Before you read this, just one quick note. I saw a post on Tumblr about Nathaniel being Miss Bustiers son so I decided to include that in the story because it's so adorable.

The post is by artxauroraxart.

Also, Chien thank you for the awesome suggestion, and SleepinBeautyK thank you, I actually passed my Spanish Final.

Sorry, I'm babbling. Okay, I'm shutting up now.

At an abandoned parking lot, two blue and white buses were waiting there with a small crowd surrounding them. Caline Bustier, one of the teachers at Françoise Dupont School, stood in front of the buses with a clipboard in her hands.

Standing next to Miss Bustier was her teenage son, Nathaniel. The boy was currently sketching in a notebook. Miss Bustier smiled down at her son before reaching down and taking the notebook from his hands.

"Mom!" Nathaniel exclaimed, his long bang covering one of his eyes.

"You promised that you would try to make friends this year," Miss Bustier said firmly, "You can't do that if you're always sketching in your book. So, why don't we start by helping me get all the students registered,"

Nathaniel huffed before looking at the crowd of new students hoping to attend the school. Most had come here with their parents while others seemed to be by themselves.

"You also promised that you wouldn't embarrass me in front of the other kids anymore,"

"Well, let's hope that we both keep our promises," With a smile and an arm around her son, Miss Bustier began to walk towards the crowd of new students.

The first set was a girl, roughly around 15, with messy pink hair and a cap on her head. In front of the girl was an older man, most likely her father, and he handed her an old looking watch, "Now be sure to take very good care of it,"

"I'm stoked to have this, Dad. Thank you," the girl said as she held the watch in her hands.

Nathaniel hid behind his mother as she approached the father and daughter.

"Hello there," she greeted, "I'm Miss Bustier, I'll be your daughter's' teacher this year,"

"Very nice to meet you," the man greeted while shaking her hand, "I'm Mr. Kubdel and this is my daughter Alix,"

"Nice to meet you, Alix. Your brother Jalil has been expecting your arrival." Miss Bustier then wrote something on her clipboard, "Now that you're registered in, you can bring your belongings onto the bus and we'll be leaving shortly."

The mother and son walked away so that Alix could say her farewells.

Meanwhile, Marinette and her parents just arrived in the parking lot. Tom held both of Marinette bags while the girl looked at all the other students being registered by Miss Bustier.

"I don't know about this," the girl said nervously, "Maybe we should just go home."

"Marinette, you said you were going and that was final, remember?" Sabine reminded

"No, I.. I don't remember that at all!"

"I do," Tikki said from Marinette's purse, causing the girl to pout in defeat. A woman with a clipboard in her hands and a boy trailing behind her began to approach the family.

"I'm Miss Bustier, I'll be your teacher at Françoise Dupont. What's your name, dear?"

Marinette looked at her parents one more time before turning back to the teacher, "Marinette Dupain-Cheng,"

"Nice to meet you," Miss Bustier then pulled the boy to stand next to him, "This is my son, Nathaniel. He'll be in your class this year,"

"Mom!" Nathaniel hissed embarrassed and tried to hide behind his bangs. Marinette smiled kindly at the boy, who was blushing madly beneath his red hair.

"Well if you're all set, you can go ahead and board the bus. The one on the right is for girls,"

Marinette turned to her parents with a glum expression, "I'm really going to miss you guys,"

"We'll miss you too, sweetie but we'll see you on Christmas and you'll be back home this summer," Sabine reassured even though she looked ready to cry as well

Marinette wrapped her arms around her parents and held them close as they held her tightly.

"And when you get back, we're gonna have a rematch," Tom whispered into Marinette's ear.

Blinking away her tears, Marinette slowly pulled away, "I better get going," she said and grabbed her pink backpack and dotted duffel bag. After giving each of them one final kiss on the cheek, Marinette headed towards the bus.

"Call us once you get to the school!" Sabine called after her

"Promise!" she shouted back. Marinette was about to board the bus but she stopped and turned around to say, "I love you guys!"

After seeing her parents wave goodbye again, Marinette boarded the bus. Most of the seats were occupied by either bags or the owner of the luggage but there were a few empty seats.

Marinette began walking down the aisle to find an empty seat but as she was walking she didn't notice the leg that stuck out until...

WHAM!

With a gasp, the pony-tailed girl fell to the ground. Her bags and purse with Tikki inside went flying. With a small groan, Marinette began to pull herself to her knee when she heard a sickly familiar voice.

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng."

Chloe Bourgeois.

All of Marinette's angry thoughts were quickly pushed aside when she saw Tikki laying injured on the bus floor.

"Oh my, Tikki!" Momentarily forgetting about. her longtime bully, Marinette rushed over and cupped Tikki into her hands, "Are you okay?"

The plush groaned but smiled uo at her owner

"Oh my God! You actually brought that thing along?" Chole shrieked before releasing a fit of mocking laughter. The redhead sitting beside her looked over at Tikki.

