;;/;; Tori's POV ;;\\;;
I didn't know anything when I woke up. I didn't know where I was, why I was tied up, or why I was on the ground. I tried to move, but when I did pain immediately gripped my body, so I just lay there, panting, waiting for the pain to pass.
"Tori! I see you're awake..." Beck. It all came rushing back. He kidnapped me. I was tied to a chair so I couldn't run... And he has a gun. Crap. Had he pistol-whipped me?
"Well, you didn't think you could keep me down for long, did you?" I tried to keep from sounding sarcastic, but it was hard. Jeeze, where was my brain today? You don't irritate the crazy guy with the gun.
"No, of course not Ms. Vega. However, I do expect that since you're tied up you won't fight..." Beck raised an eyebrow, using mock chivalry. "Pitiful, really." Beck moved closer to me and reached behind me. I almost flinched, but he didn't touch me. He gripped the back of my chair, pulling it, and me, upright.
Even though I hadn't moved a muscle, a wave of vertigo smashed through my head, and I put my head down. "Giving up, are we Victoria?" I could hear the smirk in his voice.
"No, I just didn't want to have to see your ugly face anymore, Beckett. No wonder Jade likes me more, at least I'm prettier-" I was cut off by Beck slamming a fist into my stomach. I tried to bend over to cover it, but being tied up has its limitations. So I just kept gasping for air.
"Not so fun, is it?" Beck questioned.
I did the not so smart thing and replied, between gasps of breath, "You've got it.. All wrong. I.. Love it."
And then I was on the ground again, fighting the black wave of unconsiousness. I would not faint again. When my mind wasn't in a blaze of pain, I slowly opened my eyes. I could feel a trickle of something wet seeping down my skull.
"Not so pretty now, huh Tori?" Beck was kneeling in front of me, showing me a mirror. My face was bruised all over from hitting the ground. I had a black eye, and there was blood matting down my hair. "Hm... I wonder how Jade would like seeing you like this... Maybe when she sees her pretty little toy all beat up, she'll come back to me!" I stared up at Beck, horror-stricken. His eyes were shining with childish delight, so much that you would almost miss the feverish glaze to his eyes.
"No, Beck, please don't. Leave Jade out of this. Please!" She would hurt herself trying to come after me... I just knew it.
Beck looked at me oddly. "But, Tori... Jade is what this is all about. She should get to see it too..." Beck pulled the chair, and me, up again. For one irrelevant moment I wondered how strong he is. "Stay here. Not that you have much choice, of course."
"Sir yes sir." He slapped me, hard. I flinched, tilting my head a little so I could spit out blood without it landing on my lap.
"No more sarcasm, or you'll get worse than a slap next time." I narrowed my eyes but stayed silent. Beck left through the way we had come in, and as soon as I heard the door fall shut, I started trying to losen the ropes around my wrists. It wasn't working so well since I had long ago lost circulation, and I finally stopped when I felt rope burn and blood sliding down my hands.
Beck walked in a few seconds after I stopped, and triumphantly showed me my phone. "I'm going to take a picture of you, Tori, and send it to Jade. I won't get caught because your number will show up on her screen. Obviously, she'll know it wasn't you that sent it, but.." Beck smirked, and pointed the camera part of my phone at me. "Smile pretty." I did the opposite, looking down at the floor and doing my best to hide my face. Jade would probably recognize me anyway, but it was worth a shot.
"Perfect." Beck grinned. "You know what I'm gonna type? 'Look at where your pretty little girlfriend is now. This will teach you two a lesson.'" Beck waited a few moments, staring at the screen. Then, "And, sent. Lets wait for her reaction, shall we?"
;;/;; Jade's POV ;;\\;;
Tori had left about seven, and she hadn't texted me since. I was trying not to worry, and was reasoning that maybe her mom was bugging her too much, but I had a bad feeling. Mrs. Vega would call me if they had gone to the hospital, right? My doorbell rang, causing me to look up. It must be nine. Cat had wanted to come back over to watch a movie since Tori had left. "It's open!" I yelled.
The door opened and closed, with Cat shouting "Kaykay!" back to let me know she was in. I almost had to roll my eyes, but then remembered that she had been acting all these years. Cat appeared in my doorway, showing me that she still knew the way to my room.
"What movie did you want to watch?" I had a feeling she would say The Lion King, but I was hopeing for a surprise...
"The Lion King." Cat responded dutifully, killing my hopes. I sighed.
"Fine. You know where it is." Cat didn't disappoint, going to the cabinent where I kept all the kid movies I have strictly for when Cat comes to my house. She got it out and went to my DVD player, placing it in the slot. Then she bounced back to me, jumping onto my bed next to me.
"I'll be back." I grumbled, leaving my room to go to the kitchen for some popcorn.
"You'll miss the beginning!" Cat protested loudly enough for me to hear.
"That's the point!" I shouted back. I probably knew the opening by heart now. She seriously likes that movie. I just dont know why she has to come here to watch it. Not that I don't enjoy her company, but sometimes...
"...Jade?" Cat sounded scared all of a sudden.
I pushed away from the spot on the counter I was leaning against. "What's up, Cat?" I don't know why she sounded so scared... Maybe she put in a different movie by accident?
"It's Tori!" Cats voice sounded high pitched with fear. I had stopped moving, but when her words registered, it sent me running down the hallway and back up the stairs up to my room.
"What about Tori?" I halfway shouted, even though I was in the doorway to my room already. In a mute response, Cat threw me my phone. Her face was pale and she looked terrified. I caught it in reflex and looked at the screen.
It felt like my heart stopped. On my phone screen was a picture of Tori. Her face had bruises on both cheeks, and the entire left side was completely bruised. Her right eye was black and halfway closed. Blood was matting down her hair and had created a trail down the far right side of her face, almost in her hairline.
Then I finally looked away from her face, and over the rest of her body. She was tied up in a chair, and her left arm was bloody and bruised- had she hit the ground or something? The rest of her looked unscathed. I felt rage building inside me. Who the Hell felt that he or she had the right to hurt Tori this way? When I found this bastard...
Wait. That chair looks familiar. I managed to wrench my eyes away from Tori's body to look at the small amount of surroundings that the picture offered. I know this place. I dropped- okay, threw- my phone down, not caring that it probably broke. I started swearing.
"J-jade?" I looked at Cat. She was crying. "What is it?"
"I know that place. Either Beck has her or some random stranger does... Want to hedge any bets?" I watched Cat grimly.
"...You're going to go after her, aren't you?" Cat asked warily.
"Yes." I answered, needing no time to think. In fact, I already had a plan.
A/N:
Soooo? What'cha think? Tell me if you loved it- tell me if you didn't! I'm sorry I left you guys with a cliffhanger, and for so long too, but things happened, then I got too depressed to write, then too happy, and then too depressed again. In that order. Anyways, my life doesn't matter. But it'd make me feel better if you reviewed!
