Chapter 3: First Impressions
The rest of the plane ride was rather peaceful. I stirred awake to see one Becky Lynch peacefully asleep. Her fiery orange hair positioned perfectly over her eye. I wanted to wake her badly, but I let the girl have her rest, after all I was sure that she'd been checking on me all night herself. Hell, I probably would be back home at a hospital in London if it hadn't been for her. After looking over her, I looked out of the window into the clear blue skies. I had a lot of questions still. What if WWE U isn't what I imagined it to be? What if I don't have what it takes? Then it dawned on me. What Becky said earlier before we both nodded off. She said she was interested to see what I could do in the ring… That meant that she was going to the school too, or that meant not definitely. But more than likely, and I like those odds.
There is a god. There is a god.
I saw a group of large buildings in the distance. The beach, the Keys, just the whole vibe was unmistakable. Miami was here. Meaning so was WWE U. I had to wake Becky up now. She might be a little pissed if I do but I'm one hundred percent positive that she was just as excited if not more than excited to be there as I was. I shook her gently, hopefully she wasn't having a nightmare or something, I really didn't want to get punched or anything. After the first attempt, she stirred softly, murmuring something I couldn't quite understand. The second attempt was met with more resistance on her end with her tossing and turning about, her murmuring now turning into full-blown words, you can easily hear her say 'leave me alone' and 'stop' among other things. I shook her one more time, this time she promptly landed a blow to my chest, knocking the wind out of me and forcing me to hold in a yell. Becky stretched and eyeballed me before blinking. That was her way of asking why the hell I woke her up in the politest way possible I guess. "It's very rude to wake a girl up from her sleep Sterling." She said, still stretching, waiting for her body to adjust to what was now early morning. "Well, I couldn't let you miss this." I defended as she was fully aware and awake now. "Miami, huh? A lot different from where I come from." She stated. I playfully scoffed at her before laughing. "You and me both my dear Becky. Just by looking out the window it probably feels better here than it ever does in London." I said pointing out all of the sand, beaches, and at the sun. We then made small talk for about the rest of the plane ride. The plane landed about thirty minutes after we had both been awake for about thirty minutes. The airport was hectic. Sure, I've been in London during the Premier League season, hectic in itself, but it was crazy. I guess people vacation in Miami, and why wouldn't they. Shortly after getting off the plane, Becky and I grabbed our luggage from the baggage claim and before we headed off I grabbed her. "What now, Sterling?" she asked, not annoyed but rather wearily. "Do you have a clue as to where we're supposed to be going?" I asked, hand over my heart as if she'd broken it. "Of course, you didn't get the message?" She replied, looking over her shoulder to face me. "What mess-" My phone vibrated, forcing me to divert my attention away from Becky for the moment to see what it was. "Hold that thought Ms. Lynch." I said looking at the message sent to me from WWE U.
Attention to all WWE U students,
Welcome to Miami and Welcome to WWE U. Once you arrive at the airport you will find vanpools awaiting you in the front. These school vehicles can fit up to 10 students meaning don't be shy! No matter what class you are, you will be participating in orientation once you arrive. For freshman you will have seniors give you a tour, sophomores will have an activity with juniors. After orientation you all will be able to choose your roommates no matter what class or gender they belong to.
Until then, Go U!

"Never mind. I got the message."I said, placing a hand on my neck and rubbing it. Becky rolled her eyes before we continued to the front with our suitcases in tow. "Soo…." I began as we were almost at the doors to the front entrance of the airport. "Tell me something. Why did you want to go here? You know to WWE U?" I asked, continuing. Becky then smiled at me then began to speak, but she raised a finger instead."Do you always ask this many questions?" she asked, but I kind of saw it coming. So I decided to enjoy some banter with the orange-haired lass. "To reply to your question. Do you always answer a question with a question?" I asked, and with that I pretended to drop a mic then turned and walked away, to Becky's delight. "Alright… Alright well, I've wanted to be a wrestler ever since I was a kid, you know? Made title belts out of cardboard, made my own entrances, I even practiced moves at a wrestling school. Then I heard about the school and packed my bags. Nothing more to it, I mean once we get there I'll tell you how I'm feeling about it. Sound cool?" She asked, reaching a hand for the front of the door. "So just how-"I began to speak, but my answer was revealed when I opened the door tosee a ton of students surrounding the vans that were going to be taking us to WWE U."Never mind." They answered my question for me. It was no doubt a sea of future wrestlers, men and women alike. Most if not all of them were socializing with one another. "So I'll catch you-"I began, only to see Becky head off to the nearest van and sitting in the shotgun.
