White as a Winter's Night
Chapter Four - Dreams and Wishes
Jacob didn't know how long he had been waiting. And that was fine with him. Maybe it had been about an hour. Or a few minutes. It hadn't seemed that long, though the russet male had been enjoying his time people watching. Though, every time he saw a flash of blonde hair, Jacob felt his heart speed up. Though, it turned out not to be who he was expecting.
Then again, it had been like that for him the rest of the day. Ever since his almost fight with Nahuel. Every time he had seen a flash of blonde hair, he'd thought it was Snow. But it never was. And each class had been torture because every blonde or short girl within his sight had reminded the russet male of the small blonde in some way. Weather it be by hair color, eye color or... body type, Jacob had been on edge. Even though he had noticed this about the other girls, he'd always compared them to Snow.
And that helped pass the day for him. Hell, Jacob didn't even remember the rest of the day. It had been like a dream. Or a blissful fog. Either way, he had enjoyed his day immensely. Probably a little too much, seeing as the first thing he did back in his dorm room was beeline for the bathroom and wank off for about an hour. To, three guesses who, Snow. If anything, he got points for having a very graphic imagination.
Smiling to himself, the russet skinned man leaned on the bar. Something made Jacob blink, pulling him out of his thoughts, watching the door. Normally he would have stayed lost in his thoughts at this point, but a feeling had taken a hold of him. Something making him pay attention now. And then the door opened, relieving the very person his good day, and for the past two hours, had been based around. Snow.
She walked in like she owned this place. Like it was hers and everyone there also belonged to her. Then her sights landed on him. On all people in that room, on Jacob himself. It was then, the world seemed to slow down just for them. It wasn't quite like a romantic thing, more of a... Meeting of the minds type of thing. A familiarity that seemed like it had always been there. Though Jacob wasn't about to deny that he wasn't heavily attracted to her. Not in the least. Of course, when he blinked, that moment passed and Snow was standing right before him, smirking that smirk that made his knees want to give out. And he was sitting down.
"Well," she began, grinning as she stepped up before him, leaning on the bar, looking Jacob over, her blue eyes glinting mischievously, "you made it here. I hope you didn't get lost." The tease hung between them, and Jacob grinned, leaning down to her level.
Chuckling, Jacob shook his head, glancing around before settling his gaze on the small blonde. "Sweetheart, I don't think I could get lost when you have a smile that shines like a lighthouse beacon." Now that earned him a half curious, half playful glare kind of look from her, a smile tugging at the small blondes lips. Nodding slowly, Snow stepped back, just in time too, the stool behind her opening up.
As if knowing, Snow stepped up on the bottom rung as the man moved away from his seat, sitting down in his place the moment he stood up straight. She moved so elegantly and gracefully, as well as quick, Jacob wasn't sure what he was truly looking at anymore. There was just something that came from here. Something that made him want to lean in and kiss her breathlessly. But for the life of him, he couldn't place his finger on it. Shrugging it away, Jacob simple simply smirked as he watched her move as gracefully as a ballerina.
"Cocky as well as cute and funny, I think we're off to a good start tonight," she countered with a smirk as she looked him over. He wasn't as fancily dressed as she happened to be. A bit more casual and relaxed; A black fitted shirt, fitted dark blue jeans that made every part of his lower half look like it belonged to a rockstar, a pair black and white of shoes he'd found somewhere a few months ago that looked crosses between sneakers and dress shoes, and a simple leather jacket of his own. Any jewelry he had on was a simple tribal necklace from home, given to him by his father when he was fifteen, and a wrist band or two from his pack from his last birthday. Anything Nessie had given him was long gone now. Leah had hocked it and given him the cash. So, she wasn't so bad.
But none of that could compare with how Snow looked him over. It was like she was undressing him with that look. He felt like he was being caressed by her gaze, and oddly enough, Jacob was liking this kind of smoldering attention.
Somewhere in the back of his mind, the russet skinned man was counting his lucky stars. Tonight, he wasn't a bumbling, blushing idiot. He didn't ramble and look like a lost puppy, not like last night. Maybe running into the Brazilian earlier had been a good thing. Boosting his confidence or some shit like that. At some point, he was going to have to thank the girlfriend stealing foreign asshole. If Jacob ever remembered too.
