Author's Note: Where we last left our heroes Sebastian saw flashes of his parents abandoning him at an empty house and reverts to his true form in his grief. Now our tale begins...

Sebastian turned to run, not wanting to injure his dear friends in this monstrous state he was in. He stopped when he felt a firm hand grip onto his wrist, looking over his shoulder to see Kanda holding onto his wrist with enough force to only slightly register pain in the demon.

"Why are you running away?" Kanda demanded, his eyes hidden by his bangs. Jiro pulled Kanda and Sebastian apart, standing between the two incase this confrontation started going south. Sebastian returned to the form the two other men knew better and looked at the sidewalk. He felt his palms start to sweat beneath his white gloves and a blush form on his cheeks whenever he stole a quick glance at Kanda.

After a few minutes of silence Kanda turned to walk away, only to be stopped by Jiro's hand on his shoulder.

"Are you touching me?" Kanda snapped, turning to glare at Jiro. Unlike those at the Black Order Jiro didn't flinch or wet his pants at this heated glare, but instead gave one of his own.

"Sebastian is clearly upset and unwilling to speak about what just happened, but that does not mean we make him feel alone or we do not wish to listen to him. Its important we make him feel loved and wanted," Jiro retorted, not loosening his grip one bit.

"Jiro I'm fine now, just a little fright is all," Sebastian cried, pulling the two apart. "I appreciate your worry, but it is unnecessary. I've been through much worse alone." That's when Sebastian was pulled into a sudden embrace by Jiro, both blushing like high school girls.

"No, it is necessary. I care about you Sebastian. You're one of my best friends in the entire world and I hate seeing you so sad," Jiro replied, his voice cracking at the end due to how embarrassed he was right now. Here he was a full grown man hugging a butler in the middle of June with a guy in a black and white coat watching them with an odd look in his eyes, and was blushing like a school girl.

"Jiro," Sebastian said in an airy tone, never before receiving such kind words before. Sebastian enjoyed being embraced and this closeness was very arousing. Kanda stood still, not sure what to do. He wanted to walk away and deny ever knowing these two gay looking men. However something felt..odd. There was a strange sensation building up in Kanda's stomach. He felt the urge to rip Sebastian from Jiro's embrace and do the comforting himself. This was, no it couldn't be. Yuu Kanda was not interested in another man. He had no interest in anyone really, but this man no this monster had peaked his interest. Something that was rarely ever done.

"Kanda, are you okay?" Jiro asked. He and Kanda were seated across from each other in a café, Sebastian was currently composing himself in the bathroom. Kanda had been using a crayon a waitress had given the trio for some reason to draw a picture of Jiro and was stabbing it with his knife.

"M'fine," Kanda mumbled as he looked down at his picture and continued to attack it. Jiro huffed before swiping the picture from Kanda, at the cost of a nice cut on the palm of his hand. Kanda smirked, clearly enjoying the fact that he had drawn blood from the man who got to hold Sebastian. Jiro wrapped his hand in a handkerchief and swiped the knife from the samurai. Kanda growled in anger before looking him in the eye.

"You know I'm trying hard here. I'm trying to be nice and be friendly with you, but you're really trying my patience. Tell me what's wrong," Jiro stated as he kept the knife out of Kanda's reach. Kanda merely clicked his tongue in annoyance and looked off to the side, but not before sending Jiro a hateful glare. Sebastian returned a moment later, his eyes less red and puffy than before and his skin returned to his normal pale shade.

"Are you alright Sebastian?" Jiro asked as the butler sat beside Kanda, who's mood seemed to have improved only a tiny bit.

"I'll be fine. I'm just not sure where all that emotion came from so suddenly," he replied, a weary tone laced through his voice. Before anyone could reply the lights went out and screams started to erupt from the establishment. In the darkness Jiro could see a few sets of gold and black eyes.

'No! Not here! Not now!' Jiro thought before an all out attack by the enemy started.
