Day 8 ~ 5: 26 PM

Vash let go of the trigger. The Marauder fell down, blue satin blood streaming over it's face. It screamed as Adolf slashed it in between it's eyes, before planting a boot on the barrel chest and pulling the axe out heavily. The creature screamed louder, splashing blood all over the face of the nordic as it shuddered violently before laying still.

"Take that!" Elizabeta screamed, smashing the frying pan into the face of a Gar. It screamed and recoiled, flashing it's bat like wing up and catching Elizabeta's hair, dragging her down. She fell to her knees and pulled out a pistol, flashing the thing in the face twice. It screamed and fell backwards, grasping at it's bleeding eyes. He lashed out randomly, catching her face on the downswing. A moment later Roderich came up behind it, slashing it downwards with a blade. It screeched a final time before laying still.

The gentleman he is, Roderich held his hand out and helped Elizabeta up. She grabbed his hand and her frying pan, pulling her dress down as she nodded her thanks.

"GO TO HELL!" Gilbert shouted, flashing his sword in one hand and smashing the muzzle of his pistol at the enemy's face, he let loose at point blank while cutting down the Marauder's chest.

Lili let loose, the shotgun clanging in her hands. She was the 'younger sister' of a trigger happy banker, and though he wouldn't let her out on the front lines, that didn't mean she was uneducated. Most of the other nations thought she was sweet and innocent. No. Vash had spent extra care with Lilli, she could shoot 53 different types of guns with her eyes closed. 140 with her eyes open. Perhaps she wasn't fit for front line duty, but Vash would shoot himself before he kept her in his house without having her know how to shoot a gun.

She popped a creature in the mouth, shooting 3 inches past Gilbert's face. She had operated as a male sharpshooter in Vash's armies for three years while he was on active duty, rare for him, but Lilli had decided to tag along disguised as a man. Not hard for her flat chest, but in that time she learned how to wield tons of weapons, including guns, hammers, and even bows. A little old fashioned but it never hurt to know these things. After the three years Vash finally figured out when he returned home by surprise only to find Lilli not there.

Once discovered, Vash had finally calmed down and realized that she hadn't been kidnapped by Francis or Gilbert, he found her in the army. He was furious at first, but she had braved almost dying and his fury wasn't anything close to that. Once he realized that she was alright, his attitude changed completely.

"I'm sorry Lilli," Vash said, his kind green eyes looking down on her. "I was so scared when I came home and you weren't here." he admitted, moving his eyes towards the floor. He pulled her into a hard hug, but she didn't have time to hug him back. His arms wrapped around her and he pulled her close to his chest, her arms folded against her chest, her face against his chest. He held her tightly, her breathing became slow and she realized how perfect this moment was."I know that you were just trying to help me out," he whispered against her ear, sending shivers down her spine. "But I want to let you know that I love you. You can be strong and independent, but I'll always be here to protect you." he promised.

Lilli fired off two more shots. She wouldn't forget that day, even when she ceased being a nation. In a moment her magazine was gone, replaced by another one, and five seconds later she tossed a grenade, blowing a Marauder into the sky. Suddenly a black shape was in front of her, clawing it's way down her face. She screamed and fell backwards, her gun clattering on the ground and firing off a shot that stuck in the roof. Clutching her face she heard her name shouted by someone but was unable to tell who. Tears streamed down her eyes, mingling with the blood that now coursed down her face.

"Lilli!" Ludwig shouted, "Dammit!" he said, smacking the Gar with his gun and forcing it back out the window. "Go to hell!" he shouted as he fired at a moment Yao was beside Lilli. He picked her up and swiftly carried her to the healing center.

"Suck ballsss!" he shouted angrily. "Lilli, Lilli," he said. "Let go of your face." he asked. The girl was screaming and crying and clutching her face. Red hot pain flew through her entire body she could barely hear Yao talking. She couldn't let go of her face, she was shaking. In the three years of war she had never felt this much pain before, not even when the Marauder completely tore out her flesh. That night she hadn't been able to feel a lot.

"HOLY CRAPOLA WHAT THE HELL'S GOING ON HERE?""ROOOOMMMMAAANNNNOOOOO!" Feliciano squeed as he flicked his whip across a Marauder's torso. "Romano!"

"LOVI!" Antonio screamed as he burst through the treeline. "Whoaaa! What the hell?"

"Antonio!" Gilbert shouted. "In! Base! NOW!"Antonio nodded, "Right!" he said, grabbing Romano by the shoulder and dragging him inside the base.

"Who told you to touch me, you damn ass? Why won't you let me go, I can walk you know!" Romano shouted rebelliously as Antonio shoved him inside the base.