"Later." She said she was eager to get there but I didn't think she'd move quicker than a cheetah. Hmm. Maybe I could race her one day. I'd probably win. No, I'd definitely win. I quickly shrugged the thought off before bumping into a rather tall individual. He was around 6'9, way taller than I and he was light, not skinny, but he could definitely hold his own in the ring. I quickly noticed my mistake and was immediately sorry I didn't want to step on any toes, but I was definitely going to ruffle some feathers when the time came in the ring. "I'm sorry I didn't see you there." I said, hanging my head somewhat.
"It's cool dude. I believe you. My name's Eric." He seems like a nice guy. Only weird thing is that I'm not used to looking up to talk to individuals so yeah, that was a bit weird for me, but I'm sure I can get over it. "The name's Jordan, but hopefully one day you'll be calling me champion." I said, my tongue and body energized with confidence. "Heh. Keep that mindset and swagger and you'll get there my friend." He said, placing his fist out for me to bump it to which I readily returned. "You excited to be going to this school man?" he asked, as we stood their chatting amongst ourselves. "I mean yeah. I never thought I'd be here right now, honestly." I replied, thinking back on my match with Boyd. "I feel you. I was just known as "that one tall kid" in school. I played a little basketball, didn't really enjoy it like I thought I would. I had to find something that would fit me, I mean I was tall. Then I found chess. Sounds crazy, right? This tall kid who could practically dominate any sport he played chose wrestling. I didn't even go for that in high school either. But that's why I'm here really. To show that I'm not just another lethargic big guy who intimidates everyone. I have plans with this you know?" He said, somewhat clenching his fists. This guy means business and he has reasoning for being here. Not because he wanted to try this thing, nor did he just see it as a hobby, but as a proving ground and I can respect that not only as an aspiring wrestler myself but as a person. "Sounds legit to me man. This is only the first step. There's a lot to come down the line for you, especially if you're a mobile big man. On top of that you seem easygoing. Room for a lot more people like you in this business if you ask me." I said, shrugging my shoulders.
"Sounds good to me. Hey, out of curiositywho was that orange-haired girl that you walked out with? Relative? Friend? Or more than friends!? Dude, that's totally your girlfriend isn't it?" He asked rather excitedly. I turned slightly, not allowing him to see me smile somewhat, triggering the thought in my mind. "Nah. Becky isn't my girlfriend. I just happened to meet her on the plane ride over. I wasn't looking my best at that particular moment." I said casually, trying not to sound to excited.
"That has to count for something right? I mean- Wait! That means you spent a whole eight hours on the plane with her!" He realized patting me on the shoulder. "My son! "He exclaimed, getting a lot of awkward and weirded out looks from our acquaintances. I, for one thought it was funny. I'm darker than he is, we have different hair, and I have a slight British accent, so there's no way I could pass as his son. Right? "Come my son! To the van!" He yelled once more, dragging me along in the process. Yeah, we were going to get along quite fine.
Meanwhile, at WWE U…
(The upperclassmen are currently waiting in the front awaiting for the sophomore and freshman classes to arrive. Nikki heads in to see where Roman went and she catches him looking deeply at the trophy case.)
