Thirty minutes later, Mulder walked downstairs while carrying his child in his arms. Storm was mumbling happily as she held her stuffed fox close to her. Mulder smiled at his daughter.

"Something smells good Dana," Mulder grinned as he walked into the kitchen. The woman smiled at her husband. The toddler whined at her father. Mulder smiled at Storm and set her on the floor.

"That's the roast for dinner tonight," Scully smiled as she took a bite of a strawberry. Storm saw the strawberry and started crying at her mother. Scully gave her daughter a surprised look.

"My berry!" Storm cried as she started to throw a fit. Scully knelt down next to the toddler and quieted her down. Storm whimpered and rubbed her eyes.

"Can you ask nicely?" Scully asked firmly. Storm nodded and grabbed at her mother's shirt.

"Mama, berry please?" Storm mumbled. Scully smiled and went to grab her child a strawberry. The toddler quickly followed after her mother.

"Here you go Storm. You can have more with your sandwich, okay?" Scully asked her daughter as she handed her a strawberry. Storm nodded and ate the fruit happily.

"I guess she's not upset with you anymore," Mulder laughed. Scully stood up and nodded. The toddler quickly reached up for her mother.

"Ready for lunch sweetheart?" Scully smiled at her daughter. Storm nodded happily. The older woman gently set her daughter down in her booster seat and gave her a plate of food.

After lunch Storm was trying to watch TV, while her mother held her close. The toddler whined at her mother when she was being held too tightly.

"Stormy, it's nap time soon," Scully tried explaining. Storm shook her head and hugged her fox close to her.

"Not tired Mama," Storm whined. Scully loved on her child and watched the TV. Storm mumbled happily as they watched a show about animals. Mulder soon walked into the room.

"Daddy!" Storm became excited when she saw her father. Mulder grinned and walked over to the girls. Storm held up her fox for her father. Mulder smiled and took the fox from his daughter.

"Stormy, it's naptime," Mulder said as he tried to collect his daughter from his wife. Storm shook her head and turned towards her mother. Scully gave her husband a look.

"She's refusing Mulder. I'm sorry, we probably won't be able to have time alone today," Scully explained. Mulder smiled and nodded.

"It's okay Dana. At least she's wanting to spend time with you now," Mulder grinned. Scully smiled and nodded in agreement. Storm mumbled happily as she watched the TV.

"Scoot over," Mulder demanded firmly. Scully looked up at her husband with a surprised look on his face. Mulder was smirking.

"What? Why? There is no room on this chair Mulder," Scully explained. Mulder grinned, scooted his wife over, and climbed on the chair with her.

"Fox William Mulder! What the hell are you doing?" Scully yelled at her husband. Mulder snuggled on his wife happily. Their child cried unhappily. Scully shushed the toddler.

"Mulder you ass!" Scully smacked her husband. Mulder kissed on Scully happily. The older woman laid her head against her husband's head.

"I love you," Mulder said happily. Scully smiled at her husband.

"I love you too, you idiot," Scully laughed. Storm yawned and pushed on her mother. Mulder smiled at his child.

"Do you want to take a nap with Mama and Daddy today?" Mulder spoke softly to his daughter. Storm shook her head unhappily. The older man smiled and gave his daughter her fox back.

"Fox!" Storm said happily. Mulder smiled straight at his child. Storm mumbled as she played with her toy. The older man kissed on his child. Scully yawned suddenly.

"Mama," Storm whined. Scully shushed her daughter and held her close.

"Mama is tired. Are you tired?" Scully asked softly. Storm shook her head and grabbed onto her father's nose. Mulder smiled at the child.

Scully gave up trying to convince her daughter to take a nap. The woman snuggled into her husband the best she could and held her child close to her. Soon the three of them fell asleep.

Storm awoke a couple hours later. The small child looked up at her parents. Mulder and Scully were watching the TV as Scully held her close. Storm whined and pushed on her mother.

"Hi Stormy. How was your nap sweetheart?" Scully spoke softly. Storm looked around and rubbed her eyes. Mulder brushed his daughter's hair out of her eyes.

"Fox," the toddler whined looking for her toy. Mulder smiled and gave his daughter her stuffed fox. Storm quickly hugged the toy close to her.

"Come on. I gotta change you," Scully yawned as she got off the chair. Storm mumbled unhappily as her mother carried her upstairs. The older woman kissed on her daughter happily.

"Mama park," Storm asked hopefully. Scully looked down at her daughter then looked outside.

"No Stormy. Not today. It's raining, look," Scully explained to the toddler. Storm nodded unhappily. Scully smiled and kissed on her daughter. Storm looked at her mother and played with her mother's hair.

As the two walked into the bedroom, Scully noticed the window was opened slightly. She sighed, walked over to the window, set her daughter on the floor, and closed the window.

"Mama," Storm reached up for her mother. Scully shushed her daughter, locked the window, and went to grab her daughter a new diaper. The toddler quickly followed after her mother and grabbed onto her pant leg.

"Mama up," Storm started to become a bit demanding. Scully picked the child up, carried her over to the changing table and laid her down on it. Storm started to become upset.

"Hang on Stormy. I can't carry you all the time," Scully explained as she changed her daughter. Storm hugged her fox close to her and pouted. The woman smiled and kissed on her daughter.

"Mama, snack?" Storm looked at Scully. Scully nodded and finished changing her diaper. When they were finished, Scully set her daughter on the floor, held her hand and led her back downstairs.

When they arrived in the kitchen Storm went and tried to open the fridge. Scully smiled and gently scooted Storm to the side. The toddler whined at her mother.

