway. Nick chuckled at Wade's description and spoke up.

"I know, Deadpool. I was there the whole time. Besides, you shouldn't be so arrogant, considering you did get defeated by Ryu. You also forgot the person who even led us to victory: Hiryu," Nick informed Wade while turning to Hiryu, who had his head down the entire time. "Hiryu? You okay?"

"We...won...by a miracle. Next time... We need to have a strategy..." Hiryu replied as he clenched his fist.

"What do you mean?" asked Nick in confusion.

"We are a team, correct? We need to start acting like one, or else we'll never win this tournament," implied Hiryu while walking away from the other two. Nick tried to stop Hiryu, but he already went up the steps to the seats of the arena. "I'm going to watch other matches for a bit to analyze our future opponents. I'm sure that's what smart fighters do. I'll see you guys later."

"What's his problem?" questioned Deadpool. "He was happy when we were out there."

"Maybe he just didn't want to show his true feelings towards other people. He won't trust anybody here; not even us," Nick said as the two centered a nearby locker room. As they walked in, a man with a blue trench-coat, a mighty blade, and white hair approached Nick and bumped into him.

"Oh, excuse me. Sorry for bumping into you like that," apologized Nick. The man glared at Nick and exited the room. "That was weird."

"Dude, you're lucky he didn't kill you," said Wade.

"What do you mean?"

"That was Vergil. He has god-like powers compared to us all. He's also Dante's brother, who also has god-like powers, but maybe I'm overreacting," Deadpool said. Nick undressed himself (as for Deadpool, he kept his suit on) and the two entered the showers. They turned on their water and screamed from the icy water hitting their backs. After the water heated up, Nick let the water hit his face.

"I'm worried about Strider, Wade."

"Why do you say that? He was just pissed at us."

"It's not just that. He was mad about us not acting like a team, and since I'm not really a fighter, what if we never become an actual team?" Nick questioned. Deadpool placed a hand on Phoenix's shoulder, despite the fact that he was naked.

"Nicky boy, you don't need to worry about it. You just need a bit more training, that's all. And about ninja boy... he'll come to terms. He just needs to blow off some steam."

"I hope you're right."

The two finished showering and went to the lockers Finnegan appointed to them. They typed in their security codes and opened the lockers.

"We should celebrate our first win," suggested Deadpool.

"That's a good idea, but I don't think I could."

"Why not?"

"I was actually thinking about taking Felicia on a date."

"Haha! I knew you liked her! LOL!"

Nick face palmed as Wade laughed at him.

"Shut up... Where could I take her?"

"You can take her to a nice café or restaurant."

Nick took Wade's suggestion into consideration, but then realized one thing.

"Wait, we can leave this place?"

"Of course! Anna told me that we were only trapped in here for the ceremony, but now we can go anywhere," informed Wade. Nick found in his locker a simple white T-Shirt, dark blue jeans, and a pair of black sneakers. "Not what. I usually wear, but I might as well wear it."

After Phoenix finished dressing, he glanced at Deadpool; the assassin was still in his original costume.

"Well, you look less boring with regular clothes!" Deadpool complimented Nick.

"Thanks...? Is that costume the only thing you wear?"

"I just...feel lonely without it..." said Wade. Nick was confused, but disregarded Deadpool's statement. When the two finished dressing, Nick began to exit, but turned around and saw that Wade was still sitting on the bench.

"What's wrong? Aren't you coming?" Nick asked him.

"Don't worry about me. Go on. Have fun out in the world. I'm gonna pull some pranks," Wade responded with a mischievous grin on his face.

"Umm... Okay? Suit yourself, then," Nick said as he exited the locker room. As he walked through the halls, he remembered something. He took out the card with Maya's face on it.

"I thank you for the help, Maya. I couldn't have won without you." Maya smiled at Nick.

"Awe, Nick, stop. You won, not me."

"Don't be like that. We won. Together. So you're sure you're okay in there?" Nick asked the medium.