"Loviiii!" Antonio whined as Francis threw a gun at him. "Best make yourself useful!" he said, firing off three shots. "Uhhh, what?" Antonio asked stupidly, looking down at the gun blankly.

"Move damn you!" Romano shouted, grabbing the M4 from the spaniard and firing off randomly. "Burn in hell!" he said, and Antonio grinned, "LOVIIIII," he said, coming up behind the italian and wrapping his arms around him. "So cuttttte~!" he squealed.

"W-What? What the hell? Get off of me, dammit!" Feliciano shouted, aiming a kick for Antonio's crotch. "You're gonna get me killed, dammit!"Suddenly the happy-go-lucky spaniards face was rid of the high enthusiasm. It was replaced by an anger

"Like hell," he muttered, pulling up an axe bigger then Adolf's. He turned around and stalked his way outside, swinging his axe down on a Gar and split it's skull. "Whoa-kay then," Francis said, smiling slightly. "That was unexpected," he said, emptying a magazine.

Romano stared for a second before turning his eyes back and firing off at a few Marauders.

"[So, right here Fanfic decided to be uncool, and they blocked out what he screamed. But Matthew is screaming Maple Hockey. Just so you know :3]!" His face was slashed by trees, the branches dragging long bloody lines across his face. "Wahhhhhh!" Kumajirou cried, the bear screaming in his arms. Matthew stumbled for a second, the massive freaky alien thing was reeaching for him now, it's long bony fingered hand slowly coming closer.

Matthew touched his finger to Kumajiro's head and the bear ceased screaming, Matthew dove and rolled, coming straight up. He stopped suddenly, his hair covered his face in shadow. "Just kidding." he growled, turning around and dropping Kumajirou out of his arms. The bear landed on the ground with a growl, Matthew, not showing his face, placed two fingers to his lips and let out a shrill whistle.

Alfred stopped. He had heard that whistle only one other time in his life. Distractions overwhelmed him, and he just barely dodged the Gar's talon as it swung down towards his face, before smashing the butt of the gun into it's nose.

The shrill whistle was something Matthew had Arthur install in Kumajirou. From a cute cuddly teddy bear to a massive polar bear, Kumajirou's fangs ran over his lip and he roared, causing Gars to flee to the skies. The Marauders hissed and the two charged each other. From his coat, Matthew pulled out a huge gun, letting it loose and shooting the Gars out of the sky.

He had been duck hunting plenty of times when the seasons were right, this was easily just as easy. Matthew was a hunter, he and Kumajirou roamed the Canadian wilderness, hunting the animals that were stocked in his lands. Elk, deer, moose, birds, even some wolves, killed more out of self defense, were among his list of creatures.

Kumajirou bounded forward, rearing up on to his hind legs and bringing his paws down upon the Marauder's head. It held it's bone thin arms up and blocked with surprising strength.

"Kumajirou!" Matthew called, "Geese!" he shouted, pointing up at the sky, and Kumajirou leapt up, Matthew shot the thing in the face and Kumajirou landed gracefully beside the carcass. "Kumajirou," Matthew called again, this time gently, watching fondly as the bear trotted over to him and Matthew placed a hand on his head. "Good boy." the bear grunted, unable to speak in this state, and Matthew ran his hand down the bear's spine. "Alright buddy," he murmured, and Kumajirou lowered his head for Matthew to pat. "Let's keep going. I can here gunshots coming from this way." Matthew stood up and placed a hand on the bear's snout, leading it into the bushes.

Day 8 ~ 6:45 PM

Arthur sat close to Lilli, healing the others while Yao tried to convince her to let go of her face. The nation was slowly pulling her arms back from it as her tears streamed down her eyes.

Beside her Elizabeta held her head in her lap, softly speaking words to her, slowly convincing her to lower her hands. Granted any of them could have just yanked her arms from her face, Francis and Gilbert were the first to offer, but fear of scaring the girl half to death kept them from doing so. Vash, Roderich, and Elizabeta all said so. Arthur healed a wound on Alfred's face, the handsome young nation showing concern for the youth in the midst of all this, Vash was pacing back and forth a few feet away, cocking and firing his gun every now and again, with a propane filled magazine.

"Arthur." he said suddenly, catching the man's attention. "Hit me. Eichhof." he said, and Arthur summoned the drink, flowing it into a shot glass which Vash emptied at once. Switching off the spell Arthur turned back and healed a slash across Kiku's face.

"Arthur." Yao said softly, gathering the attention of the englishman. "I need your help, aru." Arthur, exhausted from the amount of energy spent on healing, pushed his sleeves to his elbows and stepped over to the asian. Lilli had fainted.

Her face showed two sets of scars, three running down her left cheek, two running down her right and one running down her right eye. Blood flowed freely, staining the white of her eye, broken blood vessels fell over her open eyelids, staining her face with blood, causing a few countries to gasp.

