A/N: Sorry guys, updates will be scarce. It is what it is. I'm having formatting issues- doesn't like what I use to separate my lines; sorry about the confusion last chapter. There should have been a line between Hikaru's and Kaoru's POVs. I'm trying something new this time around but I guess we'll see. There will only be a few more chapters probably and then I have a few (very dark) one- shots that I'm working on. *THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS ELEMENTS OF NON CONSENT*

When the twins were 7 years old, their mother began to fear that they were becoming too dependent on each other. In order to rectify this situation, she elaborately decorated a bedroom designed specifically for her eldest son. The room Kaoru and Hikaru had currently shared was a collaboration of both of their personalities; however, it was Kaoru who used the room more, as that was where his books were held and he would often spend hours reading while Hikaru played video games.

Mrs. Hitachiin led her two twin boys to the room. Really, she had only called for Hikaru, but as her boys were never seen one without the other, she had ended up leading both of them down the hall to the new room.

"Hikaru, what do you think of this room?" Mrs. Hitachiin asked her son, bending down to his height as she opened the door. The room was a 7 year old boy's dream. The room was decorated in green, orange and blue and was the perfect blend of modern functionality and comfortability. There was a large tv and video game console inside the room, along with a shelf full of brand new video games. The small red headed boy even spotted a new game he'd been asking his parents for for weeks as well as several new games he was sure hadn't even been released yet.

The room spoke strongly of a science and mathematical design, and even the desk against the wall held several tools useful for the boy's interest in taking things apart and putting things back together.

Hikaru ran into the room and began to inspect things in a flurry of excitement and curiosity. Kaoru remained at the door, only poking his head in with a skeptical look on his young face.

"Kaoru, come in here! This room is awesome!" Hikaru excitedly called to his brother from across the room. He was excited about the new room and its contents and as he and Kaoru had shared everything they owned all their lives, he had automatically assumed that he and Kaoru would both be staying in that room together. As Kaoru moved to take a step into the room though, their mother held her son back with a small but sad smile.

"I'm sorry sweetie, I should have been more clear, this room is just for Hikaru. You wouldn't be interested in this kind of stuff. And those games are one player, so I'm afraid you'd get dreadfully bored just watching your brother play."

Kaoru looked up at his mother with wide eyes. In his seven year old brain, he made the connection. His mother was trying to separate them.

Mrs. Hitachiin grabbed hold of her youngest son's hand and began to lead him from the room, away from his brother.

"Come on sweetheart, we'll go to your room and we can pick out a book or draw some pictures? How about that?"

"But Hikaru likes drawing too Momma! Why can't Hika come?"

At this point, Hikaru had begun to notice that his younger brother was not in the room and in fact was being taken away from him.

"Kaoru! Mom, where are you taking Kaoru? I want him in here with me!"

The twins' mother halted in her attempt to drag her youngest son from the room and glanced back to her oldest, who was now standing in the doorway with an accusatory look upon his face. the oldest twin approached his mother and ripped Kaoru's hand from hers. He then led his brother back to the room and without another word, shut the door.

Their mother stood outside in the hallway frozen in surprise.

Inside the room, Hikaru had taken a firm hold of his brother's shoulders.

"No one will take you away from me Kaoru? Ok?

Kaoru snuggled into his brother's embrace and leant his cheek on Hikaru's chest. He didn't care where they were, as long as they were together.

...

"And then he told me that he hated me. I don't understand; all I did was do everything he wanted… what else can I do? How can I get him back?" Kaoru finished the end of his tale with his voice raising in high-pitched desperation.

His audience, a tall, thin, dark haired boy, adjusted his glasses and remained stoic as he responded, "Maybe you aren't meant to. It sounds like perhaps you've let Hikaru walk all over you these past few months. Maybe this separation will give you the independence you need to stand up to Hikaru. I had thought you were trying to take care of this two years ago. There is no reason that the two of you should be this dependent on each other at this age."

Kaoru scowled and tightened his two handed grip on his teacup. "I know that senpai, but whenever I tried separating from him, he wouldn't let me or he would find some reason for us not to. I knew it would be hard, but it almost seemed like he knew what I was trying to do and he was preventing it." Kaoru sighed. "But then last night it seemed like being together was the last thing he wanted."

"On the contrary, Kaoru, it sounds as if Hikaru would like to be even closer."

"What do you mean Senpai?" Kaoru asked, a confused and bewildered expression upon his face.

"What I mean is, people don't just kiss each other because they want to know what it's like. Not really. It sounds like the person Hikaru wanted to kiss, was you."

"Kyoya, we've always been much more close than other siblings though. It's not like we've never kissed each other before; it's just that it's the first time we've done so without talking about it. The first time he's been so… rough? God, I know that sounds like a line from one of our acts, but I just don't know what else to say."

Kyoya sighed and pushed his glasses up on his nose, despite having just done it moments before. Frustrated by the red heads naivety and ignorance, reluctantly, he looked up into amber eyes. He'd have to just come out with what he thought and deal with the consequences. "Kaoru, I do believe your brother is struggling with his romantic interest in you. It would appear he loves you far more that a brother." 'Any idiot could see that' he added in his mind.

Kaoru's mouth opened, then closed, then opened again, and he made some (rather cute, admittedly) soft stuttering sounds before managing to squeak out, "But! I think I would know if my brother fell in love with me!"

