Chapter Two

The next morning, I had started to wake up. It was too early. I groaned softly and got out of bed. I didn't have a change of clothes, so I put back on the clothes I was wearing yesterday. Yesterday was just too crazy. It was like that I went from a normal woman to a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent overnight.. Oh wait.. I did. It was because of my heroics that I was here.. Actually, It was because of Tony Stark that I was here. Whenever I do see him again, I should thank him.

Maybe before I have to report to Fury, I could probably look around and see what I have to deal with since I might as well be staying here.. and since this became my new job. This felt like I was in some sort of dream, maybe in hopes of waking up in any minute now. But.. I guess this is actually reality. All of the memories of yesterday were coming back to me. What I didn't get was that how in the hell was I able to take down those men. Those guys were at least twice my size and would've probably killed me. I didn't know how to fight. Even if I did know, it probably had been so long. My blood was pumping and then, everything else was a blur. Again, I was thinking that it was so surreal.

I had made my way to what was outside of the Helicarrier. It was so high up in the air that I had walked over to the edge and looked down at the clouds below me. Thank god that I wasn't afraid of heights or otherwise I would've been panicing. It just felt so calm and so relaxing for some reason. Maybe because I was outside that it was quiet. It kind of beats being inside, but I needed to head inside before somebody tries to go find me.

Once I got inside, I went to go find and report to Fury. As I went into the room, he was standing there, as if he was waiting for me. He was staring at me at first. I was wondering if I had already did something or if there was something wrong. As I was about to ask what was wrong, he started to speak up.

"Can you tell me exactly what had happened yesterday?" He asked me. I had bit down on my lower lip as I was trying to think. So many things had happened in the last 24 hours. Then it had hit me. I then sighed softly.

"Well, I was on my way home from being at the library when I heard an explosion. I was starting to hear some people scream and run the other direction, so I had to follow the source. It turned out it was coming from the bank. I was going to turn around and walk away when something had stopped me. A part of me wanted to walk away, but another part of me wanted to go check it out. I was thinking briefly and then decided to go in. There were at least a group of men trying to get into the large vault. When I had gotten in, I saw that Stark was already there and aboutto face them. A few of them started to go after me. Both me and Stark took them down and after, he was about to take off and he only talked to me briefly. After that, he took off." I said.

Fury had look at me in silence at first, as if he was studying me. He then started to open his mouth to speak. "You know, what you did would've gotten yourself killed if it wasn't for Stark being there and helping you out. But, he did talk highly of you. Anyways, you will be starting your training today. You need more fighting skills in order to stop whoever is out there and doing something that is bad."

I had looked at Fury and nodded. He had then dismissed me and sent me off.
