Chapter four

Teachings and rivals

The sun once more rose over the ancient and mighty Pridelands revealing the multitude of colour and it's new inhabitants the deer. Sepia the Great Prince made his sixteenth patrol of his new realm while smaller than the Great Forest still provided his herd and most importantly his son a home. He soon spots the strange colorful bird Zazu and sighs remembering that his son and the other fawns were to go with the Druid and learn about this strange new land with the lion cubs.

Zazu soon lands and gives Sepia a polite bow "Good morning your Highness." He said to the larger mammal who nods back before he turns to the twelve fawns that were of age to explore without their mothers including his son, Faline, and the troublemaker Ronno. The old deer entered the crashed Man machine and smiles as he sees his son still asleep before he bops his son softly.

The young prince groans but soon wakes up when he sees his father. "Dad... Uuuhnnn... What is it?" He asked as he shook his head.

"It is time for you to learn how to awake the herd Son." He said as he nudged his son up who soon stands up next to his herd. "Today is the day for you to produce your awakening bugle." Sepia said as he looked down to his son.

"Awakening bugle?" He asked confused by the name while his father gave out a small chuckle. "Indeed son. It is a small duty for a Prince to wake his herd at the correct time during major events such as now. Now take a deep breath and slowly let it out with a cry with me." Sepia instructed his son who took a deep breath with him and together:

"AaaUuuhhhnnn!" The two cried out into the morning air causing their herd to slowly awaken while a few of the more rebellious fawns grumbled at the Princes.
