Chapter 4:

Percy P.O.V.

It has been a HUGE mistake of mine to follow them, and I would never, EVER make the same mistakes again. Those people are crazy. Insane. Out of their minds. I'm kind of surprise I hadn't freak out and ran away in front of those time-frozen people back in the cafeteria. Maybe I am insane.

Speaking of people, I hadn't seen any for a while now. Have they been frozen as well? I'm hope not. This is enough madness for me to tolerate in one day. The entire world is possibly frozen, and there's no one I can go to ask help for. (Well, there is my so-called 'cousins', but they are unreliable.) My life cannot possibly get any worse.

I need myself to calm down, so I tried to distract myself with my surroundings.

Okay. Okay. I can do this.

Green grass. Green trees. Wooden bench. Yellow schoolbus…

WHO AM I KIDDING?! THOSE INCREDIBLY BORING THINGS ARE NEVER GOING TO TAKE MY MIND OF THE CRAZY THINGS THAT I JUST EXPERIENCED.

What am I suppose to do? Where am I going to go? I have no idea.

"Hey! Percy! Wait up!" Nico's voice called out.

Oh no.

"Go away!" I said without turning around. How did they get here so fast?

"Nope. Not until you turn around and see what's we're doing," Thalia said.

"What's the point? You're crazy. Both of you are crazy!" I yelled at them, still not turning back. I quickened my pace. I needed to get away from them.

"Percy! Just turn around! He's really heavy you know," Thalia complained.

That's got my attention.

I turned around slowly, trying to resist the urge to turn around. I even closed my eyes to stop myself from looking.

"JUST OPEN YOUR EYES ALREADY!"

When I finally can't take it and opened my eyes…

There was nothing. There was nothing behind me. I stood there, confused. Did they trick me or something? Where did their voices come from?

"Hey! Up here!" Thalia cried. I looked up, and had to crack a smile. They look absolutely ridiculous while freaky at the same time.

Thalia was giving Nico a piggyback ride. While standing. In. The. Air.
