Erm, hi there. I have been MIA for a while now. Life is busy. Life is Shrek. I actually read Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and it kind of reignited my love for writing fanfiction. I liked writing this fanfic, so here is some more!

Chi-Chi sullenly stepped on the scales in the bedroom with her eyes closed, taking a deep breath and preparing for the worst. She had been thin pretty much her entire life so the extra weight she was gaining was hard to adjust to. She gently rubbed the bump forming, its presence becoming more noticeable every day. She opened her eyes and nodded to herself to confirm that the number was bigger than what it was when she weighed herself five minutes before.

Chi-Chi sat her on her dressing table, dragging an eyeliner pencil clumsily across her eyelids. She then picked up the lipstick tube and twisted the bottom to make the red stick emerge and then brushed it across her lips, the colour like bright cherries. She picked up a tiny brush, the size of a toothpick, and dipped it into a colour palette, choosing the green colour and painted it all around her eyes. She looked at the mirror, as if waiting for its approval. Her ears picked up the sound of her father's booming footsteps approaching, the door opened.

"Chi-Chi, have you seen the spatula? I want to make some eggs," he asked.

Chi-Chi turned around slowly to face her father. His eyes widened and he gasped.

"What happened to your face, dear?"

"Does it look bad?" Chi-Chi asked him, hurt by his reaction.

"Bad? No, it just…looks different."

He entered the room, worriedly looking at Chi-Chi. He saw a magazine next to her hand and picked it up. It was glossy with a picture of an attractive woman posing alluringly.

"I found that and I read it and it said that wearing make-up can make you look more beautiful. I thought that was why Goku hasn't married me yet, because I'm not beautiful enough."

The Ox-King sighed and tossed the magazine out of the window.

"Chi-Chi, you are very beautiful, just like your mother. And Goku, well he seems like he's distracted easily."

Chi-Chi groaned. She admitted to herself that her father was right, Goku was distracted by one thing or another. She hoped that if she and Goku ever did get married, he will change and become more attentive. She smiled sadly at her father, who reached into his pocket and pulled out a handkerchief. She took it and began dabbing her face.

"You don't determine whether I'm beautiful or not!" Chi-Chi yelled, grabbing the scales and the lurching towards to the window. She threw the scales out the window and felt a rush of gratification.

"Yikes!" Goku called from outside. Chi-Chi forgot that he was taking a nap outside as it was a warm day. She briskly walked out of the room and made way to the front door. Outside, she found Goku looking at the scales on the ground, puzzled. The scales had been smashed to pieces.

"Sorry about that, I got a little emotional."

"I can tell," Goku chuckled.

"This baby is making be become bigger and heavier. I can forget about maintaining beauty when I'm fat."

"Beauty? What? You'll always be beautiful, not matter how big you are."

Chi-Chi dropped her gaze, smiling shyly.

"And heavier? I bet I can still lift you above my head, watch!"

"Oh there's no need for you to convince- ah!"

Before Chi-Chi could finish, Goku picked her up in his arms and lifted her up, pushing her up above his head with ease. She shrieked, but laughed happily. She patted her stomach, knowing that the bigger she got, the closer their child was to coming into their lives.
