"So then I text Bradley saying it wasn't any of his business who I copped off with," Joelle said from her spot on Lily's bed mooching through Lily's make up bag.
Lily was standing in front of her mirror in her underwear trying to come up with an outfit for her day date with Scorpius. She needed to find something cute, yet casual, revealing but not slutty. Joelle offered to get the early train into Lily's village to help her pick an outfit but so far all she had done is sit and complain over the many boys in her life.
"And he said if I wanted to bang Harvey I could, he just didn't want me going with Aaron," Joelle muttered while she applied some of Lily's new lipstick. "That looks cute. I wish you'd wear something different to shorts though." She nodded to Lily who had pulled on a pair of tiny denim cut off shorts and an over-sized t-shirt that Megan had gotten her years ago; it had one large heart on the back with Freddie Mercury's face in it and a large heart on the front with Dave Grohl's face on it. Lily's two favourite artists.
"And wear what?" Lily asked. She tucked the shirt into the shorts and nodded to herself. "You do know that Bradley and Aaron hate each other. Brad doesn't care about Harvey; he knows he's just a passing phase so he has no concern. Aaron is way more experienced so he'll probably have worries over comparing." She fell to her bottom and pulled her hair straightener's over. "Put some music on, would you? There's a CD in there."
Joelle sighed but rolled over the mess on her bed and stepped over the endless amounts of clothes. "You need to clean this tip. You also need to get a better taste in music – my granddad used to listen to him!" She rolled her eyes when Freddie Mercury's voice came blaring out. "Oh look, its Emery's song."
"Oh fat bottomed girls, you make the rockin' world go round!"
Lily scowled at her best friend's smirking face through the mirror. "Be nice, she's lost weight recently – if you didn't dance and have sex so much you would be ridiculously overweight," she pointed out. She looked over her hair in the mirror and decided what she'd do. Instead of straightening it all so it ran smooth and straight down her back she simply tamed it a little from the normal wild mane that happened whenever she washed her hair. She pinned her hair behind her ears to keep it from her face but other than that she let it flow down her back in a natural looking wave.
Joelle giggled wickedly. "But I do dance and have sex as much as I do – speaking of which…" She whirled round and bounded over the room, effortlessly jumping over Lily's broad bed and landing on her tiptoes elegantly. "Are you and Scorpius gonna do it?"
Despite her best efforts, Lily felt herself blush. She looked away from Joelle's mischievous eyes and got to her hands and knees to grope under her bed for her Converse. "I don't know. I'm not going to lie and say I haven't thought of it because I have," she laughed, grinning up at her best friend. "But I don't want him to think I'm…"
"A slut?"
"Yeah. I mean, sure we've teased each other over sex before and our kisses have turned pretty hot, but sex? I don't know. Aha, found you!" She pulled out her pair of shoes and got up to sit on the bed.
Clearly having had enough, Joelle turned off Lily's stereo and picked up her phone. "If you want to have sex, then have sex. Besides you don't want to waste your time with someone who's shit in bed. The sooner you find this out, the better," she answered with a nonchalant shrug.
"That's your problem," Lily murmured in response, securing her laces. "You're obsessed with sex. There are other aspects to boys. They do have other uses, other than what they can do with their dicks."
Joelle rolled her eyes as she continued to text out a message on her phone. "It's not a crime to like sex Lily. Plus, don't think I don't know how much you and Finn had sex when you were together. You were like rabbits!"
"This isn't about me and Finn," Lily exasperated, lifting her little leather backpack onto one of her shoulders. "Now come on, we need to get to the train station."
"Have you packed condoms?" Joelle joked, before bursting out laughing and hopping gracefully across the room.
As a final thought, Lily pulled open the drawer of her bedside table and picked up a condom, slipping it into her purse before dropping it into her backpack. Then she grabbed her phone off the bed and slipped it into her pocket, following Joelle who was waiting at the bottom of the stairs.