Without thinking, Jacob reached out, gripping under her chin gently, tilting her head up. Just touching her soft, god was it soft, skin sent his brain into a fog. The look in her blue eyes however, was somewhere between surprised and cautious, her body tense, but as she stared back into his eyes, the small blonde relaxed, smiling slowly. As she opened her mouth to say something, the Quileute closed the distance between their mouths and bodies, not giving a damn at this point.
To say they kissed would be an understatement, Jacob decided.
Because the moment their lips touched, it turned into something so passionate and fiery, the russet young man was afraid they where going to spontaneously combust. They moved together in a rhythm of perfect sync, something Jacob hadn't even had when he had been with Nessie.
It was like the entire world had ended and they where the only two left. The only two people left in the whole world, and right now, they both needed something. Though, that something was postponed when the bartender knocked on the bar top to get their attention. Pulling apart with an audible gasp from the both of them, thank lack of oxygen, they both glared at the man behind the bar simultaneously.
"Yes, Frank?" Snow asked rather icily. Glancing at the blonde next to him, Jacob couldn't help but start grinning like a fool. Well, that made him feel pretty damn good about himself. She was pissed their kiss had ended too. Score one for the Jakester.
As if sensing his mental high five, Snow shot him a look out of the corner of her eye, followed with a small smile before she directed her gaze to the bartender. The man, needless to stay, looked psychically uncomfortable under Snow's negative gaze. Rubbing his shoulder, he looked anywhere but her, though it was getting hard for him to look anywhere but at the small pissed off blonde.
"Uh... That was a little bit too much PDA, Snow," the bartender muttered awkwardly, finally looking at the blonde, offering a sheepish smile.
Jacob snorted a laugh, jerking his thumb towards one of the back booths. "Oh yeah? Where was that last night when my ex and her boy toy where making out, not to mention, practically fornicating in the booth?" Shaking his head, Jacob sighed. Of course he'd get pegged for doing the minor version of things other people did. It'd happened all his life, and where it was no less annoying, Jacob tried not to let it get to him. What was the point. Rolling his eyes, the raven haired male leaned his elbow on the bar, shrugging his shoulders. "Anyway, sorry man."
Snow on the other hand, just snickered softly. Mimicking Jacob, the small blonde leaned on the bar, looking up at Frank with those October blues, pouting her apple red lips. "I'm sorry too Frankie," she cooed sweetly, which made the older man blush a little, looking away. Smiling softly, Snow reached forward with her free hand, patting his in away adults did to children. Though, Jacob just assumed they'd known each other for a long time. A friendly gesture. And after the said gesture was done, the small blonde continued. "So, can we get a couple of drinks? I'd like a dry martini, extra olives, and I'll bet my date here," pausing she looked at Jacob, winking playfully, "will have a beer."
"Something better than Budweiser," he added in, grinning a little.
Alright, so Jacob wasn't about to admit when she called him her date, he didn't feel like he had just started flying on a cloud somewhere high above. Higher than nine, that was for damn sure. Tonight was just going too perfectly already. Something needed to go wrong. Something.
When Frank pulled away, Snow turned her attention to Jacob fully, leaning on her own small fist, smiling at him. "So," she began casually, lifting a brow at him, chuckling softly, "I am glad you showed up. I was hoping you would."
"Oh really? And if I hadn't?"
"Well, I would have been sad. And might have hunted you down, just so I could get a greeting like the one I just got."
"I see, I see... I'll remember that for next time." Grinning a little, Jacob leaned forward, a small distance between their faces as he grinned a little more. "That is, if there is a next time."
The way she smirked made him want to just grab her and run, run far away and just... At this point, with all the things running through his head, Jacob would at least say this. She would not be leaving his bed for a couple of days. Or for a week. If at all. Ever again. Really, he should have been getting prizes for how vivid his imagination was.
Nodding her head slowly, Snow pursed her lips, looking around the room for a moment, before looking at him with a sly smirk. "Well, I did say if you came back tonight, that you'd have see what the second part would be." Lowering her hand, the small young woman waved it a little as she spoke, before laughing softly. "I can definitely say that you've earned another date. Just... When is the question."