"When she was shooting, the force of the gun also pulled her back, which, contracted her intestines. I can't tell if that hurt her or not but I don't want to just leave it be, aru." Arthur nodded, "Makes sense." he reasoned. He felt her belly, places where small lumps reared up every now and again. "Yikes," Arthur said, causing Vash to quit his pacing.

"I can't directly heal it, if I use a moving spell without knowing what her intestines look like I could really screw her up." Yao frowned, coping Arthur's facial expression, and said

"Which means...,"

"We'll need surgery." Arthur finished.

"Dammit aru!" Yao said. "I don't have the equipment to do this kind of stuff, aru! Aiyyyaaaa!"

"We'll come up with something." Ludwig promised, Gilbert coming up beside him. "We've already been working on effective ways to increase medical attention," Gilbert said, looking to his younger brother who finished, "And we think we might be able to throw something together." Ludwig said, crossing his arms. "But, we need to assess the resources we have and find out if we can do it off what we're gathered, or if we'll need something else."

"Leave that to me." Vash said, setting his rifle down. "I'm a banker."

Day 8 ~ 8:03 PM

Arthur trickled some water down Lilli's throat. Matthew came up beside him, not a bad doctor himself, and handed the nation a plate of food. "Eat up," he said. "Feliciano made it, so it should work out nicely for you." Arthur nodded, accepting the food, and allowed the flavors to remind him what a terrible cook he was.

A little ways away, Ludwig and Gilbert sat hunched over schematics, conferring in hushed tones and getting Yao, Francis' and Matthew's insights.

A little ways away Vash was in deep thought, pushing away the plate of food offered by Feliciano and turning back to his work. Gilbert called the swiss over and the three began discussing.

"We need metal." Ludwig said, looking at the small circle.

"So, we'll need to find out where that is." Gilbert said. "But we don't have all that much time, remember? Yao said that we'd have four days at the most."

"Where did you get the metal for the door and windows?" Vash asked, and Ludwig grasped his chin thoughtfully, before placing his elbows in his lap and crossing his fingers."We found a door made of metal, harboring the guns and food. So we melted it down and reinforced our home."

"I don't think whoever was here first could have carried all that metal with them, which means that they had someone find it. Which means we should be able to find it."

Feliciano handed Gilbert a plate of food and said, "You know, Grandpa Rome taught us how to find metals. Where to look and how to find them. Romano knows lots about it too."

"Oi, I could help." Arthur said, sitting down beside them. From across the room, Antonio set his axe down. "I know a ton too. My little brother Chile holds one of the biggest mining resorts in the world! Who do you think taught him, amigo?" he asked, grinning.

"Good. Feliciano and Romano can find it, Arthur and Spain can dig it up." Gilbert said.

"Why do we need this stuff again?" Adolf asked, sitting down a little ways away."What are we supposed to operate with?" Vash asked, annoyed at the question. "Combat knives? Lilli needs a scalpel and some other stuff."Adolf nodded, understanding invading his eyes, and he went back to cleaning his axe.

"The only problem, is the Marauders and Gars. There's no way we'll be able to work if we're jumping up and down every five minutes." Feliciano said, and Antonio grinned, "Lovi! I'll protect youu~!" he promised gaily, causing Romano to turn red and Gilbert to chuckle."S-Shut up, dammit! I can take care of myself!" he said, turning from the crowd and blushing madly.

Elizabeta smiled, "Ooo~" she said, smiling slightly before laughing. Roderich grinned, pushing his glasses up and looking towards the ground.

"Oh Elizabeta," he cooed to the ground, reminiscing. Gilbert looked fondly at the hungarian, his mind running dirty thoughts through his head. If only he could get the austrian ass hole out of the way... then maybe Elizabeta would be his.

"Right! Come on, Romano! Let's start thinking about what Grandpa Rome taught us!" Feliciano said enthusiastically, leading his brother away by the hand. "We can do this!"

Romano followed with mock enthusiasm on his face, "Yes, brother, let's!" he said, trailing behind Feliciano. Ludwig smiled fondly and turned back to discussion group. "Alright, so we've got the minerals. Arthur can put a sleep spell on her. I can't think of anything else."

"But," Roderich cut in, leaning against the wall. "It's not going to be this easy. Why?" he asked, moving from the wall in a fluid motion. "Because it's never that easy. We need to expect the unexpected."The other nations nodded to this and

Ivan sat up, "You hear that, da?"

Feliciano and Romano crashed through the trees, "We found it!" they called through a window.

"Holy crap, what the hell are they smoking?" Gilbert asked, moving and opening the door for them. Feliciano was breathing heavily, Romano beside him.