Flicking her head down, Lily's best friend gathered her hair up in her hands and tied it off with a hairband, looking up at Lily. "So you have no idea where he's taking you today?"
"No, I told you. He just said to meet him at David's and we'd get some lunch somewhere," she explained, walking down the other set of stairs. "Maybe we'll go to a restaurant or something?"
"Oh he's so romantic!" Joelle mocked, jumping off of the final step into the hallway. Then both of them made their way into the kitchen where Joelle's bag was. "Is that Albus?" she asked, staring out through the large kitchen window.
Sure enough, outside in the garden was Albus, wearing shorts and a tank top, pouring the contents of his water bottle over his head and then running his hands through his hair. It was obvious he'd just come back from a long run, as he stretched out his limbs.
From the fridge, where she pulled out a bottle of water, Lily rolled her eyes and looked over at her best friend. "Quit dribbling Elle! We can't be late for this train!"
Joelle just waved a hand in Lily's direction and continued to stare out of the window.
"You do know he won't love anyone as much as he loves himself." Lily pointed out.
"Who cares about love?" Joelle muttered and pulled out her phone. Lily scowled when she realised her friend was taking pictures of Albus as he pulled off his sweat covered top and shook his wet hair out like a dog. "He belongs on a poster on my ceiling so I can touch –"
"Hey mum!" Lily shut Joelle up just in time. Ginny walked into the kitchen with a basket full of dirty washing in her arms.
"Hey girls. You two look very pretty, going somewhere nice?" Ginny asked on her way to the small laundry room which was really just a very large cupboard with a washing machine and a tumble dryer in there.
"Going to watch Elle rehearse and then we're going shopping." Lily lied easily to her mother. "Well, if we make the train we will. Elle come on. Albus is home for another seven weeks, you can ogle him any time!" she moved over to Joelle and grabbed her by the arm. "See you some time tonight mum! Don't do me any dinner, I'll grab something when I get off the train!" she called over her shoulder as she half walked half ran out of the kitchen with Joelle in her arms.
"Be home by ten thirty!" Ginny called after Lily.
"Hi Albus," Joelle grinned flirtatiously at Albus who opened his mouth to come out with some flirtatious line, but Lily wasn't in the mood to hear it.
"Bye Albus." Lily called over their shoulders when she marched Joelle out of her garden and in the direction of the train station.

Lily laughed at Joelle's pouty face.
"No, Elle. You're not meeting him." She laughed at her best friend when they both took seats opposite each other on the train. Lily put her feet up on Joelle's seat and she did the same to Lily's.
"Why not?"
"Because . . . I don't want anyone to meet him yet." Lily shrugged uncomfortably. "I wanna know what we have –"
"You wanna ride him before you introduce him to us guys?" Joelle grinned wickedly and pulled her phone out. From the self-satisfied grin on her face, Lily knew straightaway she was looking at the sly photos she had taken of Albus.
"Yeah. I wanna know this isn't just some fun for him before I introduce him to you guys." Lily looked out of the window.
"And you wanna bone him," Joelle muttered; a mischievous grin on her face as she looked to Lily. "Don't even lie to me Lil; you want to bang him as hard and as much as I want to bang your brother."
Lily just looked at her friend in disgust as the old couple on the next row gave a full on glare to her and her friend.
They spent the rest of the journey in silence, occasionally commenting on something either one had seen on their Facebook or Twitter pages, but after they both received glares from the old couple on the next row the topic of their sex lives remained unspoken. Lily was extremely thankful for this. She wouldn't exactly call herself a nymphomaniac… but she wasn't exactly a nun either.
"Have a good rehearsal," Lily told Joelle as she shouldered her bag and stood up, ready to get off at her stop.
"Have good sex. Use protection. Brush your teeth after blowing him." Joelle called out loudly down the train carriage. Lily just blushed and plugged in her earphones, allowing the instrumental piece of an Oasis track to drown out the sounds of other passengers disapproving comments about how unladylike Joelle was.
