Another super long chapter hahaha…
The original name was going to be "Where Did You Come From, Where Did You Go, Where Did You Come From Blue Eyed Ryou" lmao
Kyoko's last name was changed, since I was using the fruit "orange" instead of the color "daidaiiro" in it.
Enjoy!

Chapter 4: Sprained
3rd P.O.V.:
Kyoko's eyes snapped open to a world completely of light. "What...?" Thought Kyoko as she waited for her eyesight to adjust to this new world. Once her eyes had adjusted she noticed pale pinks, purples, and blues swirl around her. 'Where are... My clothes...?'
Out in front of her, Kyoko spotted an animal, it looked like a deer of sorts , but had small, leaf shaped ears, two straight, long horns protruding from its head and a large chubby tail- all of it was surrounded by blinding white light. "You again!" Kyoko said remembering the familiar animal from her other dreams. He, she- they- had been appearing in her dreams a lot lately. It was always there, out in the corner of her eye, but whenever she turned to look at it, it would disappear. But this time... it was there... right in front of her and just out of her reach. "What's a saola doing here...?" Kyoko wondered, noticing that her voice seemed to echo and absorb into the swirling colors all at the same time.
The saola stepped towards her and Kyoko reached out to pet it's soft fur as if on instinct. The animal nuzzled its head into Kyoko's hand in a friendly matter. "You're a friendly little cutie, huh?" Kyoko cooed.
THUMP THUMP THUMP
Kyoko's eyes opened again, in her own bed. "Kyo-chan~! You better not be sleeping! I told you that you won't be sleeping the winter break away!" She heard her mother chastise from behind the door. Kyoko groaned a response, signalling to her mom that was she was indeed awake. "I know mom! I'm awake, I'm just... laying down with my eyes closed for a few hours." Kyoko said.
"Kyoko if you're not out in five seconds, I'm eating your food." Her mother threatened. Kyoko gasped, offended, jumped out of bed, pulled on some basketball shorts from the floor, and almost flew towards the door. "Stay away," Kyoko growled as she slammed her door open and sped down the hall, "from my food!"
Nanako set down bowls of rice and soup and a plate of grilled fish on the table. Kyoko ran into kitchen, afraid that her mother had stayed true to her threat and was eating her daughter's food. She sighed in relief and sat at table. Beside the rice, in a small plate, laid a ball of homemade mochi. "Huh? Mochi?" Kyoko said as she sat down, almost drooling at the sight of food. Though she certainly did not mind having her mother's homemade mochi, it normally came with really big news. Like when her parents told her the family would be moving to America.
Or when Professor Shirogane and his family died.
Kyoko looked at her father, who was sitting across from her, to try and see what the big news were. But his face wouldn't show from behind the 'Miami Daily' newspaper.
Nanako sat down at the table with her own plates of food. Kyoko gulped nervously. 'What does the mochi mean? Are we moving back to Tokyo? Getting a dog? Did someone die?!' the tomboy's mind raced to figure out why they were having the glutinous rice treat. She picked up her chopsticks and began eating the rice and fish, occasionally drinking the miso soup from the bowl. The whole time Kyoko looked back and forth from one patent to the other. But during all of breakfast, they simply talked normal morning talk, asking Kyoko about what she's doing for the day and such. She answered each question cautiously.
Half an hour had passed and neither parent had mentioned anything remotely surprising. Kyoko decided that she was done waiting and put her dishes in the sink. She took the mochi ball and headed for to her room.
"Ah, Kyo-chan, one sec." her mother said before the girl exited the kitchen area. Kyoko turned quickly, 'Are they finally going to tell me?' she thought. "there's people coming to visit you, so stay for a bit then you can go out." her mother said in a casual manner. Kyoko narrowed her eyes slightly, that wasn't what she wanted to hear. That still didn't explain why her mother made mochi.
Nonetheless, Kyoko nodded at her mother and continued to her room. Knowing that people are visiting today, she decided to wear a red, plaid button up shirt, dark wash straight jeans, and a light brown, wooden bead long necklace.
Once she had put on the clothing, Kyoko made her way to the restroom to brush her teeth. Lazily, she put the toothpaste on the purple tooth brush and began brushing her molars. ' Why mochi?' Finding it too boring to just stare at herself in the mirror she turned to look out the window. Instead of green plants right outside the window, she saw a pair of childish golden eyes framed by light brown hair looking right at her.
