Thank you to Bookah14 for following this fanfic and the author since the last update :)

That's when it hit me. Hard. Not only had I been offered life by a boy from a book and a goddess who isn't supposed to exist, I had just been chucked into the world of Vampire Academy. I had studied this series like some religious fanatics studied the bible and I knew a lot about the characters.

A woman walked in dressed in a white coat and spoke

"Queen Lissa, she can be discharged when you're ready."

Lissa nodded and looked at me "Would you like to walk and talk?"

Boy would I ever! I nodded and pulled at the cords that were connected to me. Carefully I placed my feet on the ground and Dimitri grabbed my arm as I got up. I pried his fingers off my arm and turned to face Lissa – while being extremely aware of the open back of the hospital gown.

"Miss…..Lissa, um, would you happen to know where I can get some normal clothing?"

A slight blush appeared on her cheeks and she nodded, taking my hand and leading me out of the white corridors through many more soft brown corridors. We arrived at an oak door that Lissa confidently knocked on; Rose Hathaway opened the door.

"Hi Lissa, what can I do? Wait, don't tell me….you want clothes for your newest friend who just so happens to be my size."

The grinned at each other and hugged, leaving me standing there awkwardly. Rose faced me and introduced herself

"I'm Rose. You're welcome to help yourself to my clothing, as long as you take me on a shopping trip afterwards."

I grinned and replied

"Thanks. I'm Zin by the way, Zinaida Viktoriya Keiji."

Her room was simple but gave off a feeling of comfort. Rose led me to a wardrobe and quickly handed me a pair of black pants and a black top, in fact, I'm pretty sure everything in her wardrobe would be black. I edged my way towards the bathroom and quickly shut the door behind me.

Five minutes later I was dressed and Rose and Lissa were sitting on the bed. Rose looked at me

"Lissa was just telling me that she wants you to be trained to become a guardian. In normal circumstances you would've started at the time you could walk but given this is not normal circumstances, I'll train you instead; of course, with the help of my former mentor Dimitri."

I acted confused (well, what else was I supposed to do? I don't want them to know that I know everything about them!) "Dimitri?" I asked.

Lissa smiled "He's the guardian who was in the medical clinic with us."

I nodded and Rose got up from the bed, offering a hand to Lissa at the same time. Rose looked me over, obviously querying as to whether I had fought before. Something prickled on my neck and I scratched it subconsciously. It kept getting more irritating the further we walked, finally I was so pissed off that I asked Lissa

"Lissa, is there anything on the back of my neck?"

I lifted up my ponytail – it had grown since I last had hair – and she looked, a gasp soon followed. "Rose, come look at this."

Silence. "Guys, what is all the fuss about? Come on, don't leave me hanging."

It was Rose who finally broke the silence "Zin, did you know that you're already a qualified Guardian?"

"SAY WHAT?!"

I dropped that hand that held my ponytail up and turned to face them, "Since when did you come to that assumption?"

Lissa and Rose shared a glance and I sighed, irritated. Rose finally explained – half of which I already knew, due to reading the Vampire Academy series like a bible.

"Guardians can get given three types of tattoos. The Promise Mark is for when they graduate from an academy, a Molnija Mark for each Strigoi they've killed – Strigoi are basically evil vampires, they can't go out in the sun at all and have red rings in their eyes. The last mark is a Zvezda Mark – this is if you've been in a battle but killed too many Strigoi to count. Look, basically you have a Promise Mark, two Molnija Marks and a Zvezda Mark."

My life is complicated, that's all I could deduce from that. I nodded "So what you're saying is, I have been graduated from an academy and have killed a number of these Strigoi, AND I have no memory of it."

They nodded and I muttered under my breath "That's insane."
