Hey guys sorry for leaving you hanging I was really busy with work this last week, but now I'm back and I promise to update with a few chapters this week
Beth bit her lip waiting for Noah to say something anything for that matter. He just stood there in shock. "Say something anything?" she said looking up at him making the same nervous face as Quinn.
Noah Puckerman couldn't believe he was staring at his daughter she was definitely all grown up. He couldn't believe it he could cry as a small smile came across his face. He lightly brushed his hand against her hair to make sure she was real. Her eyes they were definitely his. "You have my eyes?" he smiled.
Beth took a deep breath she didn't want to cry. "I do?" she sniffled. She knew she just met the man, but she already felt like they had a connection.
Noah instantly took his baby girl in his arms kissing the top of her head. "Yeah you do," said trying not to cry himself as he rubbed her back.
Beth pulled away looking up at her dad. "So mom doesn't know I'm here," she said biting her lip. "I found your YouTube and saw your cover of 'Beth' and I just needed to know the truth," she started to ramble.
"Why don't we sit down and talk," he said knowing she probably had a lot of questions.
Beth nodded in agreement. They sat down at the table where Beth had originally sat. "So I really don't even know where to begin," she said looking at her father.
"You can tell me about yourself and your life," he said wanting to make her as comfortable as possible.
"Okay, well I love to sing, play guitar, cheer, and I am a straight A student," she started and continued to tell her life story. Noah was amazed with her accomplishments although he wish he could have been there along the way. He was happy at least Shelby raised her right. Then he started to think of Quinn missing out on this opportunity she was supposed to be here in Lima with him, but of course their relationship wasn't in a good spot at the moment. Things could be different now though.
"That's amazing Beth," he said as smiled as a proud dad, "Shelby has done a good job with you."
Beth blushed a little looking down biting her lip. "You know when I was in the first grade I found a picture you drew for me. The clown pig one. It's actually hanging up in my room right now back in New York," she said with a small giggle.
"I still can't believe Shelby kept that thing," he said with a chuckle. "I would have sworn she would have gotten rid of anything that was reminder of me after what happened".
Beth's smile dropped and she looked confused. "What do you mean?"
"It's a long story that Shelby should probably tell you," Noah said realizing he probably shouldn't have said. He didn't know what Shelby had told Beth about the adoption especially if Beth was sneaking around to find him of all people.
"Is it what happened have to do with you leaving me?" Beth asked looking up at Noah.
Noah sighed running his hand through his military haircut. "I never wanted to leave you Beth and I had no choice I was a kid who could barely take care of myself," he stated.
"Was it because mom was your teacher and you didn't want her to get in trouble for what happened between you guys?" Beth asked not realizing what was coming out of her mouth. It still grossed her out that she could possibly be the outcome of a teacher student affair.
"Shelby was never my teacher," Noah started to say he was about to tell her about Quinn, but it wasn't the right time. He sighed, "Can we meet tomorrow Beth? I want to show you something."
"I have a cheer competition tomorrow at McKinley, but if you want to come and then show me what you want to show me we can do that," Beth said wanting to know what he wanted to show her. "We just have to be careful mom, Rachel, and Sam don't see us."
Noah couldn't believe it Berry and Evans were close with his kid and didn't tell him about. "Sounds good I'll meet you in the choir room tomorrow after you get off the mat".
"I'll see you then," Beth said getting up to leave.
Noah got up to leave as well giving his daughter a hug goodbye. "I'm happy you found me Beth," he said kissing the top of her head.
"I am too dad," Beth said looking up at her father it still sounded weird coming out of her mouth. "It's okay if I call you that right?"
"Of course," Noah said as they pulled apart from the hug. He had his little girl back "I am your dad after all."
Noah was lying in the bed in the bedroom he had grown up in. It was the room him and Quinn shared when the truth about him being Beth's real father came out. He missed her so much and he knew it was late, but she needed to know. He pulled out his phone and dialed the familiar number hoping she would pick up.
Quinn was snuggled up when she heard the phone ring it was about 2:00am when she looked at the alarm clock. She saw the number it was Noah. Quinn's first thought was he was drunk or there was emergency. She bit her lip debating whether or not to answer. She did really miss him.
"Hello?" Quinn said with a yawn answering the phone hoping he would just let her go back to bed.
"I'm surprise you answered." Puck said he had missed the sound of her voice.
"Well it is 2am what's going on is everything okay?" she asked with a sigh noticing a difference in his tone.
"It would be perfect if you were here in Lima….I have to tell you something Quinn," he said with a sigh.
Quinn began to worry as she sat up in bed, "What is it Noah? You're not getting deployed again are you?" she said biting her lip she didn't want him to leave again not when things were so shaky between the two of them.
"No I'm not getting deployed again not yet anyways, but Quinn she found me," Noah said.
"Who found you Puck?" she asked running her hand through her hair wanting to hear him say it as a single tear ran down her face.
He took a deep breath, "Beth."