"Don't worry. I'll be fine. Even though we are in separate cards, the Judge and Missile are here to keep me company," Maya noted. The two of them discussed about the tournament. Before he could reply once again, he stopped in front of a cat girl with blue hair.

"There you are! I was looking all over for you!" exclaimed Felicia. Nick stumbled back a bit.

"O-Oh! Felicia, it's you. You gave me quite a scare there."

"Hehe! Sorry. Who were you talking to Mr. Wright?" Felicia asked innocently.

"Umm, no one!" Nick said while putting away the card, despite hearing Maya's muffled cries. "And you don't have to keep calling me 'Mr. Wright'. Nick is fine as it is."

"Okay, then! I just wanted to congratulate you on your victory. You did great!" Felicia complimented Nick, so he blushed.

"Awe, stop. It was nothing..."

"Are you kidding? That was awesome, considering you have never fought in a real battle in your entire life. No offense."

"None taken. Are you going to be fighting soon?"

"Yeah. Are you going to cheer for me?"

"Well, my teammates pretty much ditched me to go watch other matches, and I really don't have anything else to do, so I'll watch you," Nick said with a smile.

"Great!" Felicia cheered while she gave Phoenix a big hug. "I'll be fighting in about five minutes, so I'd best be going now. Find a good seat! See you later... Nick!" Felicia literally ran like a cat through the halls and out of Nick's sight.

"She called me Nick..." He thought to himself after he blushed. Phoenix decided to meet with Hiryu and Wade once again and watch Felicia fight, so he headed up the steps to the arena bleachers. When he reached the top, he saw many people cheering and anticipating for the next match to start. Nick continued to look around, but managed to find Deadpool sitting next to Hiryu, waving to Phoenix, and saving a seat for him. Nick waved back and approached the assassin.

"You saved a seat for me?" the lawyer asked.

"Of course. I figured you had nothing else to do here, so you would come here. C'mon, take a seat. You must be tired after that match," Deadpool advised him with a chuckle. Nick was confused by what Wade was laughing about, but figured it out once he sat down. Everyone heard a loud flatulence noise, causing them (most especially Deadpool) to laugh uncontrollably.

"HAHAHAHA! Oh, man, that is the best! I told you he would fall for it!" Deadpool exclaimed while nudging Hiryu. The ninja only sighed in disappointment, considering how immature Wade's actions were.

"What the hell, Deadpool?! I'm gonna kill you!" Nick screamed in anger as he punched the assassin's left arm. Deadpool grave a pouty face, but couldn't resist laughing. Nick grabbed the whoopsie cushion he sat on, threw it directly at Wade's face, and sat down in frustration.

"I don't know what you guys are laughing about," Finnegan started, "but it's time to start our next match, the fifth match, of our glorious tournament!" Both Finn and Annabelle stood on a platform specially made for them (with comfortable chairs). A giant barrier shielded the two, ensuring that neither of them would be injured from the fights.

"Well, then. Let's bring out our next two teams!" Anna shouted into her microphone. "Our first team is Team 9! The first member is the feline of terror, Felicia!"

The crowd cheered at the top of their lungs as the cat girl ran around and waved to the crowd.

"I'm so excited for this!" she exclaimed.

"Go get 'em, Kitty!" Deadpool cheered!

"Go, Felicia!" Phoenix yelled out as he gave Felicia two thumbs up. Felicia took notice of the defense attorney and waved to him in a very cutesy fashion, causing him to blush.

"Next up, we have the famous zombie hunter who is fighting to end bioterrorism forever, Chris Redfield!" Finn shouted.

The audience cheered as they observed a very muscular man running through the gate, waving to everyone around him. He gave Felicia a high five, took out a handgun from his leg holster, loaded and cocked the gun.

"Let's get this mission started. Ready, partner?" he asked Felicia.

"I'm always ready, Chris!" she responded in anticipation.