###
The early-summer weather was incredibly hot, Lily contemplated popping into one of the many shops and buying a thin vest-top to change into instead of the t-shirt she was wearing. It would be cuter… and would probably get a better reaction from Scorpius too. With a grin she dipped into the nearest branch of her favourite clothing store and quickly bought a much thinner vest top. When she heard a woman complaining of how the sun was shining in her eyes she grabbed a pair of aviator sun-glasses too. After paying and asking the cashier if she could use the changing rooms to change, Lily left the shop feeling a lot less sweaty than when she entered.
She wasn't surprised when she didn't see Scorpius standing outside of David's waiting for her – normally one or the other of them was late and today it looked like it was his turn to be late.
"Hey Lil."
She turned when she heard the voice of Preya Khan, one of her friends from the advanced literature class she and Emery were taking.
"Hey Pree." She grinned at her friend and accepted the hug from her. "How's your summer going?"
"It's going good." Preya grinned and stepped aside a little. "Lily, this is my boyfriend, Shamir Ahmed." Lily looked at the guy her friend was with and smiled proudly and happily; just a few months ago Preya was complaining to Lily, Emery and the other girls of their class that she couldn't hold down a boyfriend. Preya's family were strict Muslim but she didn't follow the faith and that was fine with her family, they still loved their daughter. Preya just found it hard finding a guy that her parents approved off and a guy who didn't mind that her parents were overly strict and incredibly religious.
"Nice to meet you Shamir." Lily held out her hand for the dark skinned, dark haired boy to shake. Straight away from the smell of cigarette smoke and the large tattoo covering one of his exposed arms, she understood that Shamir was simply perfect for Preya. He shook her hand and smiled at her as he expressed how good it was to meet one of Preya's friends. "So where are you two off to?"
"Just walking about mainly." Preya shrugged. "What about you? Meeting Elle and Ollie?"
Lily shook her head and pushed her hair from sticking to her newly exposed shoulders. "I've got a date. Jesus it's so hot!" She fanned herself and blew out a puff her own breath to try and cool herself down.
"You should tie your hair up, Lil. Sweaty, sticky hair isn't sexy," Preya pointed out with a small laugh and held out her thin arm, allowing Lily to take the hair bobble from around her wrist.
Lily grabbed it and quickly tied her hair up into a very high pony tail. She was just tightening the bobble when she felt a pair of strong, recognisable arms go around her waist the same time a pair of very familiar lips attacked her neck playfully.
"Scorpius! You scared the shit out of me!" she squealed, slapping at his arms and mock-glaring at him.
Scorpius straightened himself up and smirked down at her, his arms moving from around her waist but one of his hands caught her own and latched on to it. Grinning at the cooling feeling of his skin on hers, Lily stretched up on her tip toes to press a lingering kiss to his lips before she turned to Preya and Shamir.
"Pree, Shamir, this is Scorpius – erm, Scorpius," she introduced and then realised suddenly she didn't even know his surname. "Scorpius, this is my friend from school, Preya and her boyfriend Shamir."
Shamir and Scorpius nodded at each other in that way that guys do when they first meet each other and try to subconsciously measure who has the biggest dick which always made Lily want to roll her eyes.
"Are you guys off anywhere nice?" Preya asked.
Lily looked up at Scorpius who chuckled and shrugged his shoulders. "We're just gonna go for a picnic in the park. You guys could come if you like," he offered politely.
"We wouldn't want to impose… or make Joelle want to kill me if she finds out I've been on a double before her and Daniel have," Preya laughed, making Lily laugh.
"It's Aaron Cooke now I think, and you don't have to go –."
"No, really! My parents are at the Mosque for this wedding thing and my brothers are all working…" Preya trailed off, making Lily and Scorpius laugh lightly.
"Go have fun then," Lily laughed and shook her head at her friend.