The way she said it, Jacob paused, tilting his head to the side. He was about to open his mouth to ask when Frank returned with their drinks. Picking up his beer when it was set down, Jacob nodded, tipping the bottle a little towards Frank. "Thank's man." Smiling, Jacob took a long drink before turning to Snow, she was messing with the olives in her drink. "So, mysterious blonde woman named Snow, how long have you been in Seattle?"
Looking up at him, almost surprised before smiling softly. "A couple months, but I originally lived here when I was younger," nodding slowly, Snow took a long drink from her martini. Setting it down slowly, she looked down the bar, watching Frank as he tended to some customers before looking at Jacob. "I knew Frank growing up, and he let's me get away with a lot, but making out with a strange hot guy in his bar makes him a little... Antsy. I'm like his sister." And there that look was. That look that made Jacob feel like she was much older than she was. Though... That'd be impossible, wouldn't it?
Shrugging one shoulder, she took an olive out of her glass, popping it in her mouth. "When I was... 18, I finally left home and began traveling the world. I just wanted to see other places besides Seattle. Or California." Smiling, she plucked up another olive, the blonde played with it for a moment before setting it back in her glass. "While traveling I met my own big ex, you know the one that really sets you in that zone of 'what do I do now?'." There was a tired tone to her voice now, as if talking about it was making her tired, but she smiled softly, shaking her head slowly. "I kept traveling before just feeling home sick, you know? So I came back here."
Pausing for a moment, Jacob watched her pick up the same olive, popping it into her mouth. Her eyes looked far away, like she was lost in her memories. He wanted to say something, but Seattle was the farthest he'd been away from La Push. And it was a rather quick drive for him. Though, he supposed, after what had happened the Renesmee, he did feel a little home sick.
"But being back isn't like I expected it to be." Looking at Jacob, Snow smiled slowly, nodding in that sage like way. "Yet home is home, right?"
Nodding slowly, Jacob smiled around his beer as he brought it to his mouth. "Right." He said after his drink, and from there, the conversation turned to their likes, their dreams. Their... Everything. Just like the night before. Although, something about this conversation seemed... Deeper. More meaningful.
Though, Jacob couldn't place his finger on it, there where things Snow would leave out. But then again, he was took because some of those revolved around his time with Nessie and they were places he didn't want to go to right now.
Eventually they ended up on the subject of what they wanted to do later in life. And, somehow, Jacob wasn't surprised when they ended up talking about Snow's dream. With everything she had told him about her travels, her being what she was, didn't surprise him. Especially with the fact she got the photography job because she took a good shot for a well known photographer when he had to run to the john.
"...And so I ended up taking the job as the photographer. It pays well, and I do love taking pictures, but I like taking them on my own time and exploring to my fullest. You know?" Smiling, Snow ate her last olive, shaking her head a little, looking at the Quileute. "What about you? What's your dream?"
The question struck Jacob as odd, though, he'd never really thought about it. Though, he'd always had a knack for working on cars and anything car related, almost. "To be a mechanic." He blurted, blushing softly. Wow, the first time he'd blushed all night. Damn, and here he had been doing good with not being like he was the night before.
Shaking it off, Jacob ran a hand through his raven locks, smiling to himself. "I sort of inherited it. My dad was a handyman in trade, and he passed it on to me, but from a young age, I liked working on anything with a motor." Considering his mom had died in a car accident when he had been little, he was surprised he liked cars so much. "I've always dreamed of owning my own machine shop."
Snow reached over slowly, smiling softly, taking one of his hands in hers, giving it a small squeeze. Lifting his gaze to meet hers, Jacob saw a glint he couldn't name in her eyes. "Who knows, you could get the chance someday."
Once their drinks were finished, seconds and thirds included, and the bar had seemed a bit cramped as the hours went on. It had actually been Jacob's idea to leave, and walk around. He just... Wanted more time with her. More time with Snow. And he was more than glad to see Snow had the same idea. This night was just getting better and better.
After paying and making sure they weren't too tipsy, Jacob helped Snow off her seat. The way her hand felt in his... It felt perfect. It fit there. Pushing such thoughts away, he lead her carefully through the bar, smiling as he lead them all the way outside. Once they were outside, their hands parted, both of them smiling sheepishly before breathing in the night air. It was still early. At least for Jacob. And judging by Snow's body language, it was for her too. Checking his phone; You know, laugh lifting it out of his pocket, hitting the home button to make it light up and checking the time. The least to say, he was shocked at the time.
