Estelle had her knees to her chest as she watched the news on the TV in her hospital room. The local news were reporting on the museum as an attempted robbery.

"While staff were dosed with a gaseous sedative, no employees were harmed," finished the reporter who had been discussing the matter. "Do you want to take a look at my neck then," Estelle muttered to herself, shaking her head a little.

Suddenly she heard footsteps that were getting louder. She turned her head to see her sister approaching the room with two different people.

"Adelya," uttered Estelle, looking at the people who had accompanied her. She turned off the TV, using a remote and straightened her posture.

"This is Dante and Zhalia. They're colleagues of mine and the best at what they do. Remember I told you that I do investigative research and things," explained Adelya.

Dante spoke first. "We understand you're probably not up to too many questions but any information that you can give us would be helpful to trying to determine who hurt you. As we understand you found a man in your research lab and he attacked you. Did you see anything when he did? Did he have something like a pendant or…"

"He had something on his neck," interjected Estelle. "I saw it when I came in and he turned around." "Did he say anything that might have seemed strange to you?" Zhalia asked.

"The whole thing was strange," said Estelle before turning to Adelya. "You said that you believed me. Why are you…"

"These people believe you too," Adelya said. "They investigate strange occurrences. So whatever information you give them, will be helpful."

"He put his hand out and he said a word. Then I was choking and it was like Darth Vader. I thought I was going to die."

"Did you notice another person?" asked Zhalia.

"Another person? No. But someone had to have took me here to the hospital. The museum didn't know I was here or that I'd been hurt until an hour ago."

"Was there any broken doors or furniture, maybe even equipment when you came back from your coffee break was it?" asked Dante.

"No. There's only two entrances to the lab. One leading to the back corridor that goes to car park. It's useful for taking in deliveries and then there's the one I came through from the coffee break."

Zhalia removed her phone from her jacket pocket and showed it to Estelle. There was a photo of the lab she'd taken earlier that day on it. "This broken door. Is that the door you came through?"

"Yes. How did it get broken?" Estelle asked. "Are the remains alright? I need to get back."

"We don't want you worrying about that just now," said Dante. "Your sister has some things to explain to you. You need to rest and be careful. We're not sure what side effects, if any, that you might experience."

"Side effects?" asked Estelle.

"If any," reiterated Dante.

"You're meant to be an expert in this but you also don't seem like you know enough," said Estelle.

"This is a strange case to us but we're equipped to investigate what happened," Dante replied, reassuringly.

"Maybe you shouldn't," said Estelle, tracing her fingers over neck.

Zhalia's eyebrows frowned.

"We'll be back later," she said and lead Dante out of the room; leaving Adelya to explain to Estelle more about her job and who Zhalia and Dante actually were.

"I've never seen spells cause bruises like that before that have been caused by the spell itself. Sure spells can leave you with aches and pains but no markings on the body. Unless it's caused you to land into an object or a wall. Injury by proxy of a spell sure." "Bruising is more titans, I know what you're thinking but she didn't see a titan."

"Lots of people don't see Gareon," said Zhalia. "If the assailant was power-bonded to the titan then he wouldn't have to speak much." "This investigation is getting more and more...interesting," Dante said, substituting the word sinister for interesting.

Zhalia nodded, knowing exactly what he meant.

Lok Lambert's Home, Ireland

Cathy Lambart walked into her room and closed the door behind her before sliding down with her back against it until she was sitting on the floor, fighting backs her tears. "Cathy! Cathy!" Lok called to her desperately. He wasn't sure how she'd take the information that he had his mother had given her: about their dad, about the Huntik Foundation, about everything involving the professor, and the blood spirals.

They'd even shown her proof of spells and titans. They'd decided she was ready to know.

But Cathy didn't say anything after that, she just turned around and walked upstairs to her room with Lok going after her.

"Go away, Lok!" Cathy replied, wiping tears that were shedding from her eyes. She wasn't quite sure how she should feel. Though in reality what she did feel was a mix of anger, sadness, disappointment, and in an emotional sense - betrayal.

She had just discovered that her father used to be part of an organisation that deal with magical artefacts. She only just found out that he was trapped in a different dimension after years of secretly thinking he was dead. On top of that her mother and her brother knew before she did. They only sought to tell her because they felt it was right now.

That didn't make up for the fact that Lok and her mother knew more about her father than her, and where he was. It felt like her relationship with her father didn't matter to them. The spells and the titans were a shock but her family was the most important thing to her and she'd been left out of knowing more about her father. She wasn't exactly buying the whole "we kept this secret to protect you thing" they'd thrown at her either because they were telling her now and because her mother and Lok went to help out in the whole blood spiral mess they talked about. Her mother and her brother could have died and she wouldn't have known where they went or why. Did they even think about that? About her?

She just couldn't look at them. She just couldn't.

"Cathy. Please open the door," said Lok.

She didn't reply but she wasn't opening the door the door and letting him in either.

She had accepted when she got to her teen years that her dad wasn't coming back. She'd given up hope and accept he was gone even if she wasn't sure why he was gone. She gave up on him. That made her feel guilty but at that moment in time all she could think about was how much she missed him. Even if all she had was broken memories.

It was too much to take in and deal with her mother and brother and her current feelings towards them.

"Please don't shut me out Cathy," said Lok.

Cathy turned to the door and shook her head. Lok and her mother had shut her out first. He had no right to be there, begging her like that.

"Okay. I'll give you some time," Lok resigned and walked away from her door.

A/N I was going to have a bit where Sandra and Lok spoke to Cathy but I was struggling to get it right. So I skipped to her after reaction and focused on her feelings to it and how she'd feel towards her family and her dad and the situation.