She and Scorpius waited until her friend and her boyfriend walked away before Scorpius turned her and pressed his lips against hers for a much more urgent, enjoyable welcome kiss.

Scorpius pulled Lily towards him in the middle of the park, away from all of the screaming children playing on playground. He wanted to be with her as alone as they could in a public place. But it was a Muggle place she was familiar with and he thought she'd be more comfortable here.
Picking a spot near the shade of a tree, he pulled the backpack off of his shoulders. "This is a good spot," he observed as he zipped the backpack open and pulled out a blanket. He handed the blanket to Lily to arrange on the floor while he pulled out the Tupperware boxes of food that he had his house elves arrange this morning for him.
"I brought your favourite, by the way," he told her. He rummaged through the bag and pulled out a big bottle of mango and pineapple juice along with two plastic cups. On their last date, Lily had mentioned how much she loved exotic fruit juices, especially mango and pineapple. "It wasn't easy to find though," he added truthfully, thinking of how lost he had been that morning in the Muggle shop.
Her eyes sparked up with happiness as she leaned over. "You are amazing," she beamed, reaching her hand up to cup his cheek and bring him closer. Then with a small lick of her lips, she pressed her lips to his softly.
Even after knowing her for such a short period of time, she still felt so familiar to him. As always, she tasted of vanilla – a taste that teased him to kiss her more. He broke off to dot kisses down her neck into her collarbone, breathing in her subtle perfume that had the power to make him feel dizzy.
Out of all the girls he'd dated, and there were a fair few, none of them compared to Lily.
"If this is what I get for bringing you juice, imagine what I'd need to buy to get you into bed," Scorpius joked when Lily pulled back. He handed her the juice and cups and began fishing out the fruit he'd asked Binky to add in on a note from his best friend. According to Zoe, fruit was super hot.
Lily sipped her juice. "Only the beginning of the date and you've already made an attempt to lure me into sex." Over her cup she smiled as she handed him a cup of his own. "At least you don't beat around the bush."
"Why bother with subtleties?" he shrugged with a smirk.
"I have a question for you," she stated, fidgeting so she was lying on her stomach, propped up on her elbows and looking at him. The arch of her back attenuated her bottom, drawing Scorpius' wayward attention.
Popping the lid to the box of strawberries, he picked one up by the stem. "Go for it," he said, offering the strawberry to Lily and suddenly understanding what Zoe was talking about with the fruit.
"What's your surname?" she asked, quickly after swallowing her strawberry. "I don't mean to be rude. It's just when I introduced you to Preya, I realised I didn't know your name."
A small amount of panic set in with Scorpius, panic that made no sense to him but worried him nevertheless. Usually when he met girls, they were witches and would have probably heard about the Malfoy 'legacy'. As sort of a reflex, Scorpius had begun to lie about his surname, so as not to be judged before he's had the chance to get to know them. Obviously not to the witches he met in school, but the ones he met in the streets of the Wizarding world or around the clubbing scene then he would lie to them.
But Lily wasn't a witch. She had no knowledge of his family's involvement in the Second Wizarding War, because she didn't even know there was a war. Even so, that didn't explain what Scorpius told her.
"Greengrass," he said quietly, feeling a mass amount of guilt rise up in his throat. "Scorpius Greengrass." He couldn't explain why he lied, not even to himself. Perhaps it was an old habit, maybe it was a moment of craziness. Either way, he couldn't take it back, so he kissed Lily's brow and fed her another strawberry.
"It sounds very . . . manly," she quickly replied, smiling innocently as she chewed her strawberry. "Very suitable for someone of your manliness," she added with a cheeky grin, running her hand down his stubbly cheek.
He smirked. "Nice save," he told her, feeding himself one of the strawberries. "What's your full name then?" In truth, Scorpius just wanted to move the subject away from himself.
"Lily Dursley," she answered swiftly. "But I'd much prefer to be a Greengrass," she added with a laugh, sipping on her juice. Her laugh rung out like bells, high and soft.