"Finally, we have our last member. He's not a very nice guy, and he's got photographic reflexes! Here is the mercenary, Taskmaster!" Anna shouted at the top of her lungs. A man in white swung inside the arena and landed next to his partners.

"Nothin' to it! After we win this thing, I'll be rich!" he said. Deadpool was stunned to see Taskmaster there.

"Hey! It's my old buddy, Tasky!" he noted. Wade screamed Taskmaster's name several times to get his attention, causing everyone to look at the assassin with confused faces. Nick covered his face to save himself from the embarrassment.

"Okay... Moving on... It's time to introduce our second team!" exclaimed Finn. "C'mon, out, Team 5!" At that moment, three figures came out of the opposite gate: a man in red and blue, a small man in silver armor, and a woman with white hair and black clothes (with an "X" insignia on it). "There they are! Introducing Dr. Strange, Arthur, and Storm!"

"Let's end this quickly, shall we?" Dr. Strange asked his partners.

"Agreed. I will fight them, fair and square!" chimed in Sir Arthur.

"I call upon the power of Nature herself to aid us on this battle," replied Storm as she raised her hands to the air.

"Alright, then! The competitors are set," Anna began, "so let's get this battle started!"

Both Finn and Anna spoke in unison.

"Ready... FIGHT!"

2 Minutes Later...

Phoenix Wright, Strider Hiryu, and Deadpool, watched the battle unfold before them. It was Felicia versus Dr. Strange, the members on both teams. Strange used his magic and flung glowing discs at Felicia, but she was quick, so she dodged them with ease. When Felicia spun into a ball and launched herself at the sorcerer, he stopped her and threw her back with his magic. Felicia stood up and began panting from exhaustion.

"I got 4 bars left, but only 40% life. This might be risky, but it's my only chance of winning this for the team!" she thought to herself.

"What's wrong, young lady? You're not finished yet, are you?" questioned Dr. Strange while he kept a calm smile on his face.

At that moment, Felicia generated power as she stayed in a certain posture for a few seconds. In an instant, a much smaller version of Felicia appeared in front of her and ran straight towards Dr. Strange.

"Here I come!" yelled the tiny cat girl. She continuously ran around the sorcerer, causing him to turn his attention away from the original Felicia and to the smaller version of her. When Felicia found Dr. Strange distracted, she quickly ran to him and began her combo. She launched him into the air and quickly threw him back down. When she landed, she clasped her hands together and pleaded, "Everybody... HELP!"

Dr. Strange didn't get a chance to even think as he found himself being stomped on and trampled by many copies of Felicia. As they continued to attack him, "Die! Die! Die!" could be heard repeatedly. Finally, one last Felicia came in, saying "Charge!" The copy jumped up high and landed directly on top of Strange, completely depleting his vitality.

"Thanks, guys!" Felicia cheered as her copies disappeared.

"We have a winner!" announced both Finn and Anna. The crowd went crazy for Felicia's victory! Chris and Taskmaster gave the cat girl high fives. Nick stood up, clapped, and cheered along with the crowd as Deadpool blew into a massive horn similar to those at soccer games. Hiryu did neither; he wrote down notes of each character's strengths and weaknesses, for he knew Team 9 would be quite the challenge for Team 18 in the future.

"Deadpool, can I talk to you for a moment? Alone?" Nick asked him.

"Yeah, sure. Anything for you, Wright!" Wade replied. The two budded their farewell to the ninja and went down the steps. Finally, they headed to a nearby water fountain. Wade hit the button and spoke up.

"So, what's up, Wright?" Deadpool said as he drank, despite him wearing a mask.

"Well, you see, Wade... I really like Felicia-"

"And you don't know if she likes you back, so you want some advice, right?"

"Basically. It's been a long time since I've actually had a girlfriend."

"Nicky boy, all you need to do is be yourself and ask her out on a date. You told me you invited her for coffee, right?"

"Yeah, but I feel as though I should do something a bit nicer."

