Here's the next chapter! Thank you to those who reviewed and favorited! Without further ado:

My hands are sweating. That's so gross. What just happened there? One second he's about to cry, the next he tries to kiss me? I don't know what to say. And he pushed me out of the way so fast. What is he trying to hide? I'm just going to pretend like nothing happened, because nothing did. It's crazy how flushed I am.

I rubbed my hands against my dress casually to rid my hands of the slight moisture that drove me crazy as I listened to the Prefect's Meeting.

"Hello fellow Prefects! Congratulations on earning the spot and you should know that each and every one of you were chosen as a Prefect in the belief that you will all do a decent job at keeping this crazy school running. My name is Amelia Bones, and I am your Head Girl this Year. As a prefect, you have the power to deduct points and assign detentions as you see fit, but remember -"

My head changed direction as our Head Girl was cut off, by a not so bad looking Head Boy I presume. Yes, I just checked him out.

"With great power, comes great also to only those in your OWN house. Hello everyone, my name is Amos Diggory and I am your Head Boy this Year. Thank you very much for the introduction Bones. He flashed everyone a bright, amicable smile which was highly contagious, and flipped his neat brown hair to get it out of his eyes. Wow. How resilient am I?

Amelia Bones pushed a few brunnette strands of her hair behind her ear and stood tall, she was a kinda short girl, but everyone could sense the authority dispersing out of her. "As I was saying, you are all model students, and underclassmen will look up to you so it is your job that they are headed in the right direction. Now, as Prefects you get some benefits, like- "

"The Prefects Bathroom on the 5th floor. Very nice place. The bubbles are fun to play with." Diggory shot a thumbs up which resulted in a number of laughs, boys and girls alike.

Bones huffed, irated that she was cut off yet again. "Yes, the Bathroom as Diggory pointed out. It is the fifth door to the left of the "Statue of Boris the Bewildred" The password is 'Pine fresh' simple enough right? Also holiday times you'll all help in decorating the school, the good thing is-"

"You'll get to go to Hogsmeade with your other fellow Prefects as a reward." Diggory smiled down at Bones. She smacked his arm. Awww, kinda like how James and Lily would be if they were Head Boy and Girl.

"Let me inform you something else too little Hogwarts Minions, you have to learn to work with eachother. Something that your Head Girl is lacking. No one prefect is better than another. So, Bones and I have come up with schedules for your rounds, they shift so that your not with the same partner each time. We wanted to spice it up a little bit."

With that he handed out a timetable of our rounds to each prefect. I briefly glanced at mine, and saw the different people I would be partnered with. I'm only rounding Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Yay! I get the weekends off.

Mondays - Dungeons - Narcissa Black

Wednesdays - 7th Floor - Justin Macmillian

Thursdays- 1st Floor - Remus Lupin

Fridays - 5th Floor - Lily Evans

Not bad, not bad at all! Wow this is great! I flashed my eyes over towards Lily who was sitting across from me and saw her already dashing a smile at me. I looked over for Narcissa and I saw her glance at me and mutter the tiniest smile. Remus was looking elsewhere. A time to talk with the two people I never get to to talk to. Wait- Justin Macmillian. Hmmmm... who is that? I really don't know. Guess I'll found out on Wednesday.

Then, it happened so fast.

All I heard was a couple of scampering feet and mischevious laughter, and then all chaos. Three items were thrown into our compartment, and they sort of exploded. THE STENCH. I was actually crying. I heard the word "Dungbombs" being muttered from my fellow Prefects and forced myself to hold my breath till I could get out of the compartment.

"Well, whoever did this is not getting away! I'll assign weeks worth of detentions! Who did this!?" Bones shouted.

"Bones, we can't take away points or give detentions. The term hasn't begun yet." Diggory whispered to her.

"Right..."

"POTTER! BLACK! YOU INSUFFERABLE IDIOTS COME BACK HERE SO I CAN JINX YOU BOTH INTO OBLIVION!" Lily whipped out her wand prepared if they were to come back.

"Now now Evans, we don't want to go yelling profanity at students. You have to remain urbane, and solve the problem logically." Diggory said to Lily.

"Right. It's a personal vendetta." I chuckled. Remus was a little louder.

"Remus Lupin, it is to my knowledge that you associate yourself with the "Marauders", correct?" Head Girl Bones asked.

"Yes..." Remus uttered softly.

"Well then it is your responsibility to keep them on a tight leash am I understood?" I could see the terror in his eyes. "I'll do the best I can."

"Good. Meeting dismissed." Bones tried flattening out her hair, since it became disheveled during the raid.

I flattened out my own dress and hair, when I suddenly began coughing, and I couldn't stop. It was like the stench wouldn't leave my nostrils. Oh god, I'm going to die.

"Hey are you alright? Woah those dungbombs got you good." I could feel protective arms around me as I continued coughing, but I could feel them slowing down. I streamlined my breathing, shaking slightly. I looked up and saw an unrecognizabe face, but a handsome unrecognizable face.