"Ah..." was all that Kyoko could say as the toothbrush fell from her mouth on the granite counter. The two stared at each other for a few more moments before Kyoko quickly moved to open the window. "Come 'ere, ya perv!" she yelled she reached out to grab the person outside. But as soon as she was about to grab the shirt, the person disappeared right in front of her.
Before Kyoko could even think about was just happened, she felt herself falling out of the window.
THUNK
"Shi-Agh! Good God that hurts! "
Kyoko had landed right on her left arm, thankfully though, it wasn't broken. Years of skateboarding had made a her a pro in distinguishing how hurt she was. This was probably a slight sprain. Hopefully.
"Kyoko?!" she heard her mother scream from the kitchen window. "Ah.. Hey mom." was all that the young tomboy could say. After all, she did fall from the second floor.
Hachi hurried into the kitchen after hearing his wife scream. "What?! What's wrong?!" the man yelled until he saw his daughter outside of window, sitting on top of one of the green (now crushed) plants of the garden and holding her left wrist close to her chest. He sighted and leaned over the window sill, over the sink. "Come inside, I'll get the wrap." Kyoko nodded, got up and headed into the house through the back door. Nanako handed her daughter a makeshift ice bag made of ice shavings from the fridge in a ziplock bag. Kyoko thanked her mother and took the bag as her father brought the ACE wrap and began wrapping it around his daughter's wrist and hand. He finished rather quickly and Kyoko followed the treatment by putting the ice bag on her wrist.
"How do you manage to hurt yourself so much, Kyoko?" her mother asked. Though all three knew the answer to that question: Kyoko is a careless, clumsy teenager. The golden brown eyed girl gave her mother a goofy smile despite the pain from her wrist. She was about to retort a smart comment but a knock at the front door interrupted the family. They all looked at each other, but only Kyoko didn't know who was behind the door.
Mr. and Nanako got out of the kitchen and hurried to go open the door, though Kyoko stayed behind in the kitchen. She wasn't all that interested to see who was at the door. In fact, she hoped her parents would tell the person to come back another day due to her new injury.
"Oh, I'm glad you two made it." Nanako said once she had opened the door. At the door stood Ryou and Ichigo. Keiichiro had stayed behind at the hotel- flying usually made him extremely tired and it's a miracle that he was able to stay up for so long the day before. Both teenagers nodded at the woman. "Same here!" the strawberry girl said with bright smile as they stepped inside and took off their shoes. "Kyo-chan! Come out and say hello." Hachi yelled across the house.
Kyoko's P.O.V.:
"Coming!" I respond in English. Sighting, I grabbed my bag of ice, getting up from the tiny kitchen table. It isn't our only dining table, we have another one in the actual dining room, but for just three people it was too big so we only used it on special occasions and when visitors were in the house.
I placed the bag of ice my mom had given me before on my ace binded wrist and made my way out of the kitchen. I turned the corner into the living room and saw four people: my dad, my mom, and a girl with dark maroon colored hair, who was Japanse as well which surprised me- there aren't many Japanese in Miami, you see. (Now Cubans, haha, they're are a whole other, different story.) I saw them all, but only he caught my attention. Him, standing right in front of me, in my living room, with his golden hair, bright blue eyes, and a bright smile. I looked at my parents with a frantic expression, knowing that they understood what I'm thinking. 'Is this person...' I thought. 'It can't be. He died.' Both of them nodded and smiled gently and I felt my stomach drop and a lump form at my throat as a strong emotion drowned me. This emotion that I haven't felt in so long... It's almost as if I've forgotten the name of it...
I could only stare at this person with a face I'm sure resembled a dead fish. I could only stare at him as he stepped closer to me and said, "Kyoko-san... I'm really glad to finally see you again." It really is him. 'Ryou.' my mind seemed to whisper in disbelief.
His arms extended outwards as if to invite me into a hug and this foreign emotion crashed more onto me like waves to a rocky cliff. At that point, I could only let my body do what it wanted to do as I felt my right hand curl up and moments later connect with the cheek of the tanned blond.
"YOU PIECE OF SHIT!"