Deadpool slapped Nick on the back and said, "Attaboy, Nick! You want to go extreme, and I like that! Remember, just be yourself."

"I guess you're right. Thanks, Wade. I'm gonna go talk to her. See you later!" Nick yelled as he ran down the hall.

"Good luck, young one! They grow up so fast..." Wade said as he wiped a tear off his face.

"You did great in that match!" Nick complimented Felicia as they walked down the halls together.

"Thanks. I tried my hardest," she replied.

"Man, that last move you did was crazy! That last jumped up and WHAM! I didn't even know which one was the real Felicia!" Nick practically sounded like Wade, causing her to laugh.

"Hehehe! You're so funny. Thanks for cheering for me, Nick." Nick scratched his hard and chuckled along with her. "Are we still going to get coffee?"

"Umm... I was thinking we could do something else."

"Oh? And what did you have in mind?"

"C'mon, Nick. You can do this! Just ask her! If she says no, just be on your way!" the lawyer thought to himself. "Would you like to have dinner with me? Tonight?"

"Dinner? Oh, Nick, you don't have to do that for me-"

"Oh, but I insist!"

"Are you sure this isn't a bit too much?"

"It's fine. You won't have to worry about anything."

"Well, I guess it can't hurt to have dinner. Okay, then! I'll have dinner with you," Felicia said with a smile. A huge smile crept on Nick's face.

"Yes! I knew I could do it!" Nick cleared his throat and spoke up. "Well, I guess I'll pick you up at 7PM?"

"That sounds like a good time. I really should get going. I'm supposed to meet my team somewhere. I'll see you later, okay, Nick?" she told him. Felicia gave Nick a quick peck on the cheek and ran through the hallways.

"Okay, then! See you later!" he yelled back to her. He felt his cheek and thought, "She gave me a kiss. Does this mean she likes me?"

Nick then started to panic.

"Oh, no! What have I done?! I invited Felicia to a fancy dinner that I can't even pay for! Stupid, stupid, stupid!" Nick yelled at himself as he smacked himself on the head. He then got an idea. He ran straight to his team's room, grabbed the phone and dialed a number.

"Hello? Annabelle? Oh, I interrupted your announcements? I'm sorry. I thought you were on break or something. Anyway, I need you to do me a favor. For what? Umm... I have a date tonight."

Phoenix Wright looked at himself in the mirror inside his room. He wore a black tuxedo similar to the one he wore at the ceremony, except this one had a regular red tie and an elegant red rose. He looked at the digital clock across the room; it was now 6:30. He knew he had to be going soon. As he fixed his tie, he sighed and closed his eyes, thinking, "Man, it's been a long time since I've done this."

"Going somewhere?" asked Hiryu, who was laying on his bed while reading a magazine.

"Yeah, I'm going on a date with Felicia," the lawyer responded. At first, Strider didn't believe him, but then he saw his serious face.

"Good luck. Just be yourself," he advised. Nick need as if to say "I understand."

"Well, I should probably be going now," Nick said as he walked to the door. As he placed his hand on the doorknob, he felt as though he forgot something. "Hey, Hiryu. Where's Deadpool?"

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you."

"Just tell me."

"Alright..." Hiryu stood up and made eye contact with Nick. He cleared his throat and spoke up. "He told me, 'Ryu's going to teach me how to do a Shoryuken! See you in five hours!' and ran off in excitement."

Nick couldn't believe how great Hiryu's Deadpool impression was. It almost made him laugh.

"Oh! I almost forgot!" Nick said to himself. He took out the three cards in his pocket and placed them in a nearby desk. He looked at all three cards, most especially to the Maya card, and told the Medium,"Maya, I'm sorry how I acted towards you earlier today. I was foolish."

As he opened the door, he heard Maya reply. "It's okay, Nick. I'm not mad. I forgive you." Nick smiled in return.

"Take care of my cards, okay, Hiryu?"