Scorpius nearly choked on his food. "Wait, we're talking about marriage already?" he exclaimed, running a hand through his hair in mock worry. He knew she was just playing him. "It's only been a couple of dates! We haven't even had sex yet!"
"I'm kind of a no sex before marriage type of girl," she told him, placing her cup on the edge of the blanket out of the way and then sitting up.
Immediately Scorpius wrapped her up in his arms, tickling her around her ribs until she was wriggling on the blanket under him, laughing uncontrollably. When it seemed like she was gasping for air, Scorpius stopped but kept her in his arms. "You are such a tease," he murmured, kissing her face and neck randomly.
"It's what you love about me though right?" she answered breathlessly, cocking her head to her side.
"Yeah," he whispered, his eyes raking over every inch of her beautiful face. "That's what I love about you." He closed the small gap between their faces and pressed his lips against hers. As always, Lily didn't need much encouragement and it wasn't even a full second later when she started kissing him back.
When he felt her hands go to his hair and her arms tightened around him, he felt the effects towards the middle of his body. He knew she wouldn't mind feeling him against her, but he didn't really want to progress their physical relationship any farther in the middle of a crowded Muggle park. He pulled away from her mouth and shifted so they were both sitting up.
Scorpius laughed when he saw Lily's irritated pout.

"Your dad works in the police?" Scorpius whistled lowly and pretended to look afraid.
"Yeah. He's like the chief commander or something." Lily was lying on her back on the blanket and had her sunglasses on so Scorpius couldn't see her eyes. He was on his front by her side.
"Better be on our best behaviour then," Scorpius chuckled and reached out to play with her hair gently. "What about your mum?"
"She's a journalist. Sport stuff."
"What paper does she work for?" Scorpius was familiar with a few of the Muggle newspapers. In his Muggle Studies class, one of their ongoing assignments was to keep up to date with the going on's of the Muggle world and they occasionally had to write essays and reference the Muggle news.
"Erm, mainly freelance. You know, she sells her stuff to the highest bidder," she said with a shrug of her shoulder.
"Oh, sounds like interesting work," he nodded slowly. "Do you have any siblings?"
He frowned a little when he saw Lily tense and her lips quickly turned into a sour scowl.
"Yeah. Two brothers, older than me. Oh, my parents sort of have another son too. They helped raise him when his parents died like twenty years ago. He's a bit of a weirdo if I'm honest."
Scorpius guessed, by the change in her tone and the sour look on her face, that she didn't really like the guy and it stretched further than him being simply a weirdo. "What's wrong with him?"
She shook her head and stared at her hands. "We just . . . we're very, very different people and we just don't get on. My oldest brother, James, idolises the idiot though." Lily sat up and reached for a Tupperware box that had sausage rolls in them. She pulled one out and looked down at Scorpius.
"So what about you?" she asked between mouthfuls. "Any siblings?"
"Nah, I'm an only child. My parents took one look at me and were instantly amazed." Scorpius smirked up at her. He turned so he was on his back and used one of his arms as a pillow.
"Or realised that they could end up with another one of you and decided against it," Lily joked.
"Oh yeah? I'm guessing you're the perfect child?" Scorpius reached out to nudge her in the ribs.
"Yup. Took them three pops to produce this child prodigy. Kept trying until they got it right, you see," she smirked idly and flipped so she too was on her stomach. "What do your parents do?"
Scorpius bit the inside of his cheek as he quickly thought over how to play this out. "My dad has his hands in a lot of different pies. Business man, we have a family business – property lettings mainly, but he works in the banks some days, with the schools other days and he has a pretty good influence over some government departments too." Scorpius didn't technically lie. His dad did work in Gringott's with the goblins occasionally. His dad is on the board of directors at Hogwarts and he does have a lot of influence over some departments in the ministry.
"Wow. Let me guess, trust fund baby?" Lily laughed.