It was only about 11, and the late classes where probably just letting out. Or already had let out. Either way, the bar just happened to be what was open late enough to get a bite on campus. Nodding to himself, Jacob had been sliding his phone back into his pocket when Snow spoke.
"So why did you come here? Why not go... Somewhere more suited for our unrequited passion?"
The question caught Jacob off guard, looking down at Snow, who looked up at him curiously. It was a loaded question, but as he hesitated, she nodded slowly. "I see." She smiled, bumping him with her shoulder, nodding for him to follow her as she began walking. "So you followed her here, wanting to be close to her." The nod left him before he could stop it. The blonde nodded slowly, the both of them falling into sync as they walked. "I know how that is, Jake."
Jake. The way she said it was like a prayer... And he wanted to hear her say it some more. But god, he needed to get a hold on his hormones. "You better than anyone." He agreed, nodding once more. At that, the small blonde smiled, looking up at him through her eyelashes, nothing more needing to be said.
From there, they got quiet. Just walking along, eventually ending up off campus, wandering the city. It was comfortable, whatever happened to be between them. Walking side by side. Wandering the city the two of them happened to call home. And then, it got better.
It was while they where walking through the wear house district. Discretely and slowly, Snow reached out, taking Jacob's hand into her own. Normally, to be polite, he'd have pulled his hand away, but with Snow... It felt right. Smiling, he looked down at her, giving her hand a small squeeze.
Jacob could not tell you how it started. One minute they rounded a corner into an alley, the next... Snow was pressed up against him and the nearest wall, their lips moving together in sync. Hands grabbing and pulling, her tiny form moving against his as he picked her up to his height, her legs wrapped around his waist. Pressing himself into her, he heard her sigh between kisses, and it was the sexiest sound he had ever heard. It wasn't a bored sigh, not with how she was press and moving against him.
Groaning, Jacob shed his jacket to the ground, gripping the undersides of Snow's thighs, squeezing some. The next sound that came from her is when her own jacket joined Jacob's, followed by her little purse, her fingers busying themselves in his raven locks, kissing him as if her life was depending on it. Let's put it this way, the Quileute wasn't kissing her like she was his ex girlfriend. No, no, he was kissing her like she was his girlfriend.
Slowly, a rhythm was beginning between them. Their lips moving in tandem. Rands roaming, gripping, touching; Soft gasps, muffled groans as she wiggled herself a little lower on his waist, her hips grinding against his in the most sinful of ways. And Jacob was loving every single minute of it.
Just as hands where beginning to wander farther, and this we mean, under clothing. Moaning as he detached his mouth from her lips, he moved to kiss down her cheek and jaw, to her neck. Snow tilted her head back, giving him more room, a soft moan leaving her, her blue eyes fluttering shut, her chest rising and falling quickly. God it was sexy. And not to mention her skin was so soft and smooth. So... Perfect. He'd never felt something so soft and smooth before in his life. And he wanted to feel more before the night was over.
The way she was wrapped around him, pressing into him, and his already straining wanton, the raven Quileute was ready to say fuck all his rules and breath them. And the lustful look in her blue eyes was really beginning to test how much longer he could hold out. Smirking, Snow seemed to read his mind, pressing her chest into his, her soft mounds rising and falling with their combined panting.
Then, Jacob paused, hearing something far off. Snow seemed to hear it as well. Lifting her head as her eyes opened, she frowned, her gaze aimed at the mouth of the alley. So far, the only sounds they heard now happened to be their heavy breathing and the lull of cars from the nearby road. Licking her lips, the blonde looked up at him, smirking as she ran her finger down his chest, cocking a brow at him challengingly.
"Now, where had we-" She stopped when that sound happened again, this time followed by a bang near by. It wasn't a gunshot. More of that hollow bang sound when someone ran into something. Then it happened again. Followed by another, then a voice. It sounded like someone screaming.
Setting her down, Jacob moved in front of Snow, eying the mouth of the alley. There wasn't anything he could see other than an empty streets and the occasionally an overturned trashcan or loose trash bag. But nothing he could see that would cause those sounds. Turning to look down at his small companion, he saw her face had gotten serious and tense. Pushing past him lightly, Snow began walking towards the mouth of the alley, just in time too.