"Will do," the ninja replied as he sat back down and continued reading. Nick closed the door behind him and made off to Felicia's team's room.

"Hmm…15,14,13,12,11…Felicia told me she was in room 9," Nick thought to himself as he approached said door.

"Hey, Felicia. You look lovely today. Well, I'm not saying you weren't pretty before. It's just that tonight you look-" Nick's rehearsals were interrupted by the door opening, revealing a cat girl in a glittery violet dress.

"You talk too loud," she mentioned.

"You heard me?"

"Every word." Nick literally looked like a tomato for how hard he blushed. "It's fine, Nick. Don't worry about it. Are we ready to go?"

"Pretty much, yeah. Hey, where's your teammates?" Nick asked Felicia as he glanced inside the room.

"Oh, them? They went to the Training Room. They told me they didn't want to lord their vitality anymore in any other matches. Those guys are just weird. We'll, we should probably get going," Felicia said as she closed the door behind her. "So what place did you have in mind?"

"Hmm…Don't worry about it. I know the place. It'll be like a surprise," he told her, but what he really meant was: "I don't even know where we are going! Anna never told me!"

The two managed to find the exit of the arena. When they got out, they were astounded by the scenery: the illuminated city, the many citizens that greeted them, and the many shops and restaurants all around them. When Nick put his hands in his pockets,he felt something in the left pocket. He took a piece of paper out, unfolded it, and read it to himself:

"Nick, I put this note into your pocket to make sure you don't forget where you're taking Felicia tonight, just in case. You need to take her to the Bon Appetit Restaurant just two blocks from our arena. Don't worry about paying. I've already got you a reservation. No matter what you order, it will all be payed off, considering you two are fighters. Good Luck! - Annabelle"

"What's that?" said Felicia as she tried to look into the paper.

"N-Nothing!" said Nick as he tore up the paper and threw the pieces away into a nearby trash bin. Felicia thought something was... fishy, but disregarded it.

"This city is beautiful! I wonder what this place is called," Felicia said, followed by many "Ooo's" and "Ahh's".

"Annabelle told me that this city is called 'Lumina City', a combined version of our Marvel and Capcom realms. I heard that every year, they have what's called a 'Light Festival' inside and outside the arena. They say that whichever couple stays by the fountain at the nearby park and watches the annual lighting of the arena, they will be destined to live happily ever after," Nick informed Felicia as they walked down the sidewalks together. Felicia literally had heart on her eyes after hearing what Nick said.

"Oh, my gosh. That's so romantic. I sure hope that could happen to me someday," she replied while wrapping her arms around Nick's body.

"Y-Yeah... Me too..." he told her as he blushed. As the two walked to the Bon Appetit Restaurant, many citizens clapped for them and congratulated them for their victories earlier that day. After a 10-minute walk, they managed to reach the restaurant.

"Wow! This place looks really fancy! I didn't think we would come to a place like this!" Felicia exclaimed as she admired the decor on the outside of the restaurant.

"Me neither..." Nick said under his breath. The lawyer opened the door for the cat girl and she sweetly thanked him as she entered. Once the two were inside, they couldn't believe how beautiful all the displays were: crystalized chandeliers, delicious food, elegant silverware and china, and amazing orchestrated music coming from the live musicians from across the room. Nick went right to the counter and rand the bell on it.

"Good evening, Monsieur. How may I assist you on zis fine evening?" questioned the employee behind the counter.

"Umm, hello. My name Phoenix Wright. I believe I have a reservation for two," he replied while pointing to both himself and Felicia. The employee scanned the two of them very carefully and came to realization.

"Oh! You are Phoenix Wright and Felicia!" the employee exclaimed. The two nodded in unison. "I must say, your teams put on quite ze show today! Many stores and restaurants closed just to see ze performances. Come. I will escort you two to your table."

Within minutes, Nick and Felicia were laughing and eating together.