I backed away a bit, out of his grasp. "I've always been a bit prone to things like dungbombs. My lungs aren't very strong. I don't have asthma or anything, it's just a sort of flaw I suppose. "I attempted to bring a smile to my face. I saw Lily in the corner of my eye too.

"Are you sure your alright? By the way, Justin Macmillian." He reached out a genial hand and I shook it like any good person would. "Saphira Cayton. You're my partner on Wednesdays, right?" So this was Macmillian.

"Mhm. Here's some water, don't choke too much, kay? I'm looking forward to Wednesday." He winked and then walked away. I saw him striding away, with his neatly combed, shiny blond hair.

"Thank you" I muttered softly. I gulped the water down as Lily ran over towards me.

"I still remember what I saw earlier you know." Lily said with her cunning little smirk.

"Lily, as I said before, it was nothing. I had to tie his tie." Deny everything.

"Your in denial, it looked like you were about to kiss-"

"LILY! Let it go! It would never work out between us! We're too different! So stop trying to make it happen! Just mind you own business for Merlins's sake!" I sort of yelled at her. God I hate it when she gets upset. She didn't deserve that.

"Fine. I'll see you tonight at 9 on the Fifth Floor." And with that she walked away. Well can this day get any more eventful?

Don't tempt fate. Like, ever.

We were finally at Hogwarts, 7 hours later. Just a bit exhausted. I saw Lily, and ran upto her, "Lily, hey- "but she just gave me the cold shoulder as she hopped into a carriage with the other Gryffindor girls. I was about to board a carriage myself when I heard a bark-like laughter. Well, there's only one person that trademark belonged to. Sirius Black. We glanced at each other briefly, before I broke contact and got into the carriage.

The Great Hall was in full spirit, it felt great to be back, really. The food was delicious as always, and 'someone' detonated fireworks at the end of Dumbledore's speech. But of course, there's no proof. Yup, it's good to be back.

Minutes passed like hours, I needed to apologize to Lily. 9pm couldn't come by faster. Finally, it did and I made my way up to the fifth floor and saw her waiting for me. "So I-"

"We should patrol this hallway first then the others and just continue going in a circle. The secondary hallway shouldn't matter, there's nothing there anyway. That seems like the best way." Lily said strictly.

"Yes but-"

"Without talking, that way we can hear rule-breakers easier and we won't miss anyone." Lily said coldly. She just needs time to calm down.

"Fine."

I had my wand at my side, and before I realized an hour had passed, without a word being muttered between us. We walking normally, when we heard the faintest giggle. I stopped in my tracks and looked at Lily. "I heard it too." We heard it again, and then a playful "Shhh".

"It's coming from the broom closet" I really did not want to open that door. I had my hand on the doorknob, but I hadn't opened it yet.

"Saphira don't open that door"

"Why shouldn't I? These people are breaking curfew."

"Fine. Go ahead."

And I did.

What I saw instantly stabbed me in the heart. For a number of reasons. Inside the closet was none other than Sirius Black, shirtless, and pantless, thank heavens he hadn't taken off his underwear. Oh but here's the good part. Marlene McKinnon. Wearing nothing but a matching red lace undergarment set.

"Oh, Siri, looks like we got caught" Marlene said in that skimpy, high pitched voice.

He kissed her face, then turned around. "Cayton? Fancy seeing you here." My blood was boiling. All I could see was red.

"Put your clothes back on, and return to your common rooms. Both of you. "

"And if I don't?" Sirius' snarky comment nearly made me jinx his face off.

"I will report this incident, and you may very well be expelled from this school! I'm sure you'd love to go back home wouldn't you Black?"

Pin drop silence.

"Oh whatever. Sirius put you clothes back on, she's only this stuck up because she's hasn't gotten further than holding hands with anyone. Honestly Cayton, you should get out more. Seriously." Her acrimonious voice could set something on fire.

"Shut up McKinnon. You don't know anything about me." She put on her skirt and shirt and exited the closet with Black."I do know that it was your apparent best friend who gave me this idea. Who ever knew Evans could be so cunning. 'Night Evans. It was a win-win for both of us." She winked at her and went back holding Sirius hand. A tear slid off my face.

"Saphira I didn't-"

"Save it! I would never hurt you. Ever!" I could barely see, my vision was blurred by the tears spilling out of my eyes.

"Well you said nothing was going on with you and Black! So why are you upset, hmm Saphira? Is it because I was right?" Lily. How could you.

"You just wanted to prove yourself right? Well then there you go." I dropped my arms to my side in defeat, then wiped the tears off of my face.

Hurt. Betrayal. Pain. I felt sick.

"You were right."

I made Lily a bit evil in this chapter, but it seemed fit. Questions, Comments Concerns? Reviews make my day and they keep me motivated!