"Well Chloe, at least your not the only one who brought-"

"Zip it, Sabrina!" Chole hissrs before turning back to Marinette, "Only a total freak would bring their dollie to high school,"

Tikki lookef ready to explode but Marinette had a tight hold on her.

"Hey!" a voice called out, everyone's head turned to see another girl with brown hair standing up in her seat with an annoyed yet confident look on her face, "Leave her alone,"

Marinette looked up at the girl with amazement, never had anyone stood up to Chloe, or for her in this case.

"Oh, look Sabrina! We've got a goody do-gooder here" the blonde laughed before stepping up to the girl, "What are you gonna do?" a sudden realization came acroas Chloe as she stepped back in fear, "What can you do?"

With a smug smile, the girl pushed up her glasses, "Wouldn't you like to know?"

Before anything else coukd happen, Miss Bustier showed up at the open bus door, "Excuse me, girls? The bus is about to leave, so please find a seat,"

The brunette humphed before gentlt grasping Marniette's wrist and lulking her away from Chloe, "Come on, girl,"

Marinette held onto her bags and Tikki as she allowed the brave girl to pull her away.

As the two sat down, the bus engine started up, the parent outside waved one final goodbye to the children onboard.

Marinette waved to her parents. and made sure Tikki was tucked safely in her purse before turning to the gir sirring in front of her, "Thank you for that, by the way,"

"Chillax, girl," she shrugged, "No biggie,"

How can she say that after standing up to Chloe? Marinette thought, "I so wish I can handle Chloe like you,"

The girl chuckled, "Trust me, all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing," Giving a stiff nod towards the blonde she continued, "That girl is just plain evil, and we are the good people. We can't let her get away with it,"

Marinette began to envy her confidence, "Easier said than done. She likes to make my life miserable,"

"That's only because you let her, just be confident, uh..."

The pigtailed girl smiled before extending her hand, "Marinette,"

The brunette smiled and accepted the handshake, "Alya,"

As the bus drove down the road, the two new friends began chatting about what they were expecting at the school and other such things. Like how Marinette's dream was to become a fadhion designer and Alya wanted to be a reporter. Soon the topicbof family came up.

"Is anyone else in your family a mutant?" Marinette asked

"So far just my Dad," Alya answered, "My two sisters haven't reached that age yet. How about you?"

"No, just me. My Dad thinks I got it from my grandma."

As all the other kids began to board the buses, Adrien came running into the parking lot. At some point last night, the boy had fallen asleep on a bench so he had to run all the way here just to make it in time.

Miss Bustier had just stepped off the girls bus when the gloved boy came up to him out of breath.

"I'm so sorry that I'm late," he had managed to say, "Can I still attend?"

"Of course," Miss Bustier said with a smile, "What's your name, dear?"

"Adrien," he said with a wide smile, "Adrien Agreste,"

Miss Bustier quickly checked the boy in on her clipboard, "Glad you made it in time. Go ahead and find a seat, we'll be leaving shortly."

Adrien thanked her again before walking towards the boy's bus. As he climbed on board, a few other boys turned to look at him while others ignored him. Many seats had already been filled by either the students or their bags but Adrien was able to find an empty spot for him. Setting his duffel bag onto the seat, Adrien plopped down and leaned back with a sigh of relief, he made it.

A minute later he felt someone tap his shoulder. Turning around, he saw it was the guy sitting behind him, the boy had on a red baseball cap and a pair of orange headphones around his neck.

"Hey dude, not to freak you out but I think there's something alive in your bag," he then began to frantically point at the duffel bad seating next to him.

Adrien looked down at his bag to see that it was shifting back and forth. With a raised eyebrow, Adrien slowly unzipped the bag and gasped at what he saw.

"Plagg! You pig,"

Indeed, Plagg was lounging in an empty box camembert. The remaining horrid smell was slowly seeping out of the bag, "That box was supposed to last you the whole trip," the boy scolded before the cat gave a large belch.

"Sorry you know how hungry I get in the mornings," Plagg shrugged much to his owners' annoyance.

"Sorry, me again." Adrien had forgotten about the boy sitting behind him until he spoke up again, "But what exactly is that?"

Adrien hesitated as he glanced back at the former toy, "Yeah honestly, I have no idea," he answered before deciding to change something, "I'm Adrien,"

The boy smiled and tipped his hat, "Nino Lahiffe,"

Just then the bus gave a lurched as it began to drive away from the parking lot. As the buses drove down the road, Nino noticed the nervous expression on the blonde boy's face.

"First time at a mutant school?" he questioned

"First time at any school," Adrien admitted

"Dude, seriously?"

"Yeah, I've been home-schooled my whole life,"

Nino smiled, "Well then, welcome to Mutant High!"

Hey peeps, I hope this makes up for my absent.

See you next update, I love you all.