"I swear, I just can't stand Maya sometimes. She kept whining about me not letting her keep one stray cat in my office. No matter how many times I told her that I didn't want it there, we ended up keeping it in the end until we could find a home for it," Nick informed her. Felicia began to giggle.

"Cats aren't that bad, Nick. Just don't let them on the couch, or else they'll scratch everything up!" Felicia replied while nibbling on her uncooked, regular fish on a salad.

"I've been meaning to ask, considering you're part cat, part woman, do cats really have nine lives?" Nick asked before he took a bite of his veggie burger, considering Maya has made him love almost every burger in existence. Felicia leaned close to Nick and kept her yes locked on him.

"Don't believe those rumors," she began. "Cats don't really have nine lives. They are just very lucky at times. I have the bruises to prove it!"

Nick chuckled a bit at the statement.

"Hehe. I see. Felicia, I wanted to tell something," Nick started.

"Yes? What is it, Nick?" Felicia questioned.

"Felicia, I know we've only seen each other for a couple of days, but I think I'm actually developing feel-" Nick's confession was interrupted when he looked at his drink. He saw that the liquid shook every second. He felt occasionally light rumbling, as if they were footsteps.

"Nick, what's wrong?" Felicia asked him as she noticed a slight change of his face.

"Don't you feel that? It feels like tiny earthquakes."

"I don't feel anything." Nick looked around to see if anyone else noticed the rumbles, but everyone and everything was just the way it was before.

"It's probably nothing," Nick said after a sigh.

He was very wrong about there being nothing wrong.

In an instant, the glass doors at the entrance shattered and crumbled, revealing a ferocious monster who looked to be about 20 feet tall. Customers and employees screamed and ran for their lives after seeing the hideous creature. The monster growled as he scanned the inside of the restaurant.

"What the hell is that?!" Nick practically screamed as he saw the monster. Felicia was just as confused at first, but she then realized who the creature really was.

"Wait a second... I've seen this thing before! He's one of the contestants in the tournament! That's Nemesis!" yelled Felicia. Nemesis looked around and spotted Felicia and Phoenix. He lifted the giant rocket launcher he held in his right arm and aimed it at the two.

"Look out!" yelled Nick. The two jumped out of the way as the incoming rocket hit the table and exploded. "Why is it coming for us?!"

"I don't know!" Nick looked behind the monster, only seeing the crumbled opening.

"Felicia, we need to make a break for the door!"

"Okay, then!"

The two ran towards Nemesis and separated, going around him in the process. Nemesis knew something like this would happen, so he swung his arm at the lawyer, knocking him to the farthest wall. He hit the floor with force.

"Nick!" Felicia yelled spas she stopped on her tracks. Nemesis grabbed Felicia with his open hand and growled in her face. "Ungh! Let go of me, you stupid monster!"

Nick regained consciousness and saw what Nemesis was doing to the cat girl.

"Ugh... Felicia...!" Nemesis heard Nick and decided to finish him off. With his other arm, Nemesis aimed his giant rocket launcher at the attorney. Felicia took notice of this.

"No... Please, don't kill him!" she screamed at Nemesis. The monster ignored her and shot the rocket at Phoenix. "No! Nick!"

The rocket flew directly at Nick, and he could only gasp before being hit by the rocket.

"NICK!" Felicia cried. She couldn't see Nick clearly, considering the smoke covered him entirely, but she knew he couldn't survive a rocket to the face. No matter how much she struggled, she could not break free from Nemesis. Nemesis began to walk out of the restaurant, but stopped at the sound of a voice.

"Let...her...go..." Nemesis turned around and saw a glowing light coming from the smoke. "I said, 'Let...her...GO!"

"Nick...?" Felicia couldn't believe her eyes. Phoenix Wright was alive. Nemesis growled at the lawyer and wanted him dead, so he aimed his rocket launcher once more. In an instant, Nick quickly ran to the monster and punched him in the stomach with his blue glowing fists, causing Nemesis to drop Felicia and get launched to the nearest wall outside the restaurant. Nick caught Felicia with ease.