Kyoya scowled and removed his glasses to polish them with the hem of his shirt. "Kaoru, if you're going to insist upon being this naive, we might have to revoke all of that branding we did with the brotherly love merchandise. If I recall correctly, you're meant to be the more observant between the two of you." Kyoya would never admit it, but he'd seen this coming for quite some time, and it was taking all he had to remain an objective party. Something about the submissive nature of the younger twin had ignited something in him long ago that he had never felt before, and to think he might lose out on the opportunity to bed Kaoru in order to allow the older twin to do so made him feel suddenly very ill.

Kaoru was sitting in stunned silence, his amber eyes wide and panicked. His small hands were trembling delicately and he wrung his slender fingers together. Kyoya had the sudden urge to grab those hands and still them with his own, but he was distracted when he heard Kaoru whimper quietly and bury his head in his hands. Kyoya was alarmed at this development and opened his mouth with the intention to comfort the younger boy, but then closed it again when he realized that he not only didn't know what to say, but it was far beyond his character to say anything at all. Kaoru's shoulders shook and he lifted his head to look into Kyoya's eyes. Tears streamed down his cheeks and his rosebud mouth was turned down. His eyelashes were spiky black and the red rim around his eyes only served to intensify their amber hue. In that moment, Kaoru Hitachiin was the most beautiful creature he'd ever seen, and he felt something in his stomach lurch as the younger boy began to panic in earnest, rambling about how he didn't know what to do or how to feel and how he didn't want to lose his brother forever. In that moment, Kyoya felt the cumulation of years' worth of admiration and longing come to a head in his brain and knew he couldn't stop himself. He roughly grabbed the boy by his shoulders and walked towards him aggressively. Kaoru, pushed backwards by the momentum of Kyoya's force, stopped talking immediately and shuffled backwards quickly and awkwardly in a reflexive motion to maintain his personal space. It was only seconds before the dark haired boy had the younger against the wall and had pinned him there with his arms and hips. Kyoya's arms slid slowly down the boy's shoulders and arms until he reached the scrawny wrists. He grasped them tightly and admired the way his fingers wrapped entirely around the fragile bones momentarily before raising them to the wall and pinning them there on either side of Kaoru's head. The boy was looked up at his captor with a stunned and confused look.

"Kyoya… what- how- I-"

"Shut up." Kyoya growled. "Do you have any idea, any at all, how long I've wanted you? You must have known; but then again, you didn't notice someone as obvious as your own brother, even when he was kissing you, so maybe I overestimated your ability. Let me spell it out for you now just to make things perfectly clear." On the word 'perfectly', Kyoya roughly pushed his body a little more against the younger's, causing the boy to be forced up against the wall more tightly than before as he let out a whimper.

"I let you ramble on and on for hours and never really complained, how often do I let people do that? I listened to you, I gave you my time and my attention; both of which you know that I don't give away freely. I like you Kaoru. I've invested a lot of time into being your friend, and now I want to be more. For now, I'm taking my payoff from the last few years and then you can decide whether you'd like more." Kyoya then dropped one of Kaoru's wrists in order to grab the back of the boy's head and roughly crushed his lips against the soft ones of the red head. When Kaoru didn't respond beyond pushing against Kyoya's chest with his free hand, Kyoya tightened his grip on the soft scarlet hair and pulled, causing the boy to take a gasp in surprise. Kyoya seized the opportunity and plundered the tender mouth with his tongue. He felt Kaoru begin to struggle in earnest, using his free hand to try to pry Kyoya's body off of his own, despite being pressed too tightly to Kyoya to really use his limbs to their full extent. He was squirming uncomfortably and was obviously displeased with what was happening, but Kyoya wasn't ready to give up just yet. The older boy pulled away for a moment to catch his breath.

"St- Stop! What are you do-" Kaoru immediately began to protest, but he was cut off by the hand Kyoya had been using to hold his head in place, moving to grasp him firmly by the chin.

"Sh, Kaoru. I've waited a long time for this. Just let it happen and I'll let you go. I promise I won't hurt you. I just want a little taste."

The boy shuddered at Kyoya's words, but remained quiet and Kyoya leaned in to kiss him once again, more gently this time. Kaoru's lips remained still for a while, but after much coaxing and prodding, Kyoya managed to extract a reaction and he felt a slight pressure as Kaoru finally began to hesitantly respond. Kyoya didn't get much beyond the shy responses, but it was enough to let him know that he could begin to fully enjoy himself. He wrapped one arm around the boy's slender waist and pulled him tightly against his own. With his other arm, he reached down to rest his hand against Kaoru's ass. He stroked the outside of the boy's denim pants softly at first, then grabbed at him roughly and intensified the force of his kiss. Kaoru let out a soft sound of protest at this, but did nothing beyond lifting his hands to rest against the older boy's chest; ready to push him away at a moment's notice. Kyoya returned his offending hand to the soft, peach fuzz at the nape of Kaoru's neck and softened his attack on the boy's mouth, pressing lighter kisses against the plump lips with decreasing frequency. As he prepared to let the younger boy go, he dropped both of his hands from Kaoru's body and stepped away just slightly to admire the distended pink lips and closed eyes, dark, plush lashes falling against pale cheeks. He cupped Kaoru's face with both of his hands and pressed one final kiss to his lips, soft and lingering, his lips still brushing against the other's as he whispered softly "I can give you everything he can't."

With that, he removed his hands from Kaoru's person and brushed down the front of his shirt in a vain attempt to soften the wrinkles that had accrued there, and briskly turned on his heel, vacating the room.

Kaoru slowly slid down against the wall, tears falling freely, feeling confused and betrayed.