As if appearing out of nowhere, a small, obviously female shape burst through the alley's mouth. A hysterical sob escaping the girl as she rushed towards them.
"SNOW! OH GOD SNOW!"
Tensing, Jacob waited to see if anyone else was about to follow. And for a moment, Jacob could have sworn he heard another set of footsteps coming their way. Then they stopped. When no one else rounded the corner, the russet skinned man relaxed a little.
Jacob watched as a small redhead suddenly burst into the alley. For a moment, his whole body tensed, thinking it was Nessie. Though, watching the girl seem to suddenly trip and fall, Jacob winced. That had been right on her face too. Though, somewhere inside of him, he relaxed seeing it wasn't who he thought it was.
She wasn't Nessie. Nessie had always been unnaturally balanced, rarely, if ever falling, for any reason.
It was the red hair. The raven Quileute was sure it was going to take him awhile to get use to red hair again. He was sure that was going to take awhile.
Launching herself away from the bigger, taller form that was Jacob, Snow rushed forward, dropping to her knees in front of the girl, helping her sit up. Slowly, Jacob walked towards them, watching as his blonde helped the redhead sit up, brushing some hair out of the girls face. Though, seeing the girls face now, Jacob, he could see she was scared and crying, he was more certainly sure she was not his ex. Thank the gods.
As he watched them, the second the little redhead saw Snow's face, she threw herself into the blondes arms, crying loudly and rocking them back and forth. Although the blonde was shocked at first, she quickly wrapped her arms around the girl, attempting to comfort and sooth the girl. Though it only seemed to make the little redhead cry louder.
"Hey, hey, hey..." Snow looked down at the girl, who Jacob was beginning to see better the less she moved now. "Shhh, shhh, you're alright honey," Snow murmured softly, her arms wrapped around the small redhead. Looking back at Jacob, she nodded for him to head towards the mouth of the alley. Without further prompting, he moved and stood just around the corner. He didn't have his knife on him for moments like these, but his size alone might slow, whoever had been chancing this girl that is, down.
"T-They g-got him! They g-got him! They got him and ohmygawd, they're going to come for me! Snow, they're going to come for me next! You have to hide me! Help me, Snow, help me!"
"Abbey, calm down, you're not making any sense."
Jacob glanced over when the redhead, now he knew her name was Abbey, sniffled heavily, shaking as she sat back, pushing her glasses up on her head, wiping her eyes and nose, making a face as she rubbed her hand on her pants after. Taking in a shaky breath, she sighed it back out a moment later. Jacob moved forward to grab his jacket, having a handkerchief "A-Ace. T-They got A-Ace."
Turning his attention to Snow, the looked on her face told him everything he needed to know. Whoever this Ace was, he'd been important to not only Abbey, but Snow as well. And calling the police was going to be out of the question.
After Snow had managed to get the information she could out of the little redhead, now known as Abbey. she knew that being out in the open wasn't going to be doing them any good. Just, Jacob could see in the look on her face, she didn't have anywhere to bring the small girl. Which was when he offered up his dorm room.
Since he had no dorm mate anymore, Nessie having been his dorm mate. Either way, Snow agreed and after talking Abbey into collecting herself a little more. Once that was said and done, Jacob walked with them back to campus. He was risking a bit bringing two strange girls to his room, in the middle of the night. Though, seeing as he could tell neither of them had anywhere else to go, he wasn't about to leave them out on the street.
Jacob suspected Snow did have somewhere to stay, but a feeling told him the blonde wasn't going to be able to go back right now. He couldn't place his finger on it. Or why he was getting that feeling, but the russet male wasn't about to question it.
Once the three of them had reached his dorm building, Jacob looked around before typing in his id code, then opening the door, letting the two in before following behind. All was quiet, which around this time of night was normal, but Jacob was still on high alert. Someone had died tonight. And this Abbey girl had been next on the list of whoever killed her friend. That worried him. Leading the two girls to his room, he unlocked it, pushing the door open.
After the door was closed and locked, Jacob flipped on his lights, looking around as he ran a hand through his hair, looking at the two girls as they stood in the middle of his room. Swallowing, he gestured to his bed. "Um, have a seat. Make yourselves comfortable."