"You okay?" Nick asked her.

"I've been better. Nick, is that really you? What happened?" she asked in return. Nick was just as confused as she was.

"I have no idea! But I don't think we have time to figure this out. We have to take this guy down!"

"Right!"

Nick placed Felicia back on her feet, and the two watched as Nemesis got back to his feet, as well. Cars stopped in front of Nemesis, blowing their horns letting him know that he needed to move, but he only looked at Nick and Felicia.

"You can create a diversion, and I'll go in for the attack, okay?" Nick formulated his plan.

"You got it!" Felicia nodded as she ran behind Nemesis at rapid speed. Nemesis turned around and looked at her. "Hey, ugly! Bet you can't catch me!"

As Felicia ran away from Nemesis, he began to follow her.

"Alright! Now's my chance!" Nick thought to himself. He ran up to Nemesis and pointed downwards with his powerful giant left hand, causing the monster to bounce off the ground. Nick launched Nemesis into the air with a mighty uppercut, followed by a strong air combo filled with powerful punches and Nemesis getting launched to the floor.

Nick landed on the floor safely and Felicia ran to him.

"Great job!" she commented.

"Thanks," he began," but it's not over yet." The two observed Nemesis standing up. When Nemesis aimed his rocket launcher, Felicia began to panic.

"C'mon! We need to move!" Felicia exclaimed as she tugged on Nick's arm.

"Hold on. I've got an idea" Nick told her. Felicia then stopped pulling. Once Nemesis got a clear shot, he shot one single rocket at the both of them. Felicia gasped and hid behind Nick. With the force of his arm, Nick literally grabbed the incoming rocket, spun around, and threw it back directly at Nemesis. Nemesis had no time to react, so he was hit by the rocket, causing him to burst into pieces.

"We did it! We won!" cheered Felicia.

"Yeah... I guess we did," Nick replied. The glowing around his body ceased entirely; he felt much weaker than before, causing him to stumble.

"Nick, are you okay?" Felicia asked as she caught him in time.

"I'll be fine. My body just feels much weaker after that fight. I need to find out what that glowing around my body meant," Nick replied.

"Don't worry! I'll help you!"

Nick smiled at the cat girl. He walked over to the many pieces of flesh and guts and looked around for any clues.

"What are you looking for, Nick?" Felicia questioned.

"Anything that can explain Nemesis's appearance here and why he was trying to kill us." Phoenix looked around once more and noticed something sticking out of cloth rag, shining brightly. "What's this?"

Nick picked up a cell phone with a large "W" on the back.

"What is it, Nick?" Felicia asked as she looked over his shoulder. Nick observed the phone closely.

"A cell phone... with a 'W' on the back. What could this mean?"

"That creature was a nuisance. I knew he wouldn't be able to kill them," said the man in the trench coat as he looked at the over-sized computer screen in front of him.

"Then what was the point of releasing the Nemesis T-Type, Wesker?" the dark figure on the screen asked.

"It was only to get that lawyer to show his hidden power a bit more, that's all," replied Albert Wesker. "I feel as though he may be trouble to us in the future, so we must analyze him more and find his weaknesses."

"Then you best get on that. You must eliminate him as well as anyone that may be on his side."

"Of course, my lord," Wesker replied with a slight bow.

"When everyone is eliminated, this world will be mine. Get to work, Wesker," the figure said before the screen clicked off. Wesker turned around looked at the many containment pods around him.

"That's what you think, Galactus," Wesker said to himself. "Everything's going according to plan. When everyone turns their attention to the tournament and Galactus, Uroboros will be released throughout the world. I will rule this world. I will become a GOD."

Author's Note: Well, there you have it, folks. Phoenix Wright has unlocked a hidden power, and Galactus wants to get rid of him so nothing will get in the way of his plans. However, Wesker has plans of his own... What will happen in the future? Stay tuned to find out! Thanks for reading and have an awesome day!
