"Nothing is wrong. Just another surprise," I told him quietly. I looked at him, my dilemma dancing in my eyes. It was several moments before I made my decision. I wasn't going to tell him. I was going to let Lissa tell us when she was ready.

~ Chapter 4 – Visiting the Doctor ~

Just then, the door to Christian's dorm opened and out stepped a very pink and happy Lissa and an equally happy Christian.

"Did he pass out?" I asked hopefully. I already knew the answer but I couldn't help the jab.

"No," Christian said defensively. "I would never pass out!"

Lissa chuckled. "He looked ready to," she corrected. "But it is shocking news. He wasn't exactly prepared for it."

"He's the one that got you pregnant," I muttered. Lissa may be the one that was pregnant, but I absolutely blamed Christian. He should have known better.

"It takes two to tango," Lissa pointed out, a small smile on her face. As you pointed out earlier it was Christian's sperm, but it was my egg,Lissa sent through the bond

I put my hands over my ears and scrunched my nose up. "I really didn't need to hear that," I told Lissa, slightly disgusted.

"What was so wrong with what she said?" Christian asked confused.

"Stupid one-way bond," I mumbled. There was no way I was repeating what Lissa had just told me. I was scarred enough hearing it once. I shook my head to clear it.

"Ready?" I asked Lissa.

Christian took her hand and they exchanged a meaningful look. "We're ready," they said together.

We made our way to the clinic. I felt like Lissa was intentionally walking slow, but no matter how slow she walked the clinic wasn't getting further away.

When we entered the clinic, Dr. Olendzki gave her another pregnancy. It was one of the high-tech tests that were 99.99% accurate. It took nearly half an hour for Lissa to be able to use the test and five minutes later, it was official. Lissa didn't have a flesh-eating disease or anything like that. She was pregnant.

Dr. Olendzki was very understanding, not once yelling at them for having sex at such a young age. I suppose that she of all people knew what went on within the walls of the school. She left the room briefly to call a Moroi OBGYN that wasn't too far from the Academy, only a little over an hour away. It was then that I wondered exactly how many moroi had gone through this before.

When Dr. Olendzki returned, she spoke to Lissa, "You have an appointment later today at 10 pm." I glanced at my watch. It was already 3 pm.

"But I have class!" Lissa exclaimed shocked. That's Lissa for you. School comes first. Even when you're seventeen and pregnant, school comes first.

"Honestly Liss, I think you're entitled to a sick day, especially given the circumstances," I said before the doctor could say anything.

She sighed. She knew I was right. The doctor looked at Dimitri. "Do you know any guardians off duty that would be able to take her to the doctors?" She asked him.

I knew Lissa wouldn't be comfortable with anyone taking her to the doctors. She doesn't want more people to know than the ones that have to. Dimitri looked at Lissa, an undeterminable emotion playing on his face. "I probably could change shifts with an off-duty guardian to take her," Dimitri said slowly. He rarely asked for time off, so he felt the school would be more flexible with him. Lissa looked at him gratefully. She would have been so embarrassed if another guardian escorted her to the OBGYN.

Lissa turned back to the doctor. "Can Christian come with me?" She asked nervously.

Dr. Olendzki sighed. "I don't know… He technically isn't allow…" she started to say.

Lissa interrupted. "He deserves to be there," she asserted.

"And I guarantee he'll just hide in the back seat if you say no," I added. I lowered my voice. "Wouldn't be the first time."

Christian chuckled. He remembered as well as I did how he hid in the backseat when we went to rescue Lissa from Victor.

The doctor just nodded. "Very well he may go. When you two get back we are going to have to talk to Headmistress Kirova," Dr. Olendzki warned.

Lissa paled considerably. "Does headmistress Kirova need to know?" Lissa squeaked out.

Dr. Olendzki look at her sympathetically. "I know that you wish as few people to learn of this as possible, but I'm actually supposed to alert the headmistress before I even allow you to leave the Academy," Dr. Olendzki told Lissa gently. "I don't want to wake the headmistress which is why we are having the meeting with her afterwards."

Lissa nodded. She had hoped Kirova wouldn't have to find out, but part of her had expected it.

"You may go. I will contact the guardians and tell them that Guardian Belikov will be escorted you two out of the Academy at 8:30 pm for medical reasons," Dr. Olendzki said.

Christian and Lissa told us they were going to head back to their bedrooms. I was sure by their bedrooms they meant Christian's bedroom, but I didn't say anything. To my surprise Dimitri didn't either. I think he realized that after a night like the one they had, they needed to be together alone. I also think he believed that after everything that had happened, sex was the last thing on their minds. He didn't know Lissa and Christian very well. "I'll see you in a couple of hours." Dimitri said to them after they had decided where they were going to meet. Then he started to walk me back to my dorm. I felt a sudden wave of nausea hit me. I sprinted for the bathroom as fast as I could, with Dimitri on my heels. He held my hair as I vomited.

He didn't listen to me when I told him to leave. I went to the sink to wash out my mouth. When I turned around, he was right there. He kissed my forehead and said, "She's not the only one that's entitled to a sick day."

"I feel fine now," I told him honestly. "Unless I can go with you and Lissa?" I looked at him hopefully.

He grinned lightly and shook his head. "I am not authorized to let you leave campus," he explained.

"I could hide in the trunk," I suggested.

He just shook his head. We were outside my dorm now. "Feel better Roza, I'll check on you in the morning before I leave," he told me affectionately. He kissed my forehead and walked away.
