Hey guys. I'm really sorry about not updating for so long, but I've been pretty ill, and although I've been better for a while, I've had a few problems that I've had to deal with. I know I'm kinda sucky for leaving you all hanging, but I couldn't just give up. You've stuck with me so far, so I at least owe you a story or two, eh?

Also, I was reading through Used, and I realized how much my writing has changed. I mean, at first, I didn't take the story seriously, but then people actually started to review, so I put a lot more effort into it. You can see where my writing style suddenly changes. So I was thinking, I might need to rewrite it, but I'll finish this story first. Having more than one story on the go might just be a little too much. So, without further ado, here's the next chapter of Chased!

I stared at the rustic path winding between the autumnal trees. I could barely see a tower, not dissimilar to a Zen Buddhist temple, between the trunks of the ancient trees. However, I could also see a large modern building that, although seemingly out of place in this picturesque area, seemed to blend in with its surroundings. The combination of old and new, in harmony simply took my breath away. But, I must have zoned out, because the next thing I knew, I was being shaken lightly by a pair of gentle, yet strong hands.

"May? May!" Drew called, snapping my out of my happy daze.

"Huh? What?" I said, coming to my senses.

"I said, we'd better get down to the school. We have to talk to the principal so we can get our timetables and stuff."

"Oh. Right then! We'd better get going then! Race ya!" I exclaimed, sprinting down the trail whilst laughing.

"Hey! No fair!" Drew shouted, running after me.

Once we both made it to the main entrance, we were both out of breath.

"Cheater." Drew panted, punching me playfully.

"It's not my fault that you're so slow!" I said, giggling lightly. "Anyways, we'd better get in. We're already like five minutes late." I grabbed Drew's hand and held it as we walked inside. We both walked up to the receptionist.

"Excuse me," Drew caught the lady's attention. "Could you please tell me where the principal is?" he asked, still holding my hand.

"I'm right here." Someone said from behind us. We both turned around to see an old-ish man wearing a lab coat. "My name is Professor Oak, and I'm the Principal here at Bell Tower High. I'm assuming that you are May and Drew?" We both nodded.

"I'm May, and this is Drew, as you might have guessed." I pointed out, just in case he couldn't tell. Drew simply gave me a blank stare.

"Well then, May and Drew, follow me to my office and I'll get you all sorted out." We nodded and followed him through a door to our left. He gestured to some metal chairs in front of his desk. "Please, take a seat." We both obliged and sat down. "Now, as I've just told you, my name is Professor Oak and I'm the Principal here. All the teachers here are Professors of their chosen subjects, apart from a few assistants. Bell Tower High is a music and performing arts school, so you will be expected to be able to sing, dance or play an instrument, or at least be willing to learn. Is that alright with you?" I nodded, while Drew said a simple 'yes'. "Do either of you have any history in music, dance or acting?" Oak asked. Drew spoke up first.

"Yeah, I do. I play the guitar, but that's pretty much it." Drew said, and Oak wrote this information down.

"What about you, May?" Oak asked me turning towards me with a kind smile on his face. I took a deep breath and thought about this. A long time ago, when my mother was still nice, she taught me how to play a few instruments, but when she changed, she burned them all in front of me, saying that music was for the weak. I let out my breath and answered.

"Um, yes, I do actually. I sing. And, uh, I play guitar, too, along with piano." I said, and Drew smiled at me, looking surprised. Professor Oak wrote down the last of my info and turned to us both.

"Very good." He clicked something on his computer and his printed whirred to life. He took the two sheets that came out. "Here are your timetables. You'll find that they are mostly identical, apart from a few lessons. You'll mostly be together, I thought it would be easier for you that way. Anyway, our student body vice president should be on her way down. She'll show you around and answer any questions you may have about classes and the school. Speaking of whom, here she is now." The door opened and a girl walked in; she must have been the same age as me, maybe a year older, yet she had an air of maturity and self confidence around her that seemed comforting. But that was only the second thing I noticed about her; she was beautiful. She had bright blue hair in two pigtails and the prettiest deep blue eyes. She turned to me and Drew and smiled, offering her hand in greeting.

"Hey. I'm Marina Riviera and I'm gonna show you around the school. It's great to meet you." Drew shook her hand first.

"Likewise. My name's Drew and this is May over here." Drew gestured to me and I stood up and also shook her hand.

"Hi. Great to meet you, too." I said, smiling slightly.

"Right then, I guess I'll give you the grand tour of the school." She said, opening the door. "Follow me!"

By the time Marina had shown us around the school, it was already lunch for everyone else. As we walked around, we got some strange stares, and some smiles from the other students. It seemed as though nobody was too bothered by our presence, and that relaxed me somewhat. We sat on a bench outside, chatting idly whilst taking in the sun's rays. After a while, though, a small group of people came over. They seemed, really close; they probably had known each other for years.

"Hey, Marina! Who are these two? Are they new?" A girl with long brown hair and gray eyes asked, looking towards me and Drew.

"Hey, Leaf. Yeah, these two are May and Drew. They've just moved here." Marina replied. Drew and I just said a simple 'hi' to the girl, presumably called Leaf.

"Hi, May and Drew! I'm Leaf! Nice to meet ya!" Leaf said, grinning. "These are my friends! Gary and Brendan!" She said, pointing to the two boys behind her, one who had black hair with a white hat, and the other, who had orange-brown hair and brown eyes. The boy with the hat on waved and introduced himself as Brendan, whilst the other introduced himself as Gary.

All of a sudden, my stomach growled, and I went bright red. Marina gasped.

"Oh my gosh! I've been so busy talking to you, I didn't even let you two get any food!" She said, standing up. "Hurry! We might still be able to get something!" We all laughed and followed Marina, as she hurried off.

So like, yeah. I hope you liked it, and sorry again for the huge delay.

Thanks for all of your reviews and ideas for the story. I take them all into consideration, and if I use yours, I'll credit you at the beginning of the chapter.

As always, tell me what you think, and flames will be used to fry bacon.