"You need to wait," Scully said as she pulled out some apple juice. Storm followed her mother as she collected a bag of teddy grahams and poured the apple juice into a sippy cup. The toddler whined and reached up for her snack.

Scully smiled at her child and walked over to the table. Storm quickly followed after her mother again. The older woman set the snack on the table, then helped her daughter onto the chair.

"Crackers!" Storm said happily. Scully smiled, sat next to her daughter, and opened her crackers for her. Storm quickly grabbed at a cracker and ate it. Scully smiled and kissed her daughter happily.

"For you Mama," Storm mumbled happily as she shared a couple crackers with her mother. Scully smiled proudly. Storm had issues sharing unless she was prompted too.

"Thank you Stormy!" Scully told her daughter happily. Storm made some happy noises as she drank her juice. The older woman ate her crackers.

Later that evening Scully was playing with her daughter, while her husband was upstairs working. The toddler was holding her stuffed penguin close to her, while her mother had a plastic horse. Soon, the toddler was rubbing her eyes.

"Mama, tired," Storm whined unhappily. Scully shushed her daughter and tried to play with her daughter some more. Storm grabbed onto her mother's hand. Scully picked her daughter up and held her close.

"Do you want some juice sweetheart?" Scully asked softly. Storm shook her head. The woman glanced at the clock. It was only seven in the evening.

"Do you want to watch a movie with Mama?" Scully pushed. The toddler shook her head. Scully sighed. She didn't want her child going to bed so early.

"Stormy, do you want your Daddy?" Scully asked. Storm looked up at her mother and nodded.

"Want my Daddy," Storm mumbled. Scully snuggled on her child gently as she stood up to walk upstairs. Storm hugged her penguin close to her and watched her mother.

"Hey hun," Scully knocked gently as she entered the office. Mulder looked up at his wife and smiled. Storm reached for her father.

"Hey kiddo. I love you," Mulder spoke softly as he took his daughter from his wife. Storm nodded happily and looked at her mother. Mulder hugged his child close to him and cuddled on her.

"My Daddy," Storm mumbled happily as her father held her close. Scully pulled up a chair and laid on her husband. The woman watched her daughter as Storm played with her penguin.

"Mama bed," Storm looked up at her mother. Scully sighed.

"No Stormy. It's too early," Scully explained. Storm shook her head. Mulder looked up at his wife.

"Scully, maybe she didn't nap well today?" Mulder tried to suggest. Scully sighed. Mulder gave his wife a small smile.

"Fine. Let's put her to bed, but if she wakes up, you're dealing with her," Scully explained firmly to her husband. Mulder smiled and nodded as he got up from his chair to head to his child's room. Scully followed closely after.

"Hey Dana, did you leave the window open in here?" Mulder asked as he stepped into the bedroom. Scully shook her head and looked to see what her husband was talking about.

"No, I closed and locked it earlier when I changed her after her nap," Scully explained. Mulder gently handed his daughter over to his wife and went to fix the window.

"Did you know the lock was broke on the window?" Mulder asked as he tried to fix it. Scully shook her head and approached her husband.

"Mama no," Storm cried at her mother. Scully looked at her daughter and shushed her. The toddler pushed on her mother unhappily. Mulder took his daughter from his wife.

"Stormy it's time for bed," Mulder explained to his daughter. Storm shook her head. Mulder snuggled on his daughter.

"Daddy your bed," Storm whined. Mulder looked over at his wife. Scully groaned.

"Fine Storm, you can sleep with us tonight," Scully sighed. Storm mumbled happily as she grabbed onto her father's shirt. Mulder smiled at his wife and went to their bedroom.

In the middle of the night, Storm was awoken by some unusual noises. The toddler slowly sat up and looked around. When she didn't see anything, she picked up her fox and held it close.

Mulder snored suddenly and startled the toddler. Storm whined at her father but he remained asleep. Scully rolled over away from her daughter. The toddler looked around the room again.

Storm soon heard someone walking down the hall. They opened and shut a couple doors before they got close to the master bedroom. Storm quickly laid down and pushed her way into her father's arms. Mulder groaned and held his child close to him.

The door slowly opened to the bedroom. Storm quickly shut her eyes and tightened her grip on her father's shirt. Someone hovered over the bed for a few moments, then left the room. Storm tried getting closer to her father.

The next morning, when Mulder awoke, Storm was pressed right up against him sleeping. The older man yawned and tried to sit up. His child still had a tight grip on his shirt. The man laid back down and loved on his child.

"Mmm Dada," Storm cried as she was woken up. Mulder snuggled on his child and watched her. Storm looked around for her fox.

"Morning Storm," Mulder said happily. Storm let go of her father and slowly sat up. Mulder sat up and smiled at his daughter. The toddler grabbed at her fox and held it close.

"Hungry Daddy," Storm mumbled happily as she looked up at her father. Mulder nodded, got off the bed, collected his daughter, and went downstairs.

When the man arrived downstairs he noticed the back door was open. Storm had her arms wrapped around her father's neck, holding onto him tightly. Mulder closed and locked the back door before he went to make his daughter breakfast.

After breakfast, Mulder was upstairs taking a shower, while Scully sat on the couch reading a book. Storm was playing with her toys on the floor. Suddenly Storm went up to the window and looked outside. The toddler mumbled unhappily.

"What's the matter Storm?" Scully asked as she set her book down. Storm whined and pointed at the construction workers again. Scully smiled and got off the couch to see what her daughter was pointing at.

"Stormy, I told you a couple days ago, they're working on the road," Scully explained as she kissed on her child. Storm shook her head and kept watching the men. Storm had a bad feeling about them and was frustrated with her parents since they didn't understand what was going on.