"Are you done yet Roman? They should almost be here by now. What are you even worried about?" Nikki asked, staring at Roman intently as he was looking at himself though the glass in the trophy case. "Me, worried? Are you kidding? That's funny Nikki. Where do you get your sense of humor? From John?" He replied sternly. Nikki then left Roman to his brooding before muttering that John was funny. At times anyways. She then walked to the front entrance of the school where there was a collection of other senior students. John, Randy, Brie, Natalya, Bray, and a whole host of more senior students were currently putting final touches on the front for the new arrivals attending the school. John came up to her after he'd seen her walk out of the front doors, sweeping her off of her feet and into a kiss. "John! Don't you know that they'll be here soon!" She shrieked, happily but on the other hand she wasn't expecting John to do that at all. "Alright I'll put you down." He did so, slowly placing her back on her feet. "Is everything almost done?" She asked. Before John could answer, Randy interjected. "Of course, with super Cena, anything is possible." He said a smirk on his face. Cena then bowed before heading off somewhere with Nikki. Randy then looked at the school logo plastered right in the middle of the front entrance and the lot that held all the vans.
"Well, here's to another year at WWE U."
Back at the airport, the vans were filling up and most of them quickly filled up. Another student, a girl who was around 6'0 and had shoulder length auburn hair, had entered a van that was halfway full. Many of the other students on the van tried to speak to her however only one thing was on her mind.
Father. Here I come.
Another girl who had gotten in another van had nothing to lose. At least she felt that way. She had light brown skin along with black hair to go with her hazel eyes. She'd always knew that she was going to be here. Hell, she was always one step ahead of everyone else, she liked it that way. To make things even better, she has her cousin by her side. She knows that this school and this year could be hers for the taking.
Look out WWE U, the Wilde Child is coming for you.
Her cousin who sat right next to her, had long black hair. She looks somewhat like her cousin, except for the fact she has brown eyes and a curvier build. She knows how to wrap things around her finger, it isn't her fault she knows how to get what she wants, nor is it her fault that she's the center of other people's attention. That's their problem not hers. Is she a brat? To you maybe, but in her words she's only sophisticated. She can live with that.
I not only look good; I can handle myself in the ring too. WWE U is about to get a lot more beautiful.
The vans all headed off to their respective location: WWE U.
Inside another van, a 6'4 tan eighteen year-old is thinking about his success at the school. He has family here. None other than the Show-Off Dolph Ziggler. He has thought about some of Dolph's greatest moments. His cashing in of Money in The Bank on Alberto Del Rio the night after Raw, His overcoming of the Authority at Survivor Series… He's proud of his brother. He simply wonders if he will be able to make any memories of his own. He's capable. Nobody would dare question his athletic ability.
WWE U, meet Manik. A.K.A: The workhorse who plans to have titles to show for his effort, drive, and motivation.
Meanwhile at WWE U, the upperclassmen await the arrival of the underclassmen.
There is a girl with mocha brown skin who was sitting atop the steps leading up to the front door. She doesn't have too much on her mind. She's simply twisting around in her ombre black and brown hair. She can't wait to show her skills in the ring. She also can't wait to see her friends to tease them about whatever.
Another year at WWE U… A new group of friends that I can enjoy.
Roses are red, violets are blue, this little rose will show the school what she can do.
There is another man who is leaning against a pillar just outside of the school, his raven black hair flowing in the breeze. He's 6'0 tall, but he doesn't care about that. He doesn't really care about the underclassmen coming in. He's more concerned with his enemies and adversaries knowing who he is and what he does. He has a sense of justice; he seeks it himself. Thugs, two-bit gangsters, and anyone who thinks they have the gift of gab, watch out. He'll give you a run for your money.
I guess now's a better time than ever to care about the whole upperclassmen thing. Nah, I have people to beat. Maybe… once that's done… Nah! Who am I kidding? I just have people to beat.
The vans had finally made it to the school. The future students of the school too in its breathtaking majesty. Vince had the money sure, but none of them expected the luxurious grandeur that was WWE U. One thing was for certain though, they had arrived. Now all they had to do was survive, not get lost, and endure whatever warranted in orientation. Welcome to WWE U.
A/N: Alrighty, I got another chapter done for you guys. Please tell me if you feel your OC is out of character, or if you have any suggestions, or even if you just enjoy the story, tell me! It helps when you guys do. So how will the upperclassmen feel about the lower classmen? What challenges face the students? You'll find out, I'll make sure of that. Read and review though!
Until then, watch Extreme Rules this Sunday!