'Ah, this feeling... Anger.' I concluded, though my brain was going billions of miles per second. "Uf!" he exclaimed as he hit the ground with a loud and lively thump. "Kyoko!" I heard my mom scream. Though I was looking, or well, glaring actually, at Ryou out of the corner of my eyes I saw my father grip her arm and gently tell her to stand back. But all of this flew over my head as I concentrated on not hitting him more or else he really would be dead.
He, who let us all think for five years that he was dead.
The girl with red hair hurried over to him- I refuse to say his name- and helped him up. After he was up he nodded to the girl as a form of saying thank you, I guess, then looked at me. My breath caught at me throat and the lump from before returned as soon as his blue eyes landed on me. "Kyo-"
"I thought you were dead." I interrupted bitterly. He kept looking at me. "Why the Hell didn't you, at least, call or send some type of letter?" I felt my voice crack and saw him visibly gulp. I scoffed at him. 'Wait... The mochi!' I thought as my eyes grew wide again. I looked at my parents, feeling betrayed, "You knew!" My dad spoke up, "We just found out yesterday, we thought it would be better if you found out yourself-"
"Then I should have been told yesterday." I interrupted again. I looked at him again. "Get out." I spat at him. "Get the Hell out of my house." It was then that my wrist began hurting again and I noticed that my ice pack was on the floor, but I decided to leave it there. I turned and began walking to my room,
'This is too much.'
"Wait, Orejitera-san! We're not here just for this, we need to talk to you about something!" I heard a voice call behind me. I assumed it was the maroon haired girl. I turned around, annoyed beyond belief. "Kyoko would please sit down... Please...?" my mom said as she stepped closer to me and picked up the ice bag I dropped before, holding it out for me to take. I looked at the ice bag then at her for a few moments. I sighted and grabbed the ice bag and placed it on my wrist then went and sat down at the couch begrudgingly.
3rd P.O.V.:
Hachi nodded at Ryou and Ichigo, signalling at the two to sit down as well. Ryou's eye and cheek was starting to redden and swell slightly, Ichigo noticed, even though Kyoko hadn't hit him on the eye the punch must have been close and strong enough. The two sat down on the loveseat, Kyoko's parents on the three seat couch, and Kyoko on the one seat recliner. The tomboy eyed each person waiting for someone to start talking. Ichigo decided she should start talking and cleared her throat, but before she could get a word out Ryou had started talking. "Do you remember five years ago, when my father performed those experiments on you?" he began. Kyoko narrowed her eyes at the memory. Professor Shirogane was a great person and the experiments normally went swell, but there was blood drawing often and since then she had developed a pink, tattoo looking mark on the back of her neck.
"Yeah." she said, leaning back on her seat. "Those experiments turned you into a Mew." Ryou continued, "and because of this, you need to... save the world." Kyoko raised an eyebrow when she heard his words. "Save the world? A Mew? Yeah ok, the mental hospital is only a few miles away, you might want to check in. What's a mew anyways?" the girl deadpanned, still not very amused. Ichigo took this as her chance to start talking and started to speak before Ryou could. "We're a team of genetically altered girls. We transform into cute outfits and we fight aliens for the Earth, nya~!" The cat rambled, getting a bit excited. 'Nya...?!' Kyoko thought, 'Did she just say nya?' She stared at the girl, bewildered but gasped suddenly, "Did you say alien?!" the girl exclaimed. Slowly, Ichigo nodded. "Because of them, we need you to... Uh..." the strawberry girl started, but trailed off, not wanting to irritate Kyoko to the point that she wouldn't agree to going. "We need to move to Tokyo and fight. It's your duty as a mew, Kyoko." Ryou finished for Ichigo.
Everyone stared at Kyoko with expectant eyes. Instead she narrowed her eyes, "You want me to what?" she hissed. Nanako spoke at last , putting a hand on Kyoko's knee from across the coffee table, "Because of the attacks, you need to go back Tokyo." The girl look at her, bewildered. "Are you agreeing to this?! Dad!" Kyoko exclaimed , looking at her father, "We can't move right, you just started that new project!"
"Well, we aren't leaving... You are." he responded. All the teens looked at the parents surprised. "I'm going alone...? Who would I stay with? The rest of the family is in the south or Fukuoka." Kyoko uttered. Her parents were usually pretty loose with her, but letting her go back Japan all by herself was a stretch.
