"Come on Finn, everyone is going to be there!" Marceline whines over the phone.

"I don't know, Marcy. High school parties aren't my thing."

"It's not just a party, it's my birthday! Plus, my 'rents are going to be gone and there's going to be free booze."

"Marcy, you know I don't drink."

"That's true," she takes a pause, "but there will be good music."

"All music is good music, it's just a matter of opinion."

"It's not even a party, it's more of a hangout. You know just you, me, and a couple dozen people in a hot tub." She's really trying her hardest to get me to come.

"Your parents are letting you use the tub?" I ask

"Who cares, they'll be gone."

"What if they come home?"

"They won't; they're on their way to Maui as we speak."

"How'd you get them tickets?" Marcy's wide range of connections always astounds me.

"I won the freaken lottery," she says in a sarcastic voice, "Finn, who cares! You are like my best friend and you have to come otherwise I won't be happy."

I plop down on the bed. I can hear Marcy's breathing through the phone. I know she's waiting for a response but I really don't want to go to a party. They were loud and crowded and always got out of control.

"Who else is going to be there?" I make an attempt to sound a little interested.

"The usual crowd, you know, Bonnie, the LSPs, the twins, some kids from school and Fionna." I bolt upright in bed as soon as I hear her name. I move toward the window where Jake is sleeping soundly. Next door, the light in Fionna's room is on. The curtains are closed but they are see through. A figure keeps darting back and forth in the room. I let out a forfeit sigh.

"What do you want me to bring?"

"Nothing, except your sexy self!" Marcy squeals in pure joy. "Oh and a swimsuit, hurry up and get here so you can help me mix drinks." I look out the window again, the figure has stopped moving but the light is still on.

"Fine, I'll be there in a bit." I move away from my window and start looking through my drawers.

"Wicked! You are seriously the best! I swear if I didn't like girls, I'd be all over you, sweetness."

"Haha, well there's no way I can miss my best friend's 18th birthday party."

"Damn right you can't! Oh Bonnie just got here, gunna go 'kay?"

"Yeah, okay," I grab some swimming trunks out of the drawer and get my jacket and keys, "I'll be on my way" I hang up the phone and toss it on the bed. Booze and high school girls in swimsuits, it didn't even begin to spell major trouble. But that ought to make for a fun and unpredictable night, especially if Fionna was going to go.

Marcy's house was only twenty minutes away from mine. I decided to make a quick stop at the corner store to get her a small gift. When I arrived Bonnibel and Marcy still hadn't changed into their swimsuits.

"Hey!" Marceline pulls me into a bear hug. Bonnie gives me an irritated look which is her way of saying hello.

"Hey Marcy, Bonnie," she rolls her eyes at me, "I brought a gift" I pick up the box of peach Smirnoff I'd bought, Marcy's favorite.

"Sweet, just what we need, more alcohol." I'm not sure if Bonnie sounds excited or annoyed.

"Come on, we'll put them in the cooler." Marcy leads me inside to her kitchen. "I also need you to fix up some snacks."

"Fine by me, as long as I'm not surrounded by high school dweebs I'll be fine."

Marcy rolls her eyes dramatically, "Just 'cus you're in college you think you're so cool, don't you?"

"I don't think, I know I'm cool."

She laughs, "Whatever, I'll send you an assistance in a bit to help with the drinks."

I spend a good thirty minutes fixing snacks before my assistance shows up. And when she does I can't help but stare. Fionna's looking absolutely stunning wearing her hair up in a messy, blonde ponytail. Her light blue t-shirt sticks to her slim figure like a glove. She has white short shorts on, and they marked her round bottom nicely. Her converse are neatly tied and she isn't wearing any makeup. White bikini strings show behind her neck.

"Drinks," she says and then she moves around the island, where I am and takes out two punch bowls. Quicker than I thought possible she fills the bowls with punch and goes to the cooler to get some vodka out. When she comes back to the island she has a lit cigarette between her pink, plump lips.

"Those will kill you, you know." I say before I realize how stupid and childish that sounds.

She looks at me up and down, dissecting my soul. "Ya, I know."

"So then why do you smoke?"

"Habit." She says nonchalantly. We are both quiet again. She smokes as she pours the vodka into the punch. "Haven't you ever tried one?"

"No" Once again I sound like a little kid in the presence of this goddess.

She smirks, "Here." She stops stirring to take out a box of Camel cigarettes from her back pocket. She shakes out a single smoke and hands it to me. "Place it between your lips, not your teeth and inhale, 'kay?"

I do as she tells me. As soon as the cigarette is between my lips she leans in closer to me and places the tip of her smoke to mine. I inhale a couple times before it lights. It tastes smooth and minty but I guess it goes down the wrong tube because I soon have to remove the cigarette to cough. She giggles. "You're a natural for a beginner," she puffs out some smoke, "by the way, that trick is called a smoke kiss." She pours some vodka punch into a red cup and hands it to me. "With some practice you'll be able to do cooler tricks." After pouring herself a cup, she heads outside where loud music and chatter can be heard. I follow looking like a totally drunk idiot with a goofy smile on my face.

Outside a number of people had quickly gathered. There are people everywhere, all chatting with one another. I didn't know anyone and I already lost Fionna in the crowd. Lucky for me Marceline's just a few feet away with Bonnie at her side.

"Wow, Finn, since when do you smoke?" Marceline exclaims as she sees me approaching

"It's a college thing," I say eying the pretty girls Marcy had been talking to, "Drinks and snacks are inside"

"How sinful," Marcy purrs, "I think I'll go get us some, come princess" she takes Bonnibel's hand and leads her inside, leaving me alone with the two girls.

"Enjoying the party?" I ask them, flicking my dead cigarette to the ground.

"Is that some lame college line to pick up my lumps?" The one on the right asks. She's wearing a one piece purple swimsuit. Her hair has purple streaks in it and she has a snobby attitude. Fortunately for her, the "lumps" she was talking about look like a double D and really fun to pick up. I take a swing of my drink.

"Leah," the other girl says in a soft and slow voice, "that's not something proper to say." This girl has on a green and yellow swimsuit. She isn't as round as her comrade but she is still pretty big. Her eyes gave away that she's Asian, but her olive colored skin said she was from the Philippines. She'd be sort of cute if she wasn't so shy.

"Whatever, Terrie, don't tell me what to say." The girl who's name is Leah says, "I'm gunna get a drink" They take off inside. As soon as they move away a glimpse of white catches my eye.

Fionna has taken off her t-shirt and is talking to a couple in her white bikini top and shorts. She has a different colored cup in her hand and is laughing widely, showing off her perfect pearly whites. Next to her, Marshall Lee holds a plastic cup in one hand and Fionna's waist in the other. The booze and smoke have gone to my head as I stupidly try to make my way towards them. A fiery redhead stops me before I even have a chance to reach them.

"Finn!" Flame says, "there you are, I've been looking for you" She's wearing this orange-red bikini that resembles flames; her wet hair is loose and sticking out in all directions; her mouth is moving but no words are coming out.

"What? I can't hear you!" I practically yell at her, "Let's go inside!" I grab her wrist a little rougher than I mean to and lead her inside. I stop when I get to the sliding door turning to look back. I catch Fionna's baby blues staring at me with a worried expression. I must look mean for her to give me a look like that but at the moment I don't care. I take Flame inside, but then the alcohol really gets to me and I black out.
