Chapter Three, Sophie's pov I look at the injured Windflyer. We needed to get it to Sky's house, but how? I doubt either of us could carry an adult dragon. Unless it's a Dendroid of course. Then I think of something. "It'll be risky, but maybe one of us can carry it back home," I say.
He looks like he's starts to think. "Maybe. The back of my house is next to the woods. It's just that stretch of land that'll be troublesome. I'll carry it, you keep an eyes out, okay?," he says. I nod.
Sky walks a bit away from me and the Dragon, then starts to glow. He becomes enveloped in a bright light, and we are momentarily unable to see him. The light disappears, revealing Sky as a Royal. The dragon we do not know gives a slight roar, as if it is amazed. Sky walks over and carefully picks up the Dragon, being about twice the size of it, and start walking off in a direction with me following.
We eventually come to the back of a neighborhood, and Sky leads me to one of the houses. I open the gate, and he goes through (barely) with me following. I close the gate and Sky gently places the Dragon back on the ground. As Sky changes to human again, I go over and start stroking the dragon's head.
It looked about ready to fall asleep. I start singing a lullaby and it slowly closes its eyes, falling asleep. "So, who do you think it is? It must know us," I say.
"I don't know. But, something I find interesting, is that this dragon appeared not long after Jason ran off. Remember how we found his helmet laying there?," he responds.
"A-Are you saying what I think you're saying?," I gasp. He nods.
"I think this is Jason."
Jason's pov
At the sound of my name, I open my eyes. Sky and Sophie were looking at each other, and then they look at me. "Is that you Jason?," Sky asks. I shrink back a bit and nod. "Well, you'll be staying here until you are able to turn back again." It's another thing for when your transformation spell gets overpowered. You can't change back for a while.
"How long do you think he'll be like this?," Sky asks.
"I'd say a week at the most. This is going to be hard to hide," Sophie answers.
"Think you can walk?," Sky asks. I slowly stand up. I was shaking a bit, but I was still standing. I look at him and nod. "Well, how about you come inside, before it gets too cold." We all go inside the house.
"So, where is that spare bedroom?," Sophie asks. "It's upstairs, down the hallway, second door to the left," Sky says. He then turns to me. "Jason, you'll be sleeping in my room, if that's okay." I nod. It's then I realise it's starting to get dark.
"Anyone hungry?"
"I am," Sophie says. I just slap my tail on the ground and roar. The others laugh and I snort. Then, I remember something. Ty!
I roar a bit, and they look at me. "What is it?," Sky asks. I look around and I see the wall of photos he has, and I spot one with Ty, Sky and I in it. I walk over and nudge it with my nose. "Oh. The picture?" I shake my head.
"It's a picture of you, Jason, and..." She trails off, she had never met Ty.
"Ty," Sky finishes. "Is it something about Ty?" I nod. "What?" I look around and I see a glossary of dragons on his bookshelf. I grab it and pull it out. Somehow, I manage to flip to the page that has a Lavascale on it and I roar at it. Sophie walks over and looks at the Dragon. "Why did you flip to a Lavascale?"
"A Lavascale..." Sky says quietly. He walks over and looks at the description. "Red eyes... sensitive hearing... might go deaf..." He read quietly to himself, then gasps. "Ty is a Lavascale! He ran off because when Sophie roared, he lost his hearing and would have to tell us about his sensitive hearing, then we would find out he is a dragon. He thought we would be mad and attack him, or kill him." I nod.
"He's home alone right now, isn't he?," Sophie asks. I nod again. "We should get him."
"But he won't let us in, will he?," Sky asks. I shake my head. "Hmm... maybe, you can go up to his window and wait until he looks. When he looks, hopefully he will let you in. We can plan from there."
"Time to sneak around again. Let's go," Sophie says.
We finally get to Ty's house with only a few close calls. Sky and Sophie keep watch while I go over to Ty's window and look in.
He was reading a book, so I blow a bit of fire, just to make a change of lighting in the room, and he looks up. When he sees me, and he knew it was me because I was holding my helmet in my mouth, he smiles and opens the window.
I roar over to Sky and Sophie, and Ty looks panicked when he sees them. I shake my head, meaning that it's okay. They're with us.
Sky takes a book and quill that he brought and writes in it, then showing to Ty that it says, 'Ty. It's fine. We aren't mad. How can we be mad at another dragon? Especially if they are our friend. This is Sophie. She's that Royal that made you lose your hearing. I'm also a Royal, and you already know about Jason. Come to my house with us. Me and Sophie can help the two of you.'
"O-okay," he says before climbing out. He closes his window and starts following us to Sky's house. "So... what's with Jason?"
Sophie writes the answer this time. 'His transformation spell was overpowered. I don't know what happened afterward with his wings though.'
"He can tell us when I get my hearing back and when he is back to human," Ty says. I nod and we continue walking in silence.
We finally get back to Sky's house and Sky gets to cooking dinner. Sophie goes to her bedroom to get settled in. Sky looks at me. "Hey Jason. Show Ty the other guest bedroom that he'll be staying in."
I nod and walk over to Ty. I nudge him and he looks at me. "Oh hey Jason. What's up?" I shake my hug and start pushing him to the stairway. He starts going upstairs with me following.
Ty's pov About six days later, the four of us (Jason was back to normal) decided to go out and walk around. Though I couldn't hear, I still said, "We would decide to walk around when there is a crowd." I see the others laugh and I laugh too.
We cross a road with at least twenty other people. I look to where the others used to be afterward, and they weren't there. I frantically start looking around for them.
I had run around the corner of a building when I run into someone and we fall. I sit up and rub my head when I notice the person was a girl. The papers she had been holding where scattered around. Luckily, the crowd had died down, so they weren't being trampled, and neither were we.
I see her say something and I start to panic a bit. She says it again, and I shake my head, showing her I can't hear. "I can speak, but can't hear," I say. She nods.
She then grabs a piece of paper and a pencil and starts writing. She gives it to me, and I read, 'Sorry. I was trying to get home in a new record time.'
I look up at her and say, "No. It's my fault too. I should've watched where I was going." She starts picking up all her papers. "I'll help you."
When we finish picking up her papers and we get up, I finally take a good look at her.
She was about my skin tone with had medium length Brown hair, which had ice blue streaks and was tinted in red and gold from the sun. She was wearing jeans and a yellow top, with a blue jacket and blue, pink, and grey sneakers.
"Sorry again. I'm Ty," I say, holding out my hand. She grabs the same piece of paper from before and writes, 'I am sorry too, it's okay, and I'm Bethany. So, where were you going?' And then she shakes my hand.
"Oh yeah. I lost my friends in the crowd and I was trying to find them. I should go," I say. I start to leave but she grabs my arm. She quickly scribbles something on the paper.
'I can help. What do they look like?' I explain and we start looking for them. I feel a nudge from her after a while, and she points to where I see three people, who happen to be my friends. I see them talking, and Sky motions me to follow them. I wave bye to Bethany before following.
So. There is a new character, Bethany, Sky and Sophie know about Jason and Ty, and in the next chapter we get to know more about Bethany on a super long walk home. The next chapter is a bit of a filler chapter. Not much important stuff going on.
I also need more ideas for this story soon, and thank you all for the OC's. I'll try to get them all in if I can.
Anyways, thank you for reading this chapter of We Are The Last, and if you liked it then favorite/follow me or the story and review. You don't have to though. Won't bother me if you don't. Also check out my other stories.
By the way, does anybody know how polls work?
Bye!
