Chapter 4

Typical Disclaimer I don't own anything blah blah

So living in Gotham wasn't as bad as Elliot had originally deemed it, once you knew how to get around the Super-Villains' traps, the random explosions, the corrupted police force, and y'know, Batman, but some days you really wanted to punch someone.

These were Elliot's thoughts as he attempted to keep himself as far from sight as possible, inside a jewelry store he'd decided to browse, thinking of getting a gift for one of the girls at the Tattoo/Piercing Shop, of course, he should have expected it to be robbed, what with his luck and all, but who should be robbing the store but The Joker and Harley Quinn!

While hiding was usually easy enough for some people, it's not as easy when you're hiding between a white counter and a white wall, wearing all black with hair dyed a lovely plum colour.

Honestly, the piercer was starting to realize that in hindsight, he should've known purple hair would get some unwanted attention, especially when certain villains were rather obsessed with purple. As he attempted to stay unseen, and as quiet as he could manage, Harley went and backflipped over the counter, right in front of him.

Elliot let out a rather undignified yelp, gaining her and the Joker's attention, just lovely. He was a little too busy holding his breath, lest he break into giggles right in front of the two, in fact one of his hands was covering his mouth, when Harley suddenly exclaimed "Hey, waita second! I know you! You're that sassy guy with the smiley scars from the tattoo parlour!" she looked a little, too happy about seeing him again. The reason why was revealed when she turned to the Joker with a happy grin "See Mistah J? I told you he was real!" oh, well apparently his attempts to stay low profile and not be noticed by any super-villains had been working, if the Crown Prince of Crime didn't even believe that he existed.

Though there were more important things to think about when the aforementioned clown was walking towards you with a grin and a curious glint in his eyes, such as backing up as much as you possibly could when there was a counter at your back. At this point Elliot's shoulders were shaking with the effort of keeping in hysterical laughter, since he really was on the brink of hysterics, just not like the hysterical sobbing the employees at the store were letting out as the thugs cleared out the jewelry and the cash register.

"Well, well, well! Look at you, let's see those scars then!" the green haired man said, reaching down to yank the young man up by the front of his shirt, said young man still hand one hand clamped carefully over his mouth, strategically covering his scars at the same time. This only worked for so long however, before a deceptively thin hand clamped an iron vice grip onto his wrist and dragged his own hand from his mouth, revealing scar tissue and a labret piercing, along with the fact that the purple-haired young man was biting down on his lip perhaps a bit too hard.

Of course, the Joker notices every little detail here, even if some people think he's just a basket case, he's extremely intelligent. So, once he took in the well formed scars, he grinned brightly in Elliot's face "You really are always smiling! Did you do that yourself? Well? C'mon, let's have an answer from that pretty mouth!" the last bit was practically snarled, whilst the insane criminal gave Elliot a good shake, causing the piercer to finally break into hysterical giggling, as he shook his head quickly from side to side.

Unfortunately, the giggling from his side did not have the same effect as it would on, say, Two-Face, instead it only served to make the Joker's grin even bigger, if that was possible. "I like you!" he said, releasing the young man's shirt before wrapping an arm around his shoulders and steering him to the getaway car, shooting one of the clerks along the way.

Elliot hadn't missed the jealous expression that came onto Harley's face, nor the way her glare followed him, not the Joker. Well, shit. This wasn't good at all. Poor Mrs Marianelli, she was going to be so upset.

"C'mon boys! Time to go before the Bat gets here!" the Joker yelled at his henchmen, rather roughly shoving Elliot into the car before climbing in himself, paying Harley no attention as she got in next to him. Two thugs got into the front of the car, and the next thing he knew, Elliot was being kidnapped and sped off to wherever the Joker and his goons had set up as their hideout for the time.

I've left these stories for a terribly long time, but hey! I've been busy! I have a Joker cosplay to work on, lines to memorize, french and electronics to study! Leave a review!