Snow moved towards the bed, only to pause when Abbey didn't. The blonde smiled softly as she put her hand on the smaller girl's shoulder. It was now Jacob got a good look at this girl. She was a little shorter than Snow, and Jacob was almost a full head taller. She was small, but she had a little bit of curves to her. Just a little. Though, it was then Jacob realized she looked a lot younger than Snow did. Roughly sixteen. And the short, curly red hair made her look even younger.
Though, something he'd just now noticed about her unnerved him a little. It wasn't enough to be noticeable, but if you looked for it, it was there. Blood. Instead of freaking out, something in Jacob told him it wasn't hers. Even though that made him relax a little, it made him wonder whose it was then. Then again, he knew already and that didn't make him feel any better. But if she had his blood on her, that means she had... Oh god... Shaking his head, the Quileute wasn't about to make a bigger deal out of it than it already was.
Sure the common sense part of his mind was screaming at him to call the police. To alert someone there had been a murder and he'd found the witness covered in the guy who got murdered's blood. Just... The way Snow was handling this girl, and the whole situation, something told Jacob not to bother. Something down in his stomach. That gut feeling. Instinct. Still... He still felt someone should know.
When Abbey noticed Jacob was looking at her, she shot him a dirty look from behind her glasses. He almost laughed because now he was getting a good look at her face, in proper lighting that is. It was young, and still had that young kind of roundness, youthful and... cute, like she was still growing into her looks. In fact, Jacob's friend Embry still looked like that, but then again, Embry still hadn't lost his baby weight either. But that was Embry.
Still, Jacob took a moment more to study this girl. From her big green eyes behind her glasses to her freckles, there was something about this girl that reminded Jacob of Snow. Looking up at the said blonde, she had fished her phone out of her purse and was texting away like a mad woman. Feeling eyes on her, the small pale female looked up, half smiling before looking at Abbey.
"Sweetie, why don't you get cleaned up, we're going to be here awhile."
Nodding, Jacob moved towards Abbey, who took a few, slightly fearful and tense steps back, gesturing to a small hall off from his room. "The bathroom's down there. Very private, and one small window over the shower stall."
After considering it for a moment, Abbey nodded slowly, sighing as she let her shoulders slump. Heading down the small hall, Jacob peaked down in time to see the bathroom door close and the light flip on inside.
Looking at Snow, he saw her put her phone away, sitting back on his bed with a sigh. He couldn't help but chuckle softly, sitting beside her. He noticed now she had taken off her jacket again, probably when he hadn't been looking, and he couldn't help but notice how in the shitty light of his room, that she looked even more beautiful. Though, any hopes of before happening where long gone. And Jacob didn't consider himself a one trick pony either.
"I know you're wondering who Ace is, aren't you?"
Blinking, Jacob looked up at Snow, then gave a little half shrug. "Not... Really. I assumed he was a friend." Nodding slowly, Snow let her shoulders relax, smiling softly.
"Was, being the operative word now." Sighing she rubbed her face, smiling softly as she closed her eyes, her small hands falling into her lap. The way she smiled as as though she was remembering something good about this person. Opening her eyes, Snow stared out across the room. Staring at something, yet nothing. "He was... Abbey's older brother. In a sense. They where just that... Close." The way she hesitated made his eyebrow lift. When she didn't say anymore, Jacob nodded slowly. "It's just hard on both of us, knowing another friend is gone."
Still watching Snow, Jacob waited for her to continue. When she didn't, he nodded slowly. Jacob knew there was something she wasn't telling him, but he wasn't going to push it. And right as he would have, the bathroom door opened, Abbey walking back out, her jacket in her arms.
"I'm tired." The way Abbey spoke, and how she was starting to sway in place, made that very obvious. Though, Jacob wasn't about to comment on that. "Is there somewhere I can sleep?" She asked in a hollow voice, slowly turning towards them, looking between Jacob and Snow. Glancing at Snow, he nodded, getting off his bed.
"Yeah, you can sleep here. I'll take the floor." Rubbing the back of his head awkwardly, the russet skinned young man looked between Snow and Abbey. He wasn't sure how long they'd be there, but if Abbey needed to crash, he wasn't about to turn them out. Not after how the little redhead had come bursting into their lives. Well, Jacob's at least. Looking between the two, he knew neither of them would probably want to sleep in their clothes. "Um... I'll get you two something to change into..."