Scorpius noticed straight away that her face and voice never once wavered when he told her what his father did for a living – even Muggles realise that his father must earn a lot of money when they hear what he does for a job.
Then again he told himself, the daughter of the Police Chief and a reporter so successful she can freelance mustn't be exactly new to being the child of a well-paid parent.
"Something like that," he agreed with a deep chuckle, thinking of the private vault in Gringott's filled to the rafters with gold and jewels he inherited the day he was born.
"What does your mother do?"
"She... it's kinda hard to explain. She works with medicine but isn't a doctor – well she is, but she doesn't like treat people," he muttered and thought over how to describe to a Muggle how his mother researched and invented potions to cure illnesses and diseases a Muggle would never have heard of. "She works on the research part of medicines and the hospital." he explained, nodding slightly to himself.
Lily nodded once to and then smiled. "So now we know my dad is a bobby, my mum's a journo, your dad's a suit and your mum is a scientist – can we please stop using our mouths for talking?"

Scorpius kept a tight hold of Lily's hand as he ran through the rain. Halfway into their fifteenth make out session of the afternoon, the British weather had played well and truly to the stereotype and spontaneously begun to rain. The afternoon heat wave vanished and was replaced with torrential pour down within seconds, leaving Lily and Scorpius half-soaked and in the middle of a very muddy field before they could untangle their arms and legs from around each other.
The first thing he did was peel off his button up shirt and hand it to Lily when he saw that she was only in her vest. He picked up both of their bags and grabbed her hand as she gratefully slipped the shirt on over her vest which was very quickly turning see-through.
"There's a coffee shop up here – we'll go in there and warm up," Scorpius called over his shoulder to Lily who squeezed his hand to let him know she had heard.
Lily wasn't really paying much attention to where they were headed; all she was focusing on was the delicious smell that surrounded her the minute she put his shirt on. It was only when Scorpius stopped walking and pulled her inside a shop with a bright green door and the Irish flag painted over the letter box did she realise where she was.
Only one coffee shop in London had a bright green door with the Irish flag painted over the letter box.
"No, not this one – oh!" Her protestations were too late.
"Lily? Oh come on inside out of the savage weather girl!" Rosin Baker, Emery's mother, called out from behind the bar. "And who's this strapping wee lad wi' you?"
Lily looked from the doorway to Scorpius to her friend's mother standing behind the counter. Rosin Baker was the complete opposite to her youngest daughter. Where Emery had dark hair and a fuller figure, Rosin had shoulder length ginger hair, a pale complexion with a few freckles and a thin figure. Emery's older sisters all inherited their mother's looks – one of the reasons why Emery usually felt so bad about herself.
"Afternoon Mrs. Baker. This is Scorpius Greengrass-."
"Top o' the morning to you Scorpius my laddy and may Mary and the Lord Bless you." Rosin hurried around the counter to kiss Scorpius' cheeks before she hugged Lily warmly. "Now what will it be for my favourite London-lassy and her fella?"
Lily looked at Scorpius with an "I-told-you-so" glare as Rosin linked her arm through her own and directed her to the comfortable sofa in front of the window. "Now tell me Lily, are you well?"
"I am Mrs. Baker – how are you?" Lily sat down on the sofa and pulled Scorpius down with her.
"Oh I am grand. Absolutely grand Lily, thank you for asking. Did you hear about Teagen though? Our Teagen? Emery's sister, Teagen?" Rosin sat on the small coffee table in front of the sofa. "Scorpius, my Emery is Lily's friend and Teagen is Emery's elder sister. Not the eldest, that's our Keva but she isn't my eldest child, oh no that's my John Junior. Well our Teagen is my second youngest and well let me tell you, she's only gone and got herself a boyfriend." Rosin looked from Scorpius to Lily and spoke at a mile a minute.
Scorpius was completely lost but was too polite to say anything, but Lily was more than familiar with how Emery and her Irish family spoke and she easily understood what Rosin was saying.
