Remember… I'm GM not JK.
The Fat Lady swung open with a indignant huff as Sirius stormed into the Gryffindor Common Room closely followed by the Marauders who has scampered away after the verbal battering they had received from the bushy haired new girl. Remus had looked ashamed since the moment her lips had opened whereas James had yet to return to a normal colour. Sirius however… he had yet to stop ranting.
"HOW DARE SHE! Just strolling in here thinking she can scare us into changing our ways, the insufferable-'
"Sirius"
"- Walking around like she owns the bloody place, standing up for that futile worthless piece of death eater sc-"
"Sirius!'
'Maybe she's one of them! She must be, ready to kill all of us! making me look like a fool! a bully?! the conniving like bitc-"
"SIRIUS!"
In all of there years of friendship, James Potter had never shouted at his best friend, not until that night.
"Its all very well coming in here ranting and raving about her! But she had a point! What better are we that 'Death Eater Scum' when we torture people within our own home?!"
Silence fell upon the Gryffindor Common room, before Remus Lupin decided it was time to calm the feuding friends.
"If you ask me pads, you sound as if you fancy her"
Sirius turned several colours, making several sounds which The Marauders could only imagine belong to a Hippogriff in a rampant mating season before he stormed to his bedroom, leaving his best friends bellowing in laughter behind him.
Hermione woke up the next morning to the disgruntled yelling of Lily shouting at her alarm clock. Grimacing as she sat up, the sun burning her eyes, Hermione thought carefully at what she was to do. Harry had mentioned changing the past, but surely that couldn't be possible, the consequences were far too great. She smiled slightly to herself as she began picking together her story, it had to be air tight and she could only hope that it wouldn't be questioned. Hermione was abruptly brought out of her deep thought by her name being called.
'HERMIONE?! HELLO?"
Shaking her head slightly, Hermione focused on the red headed girl standing with her hands pn her hips in front of her. Hermione felt herself choke up slightly when she met the emerald green eyes of her best friends mother; now to be her best friend.
"Sorry!, I was somewhere else for a moment there' Lily grinned before sitting crossed legged on the bed next to her.
"How did you end up here then? Your last name holds some intriguing questions!'
Hermione's eyes widened as she took a deep breath before starting her now life story.
When the Marauders opened their eyes blearily into the morning light streaming through their dorm curtains, the first thing they did was cringe at the public humiliation they had been through the previous day. James sat up and looked towards his best friends bed opposite him, only to find the fuming teenager missing. Frowning, James got up and headed to the bathroom. He knew from previous experience that sometimes it was better to leave Sirius to one of his rages than to intervene.
Sirius walked slowly around the Hogwarts grounds, he was currently coming up to the Lake and he couldn't get rid of the sense of foreboding he was having. His friends comments rung in his ears from the night before. Was his anger really at her, or at her anger towards him. Being called a bully rung too true of what he would often refer to his blood family as. Merlin help him, he knew his cousin Bella was an absolutely horrendous woman. He had strived fro so long to distinguish himself from the 'Noble House of Black' but was he really just as bad as them.
Sirius sighed, his air coming out as a puff of smoke in the morning frosty air as he skimmed a stone across the calm lake leaving ripples, making a decision.
Sirius Black was better than that rotting house and its occupants, and he would prove that to the now skeptical Hogwarts Community. But first, he had yet to discover the mysteries of Hermione Peverell.