"You remember your cousin in Spain, right?" Nanako asked. Kyoko thought for a bit, and she remembered the fact that she has a cousin in Spain, but he was older than her by some years so she never bothered actually learning about him. Her father noticed her blank stare and sighted a bit, "His name is Takeo, Kyoko. He's moving back to Tokyo soon, so you're going to live with him while you're there... If you decide to go that is."
Kyoko tapped her foot lightly, pressing the forgotten ice bag onto her wrist. 'I don't want to leave... But the girl said there are aliens... What if he is there?' the girl thought anxiously. It has been six years since that summer, and ever since then she's been waiting for the green haired alien. Kyoko looked at Ryou, and after a long, hard glare, she tossed him her ice pack to use on his face and the blond caught it with ease.
"Fine." Kyoko murmured. "When do I leave?"
The suffocating tension in the room was lifted immediately and Ryou let out a long, relieved sigh while Ichigo began to smile wide. "We leave tomorrow, but I'm sure Shirogane-san can add another ticket to the bill." the girl imputed. "It wouldn't be hard." Ryou said, still holding his cheek, which had swollen up greatly.
"I guess I could leave tomorrow." Kyoko said. Her friends would probably be bothered by the sudden move, but The Crew normally dealt well with people moving, seeing that there was two other people in France and South Korea that everyone was still close with. "Great!" Nanako said, "Ryou let me give you the money for Kyoko's ticket."
The blond shook his head, "No it's alright, I can pay it." he said, standing up. "Actually we should be leaving. Ichigo and Keiichiro wanted to go sight seeing." Ichigo nodded, proving his statement.
"Oh, alright." Nanako said. Everyone made their way to the front door. As they were about to step out, Ichigo asks Ryou a question quietly and he nodded curtly. Ichigo turned to Kyoko and brought her phone. A small, pink fluff ball hung from the girl's phone and Kyoko noted how cute it was. To her surprise though, the ball began to grow rapidly in size. "Ah- what's-?!" she exclaimed as it began to float (or fly) in front of her. "This is Masha, sort of my little helper." Ichigo explained. "How adorable!" Nanako mused reaching up to pet it. "Mew! Mew!" it chirped and Nanako laughed.
"That's right, Masha, do you mind giving her a pendant?" Ichigo asked with a smile. Kyoko's eyes widened with Masha's mouth as it grew to a size much bigger than it a should and out came a golden stone towards Kyoko. The girl caught it with ease and proceed to examine it and the pink decorations on top. "What...?"
"This is your Mew pendant. It'll help transform so you can fight. Don't lose it, it could cost your life." Ryou cautioned before looking at Kyoko's parents, bowing, and turning to the car parked in front of the house.
Masha grew back to his original size and Ichigo turned to Kyoko once more. "Thanks for punching him. He need it." she said. Kyoko scoffed and smirked, "No problem."
They said their goodbyes and Ichigo went to catch up with Ryou as the door closed behind her. A sigh escaped Kyoko's lips, 'Guess I have a lot of packing to do...' and with that she turned around and walked to her room, closing the door behind her.
—Back in Japan—
Taruto teleported back to Tokyo as soon as Ichigo and Blondie left the boy's house. Or was it a girl? Humans are so confusing.
Either way, he flew as quickly as he could to find Pai. Having created a chimera with a tunnel inside so that he could listen to their conversation without Ichigo's pink ball of annoying ratting him out.
It took him a few minutes, but he finally spotted Pai in deserted street, observing a plant of sorts.
"Pai! Pai!" he called out as got near, "I know why they went to that other nation!" Pai stood up and turned to look up at Taruto with a raised eyebrow. "Oh? What did you gather, Taruto?" His gaze never left Taruto and the caramel hair boy landed in front of him. "I think they've found a new mew!" he exclaimed. Pai's eyes widened, how could they find a new mew? 'This could lead to problems in getting rid of the mews...' he thought.
"Oh, Pai what are we going to do?!" Taruto exclaimed, seeming to have thought the same thing as his older brother.
Pai's jaw clenched and he look at Taruto intensely, "Get Kisshu. We have to think of a plan." And with that, he teleported to The Other Dimension.