Walking over to his dresser, Jacob opened his shirt drawer. Glancing back at the two girls, the brunet knew any of his shirts where going to swallow both of them whole and then spit them out again. Though, it was all he had. Frowning as he turned back to the dresser, the russet colored young man pawed through what he had, finding a few of his shrunken shirts, he pulled those out, holding them up before glancing back at the two.
Abbey was sitting on his bed, leaning on Snow looking half awake, while Snow on the other hand had wrapped her arm around the small redhead, as if supporting her. Smiling, Jacob grabbed one of his bigger shirts for himself, closing the drawer with his hip. "Here. These should be a bit big, but fit." Tossing Snow the shirts, he smiled seeing the blonde catch them, nodding as she rubbed Abbey's back, trying to wake up the redhead.
"I'll change... In the bathroom." Looking up at him, the Snow smiled one of her knowing smiles. She knew he was leaving them to change in privacy.
Heading down the short hallway to his bathroom, Jacob closed and locked the door behind him. Not sure why, but hearing the lock made him relax a little more. The night had just been going from bad to strange and now to it's end. Not that he was blaming either of the two young women in his dorm room right now.
Changing slowly, Jacob processed everything in his head. Everything was screaming off the charts, yet the key thing he needed to get it all together was just out of his reach. It should have been so simple. He knew it was something he already knew. Something imprinted into his brain. Something from... Home.
Looking at himself in the mirror, Jacob frowned at himself. Something wasn't fitting together. Something important. But forcing it wasn't going to work. Especially with him. It would come to him, the brunet was certain of it.
Stripping slowly, the russet skinned male left his bathroom a few minutes later, walking back out into his room. Looking at his bed, he wasn't surprised to see Snow and Abbey already laying down, the blonde stroking her friends hair. Looking up when he came in, Snow smiled at Jacob. And it was right then he noticed how good she looked in his shirt. Inwardly groaning, he smiled back, then back tracked into the small hall, opening the closet just behind the corner of the wall. A moment passed before a quilt and a pillow where tossed out, followed by the sound of the closet closing.
Chuckling softly, Snow sat up on her elbow, lifting a brow as Jacob emerged back into the room. "You're serious about sleeping on the floor?" The way she said it made it sound like she wasn't expecting him to mean it. Jacob looked at her, nodding slowly.
"I am."
"You... Can lay with us. Well, with me. Abbey sleeps like the dead."
He'd just started to layout his quilt like a sleeping bag, looking up at Snow slowly. He noted she was blushing a little, looking anywhere but him. "Are you... sure?"
"Pretty sure."
The following morning, Jacob smiled in his sleep, feeling a shape curled up into his chest. Slowly, the russet male began to wake up. When his hearing returned to him, he noted there where two sets of deep breathing besides his own.
Opening his eyes, in the dim light of his room, Jacob yawned as he sat up in his bed. It was then he noticed two shapes in his bed. Lifting a brow, still in his half awake state, the brunet reached out, pulling the blankets back. The was then Jacob threw himself back, subsequently falling out of his bed.
There where two girls in his bed. No. Not just two girls. Definitely not just two girls.
One was the woman who had haunted Jacob's thoughts for an entire day, and well, now she was asleep in his bed. Snow. Was in. His bed. And she wasn't alone. It was as though this moment couldn't get any better for him.
There was a force out there, laughing at him. Making sure Jacob was both enjoying and suffering in this moment. Why? Well, both Abby and Snow where still asleep in his bed. And still wearing his clothes. Yeah, he was both relishing in this and suffering in it.
Author's note -
Hey everyone, it's me again!
Here's the next installment of the story, and with a new surprise!
Yes, a long time fan and bestiest friend of mine has been introduced to the chapter.
And for now, only her nickname is going to be open to the public.
So I hope you all enjoy, and I know Abbey, you're bouncing in your seat right now. X3
Edit -
And here is the updated chapter four!
Five is in the works, and I hopefully will get it done soon.
I'm very excited to get this story moving again, especially since I'm loving the Snow/Jacob dynamic, mostly because I despise the Renesmee/Jacob and Jacob/Bella ships for various reasons.
I hope you're all still reading and hoping for an update, please let me know in the comments.