"Really? I thought she and Ciaran were living in Dublin in a flat?" Lily smiled at Scorpius slightly. It was best to go along with the Bakers when they started gossiping about each other rather than say nothing.
"Oh they are and let me tell you so help me God if my Ciaran lets my Teagen's boyfriend treat my baby girl like anything less than the angel sent straight down from Heaven that she is then I will go back home and I will string him up by it and then beat my son with my shoe!"
Lily bit back a grin when she saw Scorpius' mouth move slightly to try and understand what Rosin was saying.
"Ciaran wouldn't do that though, Mrs B." Lily shook her head. "After what happened to Ciara when she was in Cork that one time –"
"Ah, you're right. You guys settle yourselves and I'll send Rori over with a menu." Rosin got up and grinned down at Lily and Scorpius. "She's a golden lassy this one right here, Scorpius."
Scorpius grinned and took Lily's hand.
"Seriously lad, this wee girl here took my sweet baby Emery in when we enrolled her at that godforsaken school when she had nobody. This girly is family to me for that. So May the Lord have mercy if you hurt this beautiful child." And with that she walked away.
Lily burst out laughing at Scorpius.
His face had turned slightly white, his eyes were wide and his mouth was in a perfect 'O' shape.
"How the hell did you understand that?" He pointed to where Rosin was previously sat.
Lily just smirked and accepted the menu that Rori handed her as she walked past.
"What can I say?" Lily shrugged and looked up at him teasingly. "Big families are my forte!"

"What's your favourite song?" Scorpius asked as they stood in the train station. Well, Scorpius stood, Lily sat in the last remaining seat in the entire stand and Scorpius was standing in between her legs, playing with her hair.
"What's with the twenty questions today?" She smirked, her hands never leaving their spot on his stomach. Lily loved the angle at which he was standing, since his shirt was still damp from the unexpected downpour from this afternoon she could easily make out his abs.
"I want to know everything about you," he joked, wrapping a lock of her wet hair around his finger. Lily looked up at him ever so briefly, a silent snort and a sarcastic comment coming to herself silently. Not everything, she thought to herself bitterly.
"Oasis, Wonderwall," she answered quietly.
Lily looked up when Scorpius didn't say anything, he was just looking down at her with the smallest of smirks on his face. Lately she had prided herself with the ability to understand what each and every single one of his infamous smirks meant. This one meant he was impressed with her.
"You know that song?" she asked curiously. "Not many people know the band it's like thirty years old."
Scorpius shook his head slightly but laughed a little. "Erm, no – but I know what Wonderwall means, do you?"
Lily just arched an eyebrow and glared up at him. "Of course I do! It's someone. Like someone that you find yourself thinking about constantly. The person that you are completely infatuated with." Lily felt herself smile serenely.
Scorpius coughed once to catch her attention. She looked back up at him to see that he too was smiling. He fisted her hair and pulled it so her head tilted upwards. It hurt a little, but Lily recognised the intense gleam in his eye and she found herself enjoying the pain.
He pressed his lips against hers and dug his fingers further into her hair. Lily eagerly kissed him back and parted her lips before he even urged her too. Her hands moved from his stomach to snake around to his back.
"Platform three for the 18.24 service to Hatfield, calling at London St Pancras, New Barnet, Hadley Wood, Potters Bar and Hatfield."
The overhead speaker booming around them announced Lily's train but neither of them pulled away from each other.

It was much later than expected when Lily finally said goodbye to Scorpius and got on her train. Admittedly they had spent a lot of time just making out, with small bouts of conversation in between where Lily was continually asked questions. As it neared nine o'clock, they both reasoned that it was probably time to let Lily catch her train.
As it pulled into Hadley Wood Station and Lily ran her card through the barrier, Lily checked her phone and sighed at the time. "Oh bollocks," she exclaimed, noticing how close the time was to her curfew. Plugging her headphones back in, she turned her music back on and headed up the hill and out of town back home.