"We... huh, we found it." Feliciano said, smiling. "We know where it is. And we'll need to crack a few skulls to get there."

"Of course," Adolf spoke up. "It's only fun if you get to split a few heads."

Day 8 ~ 10:34 PM

He flew through the trees, sliding his hand down a tree branch, the stiff velvety feel of the branch was awkward on his hand, but he swung himself up and over the branch, landing gently on top. Kiku looked over at Yao, dressed in the same apparel as himself.

Black.

Yao winked, Kiku nodded, and the two moved.

Kiku remembered when Yao had first taught him how to jump. "You need to be stealthy. It's hard at first, so don't worry if you make a mistake. But if you can master this art, then your journey is almost complete." Yao said, dressed in the same apparel as he was now. "Feel the wind on you, feel the tree underneath you. You are a ninja."

Kiku halted on top of a tree, moving his mouth piece down to talk to Yao, who did the same. "What we really need, is a map. We need to have someone map out the territory." he said, and Yao nodded, "Yea, I don't see anything. We did what the Italy brothers said to do... Let's head back."

"Which way is back? All I remember is trees.""Dammit." Yao cursed, "So do I. Maybe we'll remember something if we turn around and move back." he suggested, and Kiku nodded, moving his mouth cloth back, the two headed towards home, hoping to remember something.

A sickly green flashed in front of Kiku, the asian fell backwards. "Kiku!" Yao shouted in surprise, as the younger nation was pinned to the ground by the massive Gar. He pulled a dagger out, his mouth cloth falling under his chin, and pulled his hand up, struggling against the weight of the screaming creature on his chest. The ground was damp and the liquid substance seeped through the thin material, covering Kiku's back in a deep slimy coat. Yao suddenly flashed over Kiku, smacking the side of his foot into the Gar's face, yelling a battle cry. It fell to the side, Kiku spun to his feet and landed next to Yao, the two rushed the monster together, kicking up simultaneously and breaking the jaw of the monster.

"Holy crap aru!" Yao shouted. "You okay, aru?"Kiku nodded, breathless, as the blood from the claws fell down his chest and the slimy substance spread down his back.

"What's on my back?" he asked, pulling his shirt off and showing his back to his older brother.

"What the hell, aru?" Yao asked, placing a hand on his friend's back and pulling off experimentally. "I don't know, aru." Yao said, as it fell back to Kiku's shoulder and he frowned again. "It won't come off aru! Let's get back home and clean you up. Maybe Alfred will take it off, aru. He likes all that sciency crap, aru."

Hetalia~!

Day 8 ~ 12:00 PM

"Dude, where have you guys been?" Alfred asked, meeting Yao and Kiku at the door."We got lost," Kiku said, and Ivan came up behind him, "You found something, da?"

"We were attacked, be we I mean me," Kiku said, pointing a finger at himself. "And there's something on my back and I have no idea what the hell it is."

Alfred was over, "Take your shirt off."

"Ohnonononnonon~ Alllffffrrreeeddddd?" Francis asked. "Playing for a different team, are we?"

"Shut it wanker!" Arthur said, smacking the frenchmen over the head with the top of a pistol.

Alfred ignored the frenchman, pulling out a combat knife and scraping a sample of the goo off. He poked it with a velvety twig, it jiggled like Jello. He sniffed it and turned away, nearly retching. "Son of a gun!" he shouted. "That smells worse then ass!"

"What the hell is it?" Kiku asked.

"I have no fucking idea."

Hetalia~!

Day 9 ~ 2:30 AM

"Guys, she's getting worse." Elizabeta said, gently dapping her friend witha damp cloth. "I don't think she'll be able to keep this up for much longer."

"Crap guys." Arthur said. "We have to find that deposit."

"Maybe a map, aru?" Yao suggested.

"Screw that. We don't have enough time, dude." Alfred countered, causing Yao to rethink his idea.

"Can't your magical friends do something?" Francis asked Arthur, who in turn became very red.

"I-I-I, eerr..."

"Magical friends? What the hell is he talking about Arthur?" Elizabeta asked.

"Ahhh, so you see them too." Freyr said from across the room.

"What, I-I no!" Arthur said.

"Oh, then what are they?" Freyr asked, a puzzled look on his face and his head tipped slightly.

At this point Arthur was sure the soles of his shoes would melt, everyone's eyes were on him, placing him in a very uncomfortable position.

"I-I Iiiii need some air..." he said, grabbing an assault rifle and heading out the door.

"Air? What the hell makes the air out there better then in here, aru?" Yao asked, looking out a window to watch Arthur stalk away.

"Maybe he needs to shoot something. That's what I do when I'm pissed!" Ivan exclaimed happily, causing all the other nations to shrink back.