Thinking everyone would be in the living room or in their rooms, Lily crept through the back gate and in through the back door to the kitchen. She pulled her headphones out and placed her phone on the counter, heading straight for the kettle.
"You're back late," an annoying voice sounded from behind Lily and when she spun around, she immediately regretted it. Leaning against the door frame was Teddy Lupin, the person Lily least wanted to see because she knew it would spoil her amazing day with Scorpius.
In an effort to try and ignore him, she moved to the cupboard to fetch a mug and then to the fridge. "Personally I don't even know why you are here. You're a twenty six year old man, don't you have your own place?" She pulled the milk out of the fridge and slammed the door shut in angst. The coldness of the fridge sent shivers down her spine and had her reaching for Albus' big hoodie.
"At least I like spending time with our parents," Teddy retorted, moving closer with his hands in his pockets.
Finding a decaf teabag, adding the water, milk and copious amounts of sugar, which in retrospect countered the effects of decaf, she gave her tea a stir and cradled the mug with both of her hands to warm her up.
"If you were cold, you should have just asked!" Teddy told her. In a split second, he had pulled out his stupid wand and aimed it at her. With the muttering of a spell, he smirked and tilted his head. "Nice and warm now."
Sure enough, heat began to radiate through Lily as the spell worked. However she was a Squib and no spell ever worked on her like it should. "You fucking asshole," she exclaimed, frantically trying to pull off Albus' hoodie. Her skin felt like it was burning and blistering and every inch of her was itchy. "I'm going to break out into hives now you utter fucktard." Grabbing the nearby newspaper, she began fanning herself, whilst trying to strip off layers.
"I'm sorry," Teddy quickly apologised, although for some reason, Lily didn't believe his sincerity. "I completely forgot."
"You're not allowed to do magic in the house," she snapped back, opening the back door to try and surround herself in the cold night air. "Didn't Dad tell you the rule?"
"I'm a twenty six year old man. I'm too old to have to follow his rules," he replied superiorly, twirling his wand in his hands. "Besides, I've apologised. What more do you want?"
"For you to leave and never come back," she answered optimistically.
At that moment, Lily's phone began to buzz. Throwing the makeshift fan down, she saw it was Joelle and answered, holding the phone up to her ear. "What's up Elle?" she asked while trying not to itch herself. Balancing her phone between her shoulder and head, she picked up her bag and tea and hurried up the stairs, trying to ignore how hot her skin felt.
"Why the hell did that fat bitch get to meet Scorpius before me?" Joelle's voice cried down the phone.
Taking the stairs to her room two at a time, Lily kicked the door to her room open, dropped her bag and placed her tea on the nearest surface before hurrying into the bathroom and turning the hot water on in her bath.
"If you're going to call Emery fat once more, I will hang up this phone. Bible!" Lily warned, rummaging through her products trying to find the oils she needed.
The doctor at their stupid hospital who treated people like her prescribed bathing oils that she needed to submerge herself in for at least an hour. And even then the hives wouldn't leave for another couple of days.
Through the phone, Joelle blew out a long breath. "Why the hell did Ollie just text me saying that Emery met Lily's new boyfriend today in London? How come I'm not allowed to meet him but that fat bitch is?"
With a roll of her eyes, Lily took the phone away from her ear and hung up. Then she shrugged her clothes off her burning body, adding the oils along with some soothing bubble bath and climbed in, the water still running.
Right on cue, Joelle was ringing once more. "Are you going to be nice for a minute and let me explain everything?" Lily quickly asked before her best friend could get a word – although she wasn't sure that her explanation of Scorpius happening to bring Lily into Emery's family café on the day Emery was scheduled to work would float with Joelle.
"Make it good," Joelle told her sternly.
Leaning back into the soothing water, Lily flipped her hair over her shoulder and blew out a breath before launching into her story of how amazing her day with Scorpius had been.
